What happened to your wrist?Du Pain]Hello !
Hahaaha I am back too and my wrist hurts
I'm okay though, I'll be fine tomorrow
Get it checked out please! I speak from personal experience, in my ballet class I fell landing onto my left hand after doing a jump, I didn't think too much of it and danced for another 5 hours and again the next day. It was bothering me for three days and when I finally got it checked out it turned out that my wrist was broken and worsened by not doing anything about it and continuing to use it. It's been three months, three casts, and my wrist still hasn't fully healed yet :IDu Pain] I was in my Muay Thai class (a form of martial arts if anyone wasn't sure) and I had to do these weird push ups on my fist. I felt a crack in my wrist so I stopped doing it, and even though my punching and kicking afterwards was really good, my wrist still hurt :'(
You're a dancer too? How long have you been doing pointe work for? This is my third year out of almost twelve years of dancing, luckily I haven't come across too many problems other than The occasional toenail falling off due to my previous pair being ill fitted . My cousin who is a dancer also has tendinitis on her ankle, she goes to physical therapy, I was curious if you're doing the same.Riversparks said:@Ballerina I can sympathize with that; doing pointe has caused me to injure my ankle and the fact that I have near constant tendinitis doesn't really help.
So I have discovered something about my character that has been stumping me for a bit. So you know how Raven can't touch water without turning into a puff of steam? I have been stuck on figuring out what would she drink instead, because she can't exactly drink water. Any suggestions on what she'd drink instead?
Dead point shoes are the worst, I had to perform in extremely dead pointe shoes about a week ago, not fun.... What kind of shoes do you wear? I have worn Bloch before (and hated it) and this past year I've been wearing Grishkos. Currently sewing Russian Pointes, not exactly excited to break them in...Riversparks said:I've been doing ballet for three years and I will have been doing pointe for a year in August. Recently I have been dancing in dead pointe shoes, but since they were my second pair I didn't know that they were dead, so that really didn't make my ankles any better. My tendinitis isn't all that bad any more, I mostly just feel a slight "ping" in the back of my ankles when I move them. It doesn't hurt, but I can feel it.
Yeah, it's probably best if she drinks olive or vegetable oil. Thanks!
