Fantasy Brutusque Boarding School

Surprised at suddenly being addressed Dani flinched gaze shooting up to look at the one the spoke. Blinking she slowly did as instructed and found herself slowly calming down. Glancing at the others nervously she shot him a small smile of thanks. Maybe there is hope for a normal life.

With that hopeful thought Dani softly spoke introducing herself as she shyly stared at the floor. She wasn't used to speaking much. "Thank you. My name is Dani."

Thank you. Otto said to Felicia, smiling gratefully to the boy who had offered a rather eye-catching orange notepad. Scribbling on the paper, he wrote another thank you, this time boy who had given it to him, displaying his small, sharp writing as he held out the pad. Having gotten his point across, his shoulders rested level, his face relaxing to it's normally blank expression. He couldn't decide if he was uncomfortable or not to be in a large group of people, already having interacted with two of them, but since all had been kind he felt OK. Otto decided he wouldn't mind being the group's intermediary for the week.

Blending into the wallpaper as people talked once again, he saw a girl having what he assumed to be a panic attack. She had long, fluttery eyelashes and pale skin that was, at the moment, quite red. His eye's drooping slightly, he listened as a boy with silver hair and tanned skin comforted her. He liked his hair. Humans had lots of cool hair. Otto briefly wondered if vampires could have hair of such colours, or if you were born with purple hair. Maybe it was a human thing? Otto was lost to thought once again, turning his head to the side as he stared at the patterned walls. Blue hair would be cool.

The crowd had been tapering off, the students slowly skulking off towards destinations who-cared. Murdoch, for his part, was slightly disappointed that he had not himself been chosen as the ambassador for his clan- was he not charming, interesting, and personable, with scintillating wit and not to mention rare tolerance for humans? And besides, Otto was weird. He was nice enough, in his creepy way, but not exactly the kind of person one puts on the welcoming committee. So, instead of breaking off to do better things, of which he had a wide variety to choose from, he was hanging around by the gate. Not pouting or moping, obviously, just very purposefully existing in that spot. He happened, by sheer coincidence, to be in the humans' direct line of sight. His candle had yet to go out, and he held it at an angle so that the wax dripped onto the pavement. Now and then he would cast their little group furtive glances. Oh how tragically unfair it was to be overlooked.

Eventually, as he watched the awkward proceedings between the humans and their escorts (there seemed to be a good deal of shuffling and glaring, and some sweetheart had given poor Otto a notebook to communicate with them) Murdoch began to feel that he must look rather silly. Here he was, the respectable progeny of the respectable Binghams- pouting, yes! moping, yes! He gave a little sigh. He would have to get all of this foolishness off of his mind immediately. Snuffing out the candle at last, he aimed his feet towards the library. While he waited for the new dorm assignments to be posted, he could catch up on reading that this whole ceremony business had forced him to neglect.

No sooner had he plucked a copy of Candide off the shelf for some light reading, in French of course, as he loathed to read translations when he was proficient enough to avoid it, than did Murdoch notice some bespectacled boy nearby. He was taller than Murdoch was, and more slender, and though he had surely seen the boy in the library before, he did not know his name. They had never struck up conversation. Curiosity got the better of him now. Trying to be surreptitious, he peered over to see what the boy was reading.

Edric fingered the tattered corner of the well worn book and turned to the next page. Usually, he found vampire history to be fascinating, but this author had even managed to make his favorite subject seem as dull as rocks. However, he had to continue wading through this boring muck; it was assigned reading after all. Stifling a yawn, he shifted in his seat and brought his elbow up to lean against the table, resting his chin on his palm. It was then that Edric felt a pair of eyes on him. He glanced up to see a blonde, effeminate looking male peering over, trying to get a good look at the cover of his book. The stranger was trying to be discrete about it, but wasn't succeeding well. Yes, it was definitely a male, despite his shorter stature and his delicate features. Their eyes met for a brief second, but Edric's face remained impassive. He turned back to his book.

"Do you need something?" he asked, smoothing out a page with his pale hands. He wondered if the blonde was somebody in one of his classes, one of those people whose names he never remembered. An even more pressing question: Was he a Lewin? He remembered his father's instructions to establish some friendships with a few Lewin vampires. "You can never have too many connections," he had said. Edric hadn't taken an active stance on pursuing such friendships yet, but he supposed that now would be the time to start.

Of course, if the stranger was from one of the other families, it would be a different matter altogether.

(Late post, below paragraph will explain such)

Elizabeth had woken up. She looked around, she was in the nurse's office on the patient bed. Watching the nurse walk in she gave her the 'Why am I here?' stare. "When I was asked to tend to a student who had ended up injuring herself, I saw you passed out in a hallway. Dod you forcefully drink any blood?" she asked. Elizabeth took a minute to think before nodding. "I was hungry and it eas strictly professional." Elizabeth said as she swung her legs over the bed to the side and got up. She must have missed a good bit of school, if not, then just introductions. Taking time to make sure she was ok, she feel dizzy as new aromas wafted in. It smelled of human. Shaking her head, Elizabeth thanked the nurse before running out. She had to find someone from her family line and get informed on what is going on.

Although she has never met anyone from other family lines, Elizabeth thought it would just be right. Passing by other students, she made her way to a classroom. Maybe a teacher could inform her on the new students, that or face head mistress. As she waved to fellow students or glared at her enemies of who had the best family line she turned to a classroom.

