The Novalume family name has circulated through the kingdom of Rotia since its establishment. Serving as a crucial crutch to the kingdom, the noble family of vampires proved their worth over the years through their strategic military might. Serving as a night guard for the kingdom, they would keep watch and fiercely protect the kingdom utilizing the moon as their guiding light.

Backstory: In January 16th Zac was born into a low class family, with two siblings one boy and one girl. He lived his life normally but he always felt that the world was too unjust, everywhere he turned he could pratically see the innocent get hurt and the worst get worse. Sadly due to having absolutely no power over anything Zac simply endured, he was good at enduring afterall.

Many years later after aging to his 20s Zac was alone, he was in another city away from the family because of college and trying to step into life on his own. Not knowing it would end up that he would never be able to actually take even one step.

"It all started on January 15th, yes a day before my 'beatiful' celebration day. While walking back to my house, I couldn't stop but smell something hot... smokey. It was burning... yes something was burning! I saw the house, crumbling and burning down right in front of me, woman screaming about her child and utter chaos. At that moment I saw it, a rich man being saved from his room BEFORE the child! I couldn't believe it the firemen were practically letting the poor kid die just for some old rich guy! I couldn't! No I cannot make this someone elses problem! Without a thought in my mind I rushed inside the house, I could feel my skin burn yet I didnt stop. I AM good at enduring after all. I grabbed the child running out as fast as I could, feeling my feet burn and smoke infiltrate into my lungs yet I did not care. Child was looking at me with crying face yet I could see hope in his eyes! Hope… thats what I wanted to live fo-... I collapsed right at the door. Kid survived, yet I had taken too much damage and smoke into my system. Many years of smoking surely didn't help me.

That day I died, right before fading away I could still hear the kid crying calling out to me ‘Hero! Hero! Live!’. Knowing he survived was enough for me...”

Whizziemin originates from the First Continent, and comes from the same abyssal hole of spawn as all other monsters. Fortunately, he was graced with the blessing of two brothers, of which he himself was the middle sibling. Neramo as his older, who had a desire to become some sort of powerful Demon King, and Dreayth, who had goals of power and supporting his brothers. Even though the logic of their origin would denote that monsters wouldn't have siblings, it was how it was, and Whizzie followed them on their venture to the Second Continent where further chaos ensued.

While past events had happened, with Whizzie travelling with his brothers and meeting some interesting faces, one of the other most memorable people he had come across was Hiroshi. A rather attractive and alluring man with an aura of power, confidence and underlying cunning which peaked his interest. The land of non-monsters and its' inhabitants were... rather interesting, something he wished to toy around with.

Though in his time away from things, after a date to a casino ended up... rather lackluster, Whizzie would find himself sinking into some solitude to work upon his discoveries and research. In his time, he had managed to acquire a Black Orb, the same kind that were used to investigate the identities of people. An interesting creation, one which peaked his curiousities of the best that could have come out of this world's most genius minds. That, and after a major incident elsewhere in the world that involved a lot of bugs, the creatures and monsters of this continent also began peeking his interest.

In very determined research and isolation, Whizzie worked and toiled away to understand more of this reality, it's greatest accomplishments and all that, he tested a little bit on himself here and there and underwent a little bit of... curious change. Manipulation to one's self? Sounded like the kind of thing his biggest brother would be interested in. Unfortunately, it was his own interest to do with now, and with a little bit here and there, he found himself rather infatuated and addicted to the energizing feeling of his partially insectoid changes... though at the cost of an imperfected process and execution, it felt like he found himself weaker.

No matter, research was research. For the sake of whatever he pleased, he would get there. He was Whizziemin, the greatest of all time, and he would be royalty. No matter how many creatures he had to deem 'useful resource', or 'useless existence'.

Whizziemin is returning from isolation back to the world, looking to reconvene with his siblings if he can locate them, as well as perhaps a slight fondness to seek out wherever Hiroshi had went off to. Otherwise, it's up to whatever his mine concocts out of interests for him to chase after.

Leo Valenhart was the ninth and youngest child of House Valenhart, a family renowned for their impeccable swordsmanship. Unfortunately for Leo, he was about as good with a sword as a fish was at climbing trees. His siblings carved their names into history with their elegant bladework, while Leo carved up more kitchen accidents than battle victories. His family considered him "useless," a sentiment they rarely bothered to hide.

