Age: 26
Gender: Male
Country of Origin: South Korea
About/Bio: What does receiving a PhD in Latin, achieving Andaros Online player rank #16, and teaching at a hangwon all have in common? They all required Sung-Gyu's complete attention-- at different phases of his life. When Andaros Online first came out, he was an exhausted graduate student living abroad without many hobbies to speak of, and only Latin professors for friends. Embracing his love for gaming once more was just what the doctor ordered, and he took the opportunity to connect with his friends back home and make new ones. As it turned out, the young man did not worry about putting in hours and hours of work into something other than his thesis project, and eventually reached the global leaderboards for his specialist hypercarry builds. After heading back home for his compulsory military service, Sung-Gyu had less time to play, especially after starting work as a teacher, so he was out of the spotlight for quite sometime... until his old guildmate ZenRikka contacted him and asked him to join the fight with the Worldenders, showing players both old and new that Andaros Online was here to stay. Though he was a little bit rusty, Sic dusted off his VR headset and once again set off to perfect his build.

Andaros Information
Player Name
: Sic_Semper_Slimes
Player Level: 1
Class:
  • Predator: Beware that, when fighting monsters. one does not become a monster themselves. Wielding all variety of melee and ranged non-magical weapons, Predators must remain light on their feet and know the world of Andaros like the back of their hand for the glories of the hunt. Those who have embarked on the path of the Predator immediately gain access to a class-specific skill known as [Prey-in-Pursuit]. This skill will fuction with any subsequent classes, but only Predators will gain the following effects from their Target Prey: upon defeating an opponent of the Prey's type, immediately gain the resistances and weaknesses of that target. These attributes are stacked alongside any equipment or skill-based attributes. When landing the killing blow of an opponent of the Prey's type, Predators can craft using the dropped materials regardless of Class and Skill restrictions. When defeating an opponent of the Prey's type, friendly tamed mobs of the same Type gain a stacking damage bonus.
  • Usable Equipment Tags: [Light Armor], [Trap], [One-Handed Melee], [Two-Handed Melee], [One-Handed Ranged], [Two-Handed Ranged]
  • Ascends from: Rogue -> Hunter -> Beast Tamer

Avatar Description:

Sic's in-game avatar is about 5 feet and eight inches tall, with messy blue hair and a fair complexion. Though his armor and overall theming has cycled over the years from dragon-lord, to shadow-archer to his current state as the ocean's predator. After gaining the Merfolk racial morph, his avatar also appears healthier and warmer when around water, and pale and sickly when dry.
In-Game History:

While many people played Andaros Online to be the best like no one ever was, Sic just wanted a mindless hack and slash experience he could share with friends. With everyone else investing in their equipment and skills, he was happy to help with farming mobs and whatever drops they needed, perhaps taming a weak monster or two to breed or help out. The Predator class was hardly revolutionary, but since Sic's primary motivation for playing was the PvE combat anyways, he figured that a class encouraging the mindless grind would be a good fit for him.

It was, and after a server-wide event where he was able to oneshot an "Elder Demon: Resurrected Asmodeus" raid boss after grinding stacks against Demon-type creatures for a few weeks straight, he was contacted by the Silent Knights, led by top player ZenRikka. While he had little to contribute to the PvP aspects of their guild, Sic found that trading mob drops with his guild for crafting services and general intel and assistance was a done deal, and he played happily with them for about a year, until he took a seven-month hiatus to focus on work. In that time, Andaros was purchased, Stages were rennovated, and most of his friends left to greener pastures, or returned with their pay-to-win tails between their legs. Regardless, he promised his friends he'd see the Worldenders through the end of their quest.

Even though he became a staple member of the Silent Knights, most long-time players are likely to have some sort of connection or previous contact with Sic, since his hypercarry mob-focused build often allowed him to clear endgame content in minutes where it would take others hours. He would often post on the guild hall and even open forums what his current Prey target was so if anyone had specific drops they were farming from rare or powerful mobs, they were free to contact him. Near the end of the good ol' days of Andaros, Sic would often create player-led "Unofficial Server Events" for anyone to participate in, since he was capable of gathering some of the hardest loot in the game himself.

It turned out that having a build focused purely on farming and grinding did have its perks after all.

Current Skills:
  • [Guiding Blow] - [Lvl. 1] When striking an opponent, all subsequent hits on that opponent will benefit from the offensive bouses of the previous attacker. This can apply to the user's own attacks, their allies, and other sources.

Stacks are reduced by 5 for each non-Prey target the user kills, and stacks are reduced to 0 upon death. About/Bio:
When it comes to internet anonymity, details on Executorial, renowned for their technical prowess in the player-versus-player aspects of Andaros, are markedly scarce. They seldom speak of their real-world life and prefer to state that it has no particular bearing on them. The truth is that they simply believe that the reality is mundane to the point of being disappointing - and that the air of mystery helps their reputation, and henceforth adds to the pressure that they can put opponents under. In the real world, they're merely a college student, studying for their tech degree at a local community college.

That's... Really all there is to it, and they're often disappointed that they don't have anything more exciting than Andaros itself to be talking about. Not that they'd rather have a more exciting life, since that usually means a lot more trouble, and a lot less time for gaming.

Andaros Information

Player Name: Executorial

Player Level: 1 (for now)

Class:

[Arcanum Deadeye]
: It is said that those who push beyond the zenith of mastery will find themselves in harmony with the world, and in tune with the elements that build it. For those who make this trek, they shall find themselves imbued and changed. Not for the faint-hearted, this combination of mage and sharpshooter features makes for a particularly devastating match against even the toughest of opponents. These sharpshooters, the final form of the basic Marksman, retain their firearm proficiencies and movement capabilities whilst gaining attack-imbued effects that would ordinarily belong to spellcasters of the ritualist type, who specialize in inflicting debuffs and crippling opponents.
  • Ascends from: ([Marksman] - [Sniper] - [Freeshooter] with [Elemental Savant] proficiency)
  • Usable equipment tags: [Firearm (Light)] [Firearm (Heavy)] [Artillery] [Elemental] [Cloth Armor] [Light Armor] [Medium Armor] [Light Melee] [Concealed Melee]

A particular specialty of this class combination is the ability to build up status effects with incredible speed, owing to the fast rate of fire or ridiculous critical damage that defines high-level firearms. Hence, the debuffs they inflict can cascade into their most severe form at an accelerated pace. While mostly middling in stats on their lonesome, this class reaches the fullest extent of its truly ludicrous damage and DoT potential with the aid of others. Considered to be rather technical with a high skill-ceiling, as they have little to no ability to sustain themselves beyond consumables.
Each elemental damage type has an associated status effect, which has both a normal and a severe/amplified form with greater effects. Certain debuffs may also have unique synergies.
  • Fire: Burning (Damage over time) / Flare (Higher damage than burning, actions cause additional damage)
    • + Water: Vaporize (Removes both statuses and deals a massive burst of damage)
    • + Air: Wildfire (Spreads burning status to all foes)
  • Water: Riptide (Forced movement) / Whirlpool (Take damage over time, more difficult to escape)
    • + Air: Tempest (Throws enemies around)
  • Ice: Slow (Reduced movement speed/jump height) / Frozen (Movement speed reduced to 0)
    • + Fire: Thaw (Removes cold status, inflict Flare instead of Burning)
  • Earth: Fragility (Reduced physical defense) / Petrified (Attack/cast speed cut in half)
    • + Ice: Glacier (Reduces magic defense)
  • Air: Disorient (Accuracy reduced) / Ravaged (Controls are jumbled)
Avatar Description:

(Ice form on the left, fire form on the right)

Executorial's avatar is quite peculiar. For one, their racial choice was the Elemental, strange and magical beings constructed entirely from magic, which become wholly sapient as they gain power and knowledge. Hence, they do not have any human features to speak of, save for a bipedal form with strangely thin limbs and luminous slits for eyes. They emanate a strong elemental presence (based in the primal force that makes them up), making them strongly detectable to magic - this has the trade-off of granting some inherent immunities to certain types of damage, depending on the elemental.
  • As an elemental's form is defined by the element they embody, this has caused a strange interaction with one of their skills (Origination Divergence) which allows them to alternate elemental affinities, a change that is inflected in the avatar. One is dark like soot, bearing a coat with sunset hues within, whereas the other is reminiscent of the sky on a snowy day.
    • Elementals are known to have... Unnatural ranges of motion and strange quirks, owing to their nature as essentially conscious amalgamations of energy and magic. However, they are often debilitated greatly if they come into contact with an opposing element.

