The homeroom bell rang throughout the school. The boys had finally entered Middle School not too far back, and it didn’t seem like everyone’s interests devolved into the female anatomy like the other 6th graders they knew growing up. Well, as far as Kenny knew. The other boys were beginning to catch onto the stuff he had known since Elementary, but Kenny didn’t think most of them found it that interesting.
The boy walked into the classroom, waving at the other students. The town was so small that his class hardly changed at all ever since Kindergarten. The boy took his seat in the back of the room, resting his head on his hand after pulling his notebook out of his bag. He checked his schedule for the day. After school he wanted to go to the afterschool cheer tryouts, and later on look for quick ways to get money. While walking Karen to school one morning, the girl noticed a doll in the window and fell in love. She quickly accepted that she wouldn’t get it, but Kenny felt bad seeing her going from so happy to so disappointed so fast. He wanted to try to get the doll for her as quickly as possible without their dad knowing.
The boy got distracted from his thoughts as Kyle and Cartman loudly started arguing next to him, probably about something really trivial. Kenny never thought their relationship could get any worse since 4th grade, but apparently it had. Kenny sighed as the two fought, and gazed towards the doorway. He hoped Butters would show up today. Kyle and Cartman would probably be at each other’s necks the rest of the day, and Stan was feeling too depressed since Wendy broke up with him again recently. He looked back down at his book again, and began to messily doodle on it, waiting for the bell.
