Rin looked at him and giggled a little bit, nodding softly as she understood what he was saying. She fiddled with her bow for a bit, blushing as she looked down. She wasn't used to getting this much attention, in fact, people usually avoided her. She extended her arm, showing the right side up as she opened her palm, the cover sliding away to show the gears inside, before she closed it and brought it back to her. He sure was a charming little magician, so she didn't have a problem showing him what she was, most people already knew.

Aria and Zafarina


Aria went into the pre show tent. She shook her head, she couldn't wait to preform tonight, the twins had followed her and she wanted slap them from there annoying. Talk she saw the others and went up to Lucas. She nudged him gently the twins followed her"Hey ready for this?" She asked him."Yes I am 3 tonight met the twins?"she asked him. She sighed as the twins jumped in came next to her.


Zane/Jasper and Nikita/ Death


Zane and Nikita followed Aria. She went to talk to Lucas. They went to go with her. They popped at her side."Of course he." Zane started."Does why wouldn't he." Nikita finished. "Were the death." Zane started"defying twins." Nikita ended. Aria sighed "yes and they are annoying with there finishing of each others thoughts."aria said.

"Excuse me. But we're about to perform. Please ask questions later. Thank you."


Cenzio rudely interrupted in a blank voice. He acted in a robotic manner, like he was not alive. Palomar twitched uncontrollably to add on to the illusion that they were just 'robots'. Emmaline stood up, silently noting down that this man was an investigator. She especially could tell because of what he was wearing.


"Yes, after the show, you can ask as many questions as you like." Emmaline added in a soft voice, smiling a little too sweetly.

Nora crossed her arms at the two skeletal fiqures.


"You keep making jokes like that and Paul will turn you two into decorations."


She looked back at Emmaline as she picked up her mask.


"Thank you. and keep those two in check, Paul is in one of his infamous foul moods today."


She walked over to Marius wrapping an arm around him.


"Come on now, don't get so embarrassed."


She kissed his cheek as she donned the mask. Giving the signal to a worker that she was ready. She took a deep breath as she watchted the lights in the tent dim.


Two staff members blocked Will from going into the pre show tent's back stage area.


"Sir, you may speak to Nora after she performs."


Nora looked back at the man, she wore a frown but, with the mask on it was hard to tell. She carefuly stepped out from behind the curtens and posed in her starting position. The lights wen up and the music started, she began her dance.

Paul was about to go in his trailer when Edith approached him. His suspicions were right, the investigators were at the cirque tonight. He turned and looked at her.


"At the moment wait, we don't want to kick the bee hive just yet."


He looked at the crowds people attending the cirque tonight.


"The general public still likes us, if we go and cause troubles with the investigators we may loose that trust."


From what he had gathered, the investigators were a group of misfits the police gave this task too. He had upmost faith that they were of no concern.


"We should only intervene if they start accusing us of kidnapping and murder. Until then, keep a close eye on them."

"Me embarassed? Neever." He laughed as she kissed his cheek.He quickly returned the gesture before she went out on the stage."Good luck with your performance!" He called out in a hushed yell.


"I best go do my pre-show performance for the audience. Need to warm up somehow." He nodded to Emmaline and the two skeletal creatures as he exited the tent. His face was still a little red, but the audience would just chalk that up to nerves. As his pre show was a sword swallowing feat.

"Whoa there laddie. Bring back that enthusiasm just a little bit now." Sisceal chuckled as followed at Will's heels. "We've got to wait until Ms. Ravenwood is finished with her performance before we bombard her with questions. Wait till she's just leaving the stage and not around others so she'll actually talk more."

Lucas let out a frown on the outside, but he was really laughing in his mind. Vanity was as natural to him as breathing. Lucas let out a winning smile at Zorah that seemed to say "try it, I'll give you indigestion from start to finish." He then turned to Aria, Zane and Nikita.


"Ah my friends! What a pleasant surprise! Me and this woman were just talking of how dreadfully drab Paul is!"

"I understand monsieur Paul, however I'm afraid some of our performers may not be in total control of their charismatic faculties. For instance, Madame Fiona, bless her heart, has appeared to become inebriated off of her young'uns." Edith gestured to the general ruckus of the big tent. "If it is acceptable I would like to postpone my cleaning duties to watch over the performance."

