The school as well as its large campus was hooded by a blanket of darkness, lit only slightly by the large silver disc that shone overhead, the moon. Many students, almost the whole school stood on either side of the long winding road that led up to the school. They stood there, watching the single, long black car that contained the first humans to ever breach their school grounds drive down the narrow road behind the iron gates that had long since enclosed the school from prying eyes. Although this was supposed to be a welcoming ceremony, celebratory smiles were far from present on the current student's faces, only expressions of grim distaste. Although this was only six students out of the school's surprisingly small student population of 600, this was still a lot to accept for some, the arrival of a threat to what had once been their safe haven. Within each of the students hands lay a small candle, lighting a hopeful beam of light. The car paused before the school's iron gates, waiting.

The rusty gates were parted with a creak of metal against pavement, as the car begin the ascent down the school's dimly lit campus. Behind the car, the gates closed with another deafening creak as the car begin its long ascent down the campus road that would lead the human's to the legendary school of Brutusque itself. The sleek black limo the human students sat in was no doubt a luxurious one. The carpet underneath their feet was a light brown color that accented the limos gold and red walls. A fridge sat across from the seat area, accompanied by a long gold counter upon which a tin full of cookies sat. But being packed in beside complete strangers with only a black-and-white television and out-of-date magazines from the early 1900's to entertain them was an understandably awkward situation, even for the most extroverted of human beings.

After the 10 hour journey, most were understandably fatigued. But the car was beginning to slow to a stop in front of the school's mighty black doors, the glares of the student body through the black-tinted windows becoming more and more defined. Along the dark road amongst many of the other students, a boy with blond hair and piercing green eyes stood, holding his candle between his fists, allowing the flame to dart between his hands. It was an unconscious gesture, but it did generate a few glares from the other students, as they had been instructed to keep from using their powers around the humans by the headmistress herself, Vivienne Bahr, though the students merely referred to her as 'the boar' behind her back.

Despite the rather offensive nickname the students had bestowed upon her, everyone knew better than to test the headmistress. Her words were law, at least in the school. Fury cooked at his emerald eyes, lighting them up with a slight red glow.

"I
don't want them here."

Demetrius muttered the words underneath his breath, but they were still audible to the keen hearing of the other students. A soft moan of indistinct annoyance tilted his lips downwards, the beginnings of a flame begin to form within his palm. What stopped him from hurling a fireball right at this car, destroying any chance of the human threat pervading their pure school? Humans were a savage parasitic species, and they always would be. They killed each other, they killed other species; what would stop them from killing the vampires as well? The flame vanished from his palm as the doors to the school slowly creaked open, revealing a tall dark-haired woman. Her face was stern, her lips pulled upwards in a cruel smile that didn't reach her eyes as she held up a hand in a slight wave. This was Vivienne Bahr, the headmistress herself.

“Welcome.”

She whispered the words, but for some reason they still seemed to echo about the campus, touching everyone’s ears. The door to the car opened, and Demetrius couldn't help but hold his breath slightly as the figure of the driver opened the door for the students, helping them out of the vehicle. He hadn't seen humans in a long time, not since the 100 year war that had resulted in the separation. They looked surprisingly… Normal? Though the humans didn't have the vampire’s chiseled and almost unnatural good-looks, he supposed they were only weaker looking in terms of appearance. He watched as the driver clambered towards the trunk of the car, pulling the thing open easily and removing the student’s luggage with a barely audible grunt.

Rage. That's what she felt, rage. Felicia stood amongst the hundreds of students waiting for the arrival of the first human beings in Brutusque. She may be new to the school but she shared the feelings of disdain among the other students. Holding her share of candle under the light of the moon, her crystallized pair of alluring eyes watched every movement of every matter in her surroundings, yet concentrated on only one thing, the limousine arriving through their cricked gate. In that forsaken vehicle were the beings she loathed, and the darker corner of her minds subtly whispered to her that this was her chance, she can easily attack that car and kill those humans limb by limb. Yes, she may get into trouble, but that trouble won't suffice to the feelings of revenge.

"I don't want them here."

