Is coming for you...
PLEASE READ!!! It's important I swear! See? Look! It says important right there!
Important stuff & things:
Rules:
Backstory:
Butterfly Lake is the big lake in the center of a big area where a bunch of dragons, unicorns, and griffons live. Of course, there are the Greats of each species that are in charge of keeping Butterfly Lake "clean"... This of course means making sure that rejects and other creatures don't take over. There of course are other creatures being born or created in Butterfly Lake all the time! But they must be taken care of... The deformed ones, or any who will obviously never survive on their own, are killed off to end their misery. It is the most merciful thing the Greats could do for them. Those who could survive on their own are taken to a sort of Safe Haven deep in the Darkest Forest. From there, they will have to run as far away as they can... The beasts in the forest are bred and raised to kill.
ENOUGH BACKSTORY AND STUFF!!!
Here's a really loose guideline for creature personalities (emphasis on REALLY LOOSE):
Dragons:
Younger dragons are typically more immature or childish than griffons, but adult dragons are very wise and mature. Most dragons have an extreme interest in treasure, and sometimes horde it.
Fire Dragons:
As their name suggests, they are hot-headed. Quick to lose their temper, and are usually either on the highs or lows of emotion. Fire Dragons are very reckless in battles, tending to put most if not all of their power into attacks rather than defense. They get along with Rock and Sky Dragons. They don't get along with Plant of Water Dragons.
Water Dragons:
Water Dragons are much calmer than Fire Dragons. They tend to stay somewhere in the middle of the emotional scale, but are never without emotion! They can be fun to hang around with, and almost instinctively know everything there is to know about the ocean and water. In battles, they tend to plan ahead- using all of the information they have gathered. They get along with all dragons, except for Fire Dragons.
Rock Dragons:
Very brave and bold, Rock Dragons are much desired as guards. While they usually don't fly, and typically don't have a reason to, they can fly very fast and very far if needed. Together, Rock Dragons can deal massive damage. Their rocky bodies forge a strong shield, as well as a powerful weapon. They are, however, quite slow on land. They get along with Plant, Water, and Fire Dragons. They don't get along with Sky Dragons.
Sky Dragons:
Sky Dragons almost resemble birds, with gigantic wings and small back legs. They don't have front legs, so they tend to stick to the sky. They are elegant fliers, and tend to be the "perfectionists" of the dragon kind. They are extremely fast, but can be taken down with just one well-placed blow. Their attacks are weak, but the fastest out of all dragons. They get along with Fire and Water Dragons, but can't stand Rock or Plant Dragons.
Plant Dragons:
Plant dragons are very motherly. They care for sick or injured dragons, griffons, and pretty much anything else they just so happened to find. They make great doctors, and- obviously- parents. In battle, they are the healers, but if absolutely necessary, they will attack with great force. They try to get along with all dragons, but Fire Dragons are much too stubborn for Plant Dragons to deal with.
Other Mythical Creatures:
The other two creatures of Butterfly Lake are the Griffons and Unicorns.
Griffons:
Griffons are pranksters, and enjoy jokes, pranks, and a good laugh. But they can be a bit harsh with their jokes, and don't realize it. They are fast, and powerful. But like sky dragons, just a few good hits could take one down. They tend to push themselves to their absolute limit just to prove they can, and always strive to be the best.
Unicorns:
Much like Sky Dragons, the Unicorns are "perfectionists". They tend to be a bit OCD about just about anything, especially how they look. They are powerful creatures, and tend to use magic rather than other forms of attack in battle. They have a seemingly unlimited source of magic energy, something most other creatures seem not to possess.
Rejects:
They can be any assortment of creatures, so personalities will differ greatly.
Important stuff & things:
Rules:
- Don't kill anybody without prior permission.
- You can have more than one character, but actually put time into developing them. Also, don't make them Mary Sue/Gary Stus. The character limit is 5... for now.
- If you have a character with multiple personalities, they do count as characters.
- Please no sappy backstories... No "Oh their parents are dead and all their family is dead and blah, blah, blah..." If your character was a reject, they are a reject. That's that.
- Respect the other players! This should be a given.
- If somebody is being a total Power Player, tell them nicely! If they don't stop, ignore them. Their magic rainbow unicorn griffon hybrid with time travel powers can be ignored.
- To revive someone, one of your characters must die to replace them. It's only fair. Also, your character can't be revived more than once!
- Don't be rude, unless it's part of your character's personality. But even then, try to keep it to a minimum.
- Relationships are allowed! Just don't get too weird...
- Keep it kid-friendly. It's for the best.
- Keep violence to a minimum. If there's gonna be a gory scene, tone it down a bit.