Aria looked at the twins and then back at the inspector."what do you want to know" she asked her warily. She wasn't sure why this woman was asking. She pet Zafarina to calm her down. The twins jumped in."Why do." Zane started."ask?" Nikita said. She watched the woman the twins looked at her. Aria sighed"Again I apologize for them." She smacking the two to shut up. She dug her claws into them. "Ow Hey watch those claws you call nails." Zane said."agreed Nikita said. They pulled there hands away. She turned to Lucas and nudged him gently."Having a nice talk" she asked him?

Fiona spotted Sisceal and Will watching Nora onstage. "I'll admit, I now understand why the people are so enamored." She smirked at Fiona and the humans. "Don't show them everything, Miss Nora." Fiona warned, stumbling toward them. "That would ruin all the fun." She came out from behind the curtains that led backstage. "You wouldn't want that, would you?" Her spiders clicked their pincers threateningly at Will and Sisceal.

She said softly, keeping her voice down. "My voice does strange things to humans, and creatures alike, so I don't like using it very much." She admitted, looking inside as she thought about the acts.

Sayuri

Sayuri was standing on top of Paul's head, currently in doll form. In her hand was a small three-tip fork that had a piece of cheese on it. She would over and over put the cheese in her mouth, pull only the fork back out, then start moving the fork back into her mouth, another piece of cheese somehow there like it'd been there the whole time, eating cheese over and over and over. The doll didn't seem to pay much attention to whose head she was standing on, just simply stood there on Paul's head while eating cheese. @Lady Luna Ravenswood

Kaname

Kaname was once more wandering around, though this time, she was using her abilities to keep herself from crashing into anything or anybody. Of course, she massively failed when she accidentally bumped into Marius, falling down just like she did the last time she bumped into somebody. This time, she chose to be extremely polite and get in her apology before anything else. "I-I'm sorry...! I-I didn't mean to bump into you...! Please forgive me for being unable to see where I'm going...!" She said rapidly, currently bowing in apology, but bowing a little too much to the right.


For all Kaname knew, she could've just bumped into a wall or something, but she didn't. She'd actually bumped into a person like she assumed she did, but who it was was beyond Kaname, since she both didn't know anybody yet, and she couldn't tell who it was without voice if she did know people, given she can't see what they look like. Hoping that she would be forgiven, she kept herself in a bowing position, waiting to be forgiven, yelled at, hit, or otherwise. She just waited for one of the many things that happened when she bumped into people to happen right here. @Axel1313


Kiyoko

At least I get to do my part on my own... Kiyoko thought, walking through the circus in just her light blue shorts and her white sleeveless shirt. She was probably the only one of the detectives that didn't even have at least decent-looking clothes. She was planning to go and meet face-to-face with the owner Paul, but for now, she decided she would check out the Mirror Maze due to the possibility that's where all the victims disappear at. When Kiyoko went over to check the mirror maze out though, it seemed to be closed for whatever reason. I'll return later, I suppose... She thought, though stood there for a few minutes anyways.

The audience gave an audible gasp. Luckily Marius had a strong grip on the sword with his teeth. For when he was bumped into he faltered and moved more than he should have during this act //although he did feel a slight pain in his lung, but that was no problem. He'd heal pretty quickly from that.// He slipped the sword out of his mouth and bowed, hiding the little trickle of blood of course, before turning to Kaname. "You know you don't need to apologize." He smiled and put a gentle hand on her shoulder. "It's difficult to get around in these crowds at times."

Kaname's body suddenly jolted back, knocking the hand away as she panicked. "A-ah...! S-something touched me...! I-I don't like it when things touch me...!" She was shaking pretty badly, afraid of being touched because she couldn't confirm whether something was safe or not, blindness being the cause for it. "A c-crowd...? T-there's a crowd!?" she said a little quietly, now starting to panic even more. It was more than obvious that there was a crowd to those with the eyes to see, but she didn't have those eyes to see the crowd. Please tell me they're lying... There's no crowd... There's no crowd...! Crowds are scary...! I don't know what's going to happen...! @Axel1313

"Whoa whoa. Calm down now. It's just me." Marius reassured her in a soothing voice. "Yes, there is a crowd, but they're moving away now to watch Ms. Nora's performance. Just calm down and focus on the environment around you again and you'll see that you're in absolutely no danger right now. You're with a friend."