These words shook Felicia's mind and reminded her that she was part of the older family of vampires, the Lewin. They have a name to uphold and a daughter of them rampaging because of just a few inferior human beings would not look good on their prestigious record. She looked at the guy who spoke those words and saw his rage emitting from his hands, a ready-to-burst kindle of flame. Her eyes widened a little, an element wielder.
'He must be a Lewin...' She thought as she eyed the young boy. Her parents have always secluded her and her little brother from their relatives and only holds parties once in a blue moon, so she wasn't close to any other Lewins. A small smirk formed on her lips as she shifted her glance at the now opening limousine door. 'At least I'm not the only one who hates them. Maybe it runs in the blood.' A small, silent giggle emerged from her lips because of her own inside joke. As she shook back into reality, she stared at the beings coming out of the vehicles. Vampires and humans aren't that different visually, but she knows how different they can be in terms of strength and speed. And she believes, trusting all of her knowledge, that the hearts of humans are as dirty as filth. Her nose slightly crunched up in disgusts as the presence of the vile creatures appear before them.

And as they stood there, flashbacks of that wretched night crossed Felicia's mind. She slightly damaged her fragile candle, only to regain her control. The feelings of revenge resurfaced as she remembered her brother's innocent face being taken away. But right now wasn't the right time for such an act, she must have a plan, a strategy. Will she have her revenge physically? Mentally? Emotionally? All the possibilities of torture made her shiver in glee. But she needs an ally., though, someone to side with. She needs someone who equally hates them as she does. She glances at the blond Lewin and her fellow vampire students then silently laughs, "I guess it won't be too hard, huh?" She told herself as a subtle smirk appeared once more.

Irene, or as she prefers, Yuki, stood outside her house. Her parents stood on the step in front of her, a great distance between the couple. "Be safe Irene. And don't make a fool out of our name. It's a very prestigious school." Irene looked at her father, her face showing nothing as she gave a slight nod in his direction. Her mother furrowed her eyebrows slightly, looking at her husband. She then clicked her tongue and step forward, wrapping her arms around her daughter. "Yuki, Musume... Do not worry about your father. He is oto strict. You just fun. Yes?" Her mother spoke in broken English, her father not liking when the mother and daughter spoke in Japanese towards each other. Irene just gave a small smile and bowed, heading out towards the limo that was waiting to pick her up.

It had been a few hours now and there was more people in the car. Irene just carefully watched, studying each and everyone of them from the corner of her eye. It appeared as though she was just looking out the window, when in fact she was making mental notes of each person's behavior. After a while though she got bored. The pink haired girl stood up, making her way to the fridge and pulling out a a bottle of water before retreating back to her seat. She finished off the liquid quickly, resting her head against the window, slowly falling asleep.

"We're here." The driver of the limo spoke, causing Yuki to jolt awake from her nap. The girl rubbed at her eyes before peering out the window once again, noticing that it was dark. Irene blinked slightly, watching the building get closer and closer as they drove up the campus. The limo came to a stop. The door of the limo opened, the driver slightly bowing. Irene blinked a few times, stepping out into the dark. The school was large and Victorian looking. It seemed like it came straight out of the movie Dracula. Yuki walked to the back of the limo, grabbing her suit case.

In front of her almost 600 gorgeous people stood before her. Most seemed to be glaring at her. Irene's heart seemed to drop to her stomach, feeling like this was her old school all over again. Irene quickly looked away, staring at a wall. She decided right then and there that she just wouldn't talk. That she would keep to herself and just focus on her studies.

This wasn't how he expected it, a long tiring drive among strangers then again they were probably thinking the same things right now but that was just his assumption. He kept himself quiet for the whole journey to not disturb the others that were in the car but also to calm his mind a bit. New schools have always been nerve wrecking no matter where it was. The thought of how big the school campus could be, the teachers there and most of all the students. There are some terrible schools out there that have just as bad if not worse students making up the majority of them and that was one of the reasons Dante was here to begin with.

He sat there with one of his favorite hoodies on that was red in color and covered the pink shirt he wore underneath. The hoodie sleeves rolled up to his elbows and the pink shirt only slightly making itself visible near the bottom of the hoodie. Finally the car journey was coming to an end, it was about time to get up off his feet as he could swear that they were as dead as a stick is a inanimate object. Not to mention all this sitting was starting to get tiring in it's own way especially surrounded by the strangers you will be attending this school with. Surely it had some good points to the idea like getting all the students here on time however it didn't make for the best experience in his opinion.

