Realistic or Modern City of the Dead

Jay looked surprised, not excepting the girl to drop her weapon. "I- Okay… Uh, in that case, I suggest we move. The infected will come back eventually, and I don't want to be here when they do. Pick your weapon back up, I trust you. For the moment, anyway." She said, slipping the knife back into it's makeshift sheath on her leg.

Sheath was a bit of an overstatement, as it was really a bunch of fabric scraps tied together crudely so as to hold the knife to her thigh. Just for easier, quicker access. It was a little dangerous, as her thigh itself wasn't really protected by the thin fabric, but Jay didn't really care. Having the occasional nick in her leg she could live with. Dying because she couldn't get to her knife fast enough, not so much.

At the sound of a thud, and yet another unfamiliar voice, Jay turned around yet again. The knife was back in her hands, and her eyes narrowed. Jay raised an eyebrow as she realized the voice had come from one of the dumpsters, and soon found it to be a guy. "Man. Two other survivors in one day… Bizzare…" She muttered under her breath, tightening her hold on the knife in case the new guy was hostile.

At the sight of the new boy, Kelly instantly bent down and picked her axe back up. She looked from the girl to him and decided that this was just as much as surprise to her as it was herself. "Where did you come from...? Surely you weren't jumping over the rooftops. One wrong step and you fall into an alley swarming with infected." she said. She kept one eyes peeking at the infected down the alley. They hadn't seen them yet. Fortunate.

Dorin quickly jumped out of the dumpster unsheathing his baton, it wouldn't be the best defense against an Axe and a knife but it would help. "Indeed I was roof hopping, better than the streets." He said to the girl with the axe. He then loosened his grip on his baton realizing these weren't hostiles. "So, what are you guys doing here?" He asks casually, hoping to ease the tension.

"I have no idea. I just met....her. And we were discussing where to go next. I was going to head out of the city after i gathered some more food and water. I just..I need to go. I need to find out if it's like this everywhere. It's a dumb thing to hope for maybe but...If we stay here, we'll never know. " she said softly. She hoped and prayed there was somewhere safe. Where she wouldn't have to watch her back every step she took.

Frankie was able to take a relaxing nap in his barricaded office. He awoke to be surprised how tired he was, nothing had woken him during the whole time he was sleeping. He stood and stretched, cracking his knuckles and neck in their stiffness. He looked out the window onto the street to see how riled up the zombies had become. He wondered what had stirred them up crazily and hoped nothing happened to anyone. He had spotted a few bodies in an alleyway between two buildings with another standing above, ready to jump. He wasn't quite sure what to make of the situation and he readied his rifle to aim at each head before realizing that they were live humans. He had not seen anyone alive that was not trying to kill him in quite some time and the people in the alley seemed like they were still deciding if they were going to kill each other.

Frankie decided to move around the second floor of his building until he found a place he could jump out. He saw a fire escape that let to what looked to be a five story building next door. He moved a desk that he could ram out the window and pushed it across the floor until it crashed out of the office building window. He slowed his pace, slung his rifle, and readied for the jump. Leaping across, Frankie felt the metal of the fire escape hit his body with a sickening thud. He tried his best not to let go, but the wind had been knocked out of him. He pulled his body over the railing only to feel a pair of undead hands grab at him. He cursed under his breath at being so shortsighted to not look for open windows. Thankfully, he was able to grab a hold on the ragged shirt of the zombie and push it off the edge of the fire escape. That would probably not be enough to kill it, but enough to get it out of his hair. Frankie stood up and began tracking up the fire escape until he reached the roof. He surveyed the surroundings until he found the people he had been looking at earlier. He would keep an eye on these people and see if they were good people or just another set of bandits for him to take care of.

(Geez, sorry guys.. I must have missed the last two notifications for this X3)

Jay stayed silent, letting the two of them talk. She didn't particularly trust the new guy, but he seemed about as hostile as the other chick, so she wasn't worried. But, nothing was that simple. Of course. Jay's skin crawled for unknown reasons, the hair on the back of her neck standing up. Maybe it was just nerves from being in a fully infected city? Maybe it was the general fear than something awful could come around the corner at any second? Either way, Jay was more on edge than usual.

"You sure seem to be trusting people…" She muttered, half to herself. The knife was still in her hand, and she didn't really feel like putting it away anytime soon. Part of her wanted to just leave the two together to talk, maybe just slip away to go scavenging. But the other part wanted to stay. Seeing non-infected people itself was amazing, but non-zombified people who weren't trying to kill and/or use her for themselves? That itself was fantastic. Though she still wasn't sure about the new guy, she was pretty sure someone wanting to kill her wouldn't fall off the roof and into a dumpster.

Kelly looked over to the girl and slowly put her axe back into the makeshift holster on her pack. "Have you eaten? I got some cans of fruit..." she said offering a can. She still didnt know if these two were trustworthy. It had been her experience nice people were rare these days. But she didnt know many other ways to try to gain trust these days

Elena grabbed her backpack and thew it over her shoulders, she looked up and realized it was time to find somewhere safe to stay. She pulled her long blonde hair back into a ponytail and began moving toward a building that was not one of the main sky-scrapers, but fairly large. She heard groans closing in on her and picked her walked up into a jog. She held her block 35 in her left hand and ran toward the building of her choice.

She arrived at the building and stood for a moment thinking how to truly approach it. There was an elevator shaft still open, but did not have a talent for climbing. She looked over at the door that said stairs and the groans coming behind the door made it clear it would be a struggle. She opened the door and stood back, she grabbed the knife from her boot and sliced the first zombies throat. She estimated another five and stood back realizing she would have to fire her weapon. She shot five times each one in the head, and moved up the first flight of stairs. Elena was unaware of the zombies who were coming from the outside to the inside of the building soon she found herself trapped.

She screamed and began shooting leaving room to run up the stairs.

"This is where it really ends... In a staircase of some shithole building.. great." Elena thought.