Nora finished her act to much applause and left the stage. There were already men calling for her to come back out, she rolled her eyes. It wasn't that they liked her, they were weak minded and easily gave into her energy. She could have been a man and those en would still want to get her. She spotted an unfamiliar woman who was talking to Marius. She was blind, that much was obvious, but Nora assumed she was yet another new recruit. She approached the woman.


"Hello, are you a new recruit?"


She stood near the woman.


"You don't need to worry, Marius here is in the same boat as you."


She was speaking of course about being blind, not that Marius was new. She also ignored the man that had been asking for her earlier.

Paul sighed at Edith's comment.


"I only hope Nora can help with that and, that the performers have enough brains to know when to hold their powers back. If I end with a cirque full of idiots I will just give up."


he went to add to that, when mall chunks of cheese fell from his hat.


"What? where did-"


He took off his hat to find a familiar looking doll on his hat.


"What did I say about dirtying my hat cheese girl?"


He gave her a serious expression. He wasn't like Nora, he didn't greet her with a warm smile and kind voice. he was rather cold and upset with a dash of anger.


"I will not tolerate it. Now, why are not with Nora or in the maze?"

Lucas smiled and nudged Aria back in the arm.


"I'm not sure if nice is the corrcet term, more like tolerable."


Lucas then turned to Sammy, his expression growing ever so slightly more weary.


"All I know is that Paul pays my paychecks and puts up with my arrogance. Although..." Lucas leaned in toward Sammy's ear. "I hear he has an affinity for hats..."

"Oh come now Monsieur Paul, the stain will easily come out with a little bit of acid and pigs blood. Nothing to risk a wrinkle on that pretty face about."


Edith gave the doll on top of Paul's head a mischievous smile.


"So tell me Paul, where did you find this lovely madame?"

Aria smirked and leaned on him gently as he talked she watched the Detective. Her eye's had almost flames in them. Yeah she had lizard like eye's. She always said it was just an illusion. She watched the woman and smirked as she asked about Paul,this woman thought they say anything to her about there ring Master. She let out a huff and stayed leaning on Lucas."Sorry to waist your time Detective but Paul is our Ringmaster he pays our checks. That's all you want to know something from him when the show is done go ask him yourself." Aria said. The twins smirked at her response. "She has a point."Zane said."I agree with both my brother and our fire princess, we leave you detective, thanks for asking nothing." Nikita says. Her and her brother walked for the pre show tent and slipped inside there wings catching on the tent slightly. They looked around and crossed there arms. Aria watched them go and understood there attitude towards this.

Kaname

"W-what am I supposed to focus on...?" Kaname said shakily. "T-the sounds...? T-the temperature...?" She was clearly a bit calmer now, though was still quite shaky and inquisitive. Her first day at the circus, and she'd already bumped into two people, was completely lost, and was afraid of the fact there was a crowd around her, being unable to see what any of the people do because she well... She was born blind. She was a little too panicky to realize she could attempt to sense everything around her, and being blind, she couldn't see that Marius was also blind. This made for her to assume Marius at least noticed the blindfold she wore and knew she was blind.


That's when another person came. At first, she was scared, but then she recognized the voice to be friendlier than most she hears every day. "Y-yes, I'm new... I was told I would be helping out with setup and cleanup..." Kaname slowly stood up, once more her blindfold slipping off her face from bumping into somebody and all that. Kaname's blindfold came all the way off and dropped to hanging from her neck. Her face went completely red as her left eye was completely revealed as pure white, the right still covered by the bandaging though. She knew for a fact her blindfold just fell off, and from past experience, people would always tell her her eyes were weird. She always took this as a bad thing though, never listening past the 'weird' part.

Sayuri

As Paul asked Sayuri why she wasn't with Nora or the Maze Mall, she was just suddenly, out of nowhere, hanging upside-down from the inside of the hat, fork gone from her hand. The girl slowly floated down from outside the hat, the cheese crumbs and everything vanishing from the hat as she slowly floated upright, at some unknown point her turning to her human self. "But I cleaned up my mess..." Sayuri said, a near-crying look on her face.