But Leo wasn’t completely hopeless - not that anyone cared. He had a knack for theory, understanding battle tactics and techniques better than most. However, when it came time to put those theories into practice, well, let's just say he was better at dodging swords than swinging them.

Instead of enduring endless lectures and bruises, Leo often snuck away from training. He’d pester adventurers for tales of glory and tag along with hunters in nearby woods. This was his real passion - hearing stories of adventure, mischief, and distant lands where swordsmanship wasn't the only path to greatness.

On the stormy night before his dreaded coming-of-age ceremony, Leo made a bold decision: he was going to run away rather than face humiliation and likely end up as cannon fodder in the kingdom’s army. It was all going well until his horse slipped in the mud, sending both steed and rider hurtling off a cliff. As he plummeted toward what should've been his dramatic and very messy end, Leo thought, "Well, this is new."
When Leo woke up, he was surprisingly not dead - just very confused. The sky was clear, the grass greener than anything he’d seen before, and most importantly, nobody was waving a sword at him. It didn’t take a genius to realize this wasn’t home, but Leo wasn't about to complain.

He wandered into a small, cozy village where the locals took pity on his “memory loss” excuse. They let him stay, and Leo did odd jobs to repay their kindness. During his time there, he stumbled upon some books about tinkering. The foreign terms should have stumped him, but his mind just clicked with the concepts.

Soon enough, he was piecing together scraps of metal, wood, and elastic quartz crystal. The result? A slingshot that packed a punch and made the villagers laugh at his absurd accuracy. They joked that he might finally be useful for scaring off crows. Leo took it as a compliment.

Life in the village was peaceful, but peace wasn’t what Leo wanted. After getting comfortable and learning the basics of this strange new world, he knew it was time to move on. Armed with his trusty slingshot, a bag full of tinkered odds and ends, and a grin that spoke of playful mischief, Leo set off into the unknown.

Backstory: He was just a boy. Age of nine and attending elementary school like the rest. Raised by a caring pair of parents. He was one of few children of his age that wasn't afraid of the dark. He reveled in it. He sought it out. And one day, he fell into it. Becoming lost in it. Seeing what truly lies within the darkness. Meeting it, and making a pack with it. One of safety and power in return for worship. Concepts he only partially understood in his youth. But, coming out on the other side to meet a world that was not his own, he quickly understood what was required of him.
Current Life: Aleris found himself alone, at the stoop of a lesser known magical academy in the Duchy of Roran. He refused to tell the truth of his past or where he came from, choosing instead a lie of amnesia (Deception skill). And so when no one else stepped up, the Academy's Librarian, A kind old human man named Terrance Monferrat, took him in after much debate among the staff and administration. When he showed the capability to use magic, he attempted to join the academy. And was eventually accepted into the Academy of Rapture [Magic School]. Although, he found his teachers to be dry and while he did graduate, he engaged very little with the classes. Instead choosing to use his access to the academy library, through his adopted father's position, to self teach himself some the magical arts that were more advanced than someone of his normal level (academia and arcana skills). He progressed quickly, far quicker than most in the academy. And that is when the dreams began. The being in the darkness began to speak with him again. Reminding him of his purpose. And so when he came of age he bid his adoptive father farewell. Leaving the city, and beginning his journey to complete his mission.

Soreiel was once an ancient and all powerful god of darkness and destruction named Grima. For countless Eons Grima was part of the natural order of things in his world along side the god of light and life, his opposite. This opposite named Naga would try anything she could think of to save the world that was doomed to be destroyed, the heroes she would summon would fight for light, only for most to eventually succumb to the allure of power Grima offered.

With these turned heroes Grima would lead the world to its doom, however Naga would then send one of her still loyal warriors to the past to try and alter fate, leading to a never ending cycle of pain and suffering, death and destruction. Naga didn’t see this as a fundamental aspect of nature, or even as the undeniable fragility of human nature, no she saw this as a personal attack, and after seeing her beloved heroes and world being destroyed more times then they were saved, she had enough, she used every ounce of power she had for the next iteration to send her opposite, mind and soul to a different universe, to finally rid the world of the dark gods influence. Naïvely Naga thought this would either leave the dark god unable to return, or teach him a valuable lesson on how life mattered and how it should be saved and not destroyed. Unfortunately this thinking would lead her world to collapse within a few generations.

