All Soulcages have two defensive traits: Shields and Soak.


Soak is straightforward - it reduces incoming physical harm by a flat value. By default it is 5 for all ‘cages, but certain ‘cages have a higher or lower value.


Shields start at 10 and negate incoming damage. They refresh fully every second Round as long as no hits landed. Soak does not apply.


‘Cages have different Condition values, and user Health is always 10.


All ‘Cages are immune to Magic, preventing friendly fire and forcing Bandi vs. Bandi conflicts to gun and blade.


All Soulcages grant the wearer Physical Attributes (Strength, Dexterity, Fitness) of 4. Each type of ‘cage adds bonus Physical Attribute points on top of that.


Intuition starts at 2 and costs 3, 6, and 9XP for ranks 3 to 6.


All other Attributes start at 1.


You get 54 XP to spend on all Social and Physical Attributes at standard XP rates.


Opportunities to increase Attributes after character creation will be rare.


All Bandi awaken with three points in Melee, Ranged, Unarmed, and Athletics. You’ll receive XP for Skills as memories return or you undertake training.


All Bandi awaken bonded with their Soulcages - symbiotic suits of powered armour that empower and protect the Bandi. To remove them would kill the wearer.


Soulcages have a regenerating Mana reserve of 10 which recovers at a rate of 2 Mana per Round.


Soulcages spend Mana to generate Magical effects; every 1 point spent is a point of Damage. Some 'cages can spend 2 points per Attribute point to buff or debuff allies and enemies.


Masters of their craft, Bandi do not have to sacrifice Combat Pool for their first spellcast in a Round.

    A solid all-round ‘cage, the Vala can project flames, heat the air, generate explosions, and increase their allies resistance to mind-altering effects.


    Vala are coloured in shades of fire and gold, and often the helmets invoke the Manticore of ancient times.

    Appearance:


    A cage without remorse or pity, the Jadugara is a lanky creature coated in a self propagating black substance similar to melted wax. It doesn't drip but can be wiped away from the body of the Soulcage to reveal a shiny metallic surface underneath.


    A hunched head with three yellow eye sockets on each side and no visible method of turning it's head. The eyes are underlit, a small amount of light generated inside each one acting as a pupil. The eyes roll freely in their sockets. The shoulders roll directly up past the location of the neck and connect directly to the head. Where a normal face would be located is blank and leads down into a gulping triangular 'mouth' which descends into the upper chest, again bypassing the nonexistent neck. Much akin to a gulper eel, it retracts into her body completely when closed.


    The body itself is long, tapering down to hips and surprisingly powerful legs. The forearms are neglected and thin, resembling that of a skeleton but the fingers are webbed. The legs follow the design of length in the body but have much more substance to them than the arms and are double jointed for springing power. The cage walks on it's toes like a bird, snapping them powerful bones together when jumping.

    Appearance:

    Sleek and slender in build, Oustus's voice and body are feminine in design, featuring plating of metallic chrome in appearance, specifically about the shoulders and chest, as well as along the limbs, as if wearing very light plate armor reminiscent of ancient knights. These plates feature many transparent windows showcasing inner workings of ticking gears turning in place and thin wires pulsing with a dull yellow flow of energy. However, despite their armour-like image, these features are more for structure and appearance rather than protection or deflection against any blows stronger than a slight bashing, which could disturb the meticulous churning of the delicate inner workings.


    Instead, the sleekness of the curves promotes agility and flexibility, giving a feeling of aerodynamic ability, her head especially so, with the upper half shaped as a hemisphere, effectively masking where the eyes would be located, while glistening lights appear to dance under the dome in place of these. Meanwhile the lower half of the face maintains a humanoid appearance, a delicately shaped nose protrudes from under the dome above a slim mouth and defined chin, all covered in a synthetic "skin" with a dull silver sheen that contrasts to the shining dome that covers the remainder of her head, all of which rests atop a slightly elongated neck, giving an aura of grace and poise. At the back of her head, in lieu of hair, several tendrils only inches long writhe and slither, sockets in their ends presumably for various external attachments. These sockets also extend to other areas of the body, running along either side of the spine and implanted into the shoulder blades, empty, rounded holes for appendages and features missing long into the spans of time.

    The Bujali is built for the storms it creates. Aerodynamic in nature, it has sharper, pointed features that diminish towards it's back, where cape helps act as a glider. The gunmetal sheen may deceive the cage as heavy, but it is merely for sustenance, sustainability. It is a conductor, where static can crack and lightning can form, it's magnetism controlled in textured pads, on the bottom of hands and feet. Androgynous in feature, the cage is small and underdeveloped when compared to a human - it does not believe in the idea of a 'gender'.

    Appearance: The figure from a distance could be described as a lanky, malformed humanoid of disjointed limbs and shapes. Devoid of skin or other such superficial containment, muscles and machine meld visibly dissolving into the other becoming an indistinguishable writhing mass. It's constantly shifting bulk twitches rhytmically pulling itself into different forms and shapes, materializing or dissolving organs for a purpose long forgotten. It's carapice is dull and reminiscent of tar with muted traces of red faintliy blinking through it's form. Hands and feet at once both reminiscent of many prey animals and none of them absently claw at the air for something just beyond it's grasp. Of where it's head should be lies a depressed honeycomb of hatred, compound eyes flickering forming images coherent and not. A face, a message, soundless white noise. Lined inside and out with teeth that move independently of the rest of it stained with rust and age.


    Blues Drive Monster is little more than a corpse propelled by twin purpose of hatred and confusion. From whence does it's anger come, and for what reason? What it was or might have been is one of the few things that can calm the storm, however briefly. For there is certainly little doubt of what it is now. Pulled from slumber by a voice, it's static lilt brings a flash of blue through the red. Noise emerging reminding the body of what the heart knows no more.

    Appearance:


    The metallic bonds of the plates of the mechanical exoskeleton interweave through the entire make up of the anthropomorphic figure. The metallic coats resembling that of plated armor, perhaps with the ability to act just as that. Long limbs, but flexible nonetheless, and a helm with a single-eyed navy blue visor along the helmet. Couple with the black cloak that hung from its back, accompanied with a hood that sometimes would make its arrival on to the head.