Sayuri took one step to the side and vanishing, reappearing on top of the hat once more in doll form, this time sitting. She held a sign that said "Because, I'm too nervous to stay in the maze, and Nora's busy." She flipped the sign around vertically, the back side with writing that read "You're mean though. Why can't you ever be nice to me?" One more flip vertically returned to the original side, but this time, instead of having the previous words, it had a picture of how mean Paul actually looks every time he gets on Sayuri's case for having the rare fun she ever gets to have outside the mirror maze, and it looked quite mean. Then again, Sayuri knew Paul probably didn't care how mean he looked, and that all he cared about was the hat she always messed with. Not once had she actually left without fixing any damage she's done to the hat though.

"Right, so you have nothing to worry about and focus on the sounds. Trust me, it helps." He smiled and stared blankly off into the distance. Unlike her, his eyes were perfectly clear and still as bright and golden colored as ever. The only indication of him being blind was that his gaze was faaar off in the distance and he could never focus his eyes on anything. The only way he knew she was blind was by the way she had bumped into him and the panic after that. He knew how that felt all too well. "Since you are a new recruit, Welcome! You will have to have Ms. Nora show you where the clean up and set up supplies are.....I have no idea where they've been put this time.."

Ashley stepped out of his trailer and made his way to the big top, where his performance would be opened. He touched up his facial makeup whilst peeking at a hand mirror, and kept up his straight posture. He wasn't too tall of a male, but he wasn't short either. Having a smaller and thinner figure didn't help in making him seem tall. But, being merely one for fashion, he didn't care much for height anyways, because he was actually the proper male height for modeling, so he wasn't too sure why he was worrying about the entire matter in the first place..


So, Ashley made his way—more like nervously and excitably fluttered—to his designated performance station and began his set-up. He was an trapeze/acrobat, so his destination was the big top itself. With its bright red and white stripes on its tall pinnacle spire, the cirque center was completely and utterly nerve-wracking. Ashley could feel the formation of goose bumps along his bare arms and legs, his thin and deft fingers skimming along the pale skin of his forearms. He admired the height of the innards of the big top, feeling the ambition of what his own performance would be.


♠Valentine♠


Valentine did just as Ashley did and headed towards his destination: the circus center of attraction. He was a magician, so he was one for a big act. Blue sparks and flavored fog, disappearing subjects and women in cut-apart boxes. What Val did for his act was definitely not for the faint of heart, with definite "ooh"s and "ahh"s from his surprised audience. His acts were on a variety of subjects, with quite a few risking his own life with non-tested demon energies. He loved danger, and it was something he had always looked forwards to when the cirque was back up and running.


What none of the cirque performers favored, however, were the investigators that tended to invade the park on its opening nights. That was when everyone had to form disguises and hide who they truly are, and make the circus seem so mundane to the human audience. No individual of the earthly realm is to know of those from the mythological realms, or there could be dire consequences. Performers could be caught and dissected, and that was a huge issue. But, Valentine hadn't need worry, with his acts seeming perfectly normal. He had studied mundane magicians, and often imitated them whilst adding his own special flair. With his stage being on the far opposite side of Ashley's, he began set-up without a word to the Adhene.

Fiona watched this all go on and was a little bit on the timid side as far as the show was going. Still, she knew that these blasted investigators would be handled. She decided to go find Jorah and see what he was up to. "He's probably flexing his muscles in front of people." She murmured, escaping out the back to search for the Egyptian. "Jorah? Where did you run off to? You know that the show has started, don't you?" She dashed off toward the crowd to search for him. "Jorah, darling?" She addressed everyone as such, even kissed everyone she spoke to on the cheeks. "Come inside."

Jorah turned his broad shoulders in the direction of Fiona's plee for him, the investigator wouldn't be a problem anytime soon as long as the arrogance of his counterparts stayed in check. Seeing Fiona at most twenty yards away he walked in her direction, his thick tail whipping back and forth slowly, he had always been less tough skinned around Fiona for the simple fact that she was always nice to him no matter the vibes he gave off. "Yes I know it has started, but the investigators are quite annoying nowadays," he said quietly as he met in front of Fiona, "Is it my act yet, has Nora finished," he asked as he surveyed around them.

Fiona giggled as she watched him come toward her. "Oh, you don't have to worry about them. Paul and Nora will look after us. You know that." She took his hands/paws, still drunk, and squeezed them. "Besides, humans are stupid creatures. Obviously they have a deathwish otherwise they wouldn't be here." She raised one of his paws up and over her head and spun herself, using her other hand to drink another vile of venom. "Even if you aren't next, we must be ready, love." She made sure her chest was showing. "You're doing a wonderful job, Jorah."
