Fairy Tail: A Guild for New Ages follows a new guild created after two hundred years of magical suppression within Fiore due to the destruction and disruption that magical guilds had caused in the lives of everyday people throughout the country. For those two years, mages have been forbidden from gathering and organizing. A drug was also developed that suppresses magical abilities, designed mostly with the intention of being used for those who cannot control their abilities and who do not have access to a teacher due to the lack of mass gatherings of mages.

Times are changing fast, though. A new crisis rises that requires mages to gather once more although it's unknown whether or not they will truly be capable of solving this mystery. Is it something even the magic of friendship can best or will it send the world into an even darker era than the one it is just rising from the ashes of? Only time will tell the truth of it all.

Fighting Style: They engage in a style of martial combat that focuses on raw power with additional wrestling influences. Often picking up improvised weapons and enhancing them with their magic. Gifted with an insane degree of physical strength. Their magic may also be incorporated into a wide degree of feats such as creating defensive barriers, evading or blocking attacks, debuffing the opponent, or more.

Combat Weaknesses: Prone to a large degree of collateral damage in combination with especially limited mobility within urban areas. Adopting larger sizes also make them a far larger target.

Personality:
The guild member on the surface, they hold a deep genuine love for there family as well as the true friends she has managed to acquire. She can be genuinely friendly and kind if overly cheerful with a slightly immature side that rears its head from behind a restrained maturity in the form of a sly teasing wit and flirty guile, toying with those she has grown fond of as a self-assured free-spirit. When she does open up though, she can, in fact, be extremely caring and understanding, letting the masks fall and relating to the one-on-one and showing her thoughtful side. This also extends to those she comes into conflict with, sharp quips and teasing throwing them off the only for her to capitalize on it, defending her friends with everything she has available to a frightening degree when serious. Regardless she puts forward confidence and determination to whatever she sets her mind to, pushing aside the several stresses and insecurities that may exist just below the surface to do what needs to be done. She never the less still needs a release at times to maintain her sanity, indulging in her hobbies or soaking in the atmosphere of the guild. Millicent herself is still deeply affected by the events that led to her joining the guild initially, those feelings of loss and self-blame fueling much of her passion and drives, never far away as much as she has tried to bury those feelings over the years.

Backstory:
Born within the moon village at the distant end of Ishagar, she would grow up happily for the first several years of her life until a calamity would claim much of the village in the form of an unidentified force decimating many of the buildings. Shielded by her mother's magic in her final moments she would be hidden away for an unknown amount of time until the effects would wear of and she would re-emerge amongst the still ruins of her former home. Living on her own, she had to find a way to get by, living on her own and learning to survive in the wilderness she would eventually be drawn back to civilization, refining her magic over time she would begin to operate as a construction freelancer while travelling around the country.

Magic 1: Vibration Magic - The user can utilize and manipulate vibrations, rhythmic movements of himself, others, objects, environment, etc., through the ground, water, or air.

Fighting Style: Sybo's fighting style is completely improvised. It follows no particular code of honor, and so if necessary, he will attack women or animals, hit below the belt, attack his enemies even if they have their backs turned or are otherwise unprepared or unsuspecting, use enemies as human shields and even bite or pinch his opponents. While fighting, Sybo is adept at improvising, and regularly comes up with creative counterattacks to use against his enemies.

Combat Weaknesses: Limited defenses. Sybo does not have very many defense spells and so ends up taking hits head on if he doesn't dodge.

Personal Strengths: Fearless, brave, and caring.

Personal Flaws: Hotheaded, impulsive, and reckless.

Personality: Sybo is a nonchalant, typically indifferent, and humorous character. He passes the vast majority of his time lounging, wondering, sleeping, or training. He's also cool and confident. He likes to just take things as they come rather than worrying about what could happen. It is rare for Sybo to get angry or raise his voice. It's also rare for him to lose his cool under stress. With his very-laid back and easygoing personality, Sybo is considered a pretty chill person. He is prone to gnomic, sarcastic, sometimes bitter, occasionally whimsical asides. He is a smart capable guy but he typically chooses not to put forth effort. Preferring to relax or do something he finds fun. He hates boring and complex stuff. He'd much rather do something that gets him active and is simple yet interesting.

Backstory: Born 19 years ago, Sybo lost his mother upon being brought into the world. He was raised by his father for a short while before he passed away from a sickness. From that point, he was brought up by his grandfather. At age five, upon learning that Sybo had a natural aptitude for magic, his hellish training with his grandfather had begun, his training beginning with physical training in order to strengthen his body, followed by his magical training. Upon training until age 17, Sybo decided to leave his home to travel the world. Shortly upon leaving his home, Sybo happened across an unnamed mage and master of Vibration and Pressure Magic who taught him his form of magic. After having trained with the unnamed mage for two years, Sybo continued his travels. He eventually came across a Guild and it peaked his interest. Just because he thought it would be fun and he could make some friends he joined.

Diana uses the spell Star Dress whenever doing physical combat, she doesn't use it often. But mostly she's good for support by using her celestial spirits and darkness magic for defense.

Combat in general is her weakness though she can hold her own, she really has to rely on her wits when it comes to combat. Also it doesn't help that she mostly refuses to use her Darkness Magic.

Personality:
She is fairly naive and innocent, and quick to befriend people though she has had her share of bullies. Typically a nice, caring, and polite girl with little to no anger in her, though she can have a temper if the right buttons are pushed. Her passive and gentle nature often worries others, and not wanting to trouble them she often keeps things to herself or struggles to help someone else out of fear she's just burdening them.