Walking out it a few minutes later she groaned. It was useless, so far the teachers were not informed on humans being near the school. She quietly walked down the hallways of Brutsuque, hoping someone had the brains and IQ to tell her what was going on.

(Hope I entered this rp ok.)

Catching the glance of the dark skinned guy, she panicked a little. Similar to a little girl caught in the act of stealing cookies from the jar, she shifted her gaze elsewhere, her cheeks a little pink and her eyebrows furrowed in a frustrated way. The event made her think of something else, the horrid night of her past popped inside her mind, then and there, she remembered that no human should make her feel panicked or nervous or anything at all. She must contain no such emotions, only rage. As her thoughts regain composure and as her pride overwhelms her mind, she heard a silent thank you echo in the realms of her head.

A small smile formed on Felicia's hostile face as Otto thanked her in his own, mind-to-mind way. This guy seems precious, like a little brother that needs guidance. She's not belittling him or anything like that, okay, but she just really likes his presence, it's the epitome of the word comforting. Felicia then heard a shaky breath coming from the girl with blood red eyes, was she panicking a little? 'Well, she should be.' Felicia thought as she watched the dark skinned guy talk to her, trying to make her calm down. While grunting, she rolled her eyes. Then he introduced himself. Catching her attention, she glimpsed at him at the side of her eyes. 'Clyde? Is that even a name?' She bitterly mocked for her own entertainment, trying to deny the face that she, herself, thought that it suited him quite well. Then the panicky girl introduced herself as well. 'Dani? Maybe a shortcut for another name 0r no?' Hate the humans all she want but she couldn't take away one thing from herself, her curiosity.

And as the moon shine brighter, she remembered the headmistress' words. "Shouldn't we go to the cafeteria by now?" Felicia reminded her fellow guides. She looked at the lady Frasier, who she marks as someone very gorgeous even for a vampire's standard, and Otto, the delightful quiet boy. She then nodded to them, "If it's okay with you two, I'll go first to make sure everything's alright." turning around and giving one last look at the group of humans, she walked away.

Dante was smiling brightly at a thank you in his notebook. The guy was quite cute and friendly. Suddenly it caught Dante's attention that the others have introduced themselves by now, a guy named Clyde and a girl called Dani. "My name's Dante" i said hoping it wasn't too late to introduce myself. A part of the guy felt strange, it was just hard to believe all these faces he'd see on a regular basis, from now on but that wasn't fully what was on his mind. He still didn't know anyone quite well, will they like him? That was his main question.

He wanted to speak with someone but felt quite bothersome. There were quite a few people but approaching them seemed scary and so Dante stood in his spot. A small smile still from being able to help Otto earlier and for the thank you. He let out a yawn and his eyes got heavy, this was already past his usual sleeping habits. Dante wouldn't be surprised if his sleep schedule would get messed up simply from the journey here. How much longer would they have to stand in one spot anyway? He wondered when he heard Felicia ask if they should move to the cafeteria.

He watched her walk away from the group, Not really sure what she would have to check? Didn't school staff arrange and take care of everything? He quickly snapped out of it, it wasn't his business and trying to work anything out required too much energy of him. All he really wished for right now was to sit down, standing made him feel like he would fall over any second from the tiredness. Actually he could sit down right now. Dante sat down on the ground and moved his suitcase so it was almost leaning on him to an extend. It didn't matter what the others thought of him sitting down, he was so tired and sitting safe was better then standing and falling.

Dani flinched as another addressed her, this time it was a girl. Unused to all the attention she flushed casting her gaze to the ground shyly. Remembering the question she shook her head as she answered rambling slightly.

"No. Its just Dani. My mom wanted to name me Denalli but my father wanted to name me Danise. In the end they agreed on Dani."

Irene looked ahead, watching each student go about their business. Some still seemed to send glares her way. Every once in a while she would make eye contact with one of them. Some would look away right away while others matched her emotionless stare, waiting for her to look away first but in the end they did so. She then noticed the other few students introducing themselves. She made a mental note of each other then names. 'Clyde, Dani, Dante.... Clyde, Dani, Dante.' She repeated the names in her mind over and over again. In just a few short moments she had them memorized.

The then heard Felicia mention something about the cafeteria. She wasn't much one for food, but would be more than happy to get anyway from the stares and such. She watched as the red head walked away. After a few seconds, Irene pulled up the handle of her rolling suit case. The female then took off, following the red head, her own pink hair blowing back a bit. It only took a moment for her to catch up with Felicia. Irene looked down at the shorter girl, giving a nod. It was her way of saying to was following whether she liked it or not.

(I'll assume Killian shook Lydia's hand, she hasn't posted yet...)

LYDIA V. FRASIER

She smiled at the blue-eyed girl, and looked to Felicia as she spoke and subsequently left. She next moved to the girl with pink hair and a smell of peppermint, who had introduced herself as Irene. Before managing to extend a hand and greet her, she had managed to move and walk off. She shrugged; no harm done. Instead, she then moved to the boy who had called himself Clyde with blonde hair, whom seemed to her to have a sprinkle of arrogance.. She held her smile and extended a hand to him. "A pleasure to meet you, Clyde, welcome."