Soreiel was born into slavery as her parents had already been enslaved, she has no knowledge of her home or how beastkin society functions.

Being from the standard, plain, boring, default Earth just like a lot of other Isekai victims, Axi was an always-positive and sunny-days firm believer and follower of his one true lord: Jesus Christ. Nothing out of the ordinary as a person-wise, he'd go about his regular day and life doing simple mundane jobs and life, just trying to help and be nice wherever possible even when the world wasn't fond of him or his ways. This could be from feeding homeless and those in need, helping out at any places that needed help for caring those in health/life troubles, or simply spreading the word. Everyday was one long wait for the Rapture, that was until one day where the world apparently had other plans for him.

One fateful night, he'd find himself awoken from his slumber by a golden light. Not sure if it was the demons messing with him again, or something genuinely prophetic, it wouldn't be long before he'd be dragged through some sort of portal elsewhere to another world. Not that he knew where he was going or why, he knew that he'd find out sooner or later. God had a plan, there was always a plan, and whilst he himself had no clue what it could be, there was definitely some reason he'd been divinely sent to another realm.

Being abruptly sent to a new unknown world, strangely finding himself decked in armour and with a large kiteshield he'd never seen before (likely wherever his first RP is).

As... unexpected as it is considering her demeanor, Echo was born a princess. With her mother being a promiscous, power-hungry ruler, she was merely one of many in line to the planet's throne, ranking eighth. But being born an incredibly frail fawn, rather than any far-fetched dreams of competing for the throne, Echo was just happy to have been blessed with survival. If she was not born a princess, with the lap of luxury and the best cybernetics at her disposal, she wouldn't have even come close to surviving.

So, even if she gradually became neglected and forgotten about in the radiance of her siblings' galaxy-wide talents and grandeur, she was grateful.

It wasn't always lonely, though. Her precious older brother, though from a different father, was a kind soul also without interest in the throne. He would accompany her occasionally in between his studies, listening to her ramble about her little mecha dolls and teasing her with little magic tricks he had learnt in his trips to other star systems.

She thought she knew him, and was content to live the rest of her life tucked away in their little corner of the palace. So, she couldn't believe her eyes when he forced all of their siblings, parents and family members into a brutal murder game, cackling madly to himself as he toyed with their existences.

The auntie he constantly praised and looked up to for her intellect? Shot with a self-immolation dart.
The brother he promised to see the end of the void with? Head blown off by a plasma launcher.
The mother he had worked tirelessly to save from her parasitic battle wounds? Eaten alive by nanobugs.

He slaughtered everyone in the way of his throne without restraint, each move cruelly calculated and planned more than a decade in advance. Except for her. The derision in his eyes as he looked at her was something she could never forget. Something less than an ant. Kept only as a harmless pawn. She would rather have been killed too than be looked at in such a way by the person she loved most.

The trauma from that day broke her. She stopped speaking, eating, or even doing much, staring at the walls as she wasted away in the little pretty castle he so generously placed her in. She wasn't sure how long she lived for past that day, before she could handle it no longer.

“Born from the first tears of the azure and the first rays of the morning, a creature of grand magnificence who brought colour to the world and greeted it with an aubade upon every new sunrise. With eyes that sparkled with the stars handpicked from the night, glittering scales the colour of the aether and wings with feathers as soft as the clouds and that reflected every colour an eye could see. Such a wondrous creature he was, and yet he did not know or comprehend the world he was born to, a stranger he was; for although he was benevolent in all manners and mean, he was still creature far too grand for mortals to bear.

The creature would sing with every sunrise, but all who heard it would feel the land shake, the rivers tremble and the trees bend. When the came down from its perch in the clouds to dance with small creatures, he did not hear screams of terror but instead thought they were singing, running around as if to dance. The creature was naive and so easily it were tricked.

A powerful witch who wished to have her name be seen as noble and to be venerated in tales as a hero, would face the dragon. Trick him. Easily she did, beckoning him near and tying him down with ropes of pearlesce magic. She broke the creature down and finding its wings too beautiful to destroy, tied them down with silver chains. Leaving behind nothing but its spirit, she sealed the creature within a stone, the colour of its wings remaining as the only vestige of the creature’s existence, trapped within a small stone…”


The rest of the story transitions into that of the witch, regaling her conquests. The witch dies in the end when sacrificing her life in the name of protecting all the people she’s loved. In the end however, those people all die meaninglessly anyway.