Backstory:
Diana grew up in a wealthy high class home with a picture perfect family. At least that's you would think looking from the outside. But if you were to peek behind the curtain you would see that this nice loving family aren't what they appear far from it. Diana knew that better then anyone else. Her father was a terrible womanizer and had a terrible temper which got physical at times, her mother a drunk and her two older sibling were spoiled brats. Whenever her parents would get into shouting matches Diana would run and hide in her room trying to block out the yelling. She did whatever she could not to get anyone angry or on their bad side in fear of either getting hit, yelled at belittled or taunted. When out in public Diana had to always pretend and smile for everyone as if everything perfectly fine and normal. She'd always held and bottled up her emotions and still does these things today.

Diana mostly spent her time alone in her room or in the library hiding away with head buried deep in books. That was her only real escape from the reality she lived in one she ignored and didn't like talking about. But every so often a bit light would come into her world whenever her grandmother visited. Diana's grandmother was a mage and Diana loved learning and reading stories about the times where magic and guilds thrived. Seeing that Diana she wanted to teach her but she knew how Diana's parents felt about it so instead she decided to give her special present on Diana's 7th birthday. She surprised her with a Silver Celestial Key, The Hare. Diana grew very close the Celestial spirit him being her only real friend she had they both grew a close bond.

As time went by her grandmother finally started teaching Diana her magic that she herself was a expert in, Darkness magic. Diana spend most of her time in her own separate world alone reading, with her grandmother or her friend Peter those were the only times she could escape from her own realty but soon enough her worlds clashed when she got in altercation with her family and lost control almost killing them. That night she ran away from home ashamed of herself and scared her family force her to get her magic suppressed. From then on she lived with her grandmother and for a while things were pretty perfect that was until the day her grandmother left deciding to take on the the portal before she left she gave Diana her a Golden Key, Leo. That was the last time she saw her. Sometime has passed now and Diana has been living on her own and currently works as a librarian. Recently she heard about Guild forming and decided to join.

Magic 1: White Dragon Slayer Magic (2nd Generation)

Magic 2: Light Bending: Her ability to do this likely stems from her white dragon slayer magic although it is unclear. Lysander has become adept at bending light away from objects - herself included - resulting in them becoming invisible. After all, if no light shines on an object, it cannot be seen.

Fighting Style: As cool as she thinks it would be to be capable of fighting, Lysander avoids it like the plague because she wouldn’t know how to throw a punch. She doesn’t have practice utilizing her magic in combat situations so she has little to no experience when it comes to fighting.

Combat Weaknesses: All of them.

Personal Strengths:
  • Lysander is very good at finding something positive in any situation. She’s very much an optimist at heart.
  • Lysander is book smart.
  • She’s a very studious girl. If there’s something she doesn’t know that she needs to know, she’ll sit down and study for hours on end.
Personal Flaws:
  • When it comes to magic in particular, Lysander is very cautious. She’s read about all the destruction the guilds of old caused and it frightens her to know that she has that potential.
  • She’s afraid of the dark.
  • Terrible eyesight.
  • Lysander follows the rules to a fault.
Personality: Although she is young, Lysander is not shy in the slightest. She doesn’t shy away from grown up conversations and she also doesn’t tolerate being looked down upon for her youth. Given that she’s surprisingly well educated, many people believe her to be older than she really is by at least a few years, although she looks her age so they never guess anything too far off. Lysander can be blunt. She can be harsh. She has opinions and she doesn’t avoid sharing them. She’s also not very good at reading people so when she’s irritating someone, she often has no idea that it’s happening.

Despite some of her interpersonal awkwardness, Lysander values friendship slightly more than she values knowledge and she will hold onto those friendships with the full force of her pathetic strength and more if she can figure out how. While she won’t go against the law for her friends - yet - she will go right up to it and give it a solid push if she has to. After all, she’s a young naive dragon slayer with an awful lot left to learn in her lifetime. She’s gotta learn it somehow, and getting into trouble is one way to do it.

Backstory: Lysander was a child born through mistakes. Both of her parents were homeless and lived on what they could find through the charity of other human beings. They both thought that a child was impossible between the two of them given their ages - they were both older individuals. Nonetheless, Lysander happened and they didn’t know what to do with her. Somewhere in their path, though, they encountered an advertisement. One of Fiore’s few universities was seeking individuals upon whom they could experiment with the effects of Mundaine - the primary drug used to suppress magic in Fiore’s mages. So, what would two homeless parents do? Donate their daughter to science and get a decent sized payout from the whole ordeal.

The university was not expecting to get an infant from their advertisements, though, so they were rather at a loss in their newfound situation. Lysander was made a ward of the facility, with the headmaster acting as her primary caretaker. They watched her grow up a bit before deciding that she seemed to lack magic potential in the slightest. Wanting to be able to get some data from her, they implanted a dragon gem into her when she was three years old. Promptly after implanting it within her, they suppressed the magic it gave her with Mundaine. Their project with her was mostly to determine how much of the drug had what sorts of effects and those experiments continued as she grew up.

Little bits of magic peeked into Lysander’s life here and there and the university researchers encouraged her to experiment with it because the more things that happened, the more data that they could obtain from it. Different professors helped Lysander immerse herself into learning about magic and it’s histories. She learned about the guilds, about dragon slayers, about heroes and about the villains that the guild mages defeated. She also learned about the fall of the guilds and she read firsthand accounts from people who’s lives had been uprooted by magic becoming too destructive to control. Although the professors all encouraged her not to be afraid of her power, they did encourage her to exercise caution with her own learning and her own abilities. Lysander took it to heart and follows that advice to this day.