'Freedom' he thought as finally they were able to get out of the car. He made his way out of the car at least feeling the air rush thought his light brown hair slightly one of his favorite feelings.

All the students among the road was a clever idea, the number of students on the other hand was slightly shocking. He was aware of how big the school was but the number of people in person did scare quite a bit. Like standing infront of a audience ready to preform a play, you picture it as a small audience or a barely visible one but then when you see them all with your own eyes it somehow feels like more.

Dante looked around for his luggage and to him it wasn't that hard to spot. A red suitcase with a large white star design on it was all he really brought with him, it surely wasn't a great deal but it was all he really needed and if anything else where to be needed like decorations or other bits and pieces to bring his room to life or possibly work could be all handmade or sent over. That is if things from parents were allowed to be sent over although he didn't see a reason why this would be not allowed. He had grabbed his suitcase and looked around him at all the faces that he would be seeing on a regular basis from now on.

Why is the sky blue? Dani absently thought as she lazily leant against the porch piller and stared up at the sky. The blue, blue sky. She was waiting for the car the school was sending to pick her up, but being alone with nothing to do as she waited had soon caused her to become bored. Which in turn led her to her current situation. Pondering the reason behind the color of the sky. I mean isn't there any other color it could be? Like pink or purple? Maybe it has something to do with science. If so hopefully they learn how to change the color.

The sound of crunching gravel snapped her out of her thoughts and she hurriedly scrambled from her perch on the porch railing so she was facing the direction the sound came from and found herself staring at a black limousine. Fancy. Grabbing her small suitcase and book bag the short haired girl hopped down the steps and slowly walked to the limousine as her nervousness from when she first heard of thus school came rushing back. What if they don't like me? What if I get kicked out? What would I do then?

Yet, regardless of her worries she soon found herself sitting in the car nervously chewing on her bottom lip as she observed the other kids already there. None of them spoke and though on some regards that made Dani relax the fact also made her tense. The silence seemed to weigh down the air and suffocate the already nervous girl. In order to distract herself Dani curled up in her seat and placed her forehead against the cool window. Closing her eyes she attempted to reassure herself. It's going to be OK. It's a prestigious school and who knows Maybe the kids there would be to stuck up to resort to bullying.

She continued doing this until her heart slowed back to It's steady beat and her lungs quit dancing wildly. Breathing a sigh of relief she finally pulled away from the window and carefully keeping her eyes from straying to the others removed her book from her bookbag. She was going to read and distract herself from the tense mood. Hopefully they get there Soon so I can get out of this car.

It was with a mixture of relief and anxiety that Dani climbed out of the car when they finally arrived. Spotting the enormous schools that seemed to come out of some vampire movie Dani had to bite back a gasp. It was beautiful despite the dark air that hung around it. Gathering her suitcase she thought to herself. If this is where I will be spending the rest of the year at least I will have plenty to explore so I won't get bored.

The gates open and hundreds of eyes were staring at her. Few were friendly. Heart dropping to her stomach as she was starkly reminded if her old school Dani looked down at the ground to get away from the stares. I hadn't expected a warm welcome but this is even worse then I suspected. Her hands tightened on the handle to her suitcase at the thought. I hope no one tries to hurt me. I will just do what I did in my old school. Stay in the background and pray not to be noticed.

Long, lanky fingers run through white hair as a sigh escapes the lips of the teen. This teen is none other than Clyde Coit. His green eyes flicker between the faces of the others- They were freshmen too right?- sitting around him. Questions race through his mind as he looks around the limo. Was this how they were all transported? All freshmen? What kind of school had the money to drive their freshmen to the campus in a limo.

‘This one obviously.’ Clyde snorts to himself. Everyone in the long vehicle is so quiet and awkward. It annoys him. Why can’t one of them just talk? He know he tried at one point and got at least one or two replies but that was it. For the most part they seemed to all just sit in silence. Were they not ‘social butterflies’? Clyde had thought at least one of them would be. After about the third hour he stopped trying to have a conversation and plugged himself into his phone. The rest of the ride was spent fidgeting and twitching in annoyance. He was finally happy when they got to the school.