Lydia repeated this ritual with the rest of them, making unique comments to each instead of recycling the same line. To Jono, she commented on how he must've missed a lot of sleep on the drive over. To Dani, she gave encouraging words, to Dante, bending down to him, she half-joked about how Brutusque finally had a helpful guy, and so on. When she had finished, she went back to Otto's side, looked at him with a genuine smile for a good moment before turning to address the 5 students. "Really, welcome. It's always nice to see new faces." She looked over her shoulder at the disappearing redhead and.. pink-head. "Suppose we should go after them, but.." She looked at them all again, particularly at the planted Dante and the ever-tired looking Jono, "I think we'd all agree that making it quick would be good. Most of us are missing a few hours of sleep, it looks like."

Lydia smiled at Otto again, looking squarely at him. "Shall we catch up with our escapees and give them a quick tour?"

Clyde wasn’t one to simply look away once he’d made eye contact with someone. He didn’t like the fact of being the submissive one to anybody and wouldn’t mind staring at someone long enough until they were the one to turn away. A smirk came to his face when she turned away and it became a bit wider when he saw the expression on her face. Had he made her uncomfortable. Did he truly have that much of an effect on her. A snicker escaped his lips but he said nothing, continuing to follow after them.

Clyde shoved his hands in his pockets and nodded his head at the teenage girl, even managing to send her a small smile. He nodded his head when she said her name. “Dani…” He mumbled, savoring the taste of it on her lips. He kept to himself, looking away as he looked around before glancing back at the red head once more. He watched as he caught her glance.

He glanced back at her when she spoke of the cafeteria and huffed. What had once been fun had now turned into annoyance and that included hearing the girl speak. Clyde made a mental note to avoid her. It’d be best.

He turned, looking at the one who was now called Dante and nodded his head, repeating his name. “Dante.” He watched Irene scamper off to Felicia and turned away, not really caring as to what it was they were doing. He looked up when the other girl walked over to him. He sent her a small smile, shaking her hand back. “I thank you for the welcome.” He replied before shoving his hands in his pockets once more and listening to everyone around him.

"This is truly a boring time." Leilani sighed, looking up at the ceiling. She'd been walking around by herself through the school trying to keep away from the humans. She like many others were certainly interested but she knew it'd be best if she didn't crowd them. She'd always have time to stare at them all- She had all year.

She glanced into the library but didn't go in. She saw no need. She'd go later when she was growing bored of the book she was currently reading or if she needed a book for class. So whittles could she do? A thought came to her mind and she grinned to herself.

When bored, do as the bored people do- Eat.

A small grin came to her face and she turned around, making her way to the cafeteria.

Otto looked to Lydia as she left, watching as the bubble-gum haired girl trail behind. Shuffling his feet quietly, he looked back to the shrinking group of students left, watching Lydia introduce and chat with each of them kindly, then, before addressing the group as whole, smiling at Otto. He smiled back in his small, close-lipped but sincere way.

"Shall we catch up with our escapees and give them a quick tour?" Lydia asked him now, facing him squarely. Otto nodded, pulling at his scarf, interested in the rest of the tour though he knew the school as well as anybody.

This was rather unfair, Demetrius thought as he begin to slowly walk away from the road, towards a location he was unsure of at the present moment. Stealing a glance towards some of the other vampires that had not been selected, he noticed some of the kids heading towards the school. Though it was a tempting location, he found his attention to be still fixed upon the humans that remained outside, watching their slow movements. He wanted to interact with the humans, despite his dislike for them. He wanted to talk to the humans, see what made them tick. Maybe even get a taste of that forbidden blood.

Why pick them and not me? I'd be the ideal candidate for a welcoming committee.

Demetrius thought grouchily, allowing a heavy sigh to burst from his lips. But the headmistress had never said the rest of the vampire student body couldn't interact with the humans, Demetrius remembered, his lips upturning into a satisfied smile. He sped his pace into a brisk walk, changing direction abruptly to catch up the vampire committee that lingered behind, as well as one other human. Giving the vampires a slight nod as a cordial greeting, he allowed his attention to turn to the truly interesting person, the human boy. Emerald green eyes quietly appraised him for second, before a chuckle was released from his lips. Up close, these humans were just as plain looking as they'd appeared from a distance.

Hands were shoved further into pants pockets as a sigh escaped Clyde's lips. The bag on his shoulder seemed as though it had gotten a bit heavier since they'd walked from the car. The other students around them seemed to stare at them a lot harder than he'd expected. Sure they were new. Hell, Clyde would stare at the new kids at his old school when they came. This however seemed different. They seemed to really stare at them this time and not many of them seemed to be in a nice curious mood either. He'd caught the eyesight of about ten different students and even though he tried to be nice (even smiling though it looked more like a grimace) all but one scowled back.

Turquoise eyes flickered back over to the student guides, watching as they walked ahead. They seemed pretty cool. Lydia seemed to be a nice girl. She hadn't exactly given off any bad vibes. She was certainly more welcoming than Felicia. Otto was a mute he'd come to find and despite that Clyde had a feeling it wouldn't necessarily matter. The guy seemed to know how to get his point across. For now these two would certainly be the two he'd go to for anything. His eyes then flickered over to the new edition of the group. A boy. The chuckle that left his lips weirded Clyde out just a bit. His head tilted to the side just a bit and he watched with caution.

