To begin, Vinh can carry a calm and amiable manner with him, and in general can make for agreeable company for most people. With time, though, people soon find that he is often on edge, and his mild affect is somewhat forced. After struggling with asthma from a young age, he learned that becoming too excited was a big trigger for his attacks. The one thing he can't keep lidded up, however, is his impatience. If he feels that something is taking too long, Vinh becomes bossy. He doesn't usually hold too high of an opinion of others, either, so even if someone is tackling an issue in a timely manner, he is still liable to trying to shove his way into a project and take over it himself. The positive is that he is very efficient and he has a way with organizing that makes him extremely productive. The downside is that he does not like taking on leadership positions to begin with and his company becomes unpleasant to most.

Vinh's special place is the National Park right off of Route 35, especially at night. If he isn't in Goldenrod or otherwise near, however, most nature trails or otherwise isolated, forested area makes an acceptable substitute.

Vinh was born the middle of three children to a relatively wealthy family. His father works as an executive in Silph Company, and every day takes the magnet train from Goldenrod to Saffron. His mother, on the other hand, is a practicing medium, and has gained enough popularity within her practice that she was able to start her own talk show. Albeit far from famous, within a very niche circle, her children gained an elevated popularity through being featured on her show.

From a young age, Vinh had a sense of wanderlust. However, his parents believed it was too risky for him to embark on a journey at such a young age. With the help of his older sister to corral him, he was never allowed to wander too far from home. Before, he had been attending a private school in Goldenrod for general academics, but as soon as his parents deemed him old enough at the age of eighteen, Vinh signed up for the Pokémon Academy, where he spent the next four years working towards his license and learning ethical battle practices.

Immediately after graduating, he left for a four month tour of Unova, where he began to refine his practice as a trainer and collecting some gym badges. He returned home for a couple of months, then left again for another four month tour, this time to Alola. His visitation, however, was cut short by a nightmare and subsequent, significant loss to another trainer, which punched a hole in his finances. Vinh took this as a sign that he needed to return home and ended his Alolan tour two mouths early. From there, he learned of what had happened in Kanto and what was beginning to spread to Johto, and so joined the rebellion's cause.

Hopes/Goals/Aspirations: Long-term, Vinh wants to travel all of the regions and visit every landmark that he can. While doing this, he would also like to try the Elite Four and similar challenges at some time, and become successful enough as a trainer to be known for it. However, with the looming threat of Team Rocket, he has set every one of his desires aside to join the rebel cause and dismantle their regime, at least until the safety of his friends and family can be secured once more. This has also shifted his desire to be a successful trainer from a want of reputation to a want of protecting.

Species: Toxicroak​

Personality: Toxicroak shares Vinh's expectation of immediate gratification. He is quick to jump into action, though often fails to think through his actions first. This has landed him in trouble on more than a few occasions. In spite of this, Toxicroak seems to never really learn his lesson. With a nearly impenetrable sense of self-confidence, Toxicroak is really flashy. He carries himself with a sense of dignity and carries a swaggering gait.​

Species: Scraggy​

Personality: Scraggy is a bit of a klutz. She becomes easily confused if too many things are happening at once, and in general can sometimes have difficulty concentrating. She gets anxious and somewhat temperamental when rushed to do things. Otherwise she prefers relaxing and exploring, always looking for new things to experience.​

Species: Primeape​

Personality: Primeape suffers a propensity to stress. She is very adamant about structure in her life and adhering to a particular routine. If something goes against her plan or expectations, she will show the volatile temper that so many of her species are known for. Because of this, Primeape is possibly the least adaptable to situations out of everyone on the team.​

The first and most obvious characteristic about Orval that people notice is that he is extremely energetic. Depending on the person, this can either make him seem warm and personable or obnoxious and draining. He has a childish enthusiasm that is borderline inappropriate for his age. While he can sometimes seem oblivious, often touching others without permission, he is easily affected by other people's moods. If someone is feeling down, Orval is the first person to hug them and offer comfort. Beneath his sunny demeanor and unshakable confidence, anyone paying close enough attention can start to get the sense that something is just off about him.

While having no specific location he goes to, in times of distress, orval will try to find the smallest space he can squeeze himself into. This can mean hiding in a cabinet, squeezing himself into a box, or creating any sort of corner for him to ball up in.