He all but leaped out of the door when they finally reached the school. His eyes widened in surprise at the sight of the students standing outside. Was this a part of the freshmen treatment too? Man this school was weird. Truly weird. He stared at a few of them, his eyes slowly moving left and right to remember their faces though he knew he wouldn’t. Not that he cared if he remembered them or not. He wasn’t here to make friends. He was there to get an education so he could get a better job and that was that. Nothing more- nothing less.

He grabbed his luggage, which happened to be two large duffle bags. He put one strap on his shoulder and picked the other one up, lifting it up experimentally as though he didn’t know how much it weighed already. It was really something he did out of boredom and nervousness. He saw the older woman and knew she was the reason they were here. He stood straight, his eyes now on her instead of the other students.

“They’re here…” A soft, mischievous voice whispered. The words floated through the air and a small smirk came to the face of the teen- Leilani Frasier who’d spoken it. She crossed her arms, letting one hand reach her hair and run her fingertips through the ends as she stared at the limo. Humans. These new freshmen were all humans. Nothing special. ‘So why are they here again? What is the point to this?’

She didn’t remember and to be honest she didn’t truly care. But they’d have something she wanted. Their blood. Oh that sweet, succulent blood. Leilani knew she’d enjoy drinking it. But alas, she knew it wouldn’t be allowed yet she didn’t care.

When Leilani found something she wanted to do, she would do it. No matter what trouble it would cause.

Her head turned when she heard Demetrius speak, a small frown on her face. So he didn’t want them here. Well, it wasn’t much of a surprise to her. A good majority if not all of them wanted the humans gone. They were little parasites anyway. They weren’t strong like them. They didn’t have powers. They died. What fun was that?

“You’re not the only one Demetrius…” She mumbled. “Yet while you along with the rest of the school repel them I’m going to have my fun.” She could already feel the power in her flaring up as she studied each and every face of the human. Mimicking them would be absolutely fun. The drama she could create between them and the other vampires. Nonstop entertainment. She was ready for it.

She turned, looking at the students standing beside her though her dark eyes were on the lookout for one student in particular. “Lydia…"

There were very few bodies in the crowd of vampires around him that were not tense practically to the point of snapping. Murdoch, by comparison, was relaxed. It was hardly more than a handful of humans who approached the gate and entered their hallowed school. How much harm could a bunch of children really do? Still, whether or not he thought it was deserved, he could not deny that the air around him was thick with hostility; he didn't have to be a telepath to be able to sense that. When he did open up his channel to the minds of the vampires around him, it was like trying to listen to three operas at once, all being performed out of tune. Everyone was too emotional, causing a cacophony of thought. How off-putting.

He hadn't seen a human up close in a couple years, not since he began coming to Brutusque and ceased to have need of his tutors. Unlike many of his relatives and compatriots here at the school, Murdoch had little resentment towards humans. It wasn't their fault they were so dull and stupid and savage. In a way, he almost pitied them. The only advantage their species had ever had over his was sheer numbers, and here at school, where they were outnumbered literally a hundred to one, they posed no threat. He supposed that some other vampires thought they were more 'principled' or something, when it came to their loathing of humans.

Closing his eyes serenely and cutting off his open channel to return silence to his mind, he cupped his fingers around the candle flame. He didn't allow his skin close enough to burn- he would hate to mar his perfect hands- but just enough that the heat was a bit painful. Let the humans come. It would make for handsome entertainment, at the very least.

He opened one eye, though, at the sound of some other students muttering to themselves about a row down. Peering over, he caught moving the lips of some petite redhead in the class under him, or maybe the class below that. From her sour expression, he assumed she had to be one of those uncouth Lewinses. Then another one spoke, just as softly, a Frasier from his own class. Honestly, what did they think they would accomplish by acting like such utter children? If any harm came to these humans while they were here, he knew, the school would be investigated viciously by human authorities. And in the end, who wanted that? The state of the noble vampire, he bemoaned inside is own mind, had far fallen over the years.

“Come now,” he whispered in his affected accent, “must you all be so petty? Look at the scrumptious little things. Couldn't hurt a fly, not a one of them.”