((I apologize for the length. Writing on the phone isn't the best for me xD ))

(I'm posting out of the order, but after this one, I'm going to be back in the posting order. I just needed to post my entrance.)

Startlingly bright, blue eyes watched the other students filter out of the fringes of the road, many still hung up on the fact that humans had 'tainted' their once 'pure' campus. He leaned against the farthest wall from the humans, separated by the new students by the strong scent of other vampires. He knew his will to resist blood was getting stronger and more resilient, but it had been years since he had been in close contact with a human, and he wasn't willing to risk the wrath of the headmistress if he couldn't keep a handle on his hunger while in close contact with their new students. Despite the many harsh whispers he heard, he really didn't understand his schoolmate's hatred for them. Besides the obvious 'they-pushed-us-out-of-their-world' argument, Warren couldn't see what all the fuss was about. They didn't seem remarkable in anyway, or strong. Some were almost as pale as vampires, but there was a flush in their cheeks he rarely saw in others of his kind, and many had skin marred by contact with the sun. What were those dots called, again? Freckles?

They weren't a threat, as far as he was concerned. He could easily beat them out in strength and speed, and that wasn't pride; after all, he wasn't a Lewin, he was a Frasier, and he knew that any other student in the school was capable of the same. Sighing deeply and slouching further into his hood, Warren blew out the candle still aflame in his hand. People passed by, chatting about the humans or some other topic, though the prevalent theme were the mortals in their midst, and he blended into the throng of people. Or, as much as he could blend in; he towered over most, so he tucked his head down so his black hair drifted a little further into his eyes. The smell of vampires drown out most, lingering smells of the humans, but he got a good smell of something vaguely... minty. Like the herbs one of the maids at the villa used to use to make soaps or candles. He didn't know how it would taste in blood, though he'd be lying if he said he wasn't excited to find out.

Over the crowd, far in the front of the swarm, he spotted the recognizable red hair of his cousin leading some of the humans, and though he felt some pity for her, he had sighed in relief when the headmistress had called her name instead of his to represent the Frasiers'. Her temper or sharp tongue weren't anything to scoff at, but he knew she was infinitely more suited to the role of leading the lost lambs around the school their first week than he was. He could barely get a few words out when speaking with most people, much less spend a week with a human with his poor-self control. He hadn't had a lot of contact with either of his cousins, but he knew that Lydia would do well in the job. Pulling his hood off his head, he followed the crowd, his hands shoved deep in his pockets.

Golden corridors and an intricately designed ceiling hallowed over the walking redhead. Above them, hanging lamp-likes chandeliers shone brightly, making the place more exquisite than what is already apparent. Marble floors shone brightly under them. Gold, mahogany brown, and black, the colors of royalty and wealth, displayed in every part of the school. Although Felicia's home was somewhat similar to this, the size of the school is tremendous, and that itself made her a little anxious. She might get lost. She looked behind her to see the others following, which made her slightly relieved. She then turned to the bubblegum haired girl, Irene, who went beside her, accepting her nod. Although she really, really wanted to sneer, she contained it. The smell of blood so close to her made her just nod in response, not wanting to accidentally drink her blood because of frustration. Then her fellow Lewin went next to them, the blonde one with the same sentiments as her upon the humans' arrival. She smiled and nodded, liking his presence.

The long, dreaded hallways made her a little annoyed. Where the hell's that cafeteria again? She scrambled in her mind then as she thought those words, 3 meter high pairs of doors greeted her. There were 3 pairs, exactly, and the doors were designed with patterns infused with gold. Ah, right. She thought as she opened one door, revealing the grandiose of the school's cafeteria. The first thing that came into view was the huge hanging chandelier, designed with glass and candles lit with a white, warm fire. The light illuminated around the room, making the already vast room look bigger, and more luxurious. The round tables were designed with white flowers in a fancy looking pot as centerpiece and red candles. The tables themselves were covered with white cloths and the chairs complemented the vine effect seen on the wall and the ceiling. Hidden lights were seen at the walls, illuminating the shadows created by the centered chandelier. A small stage set for musicians was at the center, making it look rather too fancy for a school cafeteria.

Felicia smiled proudly at what her school can offer. What can someone expect? Vampires are more capable in everything, including architecture and design. She snickered in her mind as she looked for a table with a good location. She then turned to them all, "Go on and take a sit, I'll be asking for them to serve your food." Felicia told them, a little warmer than her introduction earlier. Why? Because now she has a plan. Make the humans feel good, make them feel welcome and accepted, then betray them when she has their full trust. Make them suffer, make their life here worse than what they could ever expected. She turned around to talk to the people in charge of the food, the chefs as well as the waiters. She also turned to the musicians who were resting at the side of the stage, telling them that maybe they could play a few songs for the guests. She maybe only a first year, but she will never, ever let that be an obstacle. Her family is one of the founders of the school, the blood in her veins speaks for itself. She is a Lewin after all. Returning to her group, she smiled a very welcoming smile that they wouldn't expect from the her earlier, yes, her little trap will take place now. "Enjoy yourselves and welcome to Brutusque." And as she spoke those words, music started and their food on their way. Her words and smile may seem warm, but the snicker in her eyes was very apparent.