Orval was born to an older couple who had thought that they had already had their first and last kid. His mother worked as a nurse in Celadon's Pokécenter while his father had a failing career as a trainer. Perhaps spurred by grief over his eldest son's untimely death, his father had left Orval with his mother at the age of three. His mom, without much free time on her hands, would often leave him in his grandmother's care, who was becoming more forgetful with age. He was signed up for various sports teams during that time which he equally disliked and failed to make very many friends within them.

His father suddenly returned when he was eight years of age, claiming to have a new job as an engineer in Saffron City. Orval had been attending a general academics program, but upon his father returning, was often taken with him to learn the trade of his business. At the age of ten, he had been given his very first Pokémon, a Rattata, and was instructed to train with it.

At the age of sixteen, Orval moved to Lavender Town, where his grandmother had recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. This lasted all of ten months before she was declared dead, the autopsy revealing that she had fallen down the stairs and broke her neck. After that, he moved back in with his parents, though he and his father were always hard at work at his job and very rarely ever home. Following the Rocket takeover and after hearing of a rebellion rising, Orval fled his home to seek them out.

Hopes/Goals/Aspirations: Orval's future is incredibly uncertain for him. He honestly has no idea what to do with his life, and it's a fact that distresses him greatly if he ever thinks about it too much. He doesn't enjoying battling all that much, and nearly every extracurricular activity he has taken up in the past was forced upon him. An ideal situation for him would be one where he is tied down with no obligation to anyone, but it feels like a faraway dream with no clearing starting point. In the mean time, he is enjoying his new practice with a camera and would like to be able to capture photographs from Pokémon contests someday.

Species: Raticate​

Personality: While Raticate can enjoy her small share of mischief alongside her trainer, she is, by default, more on the serious side of things. She is skittish and is easily alarmed by loud sounds and sudden movement. When it comes time to business, however, Raticate takes charge, and will try to intimidate and bully those around her to do what she believes is best.​

Species: Golbat​

Personality: Golbat has a rather flat affect and doesn't seem particularly interested in anything most of the time. Golbat simply tries to follow orders and be as efficient with them as he possibly can. He does have a sense of self-preservation, though, and in less of an act of cowardice and more evaluating his situation, Golbat has no problem abandoning orders as he sees fit. When not being actively engaged in a task, Golbat usually just takes that opportunity to sleep.​

Species: Chandelure​

Personality: Chandelure is characterized as being extremely grave. Those around her find her to be, at best, gloomy, but more often they feel unsettled being around her. She doesn't care for listening to or interacting with others, and with a bold independence, will wander off on her on. Only if she is repeatedly attacked will she go on the offensive. She is relentless when this happens.​

Finn Devitt

Age: 17

Former Rocket Grunt

From Cinnabar Island.

Finn's outfit and attire were simple, and, much like most rocket grunts, predominantly black. His signature jacket, the military style rocket coat, wore the scars of a torn off back patch. He had ripped the red R from it with disgust, and sewn the hole back on his own. It had clearly held an insignia before, though it would take a a very specific knowledge of rocket fashion to recognize it as the former uniform of a grunt.

He retained the passion and fire of a zealot, and found himself still spouting off on Rocket talking points. Very sternly lecturing people on the flaws of gyms and gym leaders, the problem with a league and a champ.

People described him as fiery, enigmatic, and yet likable. For every person who wasn't immediately turned off by his radical ideas, he held a sort of sway, the cult of personality style leadership. In his grunt days he had been a voice utilized by the organization, he had spoken eloquently and with passion at recruiting events. Video of him advocating the Rocket lifestyle existed out there in the world, though he destroyed these files whenever he came across them. A testament to his shame and his foolish naivety.

The Rocket organization had used him. They had used his talent and his drive. He'd never admit it, but he wouldn't rest until he brought the entire organization crashing down. No Champions, no Bosses, no Elite 4, no Rockets. He'd burn it all down.

Finn is aloof when it comes to most of his interpersonal relationships. As a somewhat public figure, he found that rumors about his relationships would blossom and spread regardless of how he acted, so at some point he decided to build into myths rather than fight against them. Notably, a long-standing rumor held that Finn was dating a dozen men and women of various ranks in the Rocket Organization at the same time. In reality, Finn is fairly secretive about his actual habits, though he has learned that he's more likely to get what he wants when he is at least 30% flirting with every single person he knows.


