"How dark and mysterious." Emery sighed dreamily at Lapis after the boy threatened to melt the insides of his skull. Emery was really soaking up the reactions this morning. Great beginning to the trip. "You want to be with me so bad, Loopy. Get a grip." The nickname for Lapis had arrived. Loopy. Mainly because Lapis was a temperamental guy. Subtle way to call him crazy. "If you are going to drool like a dog, might as well bark like one. Woof woof, mongrel."
The ghoul turned back to respond to the newcomer, who's ego seemed to stay steady, if possible. "So you're delusional, is what I'm hearing."
He listened as Minma referred to him as a lump of a human. Making Emery mumble a hungry and absentminded, "I love humans." Which was true. Eating them, to be specific. Sounded more like a compliment than anything, being compared to his favourite food. He blinked a few times, actually focusing back into what the bus gang was talking about.
But the smarminess of the blonde faltered as Minma stood. Not because Emery was afraid, but the guy was taller than him. His eyes narrowed. Emery didn't like that. Not one bit. He couldn't even stop a muttered "You long bastard," falling out of his mouth.
"Well now I don't feel like telling you. Got stage fright." Emery was now just being difficult for zero reason. He also pushed himself off the seat, straightening up and attempting to tilt his head a little to look taller. Didn't work. Guy was quite a few inches above him, hindering his attempt pointless. Emery was not happy about this in the slightest, and it was evident. He liked to be the tall one. His previous sly smile was more forced, tinged with bitterness.
"Don't like the name Minma." The ghoul was blunt with that comment. Less entertained, more snarky. "How about, mincemeat? Suits you. Better yet, keep Blueberry." As if to prove his point, the blonde raised a hand to swipe Minma's hair over his face. Incredibly childish on his part.
