Realistic or Modern [Casual] Containment Breach

Remi watched as everything unfolded, staying quiet through most of it and observing. which came to be an advantage since most officers simply overlooked him.
He pulled his hood, which sad lazily on the back of his head, further downward so his face was hidden. Even though he might be mistaken for one of the kids vandalizing that car he'd much rather take that than be recognized as a runaway asset. "We should probably get outta here" he said after awhile, it was starting to get chaotic.

John smiled at the cashier as his first item was being scanned, then switched back to his neutral grumpy expression.
Being happy was exhausting. Ugh.
Just the thought of it drains me.
I hate the sound of my own thoughts.

He glanced at the woman to his left. John got worried when his hand flashed blue, and the woman noticed but pretended not to.

He heard the woman's thoughts for a second.

... allies?

Could it really be? Could this woman desire an alliance with me?

She looked away at this thought and turned an intense, dark red.
A mind reader?
John laughed and winked. This caused her to moan.
He smirked and flushed a little at the effect his ability had.
Irresistible AND seductive. Haha!
He went over and got her full name and phone number

"If you really want this friendship, you could prove useful in the fight. I'll let you know when it's time."
He stepped out of the shop and headed back across the street.

"Hmm" she thought for a second before looking around. "We need to find a place to stay..." she turned on a heel and walked down the street. Making her way down the maze of streets, she wordlessly looked for a suitable place to stay.
"Would you prefer alleyway, park, or abandoned building?" She questioned with a smirk, keeping her voice down.

"Abandoned building?" Xavier shot Jade a sideways look. "Now where would we ever find one of-" They turned the corner, beholding what seemed to be an abandoned police station lurking at the end of the street. Iron bars secured to the smashed-in windows were each bent in a random direction, rust crawling up them, while one of the twin doors that formed the entrance hung limp on one hinge. Obscure images of dark graffiti peppered the crackling paint walls. The place itself seemed to radiate an aura of unsettling nature, the few people on the street made sure their path didn't cross in front of it.
Xavier pointed at it. "That's our ticket."

Everyone Everyone

Xavier prodded the loose door open. "As long as we need to, it seems." The dull concrete corridor within ripped off in two directions past a small waiting room. "Having our own hideout is preferable to being chased around all the time, I'd say." He suppressed a shudder, the air was somehow colder than the crisp winter weather outside. The smell of dust and iron tinted the atmosphere. Xavier experimentally took a right, following the corridor down to a single room at the end. Inside was a row of cell blocks, the prison doors themselves nowhere to be seen. Through each set of iron bars was an unusually immaculate set of beds. "Guess this is where we'll be sleeping." Xavier observed, willing to pick a creepy police station's prison bed to a street alley floor any day.

Jade scratched the back of her head "anyone else realize that we got out of prison. Only to go and stay at a police station?" She looked around, kicking a empty can down the hallway. "My cell back at Xavier's school for gifted youngsters wasn't much more thant this." She looked at one of the cells with a blank expression.

Remi chuckled a little at Jades comments "Least those bastards aren't watching us this time" he offered as he explored further. He was growing quite fond of his new allies a little too quick for his liking. "Got any green left for food?" he shouted from some other room which he decided must've been the break room

Xavier, meanwhile, was rifling through the desk draws in what seemed to be the chief's office. Hearing Remi's voice resound through the doorway, he stuffed a hand into his pocket and examined its contents. A single green note stared back at him as he held it up. "Dollar coffee it is." Xavier grumbled, stuffing the note back into his pocket. Without food, it would take much longer for his more natural strength to return, Xavier could only hope they wouldn't run into any conflict. The sun had set outside, yet miraculously the building had its own flickering supply of electricity to keep itself lit. Sliding shut the cobweb filled drawer, Xavier slipped back out into the hallway to regroup with the others.

"We passed a coffee shop on the way here, I'd say that's out best bet."
He held up the only note of cash he had. "We might have a bit of a capital problem, though." Xavier solemnly pocketed the dough. "Either we can try and get off with what we got, or we -ahem- acquire some more."

"You think the assets are the ones responsible for the downtown pickpocketing epidemic we've been getting phone calls about?"

"Downtown scumbags aren't bright enough to pull off a money disappearing act like that, Lieutenant. Either way, it's not a chance I'm willing to take."

