Question...in Egyptian mythology there's a god for.. pretty much everything. If I happen to have the same power of another god, is that fine? Maybe the god happens to be related to him somehow :/

Yes that is fine, they are different Patheons, In fact I'm almost close to just making this Greek Mythology less confusion.

No, they are just the children of two gods in training. The original gods are going nowhere. I would expect creativity when choosing your character's domain.