(I hope it's okay that I initiated stuff ;_; Azalea also posted the pictures so yeahh)

Irene followed in step with Felicia, however, as soon as she received a similar head nod she looked away, ready to take in the next part of the building. She had almost already memorized the decoration on one of the walls where they all had met, but now as they traveled she tilted her head back, staring at the ceiling. It was filled with gold. She was positive it wasn't real gold, but the looks of it was enough to memorize Yuki. As the half-Japanese girl studied the ceiling she could help but make silly faces in the reflection of the gold. A cheek puff here and a tongue stick out there. It was probably the most emotion one would see from Irene all day.

Yuki quickly noticed the the redhead had stopped, causing her to stop as well. She waited patiently with her suitcase by her side as her apparent guide opened the door. As she did so, Irene fell into a shock. Granted, it looked like she was displeased with the way it look, but in all honesty she was in awe. It was like something that came straight out of a movie. Large white cloth covered tabled were scattered around the room, a few students already occupying them. On the center of each table was a candle stick that housed three long, skinny, red candles. Next to that were white poinsettias that gave the table a warm feeling. At this point Yuki noticed the stage. It was small, but on it were 4 music sheet stands. The bubblegum haired girl made a quick mental note to sneak in here one night to play her flute.

Irene was broken from her trance as Felecia started speaking again. When she mentioned sitting Irene quickly took off, not listening to the rest of the little speech she was giving. Irene shrugged off her kindness as fake and just wanted to ignore it. Once you made a first impression on Irene there was next to no way to change it. The girl weaved around a few tables, letting her fingers glide against the wooden frame of the chairs. She then came to a table that didn't seem to have anyone at it. She quickly sat down, expecting the rest of the group to follow. With that Irene laid her head down on her arms which were crossed over each other on the table. Within seconds the girl was asleep. Just a simple shake would wake her up, but falling asleep in random spots is a horrible habit of hers, mainly because she's a night owl and gets on average 3 hours of sleep a night.

Dani continued trailing after the others, now feeling more relaxed. It seems this school isn't full of mean people as she first thought. Wandering into the cafeteria she held back a gasp of aw. It was beautiful! Sitting at the table one of the others sat at she looked around.

So, this is what a rich private school is like, she thought looking at the others, not bad. Not bad at all. Crossing her legs she rested her head in the palm of her left hand and waited to see what would happen. I hope my roommate isn't mean.

Erin H. Frasier

He was there at the gates, watching as the limousine brought the humans to the school. He didn't care one way or the other, though he knew most of his peers did. He knew that many of them hated humans - found them wretched and disposable. He knew most of them found that their only use was for food. Sometimes, he thought the same things. Sometimes he wanted to wipe them all out. Not because they had wronged them, but because they seemed very... inferior.

However, Erin wasn't one to pick a fight. He wouldn't bother them if they didn't bother him. He decided that it would be best to leave them alone and not interact, but as the limo began driving past him, he could smell the sweet and ripe blood inside of their diminutive bodies. He had gained a very sensitive sense of smell from mimicing a blood hound earlier, and hadn't switched the ability to anything else. It made him grip his candle tighter until he crushed the bottom half of the candle in his hands.

He cursed under his breath, throwing the brittle pieces away, but still held the lit portion of the candle, hoping that no one important would be able to spot his mistake.

"I don't want them here." He barely heard Demetrius say, as he was standing on the other side of the path that the limousine had taken. He silently agreed with his vampiric friend. Erin didn't want the humans there any more than anyone else did. He knew how much trouble and drama that would be created just because of the simplicity of their presence. Even thinking about it made Erin's head ache.

When one of each of the families names were called to come forward, his eyes narrowed in distrust. He didn't know much of each of the other families, only that when his father talked about them, it was in distaste and anger. Erin knew better than to judge a book by its cover, but he had never heard a good story about the Lewins or the Binghams. Though, to be fair, they probably didn't get very news about the Frasiers, either.

As he watched Lydia walk forward after being called upon, he couldn't help but notice how very powerful she seemed. Erin could sense that she felt superior, but was tactful enough not to show it. Even Erin could sense the thick dislike the three students had for each other, but out of the three of them, Lydia played it off the best. Just like any Frasier would. He smiled to himself at this thought, not because he was being diminutive, but because so far, all that his father spoke of was proving to be true.

He watched as they talked amongst themselves, shaking hands and trading greetings. Then, when they went their seperate ways, Erin decided to head to the library. If the school was allowing Humans onto their beloved campus, then it was probably a smart idea to read up on the Humans and their history. Fill his thoughts with something other than obvious vampire superiority.

With uncanny accuracy, Murdoch could tell when he was in the presence of a like mind, a respectable mind. Perhaps this extra sense was the result of his good breeding, or merely his psychic abilities. Regardless, nobility always recognized one another. A quick, hardly invasive peek into the young man's head revealed snapshots of thoughts, which at the moment were mostly about Murdoch. Then the smile which had plucked at the corners of his lips faltered. There was no way he could lie about his identity as a Bingham, he had never had practice at lying, but he was at best uninterested in his own kin and had no ally to call his own at this school. After two years, it was beginning to be embarrassing. He was expected to be making inroads for his family.