In-Game History:

Starting from essentially nothing, the rise of Executorial was quick and unprecedented - they were, for the most part, a player who'd come out of nowhere and risen to greatness. In truth, they'd played the game since its inception - most of it was spent experimenting with the dynamic skill system and refining their technique - before beginning to delve into the domain of PvP, and quickly found that it brought them a thrill like nothing else.

So up they went. For a very long time, they remained a solo player in their own guild, rising up the leaderboard to eventually claim #8 on the charts, just a few places behind the founder of the Worldenders. Even before joining the Worldenders, Executorial was a mysterious player who'd earned something of a following, despite not being a content creator of any kind - builds and character setups similar to the genre of theirs; utilizing heavy debuffs, ranged firearms, or other extremely technical points, had even gained the community nickname of 'Exec-Likes'.

While not a particularly shy player, it would seem as if they were not the greatest at making friends; though they rarely turned down a duel invite - regardless of the stakes. For them, the thrill of competition was far more important than the notion of punishing the other party. However, they were known for occasionally acting as a bit of a vigilante in the mid-to-high level areas, sniping those who camped other players. Additionally, in-game auctions for rare items also seemed to fascinate this devoted PvPer, who loved participating and bidding, even if they often didn't have the raw resources to get much of what they liked. Their performance at world bosses usually left a bit to be desired, in comparison to their duels.

Though they might not always be found online, Executorial's presence in Andaros-related forums is remarkable. In fact, they often appear in discussions pertaining to important game or PvP balance, and have authored several guides on how to improve one's PvP ability. While extremely technical and difficult for the average player to understand, those guides are considered mandatory reading for any who wants to compete at the endgame level in Andaros. Strangely enough, they are not class-specific, and even those who have nothing in common with the author's own build can glean useful information from them... If they manage to translate it into something tangible, anyways.

When Andaros was bought out, the landscape ruined and the balance in shambles, Executorial was rightfully angered - and quickly joined the Worldenders upon being invited by another player. They were increasingly sick of facing opponents who clearly had no real modicum of skill but only an excess of cash, and strove to change that through what they did best - winning a lot of matches. However, even the best player can only do so much, and when the Worldenders came crashing down, so too did they fall.

But they didn't lose any of their abilities or knowledge, and as far as Executorial was concerned... The ball was in their court, and it was their turn to serve it back.

...Though, things might be a little troublesome, given how the reset has impacted their skills, skills they'd honed for years... Nevertheless, they'll work something out. That is, if they can get back up to the level cap when they've made so many enemies.

Current Skills:
  • [Cyclical Paradox] [Level 1] [Passive] [Unique] We End as We Begin. When an enemy takes fire-elemental damage from this character, they also suffer the frozen status. When an enemy takes cold-elemental damage from this character, they also suffer the burning status.

  • [Origination Divergence] [Special] [Level 1] The Exceptional are not One, but the expanse of Many. Available to Elemental-race characters only. Character gains a permanent Elemental Affinity based on their racial affinity, and all weapon and skill-based attacks are automatically imbued with the associated element. [LOCKED: At higher levels, the character gains an additional elemental affinity that is the opposite of their starting elemental affinity, and can alternate between the two at will, altering stats and resistances depending on the form taken.]

  • [Temporal Trigger] [Active] [Level 1] Time waits for none but You. Up to 1 effect fired by this character can be delayed, costing all casting resources as normal, but have delayed activation until the character chooses to cast the ability.

  • [Candescent Snowfall] [Passive] [Level 1] Burn to ashes, and such shall be the black snow that falls. Attacks from this character that deal status effects build up the status effect more quickly. Enemies that die under the effects of a max-stack status effect restore a small percentage of damage dealt as HP.

  • [Withering Frost] [Passive] [Level 1] In the long winter, no flame survives the endless night. When cold-status effects dealt by this character escalate into the frozen status, the afflicted enemy receives x% additional damage from all sources.

  • [Rewinding Rounds] [Passive] [Level 1] ...There is a causal loop imprisoned within your trigger. Every shot fired by a [Firearm] class weapon has a percentile chance of flying back after reaching the maximum distance, dealing additional damage on the 'rewind'.

  • [Athame of Paracelsus] [Active] [Level 1] This is our gift alone, and the proof of our existence. Let them hear the meaning in your roar. Toggle-based skill, exclusive to Elemental players. When active, attacks consume a small percentage of own HP to imbue the attack with additional [Elemental] damage. At certain health thresholds, this damage is amplified, and reduces the enemy's resistance to the debuffs related to that element.

Equipment Slots/Currently Equipped

  • Primary Weapon: [Songless Equilibrium] [Firearm (Heavy)] [Elemental] - A silent anthem to a legend untold. Perhaps you will continue its story.
    • An elegant rifle crafted from world-tree wood, with an inlaid stock carved from dragon ivory and embellished with a plethora of comet shards. The scope is said to be made from the tears of fey, and will always allow one to sight their target, no matter how well they hide. A particularly expensive item with excellent stats that they bought from an auction once upon a time, now being put to use because they're locked out of using their usual weapon.

  • Secondary Weapon: [Abyssal Refrain] [Firearm (Light)] - Crucify your enemies with these pale nails, O Bearer Mine.
    • A glittering, crystal-wrought pistol with a strangely hollow barrel. Shots burrow into targets, and upon the same target receiving a certain number of shots, all shots detonate for an additional burst of damage and a binding effect. Exectorial's favorite sidearm, to the point where they might omit their rifle in a duel to use it.

  • Head: [Eagle-Eye Diadem] [Head] [Light Armor] - How's the view from up here?
    • Thin and inconspicuous, mounted with a crystal whose purpose is to produce a magically-projected scope for the weapons without one. Increases accuracy for all ranged weapons and helps to quickly negate visibility-negating penalties or effects.

  • Body: [Firmament Mantle] [Body] [Cloth Armor] - May you be free in this eternal domain of twilight love.
    • A reward from the "Skypiercers" limited event. Cut from a piece of the blue sky, it shimmers and ripples to display the wearer's favored time of day. Increases movement speed, dodge chance, and offers a chance to transfer debuffs sustained to the nearest enemy instead.

  • Hands: [Silversalt Veneer] [Hands] [Cloth Armor] - Sanctity and Severity have no real difference if they describe you.
    • White like the daybreak or black like an endless night, as dichotomous as the sides of a coin. Always seems to fit the wearer perfectly. Periodically grants damage resistance and a boost to incoming healing, or an increase to critical chance.

  • Shoes: [Tranquil Steeple] [Shoes] [Light Armor] - They won't hear you; even if you walk across water.
    • Makes the user's footsteps more quiet and light, helping to prevent the activation of trigger-based effects.

  • Accessory: [Gilded Plume] [Accessory] - "Promise me that this is not my last flight."
    • A lone brooch crafted from the pinion feather of a bird that has never touched the ground. Guards the user against control-based effects by preventing their application entirely, but goes into cooldown afterwards.

  • Accessory: [Ampule of Dreams] [Accessory] - They are thinking of you. Their queen even awaits your return.
    • This crystal vial is filled with an iridescent perfume mixed by a secret enclave of faeries. The scent is unmistakable, unique, and utterly tantalizing. Upon use, extends the duration of up to 3 random positive buffs on oneself, before entering a long cooldown. Capable of lengthening effects that can otherwise not be extended.

  • Accessory: [Icosahedral Magazine] [Accessory] - Nobody will ever see this coming. Let's hope you roll well.
    • It never seems to hold a concrete shape, and looks more like a large dice than any part of a weapon. While equipped, each reload of a [Firearm] class weapon has a chance to load a random number of additional bullets, determined at the time of reloading. The same weapon cannot benefit from this effect again until the magazine has been completely emptied.