“H- huh?” The sylph looked around and found herself in a cold place, colours of all kinds—some real and beyond real—reflecting off of the stone hall. “I am sure I was… Oh my… Oh…” She looked forlornly at the floor, hugging herself. She was about to cry, after all, there was so much she could never do now and yet she did want to cry because the things she could never do, she was crying because of all the people she would disappoint, the people who would cry for her, the people who's worlds shatter because of her—the sylph's life was not her own and it wasn't for her to decide whether or not it would be so easily thrown away. She should have declined the request. She should have been more selfish. If she had more self-preservation... She just did not understand how they could do this, she wasn't the only... She could understand, she just didn't want to. Oh, what a selfish, selfish creature she was. She deserved this and yet she believed it without a doubt that all the people who cheered for her, smiled because of her and who wanted to hear her... Even if she cried for all eternity, damned to suffer ineffable pains, it would not be enough to repent for all that she has incurred. "Lofty... I was far too lofty... I am not immortal. I never imagined a world where I would..." She crouched, burying her face in her knees. Long transparent hair, shimmering with the colour reflecting off the stone halls. Her hair had grown considerably since she last cut it.

Where had she gone wrong? Was it when she left the glade? Wandering past the border of anemones, talking with the nereids and then entering the breathing air? Was it being fathered by a human? In that library of fantastical books, learning their language, seeing their smiles, singing their songs and falling in love with all things that would one day die? Was it when she left to propagate her ideals to the world? In Ryke, when she sang at that festival in winter? When she sang with that man and beast to quell the qualms of trolls? When she travelled to Aslan, when she met... Seven, Finn, Iduna, Pierre and... That was the time when she realised how fleeting life could be, how useless she truly could be. How could she even dare to smile after that? Then in the forest too, she almost killed everyone... Hypocrite. Crazy. Useless. Idiot. Monster. To compare herself to monsters, was to insult them.

She feigned harmlessness, yet she could easily end the lives of the people so adored. She was even more useless then, she couldn't even understand how they could dub her an agent. All she did was cry and watched as everything burned. She was too morose at the time to even be embarassed when they found her curled up in a ball, still crying with the one eye that she had. She didn't deserve to meet Euthalia, Islwyn, Keone or Calliope. She didn't deserve to be called an 'Idol' by her fans. Zahrah, Oden... The people at that festival with the bears, she couldn't do anything then either.

Till the moment that she died, she was a useless, selfish creature underserving of any of the world's kindness or beauty. Even now, she wished she could at least see everyone for one last time, hear their voices and see their smiles. She couldn't even weep. Shameful she was, she was in anguish for even the wind could not reach her now. She longed to hear how the leaves rustled, to see how light sparkled on the surface of water. To love all things destined to die, meant to love one's self as well, and yet she could not do that either.

“Help me…” Broke the silence that defeaned the sylph. The softest voice she had ever heard, and as if to forget all her shame and tears she would've wept and the regrets and people she wished to see, the sylph stood and gladly ran down the rough, stone path given to her.

“Help me… Help me… Help me…” “Do not worry, I can... I will!—” At the end of the hall she stopped and for the first time her feet felt sore and ripped, afterall, sylphid feared all solid ground. Twelve wings tied together—shining with a pristine light of colours she could not comprehend—belonging to a thin, worn brazen body that could not even look at her, its head dropped and seeming sore. It was speaking so sadly to her, and she could not help but begin to cry. “Help me… Please oh I beg of you, please help me—” “How can I help you, do not worry. You are fine, you are fine. I can heal you, just listen—” “Do not… Please… Lend me it…” The sylph seemed confused. She did not understand the light of colour, it was so cold and lonely and could not even move. “What is it?”

There was only one thing she could offer now. She had no body, her catalyst had been broken, she was a piece that was no longer meant to linger. All that was her should have vanished. Sylphid were not supposed to linger, they were to become air that danced forever in the wind, until even that eventually disappear. That was her destiny, if not for the stone she were wearing over her chest. The brazen body slowly, very very slowly, outstretched its hand toward the sylph. “Your... soul. Essence. It is fading... lend me it so I can live...” She didn’t even need to answer. Ophenia had made her choice as soon as she had ran here. She was nothing anymore, so the last thing she could do was at least help one person.