Clearing his throat, he decided that his best course of action, for now, would be to lie by omission, just to protect against the possibility of immediate rejection. His hair hung down loosely today, and he pushed a lock of it back behind his ear and forced his wan smile to brighten. “Please forgive my rudeness. I wanted to know what you were reading. It struck me, I've seen you here before and never inquired as to what they call you, and as to what brings you to the library so often. I spend a lot of time here, myself. You know, perusing.

With this said, he held up the slim book he had just taken for himself, so that the Lewin boy could see the gold lettering of the title shimmer under the electric lights. “I hope you wouldn't mind parting with the secret of your name,” he added.

((@BlueInPassing I'm awfully sorry for taking so long to respond, I didn't mean to leave you hanging.))

Clyde looked around the halls as they walked in awe at the view that greeted him. It was certainly an eye pleaser- that much he was sure of. Where in the world did a school like this get the money? How long had this school been open? Questions raced through Clyde's mind as he followed the group, ignoring them. After the tour he would certainly find his way to the library. Research on this school was now an absolute must.

The cafeteria was even better looking than the halls. It emitted a small whistle of surprise from the teen as they walked inside. A small scowl came to his face as he heard Felicia speak. The same one that had been all to obvious in her immediate dislike of them all was now playing the 'sweet girl' card. That wasn't going to work. If it did work on someone then they were an absolute idiot and Clyde wouldn't mind informing them of themselves.

He did listen though, opting to sit down at the table Irene- the only new girl here who seemed to have a backbone- sat at. His eyes flickered at the sleeping girl. How did she fall asleep so fast? Choosing to ignore it, his eyes landed on Felicia and stayed. He gave a blank, sort of annoyed look as he stared at her. A smile came to his face as he spoke to her.

"Well aren't you a sweetheart. Just so nice and so kind. How could I ever repay you?" He asked, his voice dripping with sugary sarcasm. With that he sat back, stared at her for a bit more before letting his eyes roam around the room once more.

LEILANI

A small sigh came to her face as she looked into the cafeteria. So that's where they'd taken them? Now she couldn't eat. A small frown came to her face and she huffed, turning around and walking off. Maybe she'd just head to the library. She'd seen a few people headed in that direction. Maybe another Frasier would be in there. A few of her cousins were at the school and aside from Lydia she'd never truly gotten close to them. Now was certainly a good time to start.

She walked through the halls, letting her pinky glide against the wall as she usually did. Boredom was something anyone could see on her face. Maybe she'd see someone else? She wasn't sure. If not she'd go cause some trouble. It had been too long since she had.

Edric looked up from his book again. This stranger had polite mannerisms and held himself with some dignity, befitting of one with good status; definitely not riffraff then. His gaze swept over the gilded title of the thin book that the other held up. Candide. A work written by a human philosopher named Voltaire, was it? It might prove to be an interesting read. He hadn't read any literature written by humans as of yet, with his father's library being entirely devoid of such works. Edric focused on the blonde's facial features, trying to recall if he had seen him around the library but ended up drawing a blank. Anyhow, it was a matter of no consequence; he was usually too absorbed in his studies to pay attention to his surroundings anyway.

He broke out of his thoughts; now he had to extend the same respect. Setting the book down on the table, Edric stood up and hesitantly held out his hand for a handshake. He didn't like touching other people in general, but he especially hated handshakes; the hands were the one of the most germ infested areas of the body. He shuddered slightly at the unpleasant thought of a thousand microorganisms crawling across his skin, but steeled his nerves. It was only proper after all. Forcing his expression into an uncomfortable smile that he hoped to be friendly, he replied, "The name is Edric R. Lewin. It's a pleasure to meet you. And you are...?"

((@jaundice It's all right, don't worry about it.))

The human boy's head tilted to the side ever so slightly, communicating a confusion, as well as a strange sort of caution that brought a smile to Demetrius' lips. He was right to be cautious about him, about all of them. At this school they were nothing better then useless little hunks of meat that would be disposed of in a timely manner, hopefully. But it wouldn't hurt to be decent, would it? Extending his hand in a slight wave, his lips parted in preparation of speech. Then they were moving a little more swiftly, and Demetrius tore his eyes away from the human boy as he picked up the pace, coming to stand near the front of the group. The others examined the school with slight awe, though Demetrius being used to the overly decadent school after attending the school tours about a month ago only pushed ahead of the group, pausing as his eyes fell on an extremely beautiful student. He could tell by her scent that she was a vampire, possibly a Lewin, and allowed his head to dip forward, in a returned nod of acknowledgment and respect.

Then they were entering the cafeteria. The Lewin with the icy cold eyes spoke, telling them to take a seat and Demetrius opted against seating himself. Sitting would imply that he was hungry for the foods they would serve the humans, which he wasn't. It far healthier for vampires to drink blood, not that it wasn't possible for them to eat human food. Human food just wasn't nutritious for them, it did nothing but make them hungrier. Sighing, he allowed a finger to lace about one blond curl as he cast a gaze down the table of humans. One of them, the one with the pink hair and strange eyes was sleeping at the table, and a frown skimmed across the boy's lips. How improper and uncouth were these humans? He shook his head, leaning forward to fasten his slender fingers about her hair, before deciding against that. He shook her slightly, doing it gently to keep himself form hurting the fragile human.

"Sleeping is only permitted in the dorms."