History:
"If you're going to do it, I want you to be the best." His father, former league champ, former Elite 4 member, and finally in the few years before his death, beloved Gym Leader, had told him when he confessed his dream of becoming a Pokemon trainer. For Finn that meant starting as a trainer in his father's gym, following the certified league path. However, after his father's death he found himself stuck as a trainer in the gym. The opportunity to rise in the ranks of trainers there was never given to him. He didn't feel like he was owed opportunities, but he also felt like his striving to prove himself was never acknowledged or recognized. He wanted to be champ in his father's footsteps, but over and over again he would see young trainers challenge the gyms and the league while the powers that be kept him training at his father's gym. He watched true talented trainers, himself included, pass over time and time again when it came to league opportunities, scholarships and traveling invitations.

Eventually, after he had been pushed aside enough times, he left his father's gym, the league entirely, and set out to make his way in the world. His initial time spent defeating Gym Leaders was relatively successful, but it felt empty. He was simply contributing to the system his father had also been a cog within. The system that he had felt stuck within. So he branched out and looked for something different.

He would be the best without the league. He'd help show that the entire system of a league and a certified, board approved-champ was flawed. His talent and his pedigree made him a very tempting target for the Rocket organization, and very quickly he found himself rising quickly within the younger branch of the organization. Quickly forming a small group that earned the nickname "Elite Rocket Club," where he grew particularly fond of Veena, whose own pedigree was almost like a dark mirror to his. She had been born into this organization he now fell deeply for, she had, perhaps, much to teach him about the doctrine, although at times he found himself quoting their manuals and scripts to her. They had quickly formed a tight pair bond, and many in the upper echelon of the Rocket Administration saw them as a natural choice for the top two-person team of the Kanto region. Based on her unending knowledge of the organization and his zealotry, which knew no bounds.

It was about tearing the system down. Replacing the flawed champion system. When he finally figured out that Rocket was about money, control, and stealing Pokemon, it was like a dagger to the heart.

He wondered if his dreams were as ill-fated as his love for the ideals. He wondered what he would do with his life at this point.

Name: Wick
Species: Charmeleon
Wick is tempered in comparison to her trainer. Rarely ever unleashing the full force of her firey abilities. She occasionally acts as a calming force when Finn's anger rises above where she imagines it ought to be. Much more likely to use her claws and slashing attacks than a fully charged flame-thrower. More often than not she would rather Smol handle battling, as she believes the smaller Pokemon needs more experience.

Name: Smol
Species: Sandshrew
Smol was the runt of his litter, and has a fairly potent Napoleon complex. Having learned the vast majority of his slashing attacks from Wick, his motivation comes in no small part from a desire to defeat her in a one-on-one battle. She functions both as his teacher and his number one rival. His own fire and fury fit very well with Finn's battle style.

She has many of the same outfit, but she sometimes switches between skirts and pants. Her outfit would be described as plain, nothing outstanding pops out besides the buttons. She prefers uniformity and an outfit that provides a "boring cover". so with clothing that has dull, cooler colors and no designs provides for clothing to simple cover her. She switches between hiking boots, military boots, and all-black shoes. As for accessories she wears none, and the only bag she has are her pockets. If something does not fit in her pockets or does not have a spot then more than likely she does not need it.

Dull, unenthusiastic, and aloof are great terms to describe Veena. But that would not be capturing her full image since she is also ruthless, passionate in certain areas of her personal life, and determined. She may be a stick in the mud at first introductions but eventually anyone will get to know that she actually has an open mind to change. Although she won't be hesitant to call anyone person's idea stupid or reckless. Veena usually needs a reason to take an action, but once in a while her heart interferes with her decision-making and determines her course of action. Times like this is when she feels internal conflict. She was raised a certain way and retained characteristics of obeying orders, lie to get your way, and do not trust anyone. Veena has followed some of these qualities but she's open to working with others.

Most often she doesn't show much of an expression, which means she can be hard to read on what she is thinking and feeling. This can be a blessing in that others won't pry too much into her business but that also is her curse in that it doesn't allow an opportunity for others to interact with her. She doesn't do this on purpose, rather it is simply how she expresses herself. Veena can however show much expression through her eyes. However certain events can break away at her expressionless state.

Veena's valued place is any place high so a treetop, rooftop, on top of a pole (if she can climb it), hilltop, on top of a car, on top of a box, etc. Essentially anything that can provide her height that can get away from others or that it provides her with a view of a vast expanse of her surroundings.