Current Inventory:
  • [Symmetric Fate] [Unique] [Firearm (Heavy)] [Elemental] [Level Cap: 100] - In the abyss of all time, the lines converge upon your unknowable future. A span of eternity made manifest, and each pull of the trigger carves history into stone. This is your fated verdict, and you have brought it upon yourself. - Crafted by ==O_Needlestew_O==
    • The finest weapon for the finest sharpshooter. Custom-crafted to their specific requirements out of the rarest materials available in the game, and painstakingly etched with a skill. Vaguely shaped like a sword swathed in elemental energies and mounted with an array of runic crystals, it can turn even the simplest bullets into a deadly shot. It resonates with the user, like an amplifier for an instrument - and takes on their elemental affinity, whilst bolstering the effects of such on itself.
    • Imbued Skill: Inescapable Gaze - When attacking an enemy at a distance greater than half of the maximum possible range of the weapon or skill, this weapon has an increased critical chance and damage. Normal lock-on distance is doubled.
  • [Timeless Requiem] [Accessory] [Level Cap: 80] - In the abyss the dead gods lie dreaming, so maybe the eternal machine that never lived dreams too.
    • A pocketwatch made from golden gears that have never stopped spinning. Reward from the "Errant Tessellation" world boss. When equipped, each skill usage or trigger has the chance to reset the cooldown of another skill currently on cooldown, with a short trigger limit.
  • [Aces and Eights] [Accessory] [Level Cap: 70] - The 'dead man' referred to in this auspice would be your foes.
    • Five playing cards, with the two black aces and a pair of eights. The last card is conspicuously bloodstained. Once per long cooldown, the cards can be thrown into the air to bestow a temporary buff that drastically increases the triggering odds of any skill or effect based on chance. Near the end of the buff, all [Firearm] class weapons gain increased critical chance and damage.
  • Spyglass: Just an ordinary telescope made from brass. Used for scouting or looking at something in very close detail.
  • Monocle: A gold-rimmed singular eyeglass. Looks a bit strange on an elemental, though. How does it even stay on?
  • [Crystal Deck] [Prop] - Playing cards that are faceted and clear like crystal, though they turn opaque in a frosted way when viewed from the 'back'. Capable of floating and arranging themselves at will in the air, and can all be recalled with a gesture.
  • [Nightly Brandy] [Prop] - Manifests a cushioned chair and a table set with a decanter and cup full of strong liquor. Turns out that exposure to alcohol makes fire-aligned elementals flare up.
  • [Hunting Falcon] [Prop] - Causes the illusion of many birds of prey to fly out from behind the character. Makes for some cool poses.
  • Various health & stamina consumables, as well as assorted buff potions for a plethora of stats.

    Stashed at Residence:

  • [Seraph's Pledge] [Firearm (Artillery)] [Elemental] - O Saint, for whom do you pray in glory on high?
    • Though it appears to be a rifle, and can certainly be used as such, it is actually a launcher of sorts for fragmentary rounds. Extremely heavy recoil, projectiles gain a damage bonus as they travel further before hitting a target.
  • [Luminous Spearhead] [Firearm (Heavy)] - Spearheads shatter first, but thus shall your wrath claim the enemy.
    • A particularly light shotgun made out of... Well, pure light and marble. Looted from a hidden dungeon in the Ivorine Zephyrdom, occasionally used in certain fights for where close-quarters combat mandates switching out one's rifle.
  • [Moonblade] [Light Melee] - Gleam and glow, below a blue blue glass moon.
    • The foil sings an enigmatic song and gleams brightly under the light of the moon. A rapier with extraordinarily fast attack speed, with the chance to steal a bit of the opponent's attack speed as a debuff with each hit, granting the stolen speed to itself.
  • [Secret Wishes] [Concealed Melee] - Your wish upon me is heard, faithful one.
    • Cast from a fallen star, this weapon deals massive damage on the first hit, with additional damage if striking from a stealth status. While not entirely suited for a sniper's use, it might have niche applications in duels.
  • [Stormwind Cycle] [Mount] - A pitch-black motorcycle with stylized decorations that resemble gales of wind. Capable of extending glider wings for makeshift flight. They won this at an auction several years back. They're still not sure why they bought it.
  • ...A lot of cosmetics. Genuinely, a truckload. Exectorial rarely wears any of them, due to being attached to their usual look, but their (virtual) closet would dwarf that of a movie star.
  • Almost all of the valuable boss drops they've accumulated over the years, along with a whole stock of limited and rarer consumables they haven't had the heart to use.

Other Notable Info:
  • Possesses a permanent residence in the Ivorine Zephyrdom in the style of a marble temple. Doesn't contain much other than storage and a repair station.
  • Owns safehouses, small residences stocked with consumables and the like, in the following stages: Azure Ruinfolds, Flaxen Spiritwoods, and the Phlox Enginefort. Those were the stages known to be frequented by Executorial, and were most frequently the site of PvP shenanigans.
Cyclical Paradox is tagged unique because for the moment, they are the only player with it. Otherwise the skill is not actually unique and truly one of a kind.

Origination Divergence cannot be re-selected, and it is obtainable by Elemental race players only. Furthermore, it locks the individual out of a similar skill that allows for hybrid elements, [Origination Convergence].
Origination Divergence specifically grants the Elemental an infused affinity they can use (the race doesn't necessarily pigeonhole one into an elemental build) and later provide what is specifically the opposite of the original affinity (so an Earth elemental could gain an Air affinity) which I think is something that they can’t normally have or do since then idk, the magical energies could cancel out/oppose and kill them.

Their other ‘residences’ aren’t anything more than single rooms/shacks/basically tiny apartments in the following stages: Azure Ruinfolds, Flaxen Spiritwoods, and the Phlox Enginefort. Basically the places they’re most likely to get up to PvP in.

Final note: I know we’re not using a hard damage system but their damage is actually below that of a pure DPS in exchange for doing status effects too - with all other variables being equal.

Mona Tsai

Age: 29

Gender: Trans woman

Country of Origin: United States

About/Bio:
There was a name (several names, really), that the woman now known as Mona Tsai used to be known by. Known for their experience and decently popular reputation as a streamer playing several of the popular competitive shooters of the era. You know, like Zero Hour: Besieged, Pinnacle of Fables, Cross-Counter: International Strife, and Tremor Victors. Eventually, their popularity and skill led to them being scouted for an esports team that was newly-formed by a Mattersfield subsidiary, gunning for the Zero Hour championship. Life suddenly got a whole lot faster, and an ignominious loss in the semi-finals of their second season with the Mattersfield team led to Tsai retiring, the first member of their team to do so. They subsequently announced (to their personal followers) the fact that they would openly be a woman from then on.

This announcement, unfortunately, was met with a caustic response from many, and at least for now, Mona has withdrawn from the public eye, though she still has her supporters. Beginning a new line of work, she currently works as a journalist for Voxel, a pop culture/gaming website, and has spent quite some time playing Andaros, as a source of content and her own amusement.

Andaros Information

Player Name:
Heartpiercer (but you can call her Dr. H)

Player Level: 1 (so sad)

Class: Mad Scientist ([Herbalist] -> [Physician] -> [Mad Scientist])
An evolution of the healing classes that precede it, the Mad Scientist class is characterized by its strategic use of medical and chemical resources to control the battlefield, buffing allies and debilitating enemies. It is considered a mid-range crafting class, specialized in gathering materials for the aforementioned medical consumables and crafting them in the field where other crafting classes might need specialized facilities to do so (or not at all). Most notable among its abilities are the capability to temporarily remodel allies within reach with double edged effects that give strong benefits in return for commensurate penalties. For example, +magic attack -physical defense,or +speed -mass. These effects last for the duration of an average combat, or until the Mad Scientist revokes them. It is also proficient in the use of covert weapons as backup.
Equipment tags include (but may not be limited to): [Cloth Armor] [Tech Armor] [Chemistry Set] [One-handed Concealed Melee] [Two-handed Melee] [One-handed Ranged] [Explosive]

Noted for her incongruous appearance, Heartpiercer's avatar takes on the form of a scientist with a decidedly...exotic outfit under her coat. This contrasts with the tactical gear it is often festooned with when she prepares for a serious situation, such as tactical webbing for additional explosives, a selection of big guns, and a heavy shield.

In-Game History:
With her schedule newly vacated, Mona was ready to throw herself into the role of Heartpiercer while experiencing Andaros. She was never the fastest, most accurate shooter at the tiptop of the competitive level, but she always held the right angles, supported the team, made sure to get the refrag. At first, she decided to embody that role with the Herbalist, a gathering and healing-focused class. It didn't take long for the full range of options to dawn on her, however, and she gravitated to adopting capabilities resembling her previous interests. She liked the idea of playing as a team, but felt unnerved at the idea that it was theoretically possible for someone to lose most of what they had and get knocked down back to level 1 if they ran afoul of someone in the wrong situations.