She lent her hand to its own weak hand and with a pull all too ravenous... she ceased from existence. Yet, in all her will to help even one person before she ceased, she knew not of the grave mistake she has made and what she has gifted the world in her departure from existence. A las, even in Ophánia's death, she made the stupidest decision of all supidities.

Ahhh~” That was so much better. He stretched his arms and lifted himself from the ground with a little trouble. “Oh.” He said, grimacing. “My wings are still chained.” He felt them dragging behind him. He looked at the golden heart with the red opal in middle, at his feet; laying in the pile of tattered, yet sparkling, diaphanous chiffons where a body should have been. “Oh, you sweet little sylph. This world did not deserve a creature so harmlessly unself as yourself.” He picked it “Yet it seems you are the one most favoured and loved by that god, you get to evanesce before it all goes away.” He broke it in his hands. The red jewels shattered and the gold crumpled. “The dream to make everyone happy. Well, everyone will be happy if I’m the only one on this wretched plane!” He laughed and threw the golden heart behind him. He looked at the sky with a smile. It was dark, stars glittering far in the distance and the moons were still placed in the sky aswell, it was exactly the same as the day he was no longer needed by this world. "Seems tonight, the stars are touched by the wind." He sang, stepping on the tattered costume and making his way about the lands.

From the air that once sang songs with such joy and beauty, only mournful cries now echoed.

Aquatic monsters sounding like their are drowning or underwater while firey monsters may sound like they are burning alive or are otherwise a consuming flame.

Backstory: Kenzo Takamura was born and raised in a rural farming village in Japan. Spending his days as both a child and teen tending to the land with incredible proficiency. His one true love, and personal hobby though was wrestling. He wanted everything to do with it; lived for it, craved it, studied in it even. When not in school, or when he finished a day’s hard work he would watch reels of Wrestling clips over and over again on repeat, always imitating the moves he would see. After finishing high school, Kenzo would continue to work on his family’s plot of land. With more free time on his hand, he kept up the antics with his wrestling lifestyle. Sometimes getting far more outlandish with his elaborate imitations of the moves up until he caused his own death. Poor Kenzo wasn’t as careful as he should have been during a Swanton Bomb gone wrong, snapping his neck upon impact .
Current Life: Kenzo Takamura has since acclimated to the new world around him. At first, he expressed incredible shame and embarrassment for his accident that caused him a one-way ticket over here. Although when one thinks about it, what’s so bad about being a Wrestler in another world anyway? It sounds exactly like what he dreamed of, just in a different way. .

Hoshino's life was more of a living hell than a real life. From a young age, she'd separated from her parents during one fateful vacation, and was then captured and sold on the black market as a slave. Over an incalculable amount of time that felt like an eternity, she'd tasted near-death experiences, over and over again, all for the sick games of her 'owners.' Only by the time she'd grown to adulthood, did she finally escape... through the release of death.
Because of Hoshino's kind heart and lack of mental development, she was reincarnated as a young angel, to give her a second chance at a childhood. The Fall of the Tuatha Dé Danaan

The sky had always seemed endless to her, a living tapestry of shifting constellations tracing unseen patterns across the heavens. The stars were not just lights in the dark. They were guides, storytellers, and keepers of forgotten truths. Her people had lived in harmony with the land, their cities woven into the roots of the world itself - great spires of stone that breathed with magic, halls of knowledge carved into sacred groves where the wind whispered forgotten names. They were not merely scholars but guardians of history, preserving not only knowledge but the very essence of things that might otherwise fade.

Caelith had spent her life among the archives of the old world, where stories were not merely told or read but woven into the fabric of time itself. She studied the rise and fall of kings, the disappearance of entire civilizations, and the way magic ebbed and flowed like the tides. But even among her people, certain truths were left untouched, questions no one dared ask.

She asked them anyway. That was when the world began to change.

The first sign had been the silence. One evening, as she traced her fingers over the pages of a tome no one had touched in centuries, the world around her grew still. There were no rustling leaves, distant footsteps, or murmurings of spirits in the sacred halls. The wind held its breath, and she felt truly alone for the first time in her immeasurable life.

