so everyone is in a shieldwall and the hexers have been placed to disrupt some archers ? what’s the terrain lookin like ? how many ppl are we up against , why are we up against them
1. Yap. And if you read properly, certain peeps are being directed elsewhere.
2. Wooded sloped landing. So our opposition has high ground advantage and tree cover/concealment for the archers.
3. Somewhere between 20-30.
4. Don't ask me why, ask Sigrid. Makes you wonder, who would be angry with a bunch of adventurers stealing a boat to go exploring?

well my guy can’t cast long range spells for his life so he gonna just leave the shield wall and pursue the archers

Your answers have been enlightening. But here's my questions.

Arni is accompanying NPC Hargrimm so:

1. Other than breaking to flank, are there any other objectives?
2. I am a bit confused on the language, does "Arni, stay with him and sweep your way right!" mean that Arni has to stay with Hagrimm while protecting their right side OR does this mean Arni will spread from Hagrimm's position to the right side?
3. The axe-throwing merc is he close or farther away?

Do the enemies that are coming toward our shieldwall have spears ? Only swords or a mixed ? If they have spear Kaija will probably be less frontal as in fox form they are a little more dangerous for her because of the range and easier thrust. But if they have swords and shield or better no shield, it's killing time.
"OPEN!" She would say, diverting her weighted strength to her hips, as she took a few steps back to let a few of their assailants stumble past the shieldwall.
That's our cue (Kaija, Aglain and Anja) to go I guess? Are the enemies really close to us since we let them approached near the shieldwall or do we have to run a bit to reach them ?

I admit I'm tempted to concentrate on incapacitate them by biting and trying to break their legs or smth like that so either
1 - They get stomped by their allies
2 - We only have to finish them off while they try to move but fail to get up.

Or do a classic bite and try to go for the throat. Although by now Kaija would still probably go for the knee, especially the back to make them fall and then finish them off.

By looking at them do they have some really sturdy armor ?

From my gist of it, the enemies were literally shoving against the shield wall to try and break through. The Open order was literally to open up said shield wall and let them fall through so the people in the back can take them out.

Like imagine this scene, but instead of shoving the Persians back and spearing them, the Shieldbearers step back and open up to let a few fall through for the three to take care of.

Plotting The Simpsons GIF

So logically some will fall, well then a quick bite to the throat or eating their face will do the job quite well

Well...
> The soldiers raised their weapons and met the three with the determination to kill.

So they aren't down and helpless.

I'd say they'd be better off just turning around and shanking the shield bearers in the back, but.... that would end the RP pretty quickly. Also probably something, something not honourable when there's warriors facing off against them already.

Since we are three (+ potentially random NPC cuz I hope we ain't alone against 20-30 peoples) we could guard each others flank or even cooperate. Well since it's our first battle together I assume if we decide to play it solo it would make sense tho

I don't believe we aren't alone.

SMH, can't believe Kaija can't take care of her own opponent. Chop, chop, no slacking.

A Snekkja had 20 rowing benches. So that would be roughly 42 people (including a drummer and steersman) so I'd certainly hope we got some npc's helping a bit. We're just named so we're more important.