As such, she focused on supporting other players through PvE content, assisting new players or parties in need of support, as well as participating in low-stakes PvP matches where no one's pride or material would be hurt...too much. In that way, she gradually developed a reputation for being a team player (if rather soft), and occasionally worked with members of the original iteration of the Worldenders as well, though she never committed to it or any other guild. ("Would hate to miss my obligations if I get into another game.")

The other thing she's known for (not entirely positively) is her habit of trying to roleplay as a sultry doctor/scientist like in those ecchi anime, alternating between a flirtatious, mischievous persona and more regular speech.

On the fateful day, she was one of the several unaffiliated players who chose to assist the Worldenders due to her objection at their unfair treatment, and of course ended up knocked down several pegs just like them.

Now her aims include getting back to her prior level of influence, so that she can continue to help others and generally have a good time as before.

Current Skills:
[Firearm Proficiency] [level 1]
Grants the user the ability to equip and operate firearms regardless of class. At higher levels, improves aspects like recoil control, reload speed, attack rate, and movement speed while equipped with firearms.

[Deconstruct] [level 1] Upon defeating a summoned, reanimated, or constructed opponent, 10% chance to gain a component used to create the entity.

[Entry Frag] [level 1] Upon triggering an item with the [Explosive] tag, gain increased movement speed and accuracy with firearms for a short time. At this level, it only functions the first time it would be triggered in a combat.

[Center Axis Relock] [level 1] Reduces penalties to accuracy when using a [One-handed Ranged] weapon in melee range of an opponent. At higher levels, improves melee damage, attack rate, and accuracy while using a [One-handed Ranged] weapon under any circumstance.

[Calming Fragrance] [level 1] Reduces the duration and potency of harmful status effects on nearby allies by a small amount. At high levels, completely nullifies harmful status effects that directly target allies in arm's reach. (Does not exempt them from effects in the environment that could cause complications or consequences that are not classified as status effects by the system, so their vision would still be obscured by poison gas, but they would not take damage over time from it.)

[Gas Grenade] [level 1] Can convert any [Consumable] item into a throwable [Explosive] item that spreads its effects over a small range. At higher levels, it can spare certain targets in the area of effect as well as increase the range and potency even further from the base item.

[Amputate] [level 1] When launching a melee attack against an enemy deemed immobilized by the system (under statuses like sleep, paralysis, binding, and so on), the user can nullify the use of one piece of equipment or body part on the victim, though they do not actually lose what was targeted. At this level, it can only nullify one target item for around 30 seconds and cannot amputate another item during that time. At higher levels, it can target more items simultaneously, and at max level it can be applied at range. Any effect that would prevent contact or damage from melee attacks on the victim prevents this skill from being applied as well.

(Currently equipped) Equipment Slots:

Primary Weapon:
Skorpion Machine Pistol [One-handed Ranged Firearm]. A standard machine pistol. Easy to aim, maybe hard to control once you squeeze the trigger. Fast rate of fire, reloads fast but often.

Secondary Weapon: Ballistic Shield [Shield]. A standard shield that covers roughly half of the user's body to mitigate damage or even nullify weak hits. One-handed weapons can be used alongside it, and it can be mounted on the user's back when both hands are needed free. While worn in that way, it protects from behind instead.

Head: Big Pink Bow [Cute]. It's cute!

Body: Mad Scientist's Coat [Tech Armor]. Greatly increases the storage capacity, crafting time and efficiency, and deployment speed of consumable items. It also looks cool when you swoosh it around.

Hands: Healing Hands [Cloth Armor]. Improves the effectiveness of healing consumables and other healing actions used on adjacent allies.

Shoes: Kitten Heels [Cloth (?) Armor]. Can be set to emit either a clicking heel or chiming bell noise in lieu of the normal footstep sound. Won from a PvP event sponsored by Kirsten Lobotomite, a brand in competition with Erlong early in the transition period.

Accessory: Shock Nova Shield [Tech Armor]. A worn energy shield that when turned on, mitigates damage from ranged attacks. More effective against physical rather than energy attacks. Each attack deflected reduces its power reserve, and once depleted it explodes in a nova covering a few meters that does electric damage and has a chance to paralyse, before recharging over a few minutes.

Accessory: Hardened PPE [Tech Armor]. Sharply cuts damage from all single target poison/disease effects, and completely nullifies the effects of AOE poison/disease effects on the wearer.

Accessory: Tinted Sunglasses [Accessory]. Looks cool. One of the few items that falls on the "tactical" side of Heartpiercer's incongrous aesthetic.

Current Inventory:
Before recent events, Heartpiercer had a base in the Amaranth Dragonhold with the aesthetic of a combined lab/modern military armory/teahouse. It's as contrasting as her avatar.
Notable items stashed there include:

Havoc Energy Rifle: [Two-handed Ranged Firearm] A heavy two-handed laser rifle with a spool up time and nasty DPS at full speed.
Vectis Prime: [Two-handed Ranged Firearm] A marksman rifle with a comparatively high fire rate and low upfront damage, but fires lacerating rounds that inflict and stack the bleeding status effect with each landed shot.
Mastiff Shotgun: [Two-handed Ranged Firearm] A pump-action shotgun that fires incendiary rounds that explode in a cone.
Thurible: [Chemistry Set] When placed inside and ignited, consumable items deliver their effects in an area around the user gradually, even if they would usually be instantaneous.
Blitz Shield: [Shield] A variant of the ballistic shield that can fire a flash on a minute-long cooldown that leaves nearby enemies blinded for a few seconds, with a lingering disorientation effect.
Neon White Scoopy: A promotional variant of a real-world moped that seats two, bearing emblems of a popular kids' mascot. Surprisingly fast and agile, able to wallride for a few seconds at max speed.
Remodeling Saw [Two-Handed Melee]: A large buzzsaw. On hit, the user has the option of applying the Mad Scientist's passive ability to the victim, debilitating one stat at the expense of mandatorily buffing another.
Techno Puppet: A pet in the form of a hovering, ball-shaped drone that can have technological weapons mounted on it. Another feature of the Mad Scientist, Heartpiercer has not specced into its use. The Techno Puppet can mount gear and weapons equal to another player, but uses them at lower effectiveness at its owner's command. It has other functions like unique attacks or movement options, but the owner must have the right skill to enable those functions.
Tea Set: [Cute] Spawns tea and cakes on fine china for screenshot/emoting purposes.
Cake Fork: [One-handed Concealed Melee] Has sparkly effects when it stabs something, and heals the user a tiny amount per hit. Seems to usually be used by a class that would use this item to greater effect.

As per the Remodeling Saw's description, the remodeling ability can improve one attribute at the expense of reducing another proportionately. So like +magic attack -physical defense for example,or +speed -mass. It would last for say,the duration of a light combat,or until the remodeler revokes it. The Remodeling Saw simply allows it to be applied to enemies without their consent on a successful hit.

Amputate can only be carried out personally by the user, and only on enemies that are deemed immobilized by the system. Bound, paralyzed, asleep and so on. Even if they are under such effects,if they are also under any effect that prevents melee physical attacks from hitting or damaging them, they cannot be affected by Amputate.

Calming Fragrance can fully nullify any status effect or debuff on allies at max level, but only if the user and allies are literally right next to each other, limiting their options. For example, they can still be pushed or pulled out of the very small area, and if trapped in say,a sphere that causes paralysis, they will still be affected (at lower intensity) if they move apart for any reason. (I can weaken this aspect if you deem it excessive.)

The Techno Puppet can mount gear and weapons equal to another player, but uses them at lower effectiveness at its owner's command. It has other functions like unique attacks or movement options, but the owner must have the right skill to enable those functions, which Heartpiercer does not.

    Player Name: Immortal_Empress

AppearanceImmortal_Empress is the type of player who is all too willing to sacrifice min-maxed stats for a cohesive "look" or "vibe." Fashion is the true endgame, after all. She has changed avatars and IGNs many times, but a few details always carry over. Her avatar is always female and usually quite curvy. She always has a royalty or nobility motif, such as being dressed in finery, adorned in gold and jewels, or wearing a crown or tiara. She always has the height slider maxed out, because small hitboxes are for cowards, and looking down on others is a fun flex. And, most importantly, she always builds for defense and survivability, often with classes ill-suited for it.

Her current appearance can best be described as a horned-witch-librarian, equal measures "classy" and "earthy," which sort of suits the nature theme of her current build. (Prior to this, she had a gothic-vampire-countess-knight thing going on, and a few of those items have carried over.) Her avatar's overbearing stature and regal attire, combined with Empress's naturally mature voice and strong personality, definitely gives off "dommy mommy" vibes, without really trying to.