Otto slipped his long pale fingers in and out of the candles flame, his head cocked to the side. He hadn't listened to much of the speech given by Ms. Bahr, but he knew humans were to arrive and they were supposed to be welcoming. One didn't have to listen to the muttered comments of resentment or the mutual glances of hatred towards the pervading force shared among the students as they waited with the silly candles. It was a nice touch. Melodramatic and slightly haunting, yeah, but he was sure the candles wouldn't be the first of the eeriness the humans would encounter. He couldn't imagine how they'd react to the entire student body being allergic to the sun.

As the limo pulled up, he felt the air tense and the minds flurry with anticipation and, for some, rage. The limo was ironic, like a cattle trailer being led to the slaughterhouse. They were, after all, livestock. They certainly weren't here because they were smart, which he was sure what many of them fancied coming to a school of this stature. And while most, if not all, of the school hated the idea, Otto was curious. They may simply be very self aware foodstuffs, but he had never seen one before. He watched with heavy lidded eyes as they emerged from the car, swaying gently with his flickering candle.

Just a reminder, this is the dude that switches between joyous and depressed. He's not this down all the time.

woohoo~

JONO T. LEIGH

Jono sighed, with effort, as he pulled the last of his bags out the door. It was only the second bag, in reality, but the effort was humongous. Not that they were particularly heavy or hard-handling. Simply the pure effort of movement... he sighed again, and dropped to the ground, legs in front of him, slouched over. His mother came out and kissed him on top of the head, he looked up and gave a brief smile with minimal eye contact as she said her encouragements. She turned, went back inside, and Jono merely stared ahead.

Eventually a limousine pulled up, and inside his head he groaned weakly. So fancy, such a prestige to flap about and prance and strut. He sighed, picked up his bags with an effort-full heave, and carried them to the boot of the car. From there the driver insistently took them, at which he simply gave a brief smile, barely audible words of gratitude, and he stood awkwardly by the doors as he waited. The window were tinted black, and so he didn't know which door was best to open, which seats were taken... If he picked a random one, he could simply end up embarrassed, so he waited. Sure enough the driver selected for him a door, and he scooted in and found a seat. He no more than glanced at his new peers, the few that were so far present, and took to staring ahead absently with a slouched posture.

A ten and a half hour drive of resistant silence later, the sky was dark and the surroundings oddly darker so. The silent rolling black limousine purred at a whisper as it cruised through the blackened iron gates, strangely Gothic for such a 'high' school. pun absolutely intended. The atmosphere didn't much help his mood, nor the surrounding 600 students standing in the dark holding candles, staring at the luxury vehicle as it approached, passed, and moved on. He shuddered briefly, meeting the eyes of an unknowing student through the dark windows. He could almost feel the unwarranted malice, and wondered how students could perform well here if this was the environment.

The limousine pulled up around the drive, before the imposing doors. Jono hardly acknowledged the headmistress, but made a note of her surname, Bahr. Her voice was odd, but he paid no mind. He sighed to himself, his physical stature depressing into itself as he felt an array of unpleasant afflictions aimed towards them from the school. The driver insisted on taking his bags, and he wasn't going to put up a fight.

wahey~

LYDIA V. FRASIER

The redhead shivered mildly as the nighttime breeze chilled the exposed top of her chest. Her yellowy eyes looked at everyone in their lines, with their candles, and the largely popular looks of hatred, distaste, and hunger. Few didn't care. She was closer to one of them, as opposed to wanting to rip out the humans' esophagus's. Of course with the tensions all so incredibly high regarding the humans, so much fun could be had! Mimic one here, one there, give an offhanded, light insult to the wrong person over there, maybe a little light-hearted behind-their-back gossip down there, return to lovely Lydia, and watch and laugh. Perhaps it was sinister, but it was also very fun. It didn't take an awful lot of effort, it simply needed to be subtle and creative, and there was no permanent harm.

She was interrupted of her fantasies by a Lewin new to her talking to themselves, the line opposite the one she stood in. She rolled her eyes. Petty hatred. Humans are weak and unskilled and deliciously tasty in comparison to them, but that was no reason to hate them, much less yearn for their destruction. Lydia heard the familiar voice of her sister, Leilani, nearby to the pup Lewin. To her mild disappointment, Leila was agreeing, but of course only to a certain extent. Lydia had no intention of physical harm, the students would be getting their blood anyway. Without scaring the wits out of them. But, she supposed, at least her closest kin would be having fun, too. She heard the muttering of her name, and smiled across the driveway at her shorter sister. Soon enough she'd see her; she'd keep up the smile until then.