Their experimentation didn’t go by without leaving its marks. There was one incident when she was eight where they went a while without dosing her and her dragon slayer magic essentially exploded in blinding white light that overpowered the entire university’s power systems and had the facility dark for almost 24 hours before someone could get it back up and running. Lysander damaged her eyes by looking into the light her own body had created and she wears special glasses now to correct that injury. Alone for quite a while, it’s part of why she fears the dark now. There was also an incident where they overdosed her on Mundaine and that left quirks in her magic that she can’t control - glitches that result in things happening that she doesn’t intend. It’s quite confusing and difficult for her to understand it.

Although their experiments with her definitely haven’t been ethical, it’s the only life Lysander has ever known.

She doesn't know that she is a dragon slayer similar to the legends she’s read about. All Lysander knows is that she can use magic to manipulate light.

When she saw the advertisement that a guild was forming, she asked for permission to leave to try joining them. The headmaster had some doubts at first that it would be a good idea, but then some of the researchers mentioned that it might help them see what her full potential is and it might also allow them to observe some long term effects of Mundaine and of ceasing it entirely. They gave Lysander permission to join the guild and are watching closely to see what happens to their little lab rat.

Magic 1: Rift Magic
By snapping her fingers, Skye has the ability to create a rift in space facing the direction of her choosing within a certain radius of herself. The rift opens from a center point and can be expanded out increasing in size. The portal leads to a pocket dimension created by Skye's will that can vary in size. The portal itself can not innately pull things or people inside, instead relying upon it moving into the area. The portal itself can only be formed in the air unable to be created within solid objects while liquids like water can have portals created within them though it requires more effort to do so and tends to open more slowly.

Skye has access to a total of 8 pocket dimensions each attached to the use of a different finger in which she uses with her thumb to create a snap. The pocket dimension itself is by default a void though the color and appearance of the void can vary depending on her own personal mood influencing them. The pocket dimensions themselves are very much inhabitable with the edges of the realm able to be interacted and seen when come into contact with. While somewhat resistant to force, the walls of the dimension can be potentially ruptured allowing a whole to be forcefully torn in the last location in which the portal had been opened temporarily, with the rift itself attempting to repair itself up quickly after. Objects within the pocket dimension can be accessed and ejected according to Skye's will so long as she opens the portal first to do so giving it an extra step and lack of convenience of something such as Requip might though having the benefit of retrieving more at once and in rapid succession if the user desires and the portal is big enough to fit them.

The rifts themselves stay open so long as Skye holds her thumb out at which point if she pulls her thumb back in the portal will swiftly close. Given the limitation of her gestures, Skye can only have two rifts actively open at the same time, one on each hand. As soon as she gestures to open another rift with the same hand the other portal she opened will begin to quickly close. If an object is found lodged between the portal the portal will be kept forced open and any other portals attempted to be open will unable to be fully activated. Skye can enter her own rift and shut it. Upon opening it again within her realm the rift will open back up where it was last created, or if obstructed jolted to the nearest possible open space it can be opened. Skye can view each individual pocket dimension without opening them by touching her thumb to the finger of the dimension she wishes to view.

Magic 2: None? (Might add later or add expanded magic related to first)

Fighting Style: Skye generally tends to prefer being a defensive fighter rather then one to go on the attack.. Much of her reliance to fight might involve opening a rift in front of an opponent in order to hopefully have them run straight into it to trap them. If she needs to go on the offensive much of her effort would instead rely on trapping the opponents magic or potentially that of allies in one of her pocket dimensions in order for her to open the portal out to expel out the magic in order to attack. She can utilize her rift magic with the use of various objects in order to quickly expel them out from one of the portals to attack.

Combat Weaknesses: Skye isn't exactly a very adapt close range combatant lacking in terms of the ability to take on an opponent directly in hand to hand or using more weaponry. Unlike requip magic, retrieving objects requires the opening of the portal of which the object itself must pass through making it less convenient and her moves a bit easier to read. While her pocket dimensions are very useful for containing a foe who might stumble into it, with enough force should they get to the edge they have the ability to break there way back outside. Getting things like objects within her actual portals to use requires them to be manually moved inside limiting it to what she can carry or what others might help her put inside.

Personal Strengths:
  • Cunning: Despite her seemingly 'airheaded' nature, Skye is very witty. She is quite observant and will often come up with a solution that will yield her the best possible result.
  • Just: Skye holds a deep seeded desire to act Justly and to do what is morally right. She views it as all she can do to make things 'right' for her own 'sinful' life.
  • Imaginative: Skye is rather creative in terms of what her mind is capable of coming up with. She is quite good at visualizing things within her mind to a good amount of detail.

Personal Flaws:
  • Evasive: Skye will tend to try and avoid any personal conflict rather then address it. If she can change the topic through talks she will often instead retreat away if she is able.
  • Pessimistic: Despite her attempts to want to make things better, Skye holds a generally pessimistic view of the world and people as a whole. She tends to see more the faults in things even when attempting to focus on the good.
  • Remorseful: Skye has a deep seeded guilt about her life. She feels as if her very existence in part spurned the suffering of others.

Personality: Skye often can come off airheaded and aloof. Its not unusual for her to enter a daze seemingly being oblivious to the going around her. She will often play dumb or act oblivious particularly around those she doesn't know. Its not unusual for her to be brought into a conversation and to quickly derail it when things might make her uncomfortable to answer and become 'distracted' by other things or change the subject. She will often come up smiling with a tinge of being upbeat. She has a desire to do what is right even showing enthusiasm towards it should it come up. She has a seeming desire to be friendly with everyone she meets.