The second sign had been the fading. She watched as ink vanished from parchment and runes carved in stone crumbled to dust. The great spires, the sacred groves, the halls of wisdom—they did not fall, nor did they burn. They ceased to be.

The third sign had been the fall. She did not scream. There was no pain, no sensation of movement - only the feeling of being unmoored, untethered from everything she had ever known. The stars above her flickered, and then…

Darkness.

When she awoke, she was no longer in her world. No great spires. No ancient halls. No more familiar constellations to guide her path. Only a new sky, a new world, and the weight of questions that no longer had answers.
The Scholar's Path:

The first thing she learned in this world was that knowledge was not as freely given as hoped.

The See of Fae was a land of devotion, where the sacred was interwoven with daily life. Every path, every tree, every ripple of wind carried the whispers of faith, a living testament to the Spirit King and his will. There was wisdom here, of course. The denizens of the See held stories that stretched back farther than any human kingdom, records that defied time itself. And yet, there were questions she could not ask and answers that could or would not be given.

Caelith had studied beneath the canopy of the great temples, walked the sacred halls where the light filtered through crystal-bound runes, and listened to the orations of the clergy. She knew the verses well enough to recite them, to appear as a faithful seeker of knowledge rather than a questioner of it. But there was always a limit, a line she could not cross. When she asked about the histories before the founding of the See, the responses were vague, reverent, but unsatisfying. When she inquired about the wars, the shifts in power, or why the world remained as it was, the words were gentle but final.

Some knowledge is not meant to be pursued.

So, she went beyond their borders.

The Grand Duchy of Roran, bordering the See, promised something different—a structured pursuit of knowledge, an openness to magical and historical studies beyond faith. In Aslan, she walked streets unlike anything in the See: towering spires of stone and magic, shimmering barriers that turned away those with ill intent, and libraries that stretched farther than the eye could follow. And yet, even here, knowledge was not easily obtained.

The great archives hummed with magical constructs at the Wise Owl Library, guiding scholars through its labyrinthine shelves. She could wander to a certain extent and study, but she could not go beyond. The restricted sections were locked to those without status, and she held no standing in the Duchy. The doors of knowledge remained closed, guarded by bureaucracy.

But if the archives would not open their doors, she would find her answers elsewhere.

And so, when she stumbles upon something unknown - a name unspoken in the great halls, a place absent from recorded maps, a whisper of history lost to time - she reaches for a familiar, well-worn book. Once it had been filled cover to cover, its pages dense with knowledge that no longer existed. Now, its pages are empty, hollow ghosts of what they once held and a mirror of the empty shell of the life she once had.

She dips a quill into ink, its dark tip hovering over parchment like a blade over untouched snow. And then she writes.

Each letter, each careful stroke, gives the book a new life. Not as it was, but as it must become - a record of what she refuses to let be forgotten or unknown in this world.

Cindy Creed was born under a sky painted with the fiery hues of a setting sun, in one of the small villages in the Tatsumi-Gawa Woodland area of the Kuridan Republic, near the border with the Kingdom of Rotia. Her parents were travelling warriors, and yet they decided to settle down in a small village on the outskirts of the Kuridan Republic because her mother was pregnant with Cindy at the time.

Cindy grew up hearing stories of her parents' travels, the fights they fought, the monsters they have slain, the lands they travelled. Through their stories, she learned most of the world. Despite her gentle and loving nature, she grew up to be quite a warrior herself, hiding her feminine and gentle nature behind her tough and harsh exterior. Though she still preferred using her own body as a weapon rather than a blade or an axe, as she was quite proud of how tough it was. Some time during her teenage years, she left home for adventure, hoping to mirror her parents’ wanderlust. During the same year, she left her hometown, she joined a small mercenary company with which she travelled for most of her years. Because of her unwavering loyalty, relentless spirit, and mostly because of her scouting ability, she quickly rose through their ranks, despite being the weakest of them, she was an irreplaceable part of the company. Some even would call her the big sister of the company despite her being probably one of the youngest ones in it. Soon enough she was the second in command of this small mercenary company. A position that earned her the respect and admiration of her comrades, some even jested and spoke that she might be the true leader of this company. Even the company’s captain at some point entertained the idea, and yet never proceeded with it.

