[Burn the Witch] [Burn the Witch] Deadly Dealings

Official answer, there are some strange effects on animal ghouls, but they're not really rules that change anything, so just hit me up privately to discuss it if you want an animal ghoul and we can figure out how it'll work.

Will there be any use for my occult skill outside of simple lore? Like negotiating with spirits or even doing simple types of hedge magic like warding?

I'm fine if not, just trying to see what my limits are.

Neat, now to try to dig up hermetic and/or old magic methods that rely more upon ritual over a living person doing the ritual. lol

Well lemme clarify, magic is out of the question. Vampires just don't have the capacity for it, even mortal Sorcerers lose their abilities when they get turned. I was referring more to dealing with ghosts, and other supernaturals, etc.

Ah, oh well. At least I know how to properly bargain then with other supernaturals.

I repeat. Thaumaturgy Yo. Join me in the Depths of my Unholy Blood Magic Lore. *Evil Laughter, Lightning flashes*

Yeah, not a Tremere so don't feel like getting murdered by them for trying to learn it.

I'm considering pitching an Assamite (possibly even an Assamite sorceror if that option is open, honoured ST), but I'm a bit concerned about how much my time would be my own them. Some ways of running Assamites have them on a rather short leash.

You'd definitely need some incredibly good reasons to not A) be hunted down the minute you stepped into the city, B) not be hunted down by the tremere the minute you stepped into the city, and C) a very good reason to even be working with Camarilla.

To be honest, I'm leaning towards a no as it is, two walking masquerade breaches is bad enough to allow, an assamite might just be a little too much.

I took obfuscate for a reason. :P

Plus it actually kinda plays into the fae theme of glamours.

Kiasyd by their very appearance. And you by your very flaws. Withering plants and sapping the life out of people as you walk by is a pretty glaring breach, not to mention causing anyone with the mildest of Faith to spaz out at your presence. There's a reason I tried to talk you out of it.

I don't sap the life out of people by walking by- the Touch of frost is that I kill plants, and I am cold to the Touch.

The Unholy Aura, affects people with True Faith- something I view as, in all honesty, being rare.

Re-Read them, please.

"Plants wither as you approach and die at your touch. Your touch leeches heat from living beings, as though you were made of ice." Normal people don't just cause plants to die and people to get ice cold.

"You radiate palpable evil. Clergy and devout mortals know instinctively that there is something horribly wrong with you and react accordingly." Nothing about True Faith.

Bah. I may change them out, in that case- I seem to have misunderstood them... though I think I'll keep the Unholy Aura- I still don't think many people in the World of Darkness are honestly devout, and I have no reason to visit churches. I always got the impression of the WoD being filled with /even more/ hypocrites than the real one.

Yeah, this is why I tried to avoid stacking more such flaws on mine. I'll be playing invisible man a lot when we aren't around vampires or other supernaturals.

It's a very cynical place, but people do believe. If they didn't, Demon wouldn't have a pot to piss in. You can keep them, just understand there are consequences and while I'm not going to intentionally go out of my way to screw you, these things aren't going to be ignored either.

I'll replace Touch of Frost with something /less/ fuckery, and keep the Unholy Aura.

Is that Acceptable? I didn't realize /just/ how bad they where- I kind of thought that "The Devout" Meant those of True Faith.

True Faith affects all vampires equally (not counting the Baali, of course), there wouldn't really be a place for a flaw that did the same thing.

Figured it let them /sense/ me as /well/ as Cast me out with - oooh! Could I replace touch of frost with the one where Holy Symbols work on me?

Just to drive home the point that my Sire is a /very/ bad person, even If I'm not?

That's someone's clan weakness!? What the fuck! Did /not/ know that... never read in to the Baali. Okay.. Okay.

Deep Sleeper...? Just to keep the points the same so I don't have to screw around with them /again/?

Admittedly also why I figured my guy would make friends with the Nosferatu. If you're gonna be a walking breach, might as well pal around with an entire Camarilla faction that is also.