PersonalityImmortal_Empress is a bit of an eccentric figure within the Andaros Online community. Word-of-mouth about her is very mixed, with some players describing her as, "super chill and fun to have around," while others say she's "toxic AF!" The reality is, both are true. Empress is a sharp-tongued and volatile woman, with the patience of a saint and the wrath of a goddess all rolled into one. She would describe herself as "fuck around and find out: the person."

Despite somehow reaching the Top 100 and having played for over a thousand hours, she has the vibe of a casual player and seems to genuinely enjoy the roleplaying aspects of a VRMMO. She's the type of player who will pause to eat, drink, or sit by a campfire, solely for the immersion of it, talks to NPCS like they're real people, and never skips the dialogue. In short, she lives in the game. AO is her home away from home and other players are either welcomed as guests or dismissed as unwanted intruders. This tendency to stop and smell the roses rather than grindhard24-7 seems to clash with her feisty persona, but makes a little more sense in this context.

In-Game HistoryThe player known as Immortal_Empress has been active in Andaros Online for nearly three years now. She first joined in the summer of 2039 under the player name PrincessNeverdead and has gone by various IGNs, all following a similar theme of royalty. Her IRL identity remains unknown, though most assume she is a mature woman, based somewhere in the United States. She was relatively unknown until late 2040, when she founded her one-player guild, Immortalia, to take new players under her wing, and became a lot more active in the game's community since. This was later changed to Immortal*Empire when more players began to join.

Prior to to founding her guild, PrincessNeverdead had a stronger presence on forums and discussion boards than in the game itself, leading to accusations that she was more of a keyboard warrior than an actual player. She rebutted this by posting a screenshot of her "time played" stat, which was absurdly high for a relatively new account. Some believed it was photo-shopped, but most took it at face value and wrote her off as a lonely no-lifer who stays in the dive 24-7. There was a brief time where "PrincessNeverSleeps" became a minor meme in the Andaros community forums, but it never really caught on.

She is mostly known for being very vocal about her belief that the community was focusing too much on damage output at the cost of survivability, and feared power creep could hurt AO's long-term viability. She felt that the ultra-damage meta builds and clickbait clips of "six second boss clear!!" being promoted by popular streamers and influencers were misleading new players, causing them to skip the basics in favor of chasing numbers for clout. Her personal builds have always focused on proving that defense can be sexy too, and that mid- or low-tier damage, coupled with survivability and knowledge of the game's obscure mechanics, is more than enough to have a great time. Her guild was founded to help newbies stay alive in difficult PvE content, so they can refine their builds and learn these things in a relatively safe environment.

Unfortunately, she received a lot of backlash from elitists and gatekeepers, who felt she was boosting unskilled players into high-level content. She was not known for engaging in PvP at all, so many of these people decided to square off against her, believing she'd fold like a house of cards. Although she couldn't win every match, seeing her hold her own helped silence a few of the naysayers. Her most noteworthy encounter was a 2v1 against a pair of well-known (but not well-liked) PvP players, who thought it would be fun to livestream the match. ~EnduringQueen~ (her IGN at the time) toyed with them for over two hours, at which point one ragequitted from the constant trolling. The other was KO'd shortly afterward. They never got her HP below half.

In the summer of 2041, she received a 24-hour ban from an Andaros Online forum for posting an expletive-riddled tirade about the evils of predatory capitalism and how corporate interests are ruining modern gaming. The outburst seemed to come out of nowhere and seemed waaaay too spicy, even for her. But most thought nothing of it and it was entirely forgotten... until a few months later when the buyout happened and a deluge of sponsored content swept across the virtual landscape. Immortal_Empress denied having any insider knowledge and remained very tight-lipped and evasive about the whole situation, other than standing by her opinion that, "it's fucking bullshit."

With the shift toward pay-to-win and sponsored content, not only were there less new players coming into the game, but many of the ones still around were choosing to buy their way out of trouble, which left her guild in an awkward position. Immortal_Empress had never been in the Top 100, but now found herself slipping into the low 90s as some of the game's best players deleted their accounts in protest. She received an invite to join the Worldenders in December of that year, but chose to pass on it, hoping she could turn things around within her own guild. However, she remained a vocal supporter of what they were trying to do.

Sadly, a few months later, she shut down Immortal*Empire and officially became a member of what she referred to as, "the last REAL guild left in this festering shithole of a game." Despite only ranking in the low-80s at the time, she was one of the last Worldenders left standing at the massive attack which laid them low. Sadly, it was not enough and with every death she vowed revenge against everyone and everything that had conspired against them. It is said that in her final moments she went afk. But, the truth is, she spent that time gifting most of her priceless gear, loot, and weapons to random newbies. She deposited a small fortune in the inboxes of any non-hostile players within reach, accompanied by a simple message: "here's some FREE stuff, as it should be."

While O_NeedleStew_O stored most of her materials and crafted items in a large warehouse (which acted as her previous vault) and her store, both were raided during and after the guild was taken down, as unlike many storage facilities used by members, both of these were public knowledge. Fortunately due to the need to access some materials or items quickly, she kept small storage locations in each level. They don't have much in them, only the minimum in case there was a need for such supplies because someone forgot something right before a raid or some situation to that effect.

NeedleStew's avatar consists of a short childlike female [ Northern Dragonkin ] with long blonde silky hair and sky blue eyes with orange trident-like patterns in the irises. As per the standard among that race, her avatar possesses a tiny lizard-like tail (rarely visible), a pair of horns (she went with the curved design as opposed to the more typical twisted horns) and perhaps their most notable feature, the two sets of draconic wings with a layer of feathers on the upper half, which allow them to fly though with limited speed and altitude. [ Northern Dragonkins ] also possess a minor resistance to cold damage and player-level-scaling attack referred to as [ Hail Breath ] which can either breathe a blasting of freezing frost in front them or conjure a small cloud from their horns that rains hail in a small area (area size also scales with player level).

NeedleStew will seldom be seen without some kind of matching outfit no matter the situation, and indeed she even went out of her way to often craft items specifically to cosmetically resemble other items she had just in case some item became unwearable at a bad time. Not that even she could have expected the magnitude of what actually ended up happening though.

    Level:
    [ 1 ]
    Class:
    [ Reclaimer ]

A rare class made rarer by having a number of limiting requirements and niche rewards, especially as lore classes grew ever less important with monetization granting quick access to lore information where the game could be bothered to even have any, thus significantly reducing the number of members of such classes to class change or leaving the game entirely. To unlock the [ Reclaimer ] class, the player needs to belong to an [ Ancient ] race, obtain considerable experience in several lore-oriented classes such as [ Archeologist ], [ Chronicler ], [ Mage of the Old Ways ] and [ Lim-Style Practitioner ] (some of which are themselves rare and few are combat-oriented), as well as at least two or more crafting classes, obtain a specific language and investigate hidden rooms in several lore-related dungeons, some of which designed to test player lore knowledge. Like it's combat-oriented cousin, the [ Inheritor ] class, the [ Reclaimer ] can trigger to class-specific lore events, granting it access to hidden lore, locations and unique materials. [ Reclaimers ] are able to make use of those unique lore-based materials to craft items, mostly [ Lost ] grade gear and weapons. While powerful, the downside to this process is that the game does very little to clue the player as to how to get it. As a class meant to appeal to lore-hungry players, they have to discover the solution themselves using their own knowledge.
[ Reclaimers ] are additionally armed with a set of repair, crafting and interaction abilities dependent on the crafting classes that were obtained before switching to this class, and they maintain the ability to restore artifacts from the [ Archeologist ] class and its ascensions.
There is a particular myth, a rumor circulating on forums and comment sections, which unites the remaining [ Reclaimer ] class players. Some believe that some developers who left shortly after the game was bought left behind secret content for lore diggers to find. Uncovering these supposed secret bombshells, which become wilder as time passes and the rumor circulates, is a cherished hope that continues to motivate players in several lore-dedicated classes to continue to engage with the game.