Lydia chuckled at the comment from the Bingham she knew to be Murdoch. He was in her year, and as far as she knew him, vague as it was: utterly full of himself. Still, she agreed with him. Couldn't harm a fly, at least not without a fly swat, even then they generally can't rely on themselves without spending a lot of time flapping about with a teatowel. She smiled at the image, amused by the comic silliness of it. Oh, how funny that'd be to watch.

Down the drive the humans were coming to a stop and exiting the car. They looked perfectly normal enough, and she really had to agree, compared to their kind the humans couldn't harm a fly. She watched them with a curiosity, their mannerisms, how they acted when presumably nervous. How they seemed to feel with 600 hungry, interested each-in-their-own-way eyes watching their every movement. Lydia realised she'd forgotten her smile aimed to Leilani, and so she called back upon it, and looked to her sister's place in line.

The headmistress' only acknowledgment of the quiet chatter of the vampire students was a slight twitching of her eye, though her smile didn't falter as she spoke. "Once again, welcome to our humble school." With a click of high-heeled shoes against the pavement, the woman was beside the car, whispering something in the driver's ear. He nodded, hastily unpacking the remaining luggage before climbing back into his car. Raising his hand outside of the window to soundlessly bid the student's farewell, the car's engine started and the car begin to drive away. For a few moment, Demetrius only watched the car drive away, pushing away the anger that threatened to spill from his lips. Murmurs from the other students filled his ears, and Demetrius was reminded of the other students presence. Taking in their expressions of disapproval, anger, as well as curiosity, he allowed his eyes to drift back over to the human students. A smirk upturned his lips as the pitiful manner at which they stood.

"Felicia Lewins, Otto Bingham, Lydia Frasier, please come forward."

Demetruis jumped slightly as the headmistresses voice took on a steely pitch, calling a few of the students over, one from each family, he noticed. The headmistress' left hand made a beckoning motion as an impatient gleam lit up her green eyes. She was more tense then usual, he noticed. Usually she was as calm as a cucumber. Maybe having this much fresh meat, literally, was unnerving her. The purpose of her calling them over he was unsure of, though it most likely had something to do with those measly human students. Part of him wished he'd been called up as well, despite their task probably being one he would most likely be reluctant to completing.

"This little group will be showing our newbies around for the rest of the week."

Now he definitely wished he'd been one of the few that had been called up, if not just to only observe the humans closer, and maybe get some of that outlawed blood.

"You can start your job right now. Take them into the school, straight to the cafeteria, and get them something to eat, entertain them." a smile skimmed across her lips at these words. "when the dorms orders are re-posted in the library, you can take them there."

The word dorm rooms sent a tremor of nervousness through the blonde's form. He'd forgotten that to fit the humans in the school, the dorm rooms would be rearranged, so it would now be three students per dorm, as the headmistress had announced that morning. He hoped that he wouldn't be one of those unlucky vampires who would have to share a room with one of those hunks of meat. To top it off, now with the humans here, they would be unable to do their usual night lurking, instead having to pretend to be asleep so the stupid humans wouldn't get suspicious.

"The rest of you can do what you want. But please keep your ears open for when the dorms are posted. And do not leave the school campus under any circumstances."

The headmistress turned on her heels, pulling open the school's doors and exiting.

Raising his head at the call of his name, Otto shook himself out of his reverie. Ms. Bahr spoke tensely, explaining that he and two other students were to show the humans the campus, welcome them, befriend them. He blinked hard several times, watching the normally calm headmistress explain tersely. Hearing the names called, he looked where she was looking, trying to identify the students he was to be with for the next week. Having not talked to a student he wasn't required to while he was here, he hadn't really learnt any names.

Otto did, however, recognize who he presumed to be Felicia. Her hair was long and red with bright, blue eyes, and her mind was full of hate and rage. She was an interesting choice for the welcoming committee. As his eyes scanned the crowd further, he focused on the next face Mrs. Bahr had looked pointedly at, yet another redhead. Her mind was a little less angry and a little more mischievous. Turning his head to the side ever so slightly, he remembered several people complaining of her, though under a more insulting name. As his lids drooped yet again, no longer shocked at being called upon, Otto realized he was the only one in the group with the slightest of good intentions and he couldn't even speak. He made a mental note to grab a notepad and pen.