Some feral day, a letter arrived to her from her village, it bore grim news, her parents were gravely ill. Cindy without even informing the others from the company run as fast as she could. She travelled to her hometown as fast as she could from where her company was stationed to her hometown, losing the letter at the company camp in the process. Cindy traveled with a heavy heart, full of worry for her parents, she neglected her own state in her travel there. Her home village, once a haven of warmth and familiarity, now felt cold and empty.
Her parents, weakened by an unknown to her ailment, laid in their bed, faces etched with pain.

For the next few days Cindy tended to her parents with great care with the help of the villagers, but even with all that effort her parents' lives were drawing to an end. In their dying breaths they whispered to Cindy their last wish. Their wish was simply and yet hard to fulfill, they wanted to be cremated and their ashes spread in their hometown, a place that was never mentioned to Cindy. Not in normal conversations nor in one of their stories.

And even then she wished to fulfill their wish.

Torn between her duty to her company and the yearning to fulfill her parents' final wish, Cindy made a difficult decision. She sent a letter to her mercenary company not having the heart to see them, mentioning to them that she is leaving them to fulfill her parents' dying wish, leaving the life she had built for herself so far, the comrades she had grown to love. Now a lone mercenary she roams the world, her heart filled with sorrow and determination. Every sunrise brought a renewed hope, every sunset a reminder of the journey ahead. She carried within herself the memory of her parents, their love a guiding star in her travels. Her quest, a pilgrimage of love and remembrance, would hopefully lead her to the place her parents' ashes should find their final resting place. And when she completes it... Well, it will be a time for her to start her life anew.

It is said he was born a man during the cradle of civilization. Some records find evidence of Al Shahbaz's existence, which dates back to 7500 BC in the city of Uruk. Some say he is from the City of Jericho, though few say. The legend in his previous world stated that he was a great builder and architect. He had built a temple for a figure so great that he had met one who sought to give him immortality to preserve his skills. Some called the condition a curse as it made fire, silver, and sun his bane. Yet in exchange, he would gain great power and immortality, so long as he drank the life away from humans. Shahbaz is said to have built many temples with naught but his bare hands and a few minor sacrifices. Some even go as far as to claim that "misshapen" offspring were offered up to him as a favor.

In roughly 1200 AD, somewhere in Eastern Europe, Shahbaz was banished and sent away from this world a monster -- whom a group of witches had difficulty conjuring a way to kill. A bloodsucking monster who was resistant to magics and holy symbols was instead banished from this world through an ancient ritual.

For thousands of years, he would sleep and rest. When he awakens, he does not know where he is. The land was cold and frigid, yet this fact was not what bothered him. This sleep was not peaceful, he went mad without blood. It was only a matter of time however, before he was found and tasked with bringing about change in the world. There was no specification as to whether or not it would be for the better or for worse.

Things of his body changed, as he found himself able to stand the sun. One thing, however, did not change, as he smelled the familiar pangs of blood for the first time in years. The beast gnawed at his mind -- robbing him of memories and senses. Thus it is that he would wander like a rabid animal, seeking to eat his fill and rid himself of the hunger which clouds his mind.

While some of his goals may remain a mystery, one thing will always be certain, and that will be the desire for blood to take precedence over all else.

Backstory:
Nicola was born into the capitol wasteland, into the brotherhood of steel just as the the lone wanderer was having their adventure. She never actually met them or if she did she was a baby and has never been told that she did. This of course let her grow up in a time of semi peace, as while there were settlements that wouldn't listen to the brotherhood, and of course mutants to get rid of it was nothing compared to just a few years before. Nicola was more drawn tot he life of a scribe, than the life of a paladin but, still she did need to go through the normal process of training for combat and would get to more technologically relevant duties latter. Aside from elder Maxson rising to his rank far to early and both of the lyons dying there was little action in the capitol as it became more and more civilized. The brotherhood grew in power using the technology of it's foe to gain strength and Nicola was never as certain as other squires or initiates in the brotherhood way of things. Still it was her life and she doubted she would leave, just always have her doubts.

When she was 15 the brotherhood invaded the commonwealth seeking to destroy the institute and it's synths. Also to expand it's own power, or so Nicola found herself thinking as she noted how the others treated those below their flying fortress. Here she would meet a legend without knowing it, the sole survivor who aided the paladin dance and the brotherhood. Meeting a legend however, would not be what defined Nicola's times in the commonwealth, after all it had only been brief. What has come to define her instead happened during the brotherhood's crusade against the institute and anyone with technology. By this time Nicola was no longer a squire but an initiate scribe and worked with paladin groups in the field.