    In-Game History
O_NeedleStew_O had barely dabbled in video games by the time she joined Andaros Online. She was quick to get a passing awareness of the terminology though, and met up with the person from whom she learned about the game, Bluedaisy_11, whose party she joined. At first her low combat contribution and penchant for prioritizing aesthetics were tolerated as a newbie getting their feel of what videos game are like, but soon NeedleStew became enamored with AO's story and it became quite apparent that she was the type of person who dives headfirst into the rabbit hole once it has caught her interest. She was still below even an average member of the party but occasionally she would pull her weight by contributing some insight into a potential mechanism, interaction or mechanic derived from the lore. This, according to NeedleStew herself, were the best times she had while playing AO. However, as she improved as a player while continuing to accumulate that knowledge and obsession, she began to be overbearing and overly critical in their party. Her old habits slipping out created some tension among the group, especially as she continued to believe she was just a worse player and needed to keep pulling her weight while actually leaving the group of casual players behind. The result was all but obvious: The party split, at first just as a breather to let her try to experience the game without always being on their coattails, but eventually leading to her being outright removed from their group and even avoided due to the awkwardness.

For a time, Needlestew went through a rough patch in Andaros. She wasn't familiar to other parties and acted like quite the people pleaser, effectively bankrupting her as a crafter and letting herself take a bigger load and blame on parties in which she was an easy scapegoat. Not everyone was an a**hole of course, but often she found herself spending time grinding just to recover her losses, which helped her improve and even uncover lore secrets. In time she found support in the lore-hunting community for Andaros Online and recovered enough confidence to rely on anonymity to be less of a pushover. She was able to pursue her interests in the game, exploring a great extent of crafting skills and classes and eventually deciding to pursue the long path needed to achieve one of the lore-dedicated classes, the [ Reclaimer ].

O_Needlestew_O's claim to fame was not in PvP or PvE content. Indeed, she only won one minor PvP free-for-all tournament largely by hiding in an overlooked spot she found because of her lore knowledge, before trampling the remaining opponents with an avalanche whose mechanisms had also been overlooked by the organizers. For a very brief period this revitalized interest in lore among a portion of players that hadn't shown much interest in it, which even got the devs to add some new lore content during the following update, which the lore-hunting community greatly appreciated. What really sold her as a player was her extensive lore knowledge, her unusually high success rate in producing high quality, rare and skill-containing items and equipment, and the way she combined all this with her sheer dedication to aesthetics, spending hours to days pouring over and thinking about the intended designs and skills for her client's items, to produce some of the most satisfying and thoughtful items someone could ask for from a crafter. This fame earned her connections with many players who would come to make up the Worldenders guild long before it was ever conceived of. While O_NeedleStew_O was not a top player in the charts, she was one in the eyes of the community.

With her reputation it was no wonder she received an invitation to join the Worldenders as the top player grew dissatisfied with the way their game had been treated. She was rather inclined to agree, but ended up refusing them at first as she feared what might happen as a consequence, and she was rather used to games being crammed full of adds and monetization regardless. However, not long after that, she met up with Bluedaisy_11 again. The two of them had a heart-to-heart, not quite patching things up but at least making sure there were no hard feelings between them, even if things were still awkward, and catching up. Bluedaisy_11 confessed she was a bit jealous of NeedleStew, but before she could reply the real bombshell dropped: Bluedaisy just couldn't stay in the game anymore. It just wasn't fun anymore. This was the final drop in the bucket after her Needle's own frustration and seeing the lore community drop since the buyout. NeedleStew and Bluedaisy played through one final, easy dungeon together, before Bluedaisy left and NeedleStew made her way to the Worldenders guild, where she would dedicate most of her crafting to the guild's benefit. She helped out in other ways as well, assisting with lore events or where there weren't enough players available, and even went as far as recruiting some players to the guild as well, including the PvP expert Executorial.

At player and skill level 100 enables almost any metal to be used, requiring both to fully unlock new metal work. Can create [ Lost ] grade items using appropriate materials. Able to repair any item within it craftable categories.
Metal calls to you. You've mastered it's craft, and have become able to instinctively master even the strangest of metals, giving you the opportunity to recover a part of your ancient legacy.

    Type: Passive-Access

Requires high-level advanced skills in cloth weaving, woodworking, leatherworking and elven tailoring to unlock this skill. It enables the [ Sewing ] or [ Weaving ] with processed cloth, plant and fur materials, including mix-material item production, but forgoes the production of non-weaved items such as wood weapons. Materials that can be used depend on skill and player level. Starting from skill level 70, enables the entanglement ability which sacrifices cloth or plant materials for a 20% chance to inflict the [ Restrained ] status (duration dependent on enemy strength parameters).
You have reached the highest peak of weaving. A tapestry is a sea, and you and the goddess who commands the currents that flow the sight.
    [ Archeoanalysis Catalog ]
    Level: 1
    Type: Active

Derived from the [ Archeologist ] class and the standard [ Appraisal ] skill, this skill allows one to inspect information on targets, objects, items and locations. A [ Vault ] must be determined at some point after acquiring the skill using a player-owned location, at which point it becomes locked to that location unless emptied or destroyed. The information the skill can provide depends on the items placed within the vault, particularly those found in dungeon or raid content, or restored using the [ Archeologist ]'s abilities or those of related classes. At higher levels, a sufficiently rich vault could enable the discovery of hidden events.
You remember and organize everything in your vault and are able to link those findings to the world of today, uncovering secrets long forgotten or never known.
    [ Elemental Array ]
    Level: 1
    Type: Passive-Access

The user can cast a basic attack spell that creates three orbs, each of which can be imbued with one element or energy type, with very few exceptions. As a tradeoff for this flexibility the damage scales poorly, causing it to quickly drop off usefulness as a means of dealing damage relative to other spells of the same level. The skill gives an additional non-scaling small utility spell associated with element and energy type every 10-20 levels.
An elementary study for aspiring archmages.
    [ Vanish ]
    Level: 1
    Type: Active & Passive

When activated, the user gains the [ Stealth ] status for a short period, no more than a handful of seconds at level 1 followed by a cooldown period. During/after activation the user's dodge rate is momentarily increased. While [ Stealth ] status is active, the user has an increased dodge rate against AOE attacks and effects, and greater damage reduction from dodging.
You need no crowds and no shadow. You can blend into the air itself, as though you were always a mirage.
    [ Legendary Collector ]
    Level: 1
    Type: Passive

A specialized version of the draconic-races-requiring skill [ Hoard Seeker ]. The skill adds a 'correction' to drop rates to increase them for rarer items and lower them for more common items. While less generically effective, this skill is much more effective at increasing the rare drop [ Skill Crystal ] that can be used to create items with skills. Additionally it improves the chance for a skill to randomly emerge during crafting, and the success rate of infusing skills during crafting.
Through the eons, many heroes sought a dragon's hoard, knowing it could hold countless weapons worthy of forging a legend with.
    [ Vhulcaestu's Soulsmithing (Unique) ]
    Level: 1
    Type: Passive-Access

Allows [ Enchanting ] an existing item with a trait or [Imbuing] into an item during crafting. While traits rarely have inherent properties (these are unlocked for this skill at a high level), they can be used to avoid resistances or flag weaknesses, interactions or events. If a user has this skill and an [ Appraisal ] -type skill, they are also able to inspect traits in creatures and items. Increases the degree of customization beyond the default parameters when crafting, particularly in terms of design.
The divine skills of Vhulcaestus, god of forging, god of artisans and patron of dragon was said to be able to create weapons that revealed the very essence of a soul. A shard of this art is embedded into your soul as you too have become a worthy vessel to spread its name.

