So, Isa's logic and familiarity with ancient runes leads him to discover that the arcane cloud circle is a control panel, the stars are like buttons, and upon close inspection are actually bright mini spell circles of their own. The star Vidya pressed seemed to be a scrying sort of spell that allowed one to look into that golden domed room in Barad Eithel for some reason, and let those in Barad Eithel see through it too, but not the chamber Isa and Vidya were on, but something else. Remembering the room, there were three sources of light, one from the arcane rings, one from the sunlit dome, and another light streaming from whatever allowed Manuel and Theosebia to see through the scrying spell too on their side. The chamber Isa and Vidya are in don't have that kind of light, but the outside does. So perhaps, Manuel and Theosebia were looking out through Malus' eyes.

That same scrying star had more options through its runes, like one that allowed the ones in the gold dome room to hear voices from Malus' chamber, and vice versa, and the option to mute it.

There was another star close to that, that seem to be for opening Malus' eyes windows.

And another star that seemed to be detecting, sensing. It showed the map of Leor in an illusion, but not how they know it now. It was more similar to ancient maps from before the war, before the Badlands came to be. And there were moving stars around it. Isa could tell that one star was in the exact same spot as Malus. So the other stars must be goliaths. Currently, there are three other stars surrounding Barad Eithel just wandering aimlessly many miles away.

Another star opened up a second cloud of arcane circles and symbols, this one much simpler, just an orb, and if touched, the orb illusion would move with the palm, and whenever it moved, the giant clockwork gear in the brain would light up in runes and creak very loudly and shift. Then shift back into place with nothing happening.

Isa quickly understood that something needs to happen with the handles. And he discovered that if the handles are moved before the orb illusion was moved, Malus actually moved in the direction the orb was turned. And crashed into a cliffside. But the chamber they were in only shuddered very little and was mostly very steady. Isa realized that you need two people to control Malus. One on the dais, another on the clockwork gear handles near the brain.

There were many other stars he could experiment with, but their time was running short, and without knowing what was happening outside, those goats could be squished already, though Isa can totally ignore that and continue experimenting.

For skills, you have 12 points to assign between each of them. Because you are at level 1, maximum points you can assign to each is 4. You can gain an extra 2 points by making a skill -2, or two skills -1.

SKILLS :
*Please distribute 12 pts. to the skills below. For starting characters, please distribute up to four points per skill. Maximum skill level = 6. You may also choose to reduce skills up to -2, giving yourself one extra skill point for every one deduction. Maximum extra skill points = 2.
  1. Artisan |Mechromancy machines, forging, counterfeiting, arts, architecture, tailoring, cosmetics, cooking.
  2. Combat |Neutralizing a target, which can be non-lethal, or lethal.
  3. Charm |Persuade, bluff, seduce, trade, sing, instrumental performance, dance, or charming someone by flexing your shiny muscles.
  4. Knowledge |Medicine, alchemy, cook, herbalism, forensics, arcane, enchantment, history, perception, animal handling, navigation, looking for food and shelter in the wilds.
  5. Larceny |Stealth, silent takedown, steal, disable trap or machine, lock-picking.
  6. Survival |Athletics, fortitude, evasion.

MAGIC CLASS:
*Divine or Mechromancy?
For magic class, the Divine class allows you to learn spells by making them up or choosing starting spells which increase in power as your Knowledge skill increases and you only spend manna when you use it. You cannot learn spells from scrolls, and you only have a limited number of spells. The Mechromancy class only allows you to learn spells through scrolls, you cannot make them up, but you can learn an unlimited number of spells. Mechromancers spend manna and alchemicals, which is one of the currency in the game, to cast spells.


ABILITIES:
For abilities, simply go to one of the six spoilers under - Character Backgrounds - and pick 1 spoiler. Inside that spoiler you will find Background Abilities. Pick 1 Background ability. Inside the spoiler is also the Starting Stats of your characters. Just remember that for when you move on to your character's gear over at the Gear tab.

For this part, just copy this and modify accordingly based on your character's starting starts and Knowledge.

For weapons, pick one weapon type below. Feel free to decide the look and name of your weapon. Those who choose "Range" have x6 starting ammunition.
Weapon types are categorized according to effect, instead of form. There can be a sword that is Light, such as a rapier; or a sword that is Ranged, such as a gunsword; or twin swords that are Dual-wielded.
  1. Heavy
    Two-handed
    "Cleave". Once per turn, you can make an area attack with -2 to hit, to damage a number of foes = Combat that are clustered around you. Two-handed.
  2. Light
    +1 crit | One-handed
    Can be "Dual-wielded" when you equip a second light weapon in your off-hand, allowing you to make an extra attack, giving all your attacks -1 hit. No penalty when making only one attack.
  3. Mage
    Attack range: 3 | Spell Casting Range: +2 | One-handed
    Your afflictions penalize targets by an additional -1 and last 1 round longer.
  4. Ranged
    Attack range: 4 | Two handed
    You may use a minor action to "Aim", giving you -1 Toughness, but +2 to hit on your next attack. You have -2 to attack rolls when melee attackers are engaged with you.
Armor: Light Armor, +2 Toughness. Feel free to decide the look and name of your armor.

Your other starting items:

  1. Spellbook and Component Pouch | Only for mechromancers.
  2. Alchemicals
    Go to the ooc thread and roll 1d100.
  3. Metal
    Go to the ooc thread androll 1d100.



INVENTORY:
With your default backpack you have 10 item slots all in all for your inventory.

And then you have 4 starting random items. Go to the cafe and roll 1d20 four times to see what item you got. Check the list for the appropriate item in the Gears tab.



- SPELLS -

There's a lot of starting spells. They are optional, but if you do pick some, you can pick a maximum number of them according you your Starting Stats + Knowledge. If you have problems understanding a spell you are interested in, feel free to tell me which one.
 
So, in Isa's experience, tieflings are partial demons that came from the Blood Moors back when it wasn't tamed by the vampire covens centuries ago. The vampires infused the essence of a demon lord into the bloodline of a handful of their human servants to turn them into soldiers that can stand against the demons and fight them under the sun, and this bloodline has persisted until the tieflings became numerous. They have a mischievous reputation and are mostly treated as outcasts. People regard them with suspicion because they are part demon. Katsuya Katsuya
