Camp Halfblood; Search for Salvation - Additional IC

"Wait, doesn't shadow traveling involve, like...darkness? I'm not good in the dark. All about the light, and fire," Sam worried, just barely loud enough for the group to hear. She didn't want to seem like a burden on the group. She shoved her hands into the pockets of her jeans. She hadn't had the best of time in the dark, and shadows really weren't her thing. She was more of a dimly-lit-forges-and-shiny-metal-and-bright-computer-screens kind of gal.

Logan turned his attention towards Sam, he hadn't really thought about Sam being able to do this. Hopefully she would be able to pull through"Well, I'm Sorry but there is no other way to get there except walk and Drake doesn't have enough strength to walk that far. So could you please pull through with this it only take a second just keep you eyes close and you'll be ",Logan told Sam.

Quinn disappeared fairly quickly, with the grace that any child of Hades would have while melting into the shadows. As Kaia watched on, she reflected sadly about what happened at camp and to Chiron. She flinched in surprise as her moment of silence was interrupted by Kosmo, probably attempting to create a conversation to avoid the awkwardness that was silence.

"How many others do you think Quinn'll bring back with her?" Kaia asked, assisting him with his not-too-great try at conversing.

KOSMO

"I dunno..." Kosmo said, tapping his foot impatiently. "Probably a lot... godsIhatecrowds," He replied, the last bit mainly to himself. The nightmare that had happened not too long ago still span around in his mind, fresh as a festering wound. He stuck a hand into the pocket of his hoodie, fingering his earbuds absentmindedly.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm sure I can pull through..." Sam muttered, reaching into her bag for some parts to hold onto, since they always helped her feel better. Child of Hephaestus, obsessed with bits of machines. Surprise. She was also not very happy to be going to meet up with a bunch of other demigods. People, gross. But, she supposed, if she was going to survive this, there was always strength in numbers.

Quinn looks at all them. "Everyone one ready? If not you better be... We're going to move..." She said calmly as the shadows rippled around her form, she put her hand in her pocket and pulled out Happiness, letting her fingers tips curl around the golem carefully. "Here we go..." She said softly as the shadows rose up and enveloped them all, darkness was all around them before they were spit out by Kosmo and Kaia. Quinn seemed to sway a bit but managed to stay standing. "....Kosmo... Give the rest of the water to that guy..." She said while pointing to Drake.

Sam shut her eyes tightly and held on to the parts in her hand as the darkness enveloped them. When they were by Kaia and Kosmo, she peeked an eye open and loosened her grip on the parts. "Oh, well, that wasn't so bad!" she exclaimed, opening both eyes and looking around. Then she noticed Quinn, looking a bit sick. "Well, maybe it was a little bad..." she frowned, "are you okay, Quinn?"

Quinn takes a few deep breaths before managing to steady herself, holding herself quite well. "I don't know... All I can say is a hotel or something unless someone has un apartement..." She muttered, more french slurring out as she shook her head, taking a moment to adjust, especially with all the life forces around her now. "Kosmo here's Happiness back..." She said as she held out her hand for Kosmo to take the golem back.

KOSMO

Kosmo took Happiness out of Quinn's hand, sticking him back into his pocket while eyeing the newcomers. That one girl seemed to have a familiar air to her... had he seen her before? He dismissed it, pulling the water bottle back out from his hoodie pocket and handing it to the one Quinn had earlier gestured to. They all looked pretty rattled up. "Uh... well..." He stumbled over his words as he attempted to greet them and try to be polite, but in the end, his fear of crowds began to etch away at him. "Hi." He managed.

Sam gave a half smile at the boy's awkward greeting. He seemed pretty familiar, almost like... "Hey, are you a Hephaestus kid?" she asked. It would make sense, what with the golems and all. It wasn't like she'd know him even if he was, though; she spent all of her time in the forges and even slept there, and she kept to herself. Most of her siblings didn't even know who she was, except maybe that she was the weird, extremely detached year-round kid that barely left the forges and stayed in the very back making the-Gods-know what. Some people knew her a the technology geek that always got in trouble with Chiron, since technology wasn't allowed; it drew in monsters. "If you are and don't know who I am, don't feel bad. Not many people do."

"No, I think I'm sure I've met you before... you're Sam, right?" Kosmo took a friendly step towards his half-sibling. "I'm another Hephaestus, yeah..." He scratched the back of his head. He knew he'd ran into her at one point or another, right? If he wasn't watching people around camp, he was always in the forges with his golems and talking to them as if they'd reply. It made sense that someone probably would've made some strange comment on his habits, like the some days he'd sleep in the forges. But then again, he usually saw some other Hephaestus kids doing the same.

"Yeah, and you're Kosmo? You've slept nearby my corner in the forges before. I think I made a stupid comment about your golems once," Sam said. She called it "her corner" because it was the place she stayed at the forges. No one really ever went near it because they knew that was her workspace. Kosmo seemed a bit more like her than the other Hephaestus kids; more reserved, hardworking. It was good to know that she wasn't the only more-than-averagely anti-social Hephaestus demigod.

"Yeah..." He grimaces at the memory, using one hand to clutch his side nervously. "But I don't think they're stupid... I've been able to make them smarter and stronger since then..." He sighs, feeling awkward in the situation. He slowly took a step back, trying to meld into the shadows. He stuck the hand that wasn't on his side into a random pocket. Just in time to be stabbed by his golem named Violence. "Ow!!" He shouts, soon blushing in embarrassment. He didn't really feel comfortable right now, like he was being judged. "I'm sorry," He apologizes as a song began to get stuck in his head. He vowed not to sing along with it. Quinn was one person to sing around, but he didn't know if Sam would think he was weird or what. He really kinda wanted a family, and not being made fun of for the rest of his days by his half-sister seemed like a good start. Kosmo felt like he already blew that.

I'm okay, I'm okay, kinda being awkward socially... with the fact, that the girls, don't lose their s*** when they look at me. It's okay, it's okay, that I'm not that good at anything. And I don't, hit the notes, perfectly when I try to sing.

@FandomDork

"Oh, no, sorry I meant--" Sam cringed, "I meant the comment I made was stupid, I think the golems are really cool actually, they're probably way better than the stuff I make." She chewed her sleeve nervously out of habit, staring at her shoes.

"Okay, okay, breathe, stop rambling," she muttered to herself, glancing up at Kosmo awkwardly. "Sorry," she added.
