We're starting the RP! (I will have something for if others join along the way.)

Maria smiled at the halls of the old school she's come to love during the last year. Though summer didn't work out for her very well she was happy to be back to the place she considered home. As she walked down the halls she listened to her shoes tapping against the tiled floors and let her hand run against the smooth, empty wall, that was once filled with the works of students that attended the school. She smiled at the thought of all the smiling faces of the hardworking seniors last year, as their eyes scanned the works of their classmates comparing them to their own. She couldn't wait to start a new project, just so her face could match those of the students before her. Though it was the first day of school, and they wouldn't start a project until at least a week later. The first day of school was dedicated to meeting new people and sitting in the new classrooms they were going to have year long. Not like she minded that she was going to meet new people, she always jumped at the chance to make friends. Her hand fell to her side, as her head looked around the nearly empty hall only seeing teachers scurry to the classrooms to get ready for the new year.

She walked around for another half hour before students started to arrive, ending the short trip down memory lane. Her sweet time alone with her happy memories came to an end as students filled the halls. She looked at each of the passing faces and smiled at the differences they each held. Her heart fluttered as she tried reading their personalities. She couldn't wait to make new friends anymore. She quickly threw herself in the crowd, dashing down the hall to the auditorium where students would receive their schedules. When she arrived she patiently waited in the line where sophomores received their classes. She looked around the large room, looking at the corner of the room where she sat on the first day of her Freshmen year. She had almost forgotten that this years Freshmen weren't going to be given a huge assembly welcoming them to the school. They were just going to be given schedules and be sent to class like the rest of the students.

Walter

"I'm going to meet up with some friends," Quin says quietly, pouting when Walter ruffles her hair. "You're ditching me," he accuses, holding open the door of the auditorium for her. "Yep," she replies cheerfully, waving as she walks over to join the long line of Sophomores to get her schedule.

Walter talks with some friends before joining the line of Juniors. Hopefully, he'd manage to make more friends in his actual grade this year. Since the swim team was open to all grades, most of his friends from last year were Seniors or Sophomores. He examined each face in the slow moving line, noting that there were some cute girls this year. Maybe if their schedules lined up, he'd actually talk to them instead of hanging out with the guys like he did every year. Which was sometimes awkward, seeing how most of his friends were dating (or
had dated) one of his seven sisters.

He winced at that thought, looking over at Quin in the Sophomore line anxiously. Yeah, he'd definitely try to make friends with some girls this year.

Quin

Quin walked away from Walter as quickly as possible, keeping her head down as she carefully dodged students to make her way to the Sophomore line. She loved her brother, and she knew he meant well. But he'd probably stand in line with her if she didn't leave, and she really didn't need him to hold her hand. He seemed to think that just because she was shy, she needed a bodyguard all the time.

The over-protective brother thing was appreciated, but how could she make friends with him hovering over her? What if someone thought- shudder- he was her boyfriend, or something? She bit her lip as she considered this, before hurriedly pushing that repulsive thought out of her head. She needed to focus on getting her schedule and maybe talking to a few people. Hopefully everyone would be friendly...