Mr Burke's Technical Lieutenant gave a resolute nod. "In that case," The man scrawled a drawing on a blank blueprint. "I think I have an idea."

Mr Burke beheld his Lieutenant's drawing that he held up so proudly. "A wallet?"

"Not just any wallet, sir, a biometrically sealed wallet. This way, only the owner is capable of opening his or her wallet, and if the design follows my specifications - it'll be uncrackable!"

Mr Burke gave a single nod. "Very well. Begin a marketing campaign for this project as soon as possible. Without cash, we're sure to force the assets out into the open."

Jade held a deadpan look. Scratching her nose before looking between the two of them. She sighed. "Does a woman have do everything around here?" She said taking inventory of herself. She had a knife, 12 dollars the clothes on her back "aaand" she untucked her shirt, revealing the pistol she took earlier tucked into the back of her pants. She took out the magazine and frowned "empty... wait" she pulled back the slide. One in the chamber. She rubbed her face putting her back against the wall as she slid down "fuuuuuuuck meeeee. I've been in some tough situations. But this is up there. Normally I could get a uh... contract for my work or go to one of my stashes. But I have no idea where we are. I don't want to make to much of an impact... we need to become ghosts."

"Honestly We can't risk getting caught because if we've gotta fight for our lives, I don't think one bullet and a blade'll do that much to an entire organization" Remi said with his hands in his pockets. He didn't know what to do so he decided to mention the obvious.

Xavier rubbed his hands together enthusiastically. "Welp, we're gonna need some finance if we want to survive in this concrete maze, so we'll start simple." He nodded toward the gun in Jade's hand. "We'll go rob us a convenience store. That gun might be empty, but an unsuspecting cashier doesn't need to know that, now do they?" The idea was provocative, to say the least, but Xavier was betting on the police being the ones who respond, not the ACP. "Go in, point gun, get money, get out. Worst thing that could happen, a few police officers turn up. We made it past those military guys earlier, I think we've got a chance." Xavier switched glances between them. "Whatcha think?"

John pulled out a shotgun from behind his back, aimed at the clerk and demanded money. "Gimme everything!" He shot the clerk's leg and then put the lights out with his hacking device.
Bags in hand, John ran outside and got in the Chrysler.

"Well, i think we've got a bit of a larger chance than most people" he said with a smirk "y'know.... super powers and all" he still felt a little disadvantaged. His talent wasn't exactly an offensive one, it was useful but to do any real damage he'd need to get in close and that wasn't easy when almost every human in the whole friggen united states had access to a gun. Instead of voicing his concern though he sucked it up and spoke in an arrogant tone "I'm down, it'd gimme a chance to get some action finally"

Jade simply sat quiet, holding out the gin by its barrel. "Here, you guys do that. I'm a woman of refined taste in crime. I'm a subtle girl. I'll stay here and man the fort"

"Refined taste indeed, miss pickpocket." Xavier gave Jade a pointed glance as he took the gun, concealing it under his shirt as he slipped in into his belt. "Looks like it's up to us, Remi. We passed a Seven Eleven down yonder, those places are like mini banks." He gave Jade a mock salute as he held open the crooked door for Remi.

"The Government has declared martial law after what they have described as a terrorist attack on a docking yard earlier today-"
The televised news woman's words became air in Xavier's head as he was next in line at the checkout. The person before him promptly walked out of the store, leaving the place barren of other people.

Noticing he didn't have any items to checkout, the cashier gave Xavier a strange look. "Can I.. help you?"

Xavier realised this was the point in the heist where the criminal would say something badass, but nothing came to mind, so he just withdrew his pistol and pointed it at the clerk.

To his surprise, the cashier just laughed and pulled a shotgun from behind the desk. "You thought a store owner wouldn't be armed in this part of town?"

Somehow the empty pistol felt heavy in Xavier's hand. "Well, there goes that idea." He gave Remi a hopeful look.

Tim kept quiet for a while, mostly due to the fact that he was trying to understand what anything and everything was. Sure he was taught the basics of things, but it wasn't enough. Eventually, after passing by what the others called "police", they reached and old building, much different from the lively ones he had seen before. He also though back to the possibility of reuniting with his brother. It shouldn't be hard to find him. They do look the same after all. He thought this as he walked through the empty halls of the building, until he was brought to reality when the others started talking about money. Assuming they were talking about the green paper, he pulled out three bills labeled with fives. "I've still these three, and they've all got the number five on them. Hey wait a minute... where did everyone go?" Panicking a bit, he searched through a bit until he eventually found Jade. "Jade! Where've the other two go? I can't find them."

