hm.. unbreakable sword cleaving through magic sounds a little strong for a starter... why not let him acquire the swords, which are his heritage if I read this correctly, through a quets. Thieves stole them or they got lost through other means.


Also his demon ability seems fine as long as you properly play out the difficulty to control it.

Invisibility and time manipulation also seems a little too strong for a beginner. tone it down a bit. your characters WILL be able to do cool stuff but just not from the get go.

Alright that's cool. So maybe she could go at a small range of speeds at the moment and can only go invisible for a few minutes before nausea hits her.

Name: Faelan


Race: Dragon


Age: Chronologically about 3,000. Biologically about 80.


Gender: Male


Appearance: Scales are mostly varying shades of gold, but he has some red on his head and around his spine. He is around 35 feet long, as he has yet to hit his 100-year growth spurt.


Abilities: He can breathe fire and has good eyesight and smell. He is somewhat strong, but only because of his size. His scales are of course quite hardy, but not nearly as much as an older dragon.


Also, he bites.


Items/Weapons: None that I could think of.


Personality: Intelligent given time, and rather cunning. However, he dislikes open combat and prefers not to engage in it. He likes cold hard information and hates ignorance. He is confident, but only up to a certain point.


Backstory: He was originally born at the end of the Fourth Dragon Age, around 3,000 years ago. The few dragons who thought their race would not survive convinced a few elven spellcasters to put a kidnapped young dragon under a stasis spell. This dragon was Faelan, and he was eventually woken up by the last of the elven spellcasters dying.


Now he lives in a cave in a small mountain, challenging anything that comes near him. He has recently started terrorizing a village called Groton about twenty miles away from his mountain.

I had dragon as really really powerful creatures in mind and a 3.000 year old dragon is a little too much, sorry :/

He's technically young... he was in the fantasy equivalent of cryosleep the whole time.

The thing is, if your and another player's char were to clash, both should have a reasonable chance of winning. If you can assure that, I'm fine with it.


Edit: Of course if they are of the same experience level.

I think I can. The only real advantage my character has is his size and fire. But he is very not agile, except in the air, and he is young so his hide is not hard. He cannot carry weapons or use magic.

Abilities: He can control fire but hasn't mastered it yet. He also has a resistance to fire, not too much really. Fire cant burn him badly and that's about it for his fire resistance. He can also run slightly faster than one normally would and can detect people based on their body heat.


Items/Weapons: A black and red cutlass he stole some time ago, a food supply, smoke bombs and a mask

Personality: He's a goof, that's what you see when you first meet him, then it gets slightly worse. He sticks to a plan but if need be he would abandon it. Hes also a grump sometimes. His good side is shown by the fact he would sacrifice limb, ( not life ) for his friends, he also knows how to pull his own weight if he hangs around with a group.


Back story: He was a kid, lived a normal life to a treasure hunter dad, his mom was a cook. One day he let his powers shine and they were unstable, extremely unstable, he was a ticking time bomb and ran away. He now lives a life of a thief, stealing from caravans and stores.