    Equipment

    [Primary Weapon]
[ Holy Chains Temperance ] (Reach Weapon | Telekinetic | Holy | Ancient | Scaling) Level Cap: 25. Attacks with this chain have an optional chance to cause the [ Restrained ] status for a few moments. Higher chance against enemies vulnerable to [ Holy ] damage. Rather than attacking, can also be used to pick up things or attempt to inflict [ Restrained ] status with high chance and indefinite duration (until enemy manages to free themselves) at the cost or forgoing the ability to use the chains while that status remains. This item scales with user level.
Thy soul is worthy, for it know restraint. Let us be wielded to protect this world from the slavery of its own vices.
    [Secondary Weapon]
[ Multi-drill Miner MKXI ] (Single-handed | Melee | Tech | Tool Weapon) Inflicts [ Armor Reduction ] against non-spiritual enemies damaged by it. Allows a user to [ Mine ] for metal ores with great efficiency. Crafted by O_NeedleStew_O.
At the very edge of dwarven digging engineering for about 20 minutes.
    [Head]
[ Infiltrator's Crown ] (Light Armor | Lost) Level Cap: 35. Slightly reduces skill cooldowns. Receiving damage does not remove [ Stealth ] status from user. Can activate the item to identify structural weak points in structures, constructs, locks and armor. Crafted by O_NeedleStew_O.
The crown of the once-king of thieves, Alibara.
    [Body]
[ Gown of the Phoenix Queen Replica ] (Cloth Armor) A largely cosmetic replica of the item [ Gown of the Phoenix Queen ]. Still grants some minor HP recovery and [ Fire Resistance ]. Crafted by O_NeedleStew_O.
As charming as a true phoenix's feathers, brimming with red hot vigor.
    [Hands]
[ Expert Curator's Gloves ] (Cloth Armor) Increases the user's success rate when crafting, repairing or restoring items. Decreases chances to damage or break [ Fragile ] items. Crafted by O_NeedleStew_O.
The ravages of time and preciousness of findings require the gentlest care and the least contaminated fingers.
    [Shoes]
[ Ornate Steps ] (Medium armor | Ancient) Grants a boost to reputation and charisma towards NPCs, particularly high society NPCs and particularly post a dancing performance. Have an ability to create a tiny jump boost, if used with the right timing can prevent most fall damage.
Though all appreciate the art of dance, only the noble and civilized appreciate the wealth of dance.
    [Accessory]
[ Mantle of Majesty ] (Cloth Armor | Lost) Improved reputation with NPCs that are part of nobility or equivalent, a part of a group working directly under such an NPC or have extreme loyalty or respect for such NPCs. Most effective in the Kingdom of Chartreuse, Flaxen Spiritwoods and Ivorine Zephyrdom. Least effective in the Abyss and Phlox Enginefort. Decreased reputation with NPC bandits and rebel groups. Can activate an effect in an area around the user that forces any who fail to resist it into a kneeling animation for a few moments. Long cooldown. Crafted by O_NeedleStew_O.
Once known as royal attire, it became a powerful symbol of respect and status.
    [Accessory]
[ Ancient Porter's Bracelet ] (Ancient) Creates additional storage space in which only crafting materials can be placed. Crafting materials no longer count towards encumbrance. Gives two boosts to HP and strength one depending on how full that additional space is, the other on how full the user's inventory is in general. Crafted by O_NeedleStew_O.
Whether they carried stone, metal, or the very nobility above them, strength was required even where food was scarce.
    [Accessory]
[ Prospector's Perfect Eye ] A monocle with a built-in [ Material Appraisal ] skill. It can be useful in identifying and determining the value of materials. Though less reliably, it can also examine items to predict their value if sold to NPCs.
Appraisal without tools is nothing but wild guesswork.
Background/Bio

While Agnes Wolf prizes her anonymity, she's one of the more relaxed people when it comes to details about her home life. The way she sees it, it'd be kind of hard to not at least giveway she's a highschool girl with her scheduling needs and some inevitable slip-up down the line. Rather than hiding stuff like that, she just keeps details vague. The fact that she O_NeedleStew_O joined the game because of someone she knew in real life is known in the forums is one such example, and those familiar with her early history have already thrown about guesses as to what that player is. What isn't known are the reasons NeedleStew decided to follow this person into the game.

Agnes is apparently a pretty good student in real life, and while she doesn't tend to treat this like a big deal she's definitely prone to letting too much praise go to her head, only to deeply regret that foolishness later. Her time in Andaros online certainly benefits from her talents: She's like an encyclopedia when it comes to the parts of AO's lore that have been discovered thus far and a number of the ways to find that lore and related content. There's also the fact that she's talented enough to stay a good student even with the amount of time she dedicates to the game, not to mention having parents either permissive or absent enough to enable a highschool student to stay in the dive so long.

She's also accidentally revealed that at some point she switched schools. Because of this, people have predicted that her parents are the type to move for work, an explanation for two mysteries in one. Agnes herself has given no confirmation nor denial of these theories, but she has given away that she has an older brother who moved out of state, whom she rarely gets to talk with.

The idea behind the lore unlocks of the Reclaimer class is similar to many secret entries in games which require you to solve or meet some condition to reveal / open the path. Basically there is extra content in the dungeon or location that was programmed in, but it only reveals itself or allows players to access if a member of the Reclaimer class or Inheritor class are present. While there may be other lore classes that do the same for different zones, the way I envision it the Reclaimers and Inheritors would have the lion's share in this regard. The locations would be accessible to anyone with a member of one of those classes in the party.

The Inheritor is very similar to the reclaimer but with somewhat different conditions and rather than crafting-focused it's combat-focused

The only ones who can craft [ Lost ] tier items are Reclaimers, though the ones best suited for using them are Inheritors and [ Lost ] items can be obtained even without an Inheritor or Reclaimer around mostly from dungeon or raid drops. The only thing Reclaimers have over [ Lost ] items is the ability to craft them and being one of the two classes who can access the locations where the materials are gathered from to make them.

They are still pretty top-tier items otherwise, though only comparable not better than other top-tier item categories. Crafting them replaces the difficulty of finding them through dungeons or raids with the difficulty of getting the Reclaimer class and the right materials. Crafting them is also more flexible than hoping that some boss will just happen to have the right drop for you.

"weaving", "woodworking" or "leatherworking" are not specific skills per say, but moreso skill categories. So there's a bunch of skills that would fall into "weaving" or "woodworking" or "leatherworking", including advanced skills. Still, if it doesn't fall into a neat category it could still fall into several categories, or if it's too distant from a certain category just wouldn't fall into it even if it touches on some part of it.

Regarding [ Reclaimer ] and [ Inheritor ] lore. The idea of these classes is basically that old trope of people from (reclaimers) or descendants of (inheritors) a lost advanced ancient civilization. To prevent overlap this isn't technologically advanced, but advanced in magical properties and constructs so they take a more mystical / magitech aesthetic rather than modern or cyber. The kind of extra lore / content they have access to is that pertaining to that theme.

  • The game keeps track of your past skills, classes and so on. So it's not just having the right ascension, the game can handle requirements such as multiple classes that are not in the same ascension line as even after you switch classes the game "remembers" that at some point you had X class at Y level.
  • I'm assuming the game has hidden flags within it as just that regular part of the programming. A random wooden sword is probably not gonna have a [flammable] tag (if such a thing even exists) but it could still be set on fire, potentially? So the game would have a hidden "tag" that flags the game that if this object is set on fire it burns, giving it a flame animation maybe damaging or destroying it. This idea is kind of core to my character as a lot of it uses it.
[ Reclaimers ] need hidden flags in the game to make it so they trigger the hidden class-specific content.
The [ Vulchaestus Soulsmithing ] skill is based around putting properties on items which would work via such flagging.
And this is also how, even if there's no specific visible [weaving] or [crafting] tags, the game could still recognize them as part of such a category.

In-Game History: Ocarina is well-known to be one of the player with the most online time, check on the the online player list anytime and 90% of the time you will find her there. She's also heavily immerse herself in the world of Andaros, always talking in-character and treats NPCs like real person. Her presence outside the game is zero though, no forum account or highlight video that have her inside it. Her progress was largely unnoticed by most until one day she hit the #99 in the leaderboard.

After the owner change, its clear that the new system greatly affect her as she started to speak out of character more frequently and her online time gradually becoming less and less until she simply vanished from Andaros for several weeks as she tried to look for another games to fill the void in her life. Unfortunately the other games are in similar situation. So she login back into AO and joined Worldenders, with frustration brewing inside her mind about the fate of the game, the fate of her world.

Current Skills:
  • Divine Favor [Passive/Buff] lvl 1: Slightly increase odds of things to go in the user's favor. Slightly increase the effectiveness of buffs applied to the user. The best variant of the luck increasing skill, although at level 1 the increase is so minuscule she might as well play with 6 skills.
  • Eldritch Bane [Passive/Buff] lvl 1: Once every 10 minutes in combat, the user's weapon will be engulfed in heavenly fire. Their next attack will ignore the target's defenses, resistances and immunities. Damage dealt by attack imbued with this skill can't be healed until the combat ends. The effect of this skill will reappear once every 10 minutes. Increasing the skill level will decrease the time needed for the skill to recharge.
  • Fate Breaker [Active/Cleanse] lvl 1: Instantly removes all crowd control from the user. This skill can be used when controlled. The cooldown of this skill is pretty long, even at higher level. Breaking through the level caps will give the skill the capability to cleanse more status.

  • Swaggerplay [Active/Damage/Debuff] lvl 1: The user's open her mind eye for the next 10 seconds, enabling them to see 4 weak spots on a target. Hitting the spots within the duration would deal extra damage and temporarily reduce the target's defense. Hitting all spots would deal another burst of damage and extend the duration of the debuff. The number of weak spots increase by one for each level cap break.