In truth Skye is a rather cunning individual. Her ditzy nature being more just an subconscious act on her part. She can be rather pessimistic often viewing peoples flaws in overly amplified way despite trying to be more positive. It can lead her to be a bit distrustful not quite able to fully open up with anyone. She has a rather negative view of herself, feeling herself guilty of causing harm to many people in her life due in part to her parents and her upbringing feeling as if she needs to redeem herself.

Backstory:
Skye had grown up a rather wealthy girl. Since the day she was born she was pampered with plenty of niceties with a golden spoon in her hand. Her father always willing to spoil her if she ever wanted something. Even if it might be something that seemed unobtainable, so long as it was reasonable enough he would always give it to her as a gift. Her mother on the other hand was for the most part absent much of her time being around her caretakers. She didn't spend much time with other kids her father preferring to keep her more hidden away. To her having known nothing different it was just how things were. In truth it was the way her father viewed her being the safest.

After all, when you were the leader of a secretive Dark Mage Guild you were far best keeping any risk of yourself being exposed away from the public eye.

As Skye got a bit older she became a bit more curious of her fathers business and that of the whereabouts of her mother. Her father and her caretakers were a bit more dodgy about her mother never saying more beyond her 'going on a long vacation'. As she became old enough her father decided to teach her Rift Magic, saying it was 'a secret between the two of them'. Having a great deal of love for her father she agreed keeping it a secret from everyone including her caretakers. For her she was happy to have more time spent with her father and to have something to share between the two of them. For her father it was his little test to make sure she knew how to keep secrets telling her caretakers to tell him if she told them about their little secret.

Getting into her early teens and being clever as she was it didn't take much time for Skye to start becoming much more aware of the goings on with her father. She would often trick her caretakers sneaking her way out to places she was told to not to wander. It was through many of these little outings she caught onto more and more of her fathers criminal work. While she might of outsmarted his father's underlings it didn't take long for her father himself to catch onto what Skye was doing. He took the then a few weeks short of fifteen year old Skye telling her the truth of his business... or at the very least a much more clinical and detail stricken account omitting many details. It had left Skye rather taken back at first, though for her she loved her dad and in her mind she rationalized it away as all but petty crime. Just acts to get by in a world that hated mages and suppressed them. He didn't do anything 'evil' right... moral relativism and all right?

It was something that stewed in her mind as she got older. As silver-tongued as her father was, Skye wasn't an idiot in part a trait she inherited from him. She resisted the urge to dig in deeper wanting to believe him having such a strong love for her father. He had taught her to be good not wanting her to follow in his footsteps yet it was that same teachings that also put what he was doing into conflict. Sure enough it was only a matter of time before she couldn't hold back. She managed to sneak out getting into her fathers office locked away managing to get her way inside seeing much of the truth of what he was doing. Sure, there were things she felt she could ignore and rationalize. Stealing? Its... not ideal but he stole from those who had plenty. Experimentation? It... it was questionable... but many of those participating were... willing right? Murders. Murders... it had to be bad people too right? I mean... taking a life wasn't right... but they had to be forced right? Kidnapping...

There came to a point that despite Skye's desperate attempts to rationalize it away that she couldn't. The things her father did were beyond any sort of moral relativism. There were things that could only be looked upon as evil. Despite it, Skye was left tormented. As bad as it was... as horrible as the stuff seemed she still loved him. It made her feel disgusted not in her father but more then anything herself. It was made that much worst when stuck tormenting over it all her Father ventured in finding out all his secrets were left exposed. He could only admit it and tell her about her mother, long since captured and locked away being considered mentally too unstable and her magic suppressed.

Skye had moved out from her father given some money to get a place of her own. Despite his desire to keep things secret he had no desire to keep his daughter locked away. Despite feeling as if she should tell someone, Skye could never bring herself to do so keeping the secret about her father. It was a sense of guilt that dug at her though she did her best to blend in. Being out in the world she would try and do some good, as little as she really thought was possible. Fortunately (or perhaps unfortunately depending on how you look at it) there seemed to be something of which that magic she kept secret could be put to good use for to help redeem herself.

Fighting Style: Shane has been in his fair share of scuffles, and with the stature he inherited through genetics, he could hold his own in a fistfight. He has even participated in a few amateur shootfighting matches. In that realm, he’s a strong submission fighter. However, those sorts of techniques weren’t that useful in a magical fight. In those situations, he’s more of a distance fighter, primarily utilizing his guns with magical bullets. He has also trained a bit in Energy Make magic, as it was sort of a trademark of his family. He still has a lot to learn in that regard, though.

Combat Weaknesses: When Shane has to use his magic, it’s usually not very subtle. Nor does it have a lot of defensive characteristics. With his magic, Shane’s focus has to be on tactics and keeping his distance. When it comes to close combat magic, Shane doesn’t have much up his sleeve.

Personal Strengths: Shane is generally level-headed, intelligent, and driven, competitive, and he has a good heart.

Personal Flaws: Shane can be a bit self-centered at times when he’s trying to attain or achieve something, he sometimes has trouble with authority, he also can get tunnel vision when he thinks he’s doing the right thing, he’s a free spirit.

Personality: In general, Shane has a fairly calm, stoic, and quiet demeanor. However, when it comes to something he’s passionate about, such as doing something right, he can get very vocal and assertive. Respect is very important to him. He treats people with respect until they give him a reason not to, then anything goes. If you’re a good person, though, he’s usually pretty easy to get along with, although he can be competitive.