The thing about field work, was that even with an escort of heavily armored people that could bench press a tank and equipped with the greatest weapons known to man things can go wrong fast. That didn't always happen, but on more than one occasion the group Nicola was with would be attacked either by synths or even by locals ungrateful for the brotherhood's protection. One of these attacks was what would cause Nicola's life to change forever, though attack is the wrong word it was an ambush. The children of atom, deluded fanatics with a love for everything radiation based had decided to be enemies of the brotherhood and had been pushed out of the capitol. The thing about the children is they were far more clever than raiders and even rigged up radiation based landmines. Unaware of the ambush the first sign that there was one, was the explosion of the paladin beside her. The power armored man was engulfed in nuclear fire so hot his fusion core detonated causing a secondary explosion. Nicola had no clue what had happened one moment she was walking beside him and the next she was in sick pain in the worst pain she had ever felt.

It was thanks to the heavy power armor that Nicola even survived the consecutive blasts, but she was left burned, half blind and crippled. The brotherhood medics didn't think she would survive as the fact she had even been rescued was a miracle in of itself. When Nicola had regained enough of her throat to ask she had been told it had been the sole survivor that happened to notice the explosion, though this might be a story as she was also told it was a mysterious man in a trench coat and just a another squad that was nearby that had saved her. Despite what the medics had predicted Nicola would pull through and even recover rather swiftly. Some would suspect the bomb of the children had something extra mixed it but there was no way to confirm that. Either way the brotherhood would rig up a power armor frame so that Nicola could walk like they had with ingram. This restored Nicola's mobility, but despite her recovering her health never truly came back and illness and infections became common for her.

Nicola would during the year of her recovery and rehabilitation get to see the conflict with the institute end and her doubts about the brotherhood boil over. While Nicola didn't care to much about the synths, she didn't hate them either, the fact elder Maxon had blown the institute up without even trying to save anything annoyed her. When she learned of some of the biological wonders the institute had that was the final straw as they might have been able to use that technology to help her, and others but instead blew it up. Nicola decided she would forge her own path and stole a set of t60 armor and some cores before leaving the base.

Now Nicola wasn't just blindly running away, she had dug through records and amid the had seen reports of the mid west brotherhood and their rather odd tales. The one that interested her was the calculator and his robot army. While not exactly the synthetic limbs and organs she wanted, there were at least humanoid machines there. It was on her journey to the vault of the calculator that Nicola would find Ruth and while not cooperative at first, Nicola manage to shut her down and reprogram her. From then off Nicola would later Ruth and force feed her medical data at every chance. The two would make decent time to the vault and found it nice and abandoned, also mostly looted. Scrap metal even from killer robots was still scrap metal and thus sought after. Still there were some doors left unopened, sealed from before even the fall of the calculator.

In the vaults sealed chambers there was at least one broken humanoid robot that Nicola would repair and reprogram. That however was not the real prize as while most assumed all the data in the vault had died with the calculator, there was a partial back up of the data. The calculator had not managed to copy everything, but there was plenty of advanced schematics for Nicola to pour through. It was this treasure trove of schematics and data that allowed Nicola to change her power armor into her war casket. It also helped her built her various modifications to her own body.

Once Nicola could actually travel without risk of infection and had recovered from brain surgery she decided to move on. while the base was nice it lacked what she really wanted, a way to heal her broken form. There were other places she had found in record, like the place know as big Mt. Well she found it, and was rather swiftly run off from the place by the defenders before she even got to look into even one terminal. Nicola would try several times to get in only to be repulsed each time. She would just have to give up, or come back with greater forces. With on avenue of healing herself she decided to return east as there was another place that once could have fixed her, the institute.

Years had passed and hunting synths is no easy feat, but Nicola has managed it and even added an assultron to her retinue. With serval synth dissections under her belt and after finding their flesh is just human flesh she has decided that they are a dead end. Well the creations might not give their secrets to her, but former institute members that got away might. This has lead her to the big apple , some hints say some ex bio scientists might be hiding out there, and who knows what other technology might be there. That was at least until one experiment went wrong and the lab she had made exploded seemingly killing her and destroying her robots.
