Sounds like fun. Mind if I joined it as well?
For a character, I am thinking to maybe do someone from the military? Not the colonel, but just a member. Or would you rather that we are all survivors, I would be fine with either of course.
I don't mind a soldier as long it's done well, semi-accurately at least. They would have to be separated from establishment and command as again, their society will not be portrayed at all.

It's been ten years, so they would by all rights be ex-military, although habits and training would still be ingrained given the state of the world. This is my concern with accuracy in the depiction of an army soldier.

Yes Hidden, I believe we can start soon with what we've got.

Bob: this works because rumor in America was that Canada had safe zones all over, and the artic tundra further north made it hard for walkers to get around; they get stuck in the snow and the cold climate shuts the brain down after the corpse freezes.

These rumors are of course a falsehood, although the tundra theory holds true. Problem being there is nothing up there... Just tundra and the odd town.

you should make thread

A serial killer??

Can you provide some details when they are hammered out BK?

EDIT: -_- ' Making OOC threads is the hardest part of RPING. I detest the process with a steadfast passion. :P

Basicaly he just finds joy in killing and torturing people. Before the outbreak he was in prison, waiting to be put to death when all hell broke loose and he managed to escape.

Either way it's a rogue element that I'm having trouble picturing a long-term place for. Feels like this guy would have to die at some point, or do a really good job of skirting the fine between friend and foe to whoever he ends up meeting.

As a solo character study, it could be a fantastic experience if done with some class and finesse.

I'll need a good character sheet for him.

He'll fit right into the apocolpyse!

I wonder if ym character would kill your if he found out you tortured people... he's not into that hind of stuff. Like hes the type of dude to save some people from bandits without even showing himself.

We also need to dicuss the use of flashbacks peppered here and there to depict the unfolding of the crisis, and paint a contrast of characters pre & post-crisis.

Bob, John could probably teach Jolf a thing or two about post apocalypitc

stealth survival. He's been doing it masterfully and without so much as a hiccup for 10 years, that is until 3 little girls begin plucking at his heart strings, digging up the skeletal remains of his humanity.

He's the kind of guy who can kill an entire group of seasoned scavengers with nothing but a bow and knife without being detected for even a moment.

I plan on him using stealth sometimes but also going crazy with a machete. you know, for balance. (And for fun)

Just create a standardized apocalypse timeline

Hmm. So is he a social psychopath who will blend into society, or just a lone killer you should beware of if meeting?
Social psychopath.

He's smart enough not to go after large groups, he prefers to hunt down groups of 2-3, usually even less then that.

I like Jolf.

I have been thinking about two characters so far. First one would be the one I talked about earlier a female scavenger for the survival group, I am also thinking about making her a mute. I think it could be kind of interesting to write about, but that might just be me.

Second one would probably be quite the side-character to all these main-character types, heh, but I wanted to make a boy probably around 15-16, who is a little too eager to save the world. He would be the type who would idolize a lot of the tougher types and always trying to get in on ‘missions’. He can belong to the big survival group or a smaller one, doesn’t matter so much to me.

At least these have been some of the ideas I have been thinking about.

There is a time line. Ten years ago it happened. All over north America the dead began to rise and kill the living.

But who among you would be interested in using flashbacks for this effect?

You first ones would be where you were when it happened.

How it happened for you.

And if you chose to continue using them, they would cross into the ten year crisis period. Flashbacks of crisis time, how you survived, things you did, moments that changed you...

No one up and grabs the machete from the garage, declaring to the world, "I've been a'waitin' for this shot my whole life!" And promptly proceeds to behead inbound zombies with a sadistic smile and blood-stained face.

I want raw, powerful stories of humanity. Realism.

I am bored atm so I was gunna write about Jolf's friends dieing, tell the story a bit so works for me

28. He'll seem a bit older for his age but I hate playing older than 29 xD

besides, his background and resulting temperament works for any age older than 25ish.

[QUOTE="Loco Mofo]So, almost everyone wants to be around someone else ASAP?
The concept here is dying at break-neck speeds, and it's concerning.