This weakness, as she would explain it to be caused her a great bout of depression. A fight she overcame one year because of good grades when she was going through high school. Her parents purchased the best thing that ever happened to her. The Dreamhelm was a game system and in truth she didn't show interest at first. However, one day she decided to take and just try it.

This attempt led her to finding Andaros. A virtual haven... Or rather she'd call it her heaven. A place she could truly be her. Even if it wasn't exactly "her." She could speak fluently and eloquently. Something she longed to do.

In-Game History: SilentTyrant2036 also known as "Hobo", "Hippie", "Stinky", by the community of the game. Was never one to get involved in combat. The most notable feat they ever did was playing an acoustic guitar out near some square fountain out in the residential area of Chartreuse for other's to enjoy. This would go on for hours endlessly. They wouldn't stop. He spent a great length of playing the game just Role Playing some street performer.

Despite his moniker of "Silent." He never showed an ounce of quiet. The Roleplaying guilds begged him to join and sure he might have joined for a time. But he would always drift back to that square's fountain to sing. Day after day he would be there. Many would gather to listen. Eventually his popularity took to a video sharing site. A channel appeared with the name "Grandpa Si-Ty Covers" with a weekly upload rate. He would take real world requests of pop songs and perform them. Those that enjoyed him would drop generous donations in his mail box.

As many days that he did that for the years he had played the game. A rumor spread he owned the biggest mansion in the residential area with as much money he had to have made. That's not been proven, however.

Soon past that point his performances would be drowned out by the new corporate fad's noise. They would move in and he would have to locate to a less populated area. With that said, there in lie the issue. Less populated meant the less that would show for his performances. He still had his small cult following from social media. Another day, another week, another month, less showed. Less showed and more corporate invasion.

The noise that drowned out his beloved performing spot made him grit his teeth and furrow his brow to the point he'd kill to be rid of them. Rid of them and back to the good ole' days. He heard stories of heroes that took it to these goons. He had recited said stories to the young who would come to enjoy him.

Maybe it was time for some Anarchy, Violence, and Rock and Roll... But how? That was the question. He had always been a pacifist but even he knew that blind pacifism would make him feel his depression again. Because of his status he got on to find the invitation to the Worldenders. Though he never considered himself a top player. This was a complement to him. He'd have to look where he was in the top 100. This would be the one Guild he'd have to invest himself in. He'd have to just man up and resolve himself. Lest he take to resign himself to his depression again.

The latter was not an option.

He had a combat class. He didn't use it but it was an option. He would just have to level it. Through Rogue, and a few monster bodies cut and dumped in some mote to decompose. He made it to Ninja. A weapon and some magic to practice with. Yes, Bard his main class had spells. They were more supportive than damaging and that required another dedicated party member. Pressed for time as he was. He did not wish to burden another guild member. He was nothing if not dedicated. Down right stubborn even.

After a great length of time had passed he had made it back to town. He found a new add on the bulletin. At first he thought it more trash riddling his beloved. However, perhaps RNGesus was looking out.

"Blade Singer"

He thought aloud that sounded exactly like the literal "edge" he needed to usurp the overlords. He took the flier with him on a lengthy journey. Eventually taking one of the derigibles to the steam punk paradise. He crumpled the paper, pocketed it, and sought out the class instructor after getting the prerequisites.

What were they, you ask?

A high level Bard, easy enough for him. A decent melee/caster class, that still needed work but where he had to be he would get that in no time.
Marksman would also be on his list of classes he would have to include. Because of it's natural affinity for accuracy and crit as stats.

Then to track down a monster in the sewers of the Phlox Enginefort. Good thing he needed to be there anyway. Help an NPC name Jichael Mackson kill it and he should have been good.

A lot of work but worth it. He met Mackson that looked as if he was part of the mafia. A fedora, and a studded red leather jacket.

After a few weeks of game time grinding. He was face to face with a giant mutated sewer gator. A monstrosity that towered over him despite his own stature. It also was poisonous as it quickly dispatched Mackson. He had succumbed to intoxication leaving Si Ty to fend off the beast. It was hard but he succeeded. He had acquired what he needed with a few additions. He had gained Mackson's Jacket and his weapon. Which was the best gear he had seen yet.

Class Description: The Blade Singers were an old sect of Bards that roamed the streets of Phlox. The class in question requires a moderate knowledge of Ranged and Melee combat. As well as basic casting. This is why he needed [Marksman], [Ninja], and [Bard]. They were known for being hired muscle against the undercroft's mutated monstrosities.

For all the upper level progress of the city. They had to dump tons of chemicals that created mutants in it's sewers. Every once in a while one of them would crawl it's way to the surface. The hands would then be called to drag them back down to be washed out with the rest of the sewage. The secrets of their "Progress" must be kept under the city for the good of the people.

The hunting prerequisites of the former classes give them innate tracking abilities to find targets. Dispatching them quickly with moderately powerful spells and resonating flourishes of brandished bladed instruments or ringing warring shots. If not dancing around the opposition with incredible evasiveness and illusionary tactics. Not quite a assassin or a caster but still a jack of all trades to be respected.

Current Skills:

  • I'm just gonna introduce like a few key words for those reading. So they understand some things about how I intend to play the class. Cleaning up so there is less of a confusing mess for people to read.

[Channel] If something says "can be channeled for x" I'm just holding it and accumulating power at the cost of mana. So if I use the term Level that is for the skill's power level during channeling. Not it's Skill Level. The Level can be held up to a maximum of three for an increased effect of damage, a skill becoming single target/aoe, skills gaining something like a bleed, etc.

[Sunder] Will refer to any defense/magic defense down/Crit resistance down's applied to an enemy. I will specify what I mean. If a skill says that Sunder is applied more than once. It will happen in stacks. In the case of the crit resistance down. This does not increase it's chance to happen as you would assume. It just makes critical strikes hit harder.

[Bleed] This is exactly as it sounds. The enemy that has the bleeding status will take a small physical D.O.T.

  • [Skill 1] [Active] - Air Bolt [Skill Level: 1]: "You've been Thunderstruck!" Take aim and launch a projectile of pure concussive force. Can be channeled over the course of a few turns to increase it's size and destructive power. The increase to the size is equivalent to hitting multiple targets.

    Skill Level:

1 - 20: No effect. Aside from the above description. Small air magic damage.
21 - 40: Adds a knock back to the spell. Effectively pushing them back by a few feet if applicable.
41 - 60: Medium damage increase to the spell.
61 - 80: Adds Sunder to the spell. Breaking their defenses by a small amount.
    81 - 100: Heavy Damage Increase.

  • [Skill 2] [Active] - After Imagery [Skill Level: 1]: "Maybe I should hate you for this! If I'm just bad news, then you're a liar!" Create a duplicate of yourself. It can act according to a command given. They will only act with those command prompts. Can be channeled to create an additional copy. Every copy made takes a small portion of health.

    Commands:

Sic: Clones will converge on a target in a offensive manner. They will attack relentlessly.

Perform: A clone is stuck in a performance type state. This draws the attention of enemies to it.

Mirror: This allows the clone to copy an action taken. If they take an offensive action such as casting a spell. The spell cast's damage is reduced. It also can not be channeled.

Chant: This allows a clone to channel a spell. However, it will take double the normal channel length. More clones can get involved to speed up the process. Reducing the time spent to normal cast times. Only two clones can be used even if more have been deployed.

    Skill Level:

1 - 20: Only one clone can be made at a time. Maximum two.
    21 - 40: No change.
41 - 60: Maximum number of clones becomes three.
    61 - 80: No change.
81 - 100: Maximum number of Clones becomes four.

  • [Skill 3] [Active] - Biting Blade [Skill Level: 1]: "Hey crits, you were our only friends! And I know this is belated but we love you back!" The blade oscillates at such a high frequency. It literally sings because it vibrates with an incredibly high speed due to wind magic. That it tears through any material as if it were a finely toothed saw.

    Skill Level:

1 - 20: Minimum damage. Sunders a small amount of defense and gives them a Crit Resistance down.
21 - 40: More damage, more Sunder. Sunder now can have up to twenty stacks effectively. Stacks can only be accumulated by the player's physical damage. [Bleeding will effect this]
41 - 60: Damage is further increased. Two stacks of Sunder will be applied immediately.