The brown-haired male watched the humans exit the limousine, disinterest evident in his features. Apparently the arrival of the lowly creatures warranted an entire reception, with all the students standing at attention, candles in hand. Edric snorted lightly and his blue eyes narrowed behind his glasses when he thought about how his father might react when he heard about this. He knew his father wouldn't take him out of the school nor would he dare to complain to Headmistress Bahr, with her highly respected reputation among the major vampire families. But it was likely that his father would spend the next few weeks ranting in his letters about how Brutusque Boarding School was going to the dogs and how Edric was not to consort with such filth under any circumstance. The headmistress's steely voice broke him out of his thoughts.

It took a while for her announcement to sink in. The dorms would be reordered? Edric grimaced at the thought. He already had enough trouble sharing his room with another person, let alone two now. Edric's current roommate had no idea what cleanliness wasthe dirty clothes piling up on the other side of the room sickened him and he longed to take them to the laundry and do a thorough cleaning. But it was a matter of pride; a Lewin shouldn't be picking up after another vampire like a servant. The prospect that he might have to share a room with one of the humans further sickened him. He didn't mind the humans, stupid as they were, but it was only if they stayed out of his life.

With a furrowed brow, Edric blew out the candle he was holding and threw it into the nearest trash can. Then, he straightened up and composed himself again; he'd take care of it when the time came. Turning his head, he glanced over the group gathered near the gate and felt a hint of pity for those who were called to escort the new students. What were the headmistress's words again? "Entertain them," she said. Imagine that; vampires catering to the needs of such inferior beings. A subtle hatred stirred beneath the tension that blanketed the students and it reminded him of the vehement anger with which his father spoke whenever the topic of the 100 year war came up. Honestly, even though he did respect Headmistress Bahr, he couldn't begin to fathom why she would ever decide to integrate humans into the student body, even if they did have delicious blood.

But no matterit wasn't his problem anyway. He set off for the school library at a brisk pace, his well polished shoes tapping against the pavement. He'd read up more on the subjects he was currently studying and when the dorm orders were reposted, he'd be the first one there without having to navigate through a throng of students.

“Must you all be so petty? Look at the scrumptious little things. Couldn't hurt a fly, not a one of them.” Felicia sneered a little at the man who made such comment. If only he knew what they're capable of if its for their own selfish desires. I mean, who would kidnap a sweet, innocent child that had no means of defense? "They may look nothing, yes, but their hearts are of dirt." She answered quietly in her own, curt voice and proceeded in listening to the headmistress' words, then.

"Felicia Lewins, Otto Bingham, Lydia Frasier, please come forward. This little group will be showing our newbies around for the rest of the week."

Felicia's eyes widened, questioning every word the headmistress spoke. The candle in her hand cracked under her rage and disbelief.
"What?!" She hissed to herself as she eyed The Boar. "You can start your job right now. Take them into the school, straight to the cafeteria, and get them something to eat, entertain them." Every word that came out from the beautiful woman's lips made Felicia more confused. 'Is she nuts?! Doesn't she know my stupid past??!' Felicia was planning to hurt them one way or another, yes, but not this soon. She doesn't even have any plans on her mind. If push comes to shove she might even just kill one measly human if she can't calm down. 'Ugh..'

A small, heavy sigh emerged from her lips as she closed her eyes and tried to return her calmness. She tried to look at the brighter side of things, if there were. First, she can observe these people up close. Yes, she can easily see what they suck at and what's their grimly weaknesses. Second, she can chose her very first victim. The thought sent a smirk to Felicia's face. Felicia fixed the dress she has been wearing, a long-sleeved, puffed white dress covered with a violet vest, and had ruffles as the dress goes down to reach the lower side of her knee. She wore brown combat boots to match up with the dress. Her sense of fashion is a little vintage, seeing that her family secluded her from the world, including the newest trend on clothes.