Remi grinned slightly as he watched the conversation "You're such a dork" he muttered to Xavier as he walked out the door, then pulled his hood up again and started for the 7/11
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When they got to the place he immediately broke away from his partner in crime and went searching for something to eat. why rob a place of money for food when you could just rob em of food? The red headed boy grabbed a couple bags of chips and started for one of the more secluded parts of the building and began eating. As he was eating he realized their might have been cameras but when he checked he found none. maybe the place wasn't big enough for them? he didn't know but he much less cared, he had food. After he speedily ate one or two bags of chips Remi brushed himself of the crumbs and went to find Xavier.
He didn't say anything, assuming his friend had a plan so Remi decided to be the best soldier he could be and planned to adapt to whatever Xavier went with.
Of course he was extremely disappointed when Xavier unveiled his master plan, which was apparently soiling his pants and holding an empty gun up to the guy behind the counter. Even before the guy pulled out his own firearm, Remi was facepalming.
"Wow... just... wow" he said out loud with a mix of amusment and embarrassment. "You're on your own, man" Remi said as he walked away with his head hanging low, then in an instant the boy changed direction and sprinted for the counter, vaulting over it and simultaneously throwing his feet into the guy's midsection, forcing him to the ground. shit's goin' down now
"Ten points to Remi." Xavier marveled, belting his gun and hopping over the counter. "Now... uh," He stared at the cash register, trying to figure out how to open it. "Never mind." He just hoisted the cash register under an arm and made for the door, pausing to grab a fistful of snack bars on the way.
Outside, everything continued as normal. No police cars skidding to a stop, no SWAT officers surrounding the building, and no one giving the young man with a cash register a second glance. "Huh. Well, not as dramatic as I anticipated.." He muttered, taking a bite from a stolen protein bar. "But the job's done none the less." Xavier tossed the wrapper aside, glad to feel his strength returning a little, before sauntering back down toward their makeshift base of operations.
Back at the abandoned police station, Xavier dropped the register on the receptionist's desk. "Mission accomplished." He exclaimed with mock enthusiasm, beginning to prod at the enigmatic matrix of buttons in an attempt to open it.
Remi hopped back over the counter and smoothed out his clothes before giving the cashier the middle finger and jogging after Xavier. "Kinda disappointing." he said as they walked. "Also what the fuck was that shit?" he asked referring to when Xavier froze.
"Have you even been in a store before?" Remi mused as he sat in a nearby chair
Jade frowned "you took.... the register?" She said monotone. Walking over to them She pulled out her knife and popped it open, counting out the money.
Xavier gave Remi a look. "I'm not a fan of pulling off heists on an empty stomach." He swallowed the remains of his eleventh protein bar. "Anyway - let's discuss payment." Dexterously, Xavier swiped the bills from the cash register, counting them up as he went. Once he tallied them all up, Xavier distributed an even amount of rolled up bills to those present. "Looks like we caught them on a good day, this should last us a few days if we're lucky. Divides nicely too, only one dollar left over." He held up the extra dollar before pocketing it. "Which I'm keeping, as a service fee for hauling the cash register around." It only then occurred to Xavier how exhausted he was - breaking out of prison, running from the police and robbing a 7-11 all while recovering his spent ability seemed to be taking his toll on him. "I- think I'll hit the hay on this one. It's been a weird day, the sooner it's over, the better." He gave a brief wave before following the hallway down to his ripped open cell, the steel framed bed inside had a surprisingly comforting mattress that he more or less passed out on upon contact.
Remi shrugged, dismissing the fact that Xavier would have had five or six holes in that stomach of his if Remi hadn't done anything, but one dollar wasn't enough to get him ruffled up. "I could stay up for days" he said arrogantly as Xavier left. He thought it a little silly of Xavier to trust the people around him so fast as to sleep in their company, afterall it'd been only a few hours since they'd met. "And he took the register.. i would have just taken the money but i was busy cleaning up his mess"