Backstory: Shane was born to the Strom family. This particular family was well known as there had been a number of famous magicians that had been among them. Thus, at a young age, Shane and his brother were taught the importance of magic despite the political climate of the time. Because of this and other reasons, his family was fairly well off. On top of that, Shane didn’t have to experience a really major trauma growing up. Blessed or lucky, it didn’t matter. This led to another lesson for the young mage.

He learned very quickly that he had opportunities and comforts that weren't afforded to everyone. On top of that, it became quickly apparent that there were many people ready and willing to take everything away from him if they got the chance. As such, he developed an odd sort of guarded empathy for those less fortunate than him. He gave when he could and genuinely tried to be a good part of society, but he also worked hard to protect his own interests. He was no slouch. Unfortunately, his older brother didn’t have the same attitude about things and disappeared one day on his own journey, reappearing only on rare occasions when he needed something.

One of the things Shane got involved in that benefited himself and those around him was the trafficking of magical items. Due to the political climate, it had become harder to obtain magical items, thus this was a perfect service for him to provide. He became a sort of scrounger, but that inevitably led him to some run-ins with the law, as some of the methods he used to acquire things for his clients weren’t always the most legal. He’d spent a bit of time in jail, but not much, and he was generally respected by those who knew him.

Due to this venture requiring him to travel a lot, he often came across criminal activity or people who needed help, so he also started to delve into justice, rescue, and relief when he was able. Despite generally doing a good job with those, the government had some trouble with that as well. Especially the part that involved taking justice into his own hands. He never killed anyone, but criminals were sometimes turned in worse for wear.

Overall, he was starting to build a bad rap on official papers, but he was also developing a positive rapport with the regular people he helped. Thus, it was only natural that he was one of the early mages that took on the strange evil that started taking on the land. Once the government okayed the sanctioning of one organized guild, he jumped on the chance. After all, despite not being on the best terms with the law, he wasn’t trying to be the bad guy. He certainly preferred doing things legally if possible.

    Dragon Slayer motion sickness makes fighting on a moving vehicle difficult.

    Personality:
    First impressions aren't too kind to Jane. She looks intimidating and can scare children with one of her intense looks. On top of that, she tends to sound angry when she talks, even if she’s not. She can also come across as being a bit rude (sometimes she is) calling people “kid," ”lady,” “doc,” “pops,” “old man,” “grandma,” or “gramps.” She's very vocal about her opinions about magic and wanting more guilds, which could make her seem like a rebel. While it's true that she's brash, headstrong, and tends to use her fists to solve problems, she actually has a heart of gold. She cares for the wellbeing of others and is intensely loyal. Once you get to know her, she's someone you'd want in your corner to help shoulder the burdens of life.

    Although she wants to protect others, she's terrible with children. Crying of any kind gets on her nerves. She's more paternal around kids, keeping herself emotionally distant, but checks in to see if they are OK. She tends to leave childcare to her Exceed companion, Tora.

    Jane is not a girly girl by any definition. She gets embarrassed when trying to talk about "girly" things. Whether it's makeup, clothes, or the hottest young men, she has no clue how to navigate those kinds of conversations. She likes being one of the guys. Drinking (root beer or a sarsaparilla), playing darts, arm wrestling, etc. Uninterested in romance, she doesn't like to be flirted with. The more straight forward the flirtation attempt is, the brasher she is about it. Lowkey flirting tends to go over her head.


    Backstory:
    Jane was raised in an orphanage for wizard children. She doesn't know anything about her birth parents. She assumes that they were wizards, or at least had the ability to utilize magic. She was born with the magic ability to harden her skin. She knows her name is Jane, but her last name was given to her by a clever staff member (Axton means sword stone.) She was placed under the care of Tora, an Exceed that used transformation magic to take on a human-like appearance.

    Growing up, she wrestled with the thought of being unwanted. "Aw, Sweetie. Someone out there would love to have you as a daughter, you'll see. You just have to be patient," Tora once said to reassure her.

    Jane tended to stay to herself. Most of the younger orphans thought she was scary. The older ones had their own cliques. The closest thing she had to a friend was Tora, but sometimes even she was busy; especially when she put too much extra work on her plate. Although she wasn't exactly "friends" with the other kids, she would stick up for them; often roughing up bullies and getting herself a lecture.

    One day a man of authority arrived, delivering an Iron Dragon Slayer Lacrima. Jane didn't know it at the time, but there was a meeting between the members of upper management and the most trusted staff members (like Tora). They were tasked with implanting the Lacrima in one of the orphans. The question was which one?

    Jane was approached and asked if she wanted to go through with it. It was an easy answer. "Hell, ya!"

    Jane was asleep during the operation; when she woke up, she discovered that her magic had been upgraded. "Gihihi," she laughed like Gajeel.

    She was trained how to control her new magic, but it was nothing like being trained by a dragon. When she turned 18, Jane was given the freedom to leave the orphanage and start her wizard career. "Can Tora come with me?" Jane asked. "Gajeel had an Exceed...it would just feel right, ya know?" She tried to hide a blush. Deep down she thought of her as a mother figure, but didn't want to admit it publicly.

    "If that's what you want. I'll be happy to go."

    Personally Jane wished a guild had existed when she had started out, but better late than never. Hopefully it will be a new start, bringing about a new age of guilds.

Guy can take over the appearance and power of Titans that he knows well. This magic is considered too big to be left alone so he's required to administer a good dose of mundaine to make it into a managable level.

A magic that he learned from someone during his imprisonment. Guy can control the etherano flowing within to strengthen his body. Allowing him to exert the level of strength that would be impossible to achieve by his body alone.

Fighting Style: Guy mostly utilize his martial magic in combat, making people wonders whether he is truly a mage or just a very good fighter. His take over magic is massive in size and once he used it he throws his martial techniques away in exchange for sheer destructive power.