After speaking the sentence, he raised his head in slight surprise as the intercom system went on and the headmistresses velvety soft voice occupied the whole campus. Excitement pricked at the young Lewin as he glanced upwards, towards where he felt the voice was speaking.

"The dorms have been posted in the library, though the orders will be announced here as well. We'll start with the Girl's Dorm's... in dorm 21a, we have Felicia C. Lewins, Elizabeth R Binghamsand, and Irene Yuki Jackson... In dorm 25a, we have Lydia Valentina Frasier, Leilani C. Frasier, and Dani Wilson...."

The dorms for the girls were relayed for at least ten minutes, and Demetrius tapped his fingers against his knee restlessly as he waited for the boy's dorms to be announced. He wasn't sure how he'd feel about being in a dorm with a human. It would be exciting, he knew, to be that close to the blood source, but exhausting as well, to keep his powers from being revealed. The Headmistresses voice slowed to a stop, and Demetrius glanced over at the girls that currently occupied the room to see their reactions to the headmistresses words.

"In the boy's dorms, for dorm 1a, we have Jono Tavas Leigh, Murdoch N. Bingham, and Warren L . Frasier.... For dorm 12a, we have Dante Sears, Otto Frances Bingham, and Graiye Maxwell Arachnid... For dorm 17a, we have Clyde Coit, Edric R. Lewin, and Demetrius B. Lewin."

Felicia eyed the sleeping pink-haired maiden, her left eye twitching a little at both disgust and annoyance. She knew that humans are nothing but filth but to act so rudely even though she's trying to act kind for them? Now that's a brand new level of being dirt. Peasants Felicia grunted in her mind while trying to calm herself down a little. Then the dark skinned guy, Clyde, sat beside Irene, spouting mocking words at her. A pink shade of fury appearing on her ever so pale cheeks while her eyebrows furrowed. She then walked towards him, staring at him straight into the eye, wanting to kick his guts out but maintained her cool. Her hand took the chair beside him, smiling at him with her oh-so-beautiful smile as the humans' food arrived, the waiters setting them up plate by plate. As she laid her elbow on the table and the side of her face on her palm, she whispered (well, more like hissed), "Look, here, punk. Although you very much know that I don't like you, even that girl over there," She shifted her gaze to Irene for a second, "I'm trying to be hospitable here because I'm trying to be at least, a better guide than what I showed you before. So if you want a crappy guide for the rest of the week, go on, continue with that kind of attitude." Her voice cold, yet straight on. She showed no remorse for her words while looking directly at him. She then decided that after this week was done, she'll forever forget this guy ever existed. His existence is not good for her composure as well as her heart, the angrier she get, the worse she feels. Felicia then was about to wake Irene up with equally sharp words when her fellow Lewin beat her to it, well not really with sharp words but yeah. She looked at him, welcoming his presence. And before she could talk to him, the intercom system went on.

"The dorms have been posted in the library, though the orders will be announced here as well. We'll start with the Girl's Dorm's... in dorm 21a, we have Felicia C. Lewins, Elizabeth R Binghams and, and Irene Yuki Jackson... In dorm 25a, we have Lydia Valentina Frasier, Leilani C. Frasier, and Dani Wilson...."

Felicia made a mental face palm, oh god why? She thought as she glanced over at Irene, the girl she disliked the most among the group. Then she realized, Wait, this is an opportunity. The closer she is to her, the more she had time to make her life worse. She nodded a little to herself while a snake-like smile appeared on her beautiful face for a moment. This will be her chance. Then she recalled about her other room mate, Elizabeth, if she could remember clearly, that girl was not around during the humans' arrival. Felicia wondered a little on her whereabouts as the announcement of the boys' dormitory list goes on.

Lewin."

Upon hearing the last name, Felicia then looked at the blond haired guy beside them. "You're Demetrius, right?" She smiled, an honest smile of introduction. "I think my parents have talked a little about you during one of our ball parties. A pleasure to meet you, dear cousin." She stood up from where she sat then curtsied with lady-like finesse, doing what her parents trained her for. "Would you like to join us in our table, Demetrius?" She then smiled before taking the sit she have occupied, beside Clyde, wanting to annoy him more and more by the second. If what he wanted was a battle of mockery and annoyance, then she won't back down even for just this week. After the announcement, the food was ready on their table. Vampires don't really need to eat, that doesn't mean they couldn't, but it just makes their hunger for blood a little worse. The thought of blood suddenly erupted Felicia's mind, a soft and ached moan coming from her lips. "Ugh..." She held her forehead while closing her eyes. She tried to retain her composure, but the smell of fresh human blood so near her didn't help at all. After a few seconds of gasping for control, she straightened her back, looking fine as if nothing happened.

JONO T. LEIGH

The boy paid no mind to the bickering going on about him. He hardly noticed it to begin with. They started moving, and so he followed suit. At times he would look again, but his eyes were glazed and tired, his shoulders slack, and his feet barely parting with the floor. Big double doors opened, and they were all greeted by the brilliant colours and styles of wealth, prestige, reputation and probably a lot of old money. Jono was caught in awe for the moments the group spent walking down the halls. It went by in the blink of an eye. Another doorway opened, and before them lay a restaurant, short of being a business. The boy wasn't particularly in favour of or against the cafeteria, despite his mood he remained incredibly neutral about it. He didn't much care for or about it.

