Help wanted : Replacements and Rehiring

Hey - so sorry for the delay in responding I've been stuck on my phone and rpnation doesn't notify me that people are posting on here.

Long story short, I've spent the last week trying to set up an insurance claim for my laptop, which suddenly started to malfunction. I've had to reset my laptop, so my priority was to back up any data I had not already done so. After multiple hours worth of calls to the insurance helpline and three trips to my local store, I've managed to get it booked in for repairs (as far as I know, it's getting collected today). Hopefully I get the laptop back (or a voucher to get a replacement) by the 28th of June but knowing my luck it could be later.

Knowing this, I'm going to have to take a step back from the rp If someone else wishes to become GM in my absence, please do so, but I just don't want to be the reason that this rp doesn't continue if I can't write

Hello all. Am probing for interest for a story reboot for former players, new players willing to adopt absentee players' OCs, and perhaps even entirely new OCs.

I have been given permission to GM a reboot of the story linked in the thread by the former GM of : Realistic or Modern - ~ Forever Young: A Youth Club RP | IC ~ (Open)

Story sales pitch

Boy bands move crowds via the airwaves, radical hairstyles perturb the older generations, giant mobile phones give both nuisance and utility, Walkmans are snuck into strict classrooms.

For teens living in the Brittain's Newcastle area, school proved something of a bore and the Byker Grove Youth Club provided avenues to fight boredom in their time off from school.

Youth Leader Geoff (and his trademark moustache) supervise the youth while they utilized 'The Grove's' amenities and attempt to run amok, much to some parental chagrin.

Teens play sports in designated fields, and socialize with friend and stranger alike. There are outside sports areas like a baseball field and indoor games like Foosball tables, a Kitchen to pig out of or even cook, a garden. An adolescent is bound to find at least a little something for them at Byker Grove.

Friendships can be juggled, adults can be sought for wisdom for life's angsty bits, teen drama could unfurl and perhaps even romances can be tackled...

Yours truly has only played the role of GM once before and some time ago. My experience with GMing and BBC code is scant but I endeavor to satisfy.

In a following post, I will list previously established OCs which are semi-reserved for their former players (pending stated reprisal interest). However, there are 3 established characters guaranteed  open to play.

Please consider your schedule and whether you can play said OCs faithfully or not. Continuation of previous story and characterizations is desired, though I am personally at least open to everything starting over more or less from scratch.

Bio (simple) : Born to nominally Catholic Irelanders in the Republic of Ireland, he had mild difficulty making friends because of his perceived femininity and other off-base mannerisms.

Had sometimes bad grades and hated school, bullying (against him) and subsequent fights happened some. Things had gotten worse when the family moved to England and High-school began, having even more of aforementioned issues.

Retreated further into his budding interests, isolating seriously into his niche hobbies and rebelling more fiercely against his parents' wishes.

In an attempt to normalize and get him to make friends more, his parents signed him up for the Byker Grove youth club.


Personality : Self conscious, anxious, lonely. Naturally spontaneous and excitable, but constantly is suppressing it and similar behaviors. A guarded wild/goofiness that you have to peel out of him.

Has a tendency to distance himself and put on a mask of indifference or even unfriendliness for fear of his orientation being outed. Especially around other males.

Has a naive sort of edginess, quick to reject anything or anyone he hears anything negative about. Changes opinions unnervingly easy.


Likes : Anime, Video games, Asian culture, pop culture. Academics. Medieval fantasy.

Dislikes : Agressiveness, adults, systems and figures of authority (school, government, etc). Local religion. Snobbery, pretention, prejudices.

After the transphobia inside of their own household and neighborhood, Cam needed a refuge outside of their own house. After finding the youth club and scraping birthday and lawn mowing money, they registered and came here whenever they could.

They are very shy and introverted, but when you get to know them, Cam will come out of their shell and be nicer.

We can play with reduced character base but if we want the straightest continuance of the old story possible we will probably need a replacement for Luke and/or another OC if we cut out most if not all adults from the rp.

let’s use the same idea but change it a bit, give it some good bumps, and maybe we can get someone to ppay the Kippler characters. If not, choose one of the characters the existing writers have made to kind of be a fill-in. when we get a few more people, lets make the lore, ooc, and cs pages.