Combat Weaknesses: His take over magic is massive, even with his control and mundaine's partial suppression so it's risky to use in limited spaces. His regular combative style is very limited when it comes to ranged attack option.

Personal Strengths: Guy have tasted defeat and punishment. He's somewhat wise and is good at coping with his emotion.

Personal Flaws: Guy is rather cocky and bossy, it's his way to assert himself but he's not the best at conveying his emotion.

Personality: Guy is a confident guy that can be such a worrywart for the people he cared. He used to be a hotheaded person but the current one could take insults and shrug it off effortlessly.

Backstory: Guy used to be in an orphan and helped people doing whatever they need help with for pocket money. He got into fights a lot however, and gathered reputation as problematic kid. When he was 17 he decided to follow a mercenary group to carve his own path. He discovered his magic when in one of their job he was swallowed by a titan. Refusing to die there, Guy survived for several days inside the titan body while looking for a way out but he ended up accidentally tranforming and ripped the titan's body from the inside.

He was happy with his newly found magic and use it to help his group solve problems, until in one of their job his group was secretly used as disposable decoy to ensure a the victory of their client. His group was killed, but Guy survived the ordeal, and he was mad about it so he stomped the client into a smear of flesh as vengeance. Making him a criminal and was sentenced to death, at least it should be because the one he just killed was a noble.

Turns out the rival of the person he killed was happy with the outcome of their little war and pulled some strings to drastically reduce Guy's punishment. It was a miracle that he ended up with only 5 years of punishment. After he got out of prison he was looking for work when he stumbled upon the guild announcement.

Appearance: Nyx is a very petite young woman with pale skin, chin length stark white hair, and wide dark grey eyes, she's a very short teenager who seems to sport a perpetual glare.

She prefers easy to move in clothes, and doesn't particularly care for fashion or the like, only what keeps her out of sight, in focus, and won't limit her movement when she needs to get the hell out of dodge.

Beyond that, she has a series of lash like scars over her entire left arm, upper-to-mid shoulder, and hand, she typically covers this with a jacket of some kind as to deviate invasive questions.

Magic 1: Doll Make Magic, Nyx's Magic allows her to construct and command Dolls made, and shaped by, out of her Mana. They act on her knowledge and emotions, however due to this, they can often act on her subconscious wants and cause problems of varying severity.

Magic 2: Simple Marionette Magic, due to not always having the time, or resources, to create wooden dolls by hand, Nyx picked up Marionette Magic for when she needs something simple to cover an escape. A mud monster, usually, is a reasonable distraction.

Fighting Style: Nyx typically fights beside her Dolls with a pair of long daggers, and relies on hitting fast and hard herself, she will also typically refrain from sharing information about her magic as to keep her enemies from guessing she is the one who created them, however due to her lack of stamina, and physical frailness, it's almost a guarantee that she'll have to flee at some point, and simply command her Dolls from afar.

Her Dolls themselves are much hearty and long lasting then her in a fight, but lack movement and raw power, and the more dolls she creates, the less raw power they all have as a whole.

Combat Weaknesses:

Her own fighting style relies on raw power and agility, she lacks immense stamina, and she cannot typically take a hit, and at best, if pushed to her limits, she could last an hour maximum while simply running from an enemy.

Mentally, Nyx is actually incredibly emotionally impulsive, she acts on her emotions without a second thought, and her Dolls follow suit, causing problems with more stealth based operations, and general personal ones with potential teammates.

Personal Strengths:

Nyx views her cooking ability as a very good strength in day to day interactions, it's kept her afloat between jobs more than she cares to admit, and there was that one time Terrance Lê and his partner Yvette Constance viewed a three course meal from her as liable compensation for a rather botched Unison Raid.

Nyx, despite what she might want you to believe, is incredibly good with people, she understands their motivations and frustrations, she's good at reading their thoughts, and is... Genuinely amiable in most situations, if distant.

Personal Flaws:

As stated before, Nyx, despite her rather calm exterior, is emotionally impulsive and is has little personal control when it comes to anger, and will act on her feelings with little preamble. This has caused far more problems than it has solved.

Nyx doesn't view others as... Worthwhile. She understands them, she relates to them, she'd probably make a killing as a child therapist, but in the end, she views other human beings as... Anything but worthwhile. Humanity is a joke and a half, she looks at their achievements and sees supposed achievements, and half a billion flaws... She was a very lonely little girl, to say the least

Personality: Nyx Anders is what you might call a misanthropic asshole, she's not overly fond of people, and much prefers the company of animals, and only those she considers her siblings back in Felicia, at that, and if it weren't for the fact that she has a near innate want to explore, and the lack of an ability to create money from thin air, she would likely just be a wondering mage with above average ability, and a startling lack of talent, beyond this though, her general attitude is relatively amiable if only for the fact that she likes NOT getting punched in the face. She's distant from most people, and would rather keep it that way, however she does have a few people she holds high respect for.

Backstory: Nyx Anders was born to... Someone, likely, she highly doubts she just appeared out of thin air one day, but nonetheless, Nyx Anders was born in Felicia, Fiore, and promptly left on the doorstep of the nearest, dingiest, orphanage one could possibly find.

Despite that Nyx grew up rather happy, she had always had siblings, younger and older, to depend on, and the few matrons that looked after them, while incredibly lacking in terms of child rearing abilities, were relatively, and took care of her and everyone else.

However, once she reached eight years of age, orphaned children started disappearing from Felicia, and promptly found days later torn apart. And, as a child, Nyx was scared, terrified of going outside, worried for her younger and older siblings that she was so fond of.