'Take a seat' were the words from the bright red-haired girl. The one who seemed grating before, and was becoming nicer by the minute. Everyone was being fairly quiet at the moment, though he could sense sparks of hostility to which he paid no mind whatsoever. Jono let out a long, depressed sigh and took a table away from the group. He sat in the center chair of a long end of the table, slumped, and stared at the tablecloth before him. He didn't much like the flower pot hogging the table space, and the candles looked gaudy in their stand.

"Well aren't you a sweetheart. Just so nice and so kind. How could I ever repay you?" Were the words from the white-haired, dark-skinned guy. Clyde, by the table next to the group. Jono groaned softly; insults would only result in more noise, something that was reinforced by the musicians on stage. A weak, helpless whimper of despair escaped his throat, and he shrunk into himself a little. He wanted to go to sleep. There was far too much noise, he was far too tired and all he wanted was to sleep. Just sleep. His eyes began to water slightly out of both tiredness and misery, and he lowered his head further and angled it so his face was as hidden as it discretely could be from the group of people.

The intercom went on, and another whimper escaped. So much noise.. He ignored the smooth voice as the girls' were read out. He listened only for his name and room number when it came to the boys. Jono Tavas Leigh, 12a. Even though he made no effort towards it, the names Murdoch and Warren settled into the back of his mind. He decided he would go straight to finding his dorm once all signs of his currently watery eyes had dissipated.

LYDIA V. FRASIER

She let Felicia take the lead. She seemed to be wanting to make a point of redeeming herself from her rudeness somehow, and Lydia was amused by her efforts. Clyde was definitely getting it, and she smirked inwardly at the situation. Tensions already rising from the humans, and they weren't even half an hour into being on school grounds. Her amusement faded mildly as they entered the school's building itself. Some of the decorational and design decisions left something to be desired, in Lydia's eye. The halls were not so bad, elegant with an air of power. The cafeteria was probably her least favourite room.

Felicia opened one of the three sets of doors, and before them lay the area of Lydia's loathing. The redheaded girl stood to the side, allowing their guests entry before her into the cafeteria, smiling at each as they passed. She made sure to be the last one in, and she rolled her eyes at the sickening lack of style and sheer drabbery of the place. Why so much white? It looked distastefully clean, like one of those human hospitals. Surely some colour other than those dreadfully red candlesticks and the poor attempt of a flower pot on each table couldn't hurt. A shudder escaped her, and she turned her eyes from criticising it endlessly to the group she was to be touring. Their resident Lewin had already taken care of everything; if Lydia tried to reiterate anything Felicia had done or said, any of the more socially aware around might pick it out as desperation to hold her footing. She shrugged it off and chose not to do anything in particular but continue her play of the girl they would want to come to. Most of their impressions of her would be shady at best soon enough, why not enjoy the kind popularity it while it lasted?

Lydia joined the group as they drifted near to a table, some congregating in the seats of it, and it was them that she joined. She sat opposite most of them so she would be faced straight-on, and she smiled at them while she got comfortable. Her back was straight and her shoulders back, her chin up yet with lack of arrogance. She noticed Leilani poke her head through the door to scan the cafeteria. Lydia smiled at her sister, though she didn't believe she was noticed. No matter, she was entertained enough as it was. "Well aren't you a sweetheart. Just so nice and so kind. How could I ever repay you?" The girl had to retain a burst of a giggle that pried at her lungs. How delightful! They had begun really paving the way for her mischief and she needn't even ask! If others joined in, she could even turn it into a game with Leilani. Oh, this year would be fun.

Lydia could hear Felicia's hissing directed at Clyde. She smiled inwardly. The freshman Lewin sounded just like she should; a freshman Lewin. She expected nothing more than for the other redhead to sound like the young teenaged girl that she was. Lydia had to restrain herself from rolling her eyes lightly, and instead looked evenly at the students currently at the table. She chose to neglect looking at the other Lewin, not part of the welcoming committee, who was trying to wake up Miss Bubblegum. "Ah, surely a catnap can't hurt. The poor girl's missed hours of sleep as it is." Giving a nod towards the other human students, she added a light hand gesture to add to the effect. "I'm surprised all the other's haven't collapsed by now." Lydia finished on a cold smile, and as Felicia had drifted off she looked to the human she was beginning to respect most. "So, what do you think of the school so far?" She asked, turning her smile to a marginally warmer, more sociable temperature towards Clyde Coit.

A crackle buzzed the air preceding a quiet click, signalling a badly timed question. The Boar's velvety voice that oozed the militarism behind the microphone floated around the school. The dorms arrangements. Lydia listened eagerly. "...in dorm 21a, we have Felicia C. Lewins, Elizabeth R Bingham, and Irene Yuki Jackson." Once more, Lydia had to retain a cackle. So evil, but so wonderfully good, she thought. Her warm smile turned into a grin for a few short moments. "In dorm 25a, we have Lydia Valentina Frasier, Leilani C. Frasier, and Dani Wilson." Leilani! She thought excitedly. Her closest kin and friend. How simple it was going to be to come up with ideas for fun and games if they were in the same dorm. And Dani.. Lydia looked to the quiet strawberry blonde human girl of their group. Was it that Dani? She didn't remember if the girl mentioned her surname. The redhead held her gaze to watch for the girl's reaction to her name being listed.