Veena was born into the Rocket Organization, with both her parents as high-ranking grunts. It was an eventful childhood for Veena. Right at the age when she could go to school her parents sent her off to the Rocket Academy. There she was to train to become an excellent grunt of an established organization. Not knowing anything else she accepted all the beliefs and perspectives they were teaching her. She and peers were isolated from the outside world. They needed to grow into being the perfect henchmen. Right at the start Veena was always a curious child. Learning all the ideals of Team Rocket and the duties they were to perform made her more eager to learn about the organization. But she was always reprimanded whenever she got close to a secret. At a young age though Veena would never realize this, that she was close to stumbling upon future plans of Team Rocket.

A few years have passed and Veena has grown into becoming a potential high-ranking officer like her parents. During her years in the academy she grew close to Finn, an individual who was known for his influential aura. With their differing dynamics, they were perfect in complementing each other's personalities to the point where they were one of the top teams that formed in the organization. She worked hard throughout the academy after she gave up her efforts into diving any deeper into their intel. But just right around the time when she was about to graduate was when the Rocket organization announced their master plan. Veena was one of the few to protest against it, this of course did not bode well with her parents. At that moment when she tried to dissuade the leader was also the moment she lost her parents. They were not killed or anything like that, rather they disowned her and Veena disowned them as well. She felt much anger towards them in how they could be brainwashed by such ideals, and how they were quick to disown her. But what bothered her the most was that she still wanted their acceptance since she loved them so much.

So it wasn't a big surprise that Veena fled from Team Rocket, but it wasn't easy to. The only chance she had was during the time after Rocket had succeeded in their plans to destroy the Champion system and were busy integrating themselves into the Pokemon world. Once she left them, Veena ran off to lands that she heard had rebellion organizations. Throughout her travels she has tried to stop any missions of Team Rocket that she has stumbled upon. Upon exiting the association, Veena lost contact with Finn and to this day continues to wonder about his whereabouts.

Hopes/Goals/Aspirations: Veena wants to see a world of peace once more. She does not agree with Team Rocket's values anymore, not the former ones and not the current ones as well. But the ultimate goal for Veena is to have her family back again. She hopes that once Team Rocket is toppled that they can see the true face of the organization and become their own individuals compared to the piece of the masses that they are now.

Name: Argos
Species: Houndoom
Personality: Loyal, intimidating, and headstrong. Argos will fight till his last breath for Veena. He has a strong bond to his friend and expresses trust issues with strangers and even to people who are close to Veena. Argos may show his teeth to many as a bluff, but he has an excellent feel of judgment for people. Whenever he growls is when he really does not like a person and the aura they give off. Argos has only growled once since he's been with Veena and that was when she was confronting the leader of Team Rocket.
Backstory: Not a native species to the region of Kanto, Argos was a gift to Veena from her uncle who lives in Johto. He formerly worked with an organization that held similar ideals to Team Rocket before they merged together.

Name: Bastet
Species: Persian
Personality: Calculating, sly, and devious. Bastet doesn't express much of a bond to Veena, but the Persian truly cares for the girl. She will jump into a fight when she sees that she is needed, otherwise she will not recklessly confront others. Bastet pays attention to the details of her opponents and has worked with Veena (really taught her) to communicate through signals. Most of the time Veena will listen to Bastet's advice, but at times she will follow her own actions which infuriates the Persian. Whenever Veena does not listen to Bastet is when the Persian attempts to not communicate with her for a week, giving her trainer the cold shoulder.

Pokémon:

Name: Chindi
Species: Gengar
Personality: Prankster, nosy, and kind of a klepto. Chindi doesn't always listen to Veena when it comes to fighting or really in general. He kind of likes doing things his own way or simply wants to have fun and mess around with others. But when he becomes serious he can be scary. Of course when he becomes serious it doesn't last too long. Although he would probably enjoying continuing to frighten others. Chindi is nosy about other's business which is suitable for him considering he can hide within the shadows and listen in onto other's conversations. But what mostly attracts Chindi's attention are shiny or colorful objects. Whenever he sees objects with either or both of those qualities, most of the time he'll take it. So usually he ends up getting punished by Veena, but he continues this bad habit of his. He probably does this as a way to receive her attention.