The government did what they could for a very short amount of time, then, rather abruptly, decided that if it was just random orphans going missing, and with no parents causing an outcry, or older orphans too caught up in making a living, and matrons to busy providing, than there was really no point in continuing an investigation that was, technically, not a problem.

So, in a desperate attempt, Nyx sought out mages in and around Felicia.

Which, when you're eight years old, and look like a stiff breeze could knock you over, is incredibly hard. In turn, after every refusal, after every man or woman who laughed in her face, Nyx began growing a resentment for anyone and everyone around her.

Of course, it was only once the killer had had his fill, or moved on, did the murders stop, but by that time Nyx hated the system, and was down three siblings by that point.

Later on, around thirteen years of age, she began researching Maker based Magic, and had to start traveling further and further from the city of Felicia until she decided that it was best too just officially start traveling on her own.

So, she took off, took odd jobs to provide for herself, helped others in the most put-upon manner, sent money back to orphanage when she could, explored when she could, and eventually got caught up in a plan to kill three S-Class Mages of varying strength when she was sixteen... Which ended horribly, (it was supposed to be a hefty paycheck by way of Terrance! She bailed when the woman of the S-Class trio expressed an interest in her magic and age).

Nowadays, she just... Kind of wonders. Avoids the military like the Plague, and has only resurfaced due to a favor she owes a man named Lucien Morgenstern, as a replacement in a movement to bring back guilds and destroy the monsters that have been plaguing Fiore for over three years now.

...honestly, she thinks it's a ploy because of her magic.

Doll Make Magic: Clay Marionette - Nyx's Magic constructs a Doll made of varying earthen properties that act as her heavy hitters. This is easiest spell she knows, she can create five at a time on a good day, but cannot construct more than that, or any other for that matter.
Doll Make Magic: Water Marionette - Nyx's Magic constructs a Doll made of water that act as her most 'agile' they're... Bendy. She can make four on a good day, but cannot construct more than that or any other doll.
Doll Make Magic: Aire Marionette - Nyx's Magic constructs a Doll made of Air that, among her entire Arsenal of dolls, is her fastest. She can make three on a good day, but cannot construct more than that or any other doll.
Doll Make Magic: Channel Marionette - Nyx's Magic constructs a Doll made of wood that can channel the magic of another Mage but needs a Mage of the specific magic type to imbue their own Magic into it. She can make two on a good day, but cannot construct more than that or any other doll.
Doll Make Magic: Cursed Doll - Nyx's Magic constructs a Doll made of wood that, once destroyed, inflict a curse on the party. She can one on a good day, but cannot construct more than that or any other doll. She requires substantial preptime for the curse that will be put on it though, likely a week.
Doll Make Magic: Golem - Nyx creates an an extremely large Golem of varying materials, she can only make two a day, and not at the same time without completely draining herself. She needs an hour of time for construction.
Doll Make Magic: Doppelganger - Nyx takes a piece of skin, or blood, from her own body, or another's, and creates a copy of them without their magic, this is meant to serve as a distraction. She can make five on a good day, but no more, and must have at least two hours for each Doppelganger she makes.

Super Moves:

Doll Make Magic: Doll Army - Nyx raised dozens upon dozens of dolls with everything she can with varying property to act as her own personal army of sorts. She sacrifices all of her magical at once for this. She typically makes them out of Earth.
Doll Magic: Human Voodoo - Human Voodoo allows Nyx to use other people, civilian, mage, or otherwise, as living dolls.
Doll Magic: Bloody Marionette - Unlike Human Voodoo, Bloody Marionette is meant to inflict pain, and nothing else. It takes a lot from her though, both physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Unison Raid: Army Of Mages - By combining her Magic with another Mage, Nyx creates dozens of dolls able to use her partners Magic. She has used this exactly TWICE, and both times ended in disaster. She also, rather reasonably, DOESN'T WANT THE GOVERNMENT TO FIND OUT ABOUT THOSE TWO TIMES.

Mindy is incredibly hyperactive, bubbly, goofy and curious, which tends to get her into troublesome situations sometimes. Due to her usual positive nature, she tends to hide her more sensitive side, and tries hard to not cry when she is frustrated, as she feels it would drag down others' morale if they were to see her sad. She loves and treasures the friendships she makes. She also has quite the sweet tooth.

Backstory:
Mindy was raised in humble surroundings. Her and her parents didn't have much but they were happy for a bit. But unfortunately tragedy hit there home when her mother got sick and died. It hit her father hard but he always managed to smile whenever Mindy was around. Sometime went by and Mindy was showing signs of magic potential and her father wasn't sure what to do. Luckily there happened to be a mage who moved by recently and he mentored her whenever he wasn't on a job. When Mindy turned 13 she got her first job at bakery wanting to help father. Mindy still works there today and recently unfortunately her father has accident while working and broke his leg so Mindy has been working extra hard.

Mindy has heard about this new guild that's starting and is very excited to check it out.

Magic 1: Runic Magic - Cedar can write down magical spells, symbols, and arrays and activate them to create the desired effect. The activation of such spells can be delayed, accessed from a distance, or activated under specific conditions.

Magic 2: Item Enchantment - A variation on the magic above, Cedar can infuse objects with magic through inscriptions, allowing them to enhance their properties and efficiency. The amount of enchantments that can be made to an object depends solely on the durability of the object itself, and going beyond their limit leads to them breaking.

Fighting Style: Cedar is an extremely support-based fighter though they are more than willing to pummel a man if it gets to that point. Capable of a wide-range of spells but a master of none, they work best by aiding others with their shortcomings. Laying down traps and the like is where they truly shine on the battlefield.

Combat Weaknesses: Cedar is severely limited by the number of spells that they have on their person. Though they can create spells on the fly, if they have no mediums or writing tools, they'll be forced to rely on their physical prowess and what basic knowledge of CQC they have.

Suffering from a severe case of social anxiety, it's only when Cedar puts on their iconic bear helmet that they're able to properly interact with others. Bright, playful and cheery, though not without the occasional bouts of anxiety and odd habits, Cedar is surprisingly charismatic and enjoys spending time with friends and family alike.

Backstory:
Born as the only child of a mage of some renown, Cedar lived their early life in social isolation. Alienated by their peers at a young age, they spent their days clinging to their mother's side, watching and learning from her as she worked.

While Cedar and their mother had a great relationship with each other, it was far too soon when their mother, Serena Cliffe, died under suspicious circumstances. Their relatives, who had an eye on Serena's legacy, blamed the young mage for her death based on a forged "suicide note," hoping to keep her inheritance for themselves.

The combination of the suspicious timing of their mother's "suicide" being after a family quarrel between the two, and the derogatory content of the forged suicide note, drove Cedar to shut down completely. Following Serena's death, custody of her child was passed to several of her uncaring relatives, including her uncle, Michael Cliffe, who refused to even treat them as a person, not even allowing them to bathe or have a proper bed.

Eventually, Serena's close friend, Calvin Winters had adopted Cedar, paying their uncle the better part of Cedar's inheritance to leave them alone. During their isolation, Cedar did their best to master their craft, working tirelessly to make sure that their mother's legacy continued through them. As time passed, gradually, they began to move on.

    Personality
    Despite his initial distant demeanor, Arlen is mostly an outgoing person even if he isn't the most bubbly person in town. A perfect mix of introverted and extroverted, Arlen likes crowds, but doesn't hate the thought of being in a quiet library either. In most conversations, Arlen never reserves his words. He opts to blurt out anything that comes to mind. Perhaps due to his overflowing creativity, Arlen is what you call a scaredy-cat. He fears ghosts, ghouls, zombies, zombie ghosts, zombie ghouls, ghoul ghosts, you get the gist. Even though he is not a person with much valor, Arlen upholds loyalty as one of his biggest virtues. He never lets good deeds done to him get left unpaid.

Magic 2: Smoke Magic - A magic that allows the user to create and manipulate smoke in various forms, from attacks, various geometric shapes, to even creating copies made solely from smoke. This magic can be enhanced by using smoking utensils to create the smoke in greater quantity in comparison to directly creating it.

Fighting Style: Tye fights in a style that could be summed up into the phrases "I always have a plan" and "smoke and mirrors". He prefers to dance around between close and mid-range, utilizing hit and run tactics with smoke illusions and the variety of effects that come from his cards. For him, fighting ultimately comes down to either whittling down an opponent into submission, or an elaborate set-up for an immense, singular coup-de-grace.

Combat Weaknesses: Even though Tye fights in close and mid-range, his durability is only slightly above average through training. He has no real defensive measures, and if he faces anyone that is faster than him, his main method of dealing with damage, dodging, is rendered useless. As well, if he faces anyone capable of dealing with his tall tactics, or has area-of-effect capabilities, his combat potential is diminished significantly.

  • Uncaring of most others, finicky loyalty when not on retainer

Personality: Tye tends to come off as an aloof, if not friendly, individual with a penchant for tricks, entertainment, and slight of hand. Beneath this friendly visage, Tye is more apathetic than he gives off. He cares very little for others beyond those that can further himself, and prefers to spend his time alone, somewhere between brooding and contemplating plans for the future. That isn't to say he doesn't have people he cares for, however those that can worm their way into his heart are few and far in-between, but those that do tend to have a fiercely protective guardian and benefactor. He has his pride and dignity, both in his skills as a magician and his prowess as a mage, but not too much that he isn't willing to sell them away for the right price.

Backstory: Tye, like many others across the lands, was raised in a poor family, with little disposable income and a desperate struggle to survive the day to day ongoings of the world. To take his mind away from this, and potentially get more income for his family, he took to doing small street performances, ranging from slight-of-hand magic tricks to tarot readings. It wasn't much in the beginning, hardly netting a profit from those few willing enough to part with a small amount of money, but as Tye's skills grew, so was the attention and money coming his way. And as the attention grew, so did the need for him to improve his skills and add to his repertoire of tricks. First, he simply tried all he could to improve his physical skills, and when it seemed that he had reached the limit with what he could do mundanely, Tye tried to branch out into magic, and to his surprise, succeeded spectacularly.

Utilizing a combination of his magic cards and his smoke magic, the eyes on him grew exponentially. His venues expanded from the streets, to bars, restaurants, and private parties, to full on concert halls with hundreds of eyes on him. It put an untold pressure on him that he had never expected when he had started this as a child, but Tye, in his heart, loved every second of it. It was through all this attention and notice of his improving skills that Tye got his first backstage offer to do something other than entertain. He was hesitant at first to commit to such a thing, knowing already that if he accepted once, he would continue to do so for an untold amount of time. In the end, the promise of money and increased fame, even of the underground time, was too much for him to ignore.

This pattern continued for years, his fame and prowess growing steadily, as well as the underground "acts" that he would perform for the highest bidders. However, when he got the call to action for Horace's newfound guild to face the newly emerged dark magic, Tye was skeptical at worse, but understood intellectually that this was a promising development, not only in a monetarily, but also in his reputation and the connections he was bound to make. And so, with that thought in mind, he threw his hat into the ring.