Felicia walked forward to meet with their
guests. Her teeth gritted a little as the smell of blood surrounded near her. A sudden hunger encompassed her whole instead of rage. But she tried to maintain her composure, and with one final small sigh, the game began. "My name's Felicia, pleasure to meet all of you." She said. As polite as the words she chose to speak, her body language says something else. She didn't extend any hand, nor gave away any smile, she just stared at them as she crossed her arms on her chest; she wasn't planning on touching any of the vile creatures in front of her. She stared at every one of them, observing them even though their physical appearance were her only way to. '3 girls and 3 guys, quite a ratio.' She thought. 'A short-haired girl of blood, red eyes. A girl with an unusual color of hair, is this a trend among humans?' A little scrunch arrived on her face upon observing the girl with pink hair; her train of thoughts continues. 'Dark, long hair, blue eyes, and a very petite build. Two men with brown hair and brown eyes, and a little same in structure.' She blinked at the last person. 'Dark skin, a rare type amongst the vampires. So is it usual for humans to have it?' The curious question roamed her mind, trying to take in every detail of what they look like.

Irene's narrow eye's drifted from the wall to now the small group of people in front of her. She didn't even realize that they had come forward from the crowd. She looked around, noticing the large crowd diffusing and the Headmistress gone. Irene blinked, before slowly moving her head to focus on the redhead talking. Slow. It always seemed like Yuki was slow. Her relaxes weren't the best due to her slow nature. Her mother said it was because of hr being cold all the time. Which, was true. Irene was cold all the time, and often jokes about having ice run through her vein. She din't really show that she was cold though, wearing a long sleeve black shirt that showed off the the top of her breast. She then had a skirt that was red plaid print in the front, but in the back ruffly and black lace. She completed the look with a pair of flats.

Irene looked at the group with boredom on her face. She found out the one of the Redhead name was Felicia. Irene din't dare make a comment on it. They gave off the aura that they were better than her. The pink haired girl looked at Felicia, realizing she seemed to be studying everyone. The look on her face though showed that she wasn't thinking pleasant thought. Irene looked Felicia in the eyes.

"Tsk." Irene judged harshly, making her dislike known. It wasn;t because of her looks. No. The girl was goregous. It was more for her bad attitude. Irene then slowly looked back at the wall. She knew she probably started crap, but the other girl started it first.

Otto watched Felicia approach the group of new students as she assessed them, crossing her arms tightly as she welcomed them in the most un-welcoming of ways. He'd never seen humans before, but he studied them now, and they didn't look all that different from the vampires, albeit a little more tan. As he stood with his mouth lilted open, staring at the girl with the pink hair- he'd never seen such a thing and it reminded him of sugarcoated pastries and candies- he remembered, he too, is on the welcoming committee! He should be welcoming!

Otto's eyes darted nervously, his eyebrows ever so slightly furrowed, disturbing his normally blank expression. Otto didn't talk to people. It was just a fact to him, and when people approached him he stood, frozen, staring right through the person as if they weren't there. Since so few noticed him in the first place, it had happened so little and the first several attempts usually put them off of the idea. And at least when he chose to 'talk', it was in another person's mind and not much of an effort on his part, which he couldn't even do now. The simple notion of introducing himself was a taxing, foreign concept.

Bringing himself out of his inner rambling, he took in a sharp breath and walked to the group in his floating, quiet manner. Looking through the students, he didn't stop on any of the normal ones, their faces a similar blur of browns and blacks and whites. Otto stopped to stare at the girl with the red eyes, the one with the dark skin and the one with the bubble-gum pink hair who seemed to be the only one who had said a word, if only a muttered sound of disapproval. He liked odd things and he liked pink hair and red eyes and dark skin. Humans would be a lot harder to keep than rocks and cats, he mused to himself. Realizing he had spent an awful lot of time standing there inquiringly, he waved his hand in an strange, alien manner, which he had been told meant a greeting of a sort.

Tell them I can't speak. Do they have paper and pen? Otto asked of the angry redhead next to him, slightly desperately.

ooc: for the sake of a poor mute boy i hope one of you guys just so happens to have a notepad and pencil of some kind?

Dante listened carefully to the announcement, it seemed like the usual but it still caught his attention. 'This will be fun' he thought to himself as he noticed a red haired, blue eyed beautiful girl approach the group and while she looked stunning her attitude said something else. However Dante ignored that, maybe she was just having a bad day or way tired? After all who knows how long they have been standing outside waiting for us and there was something about the dorms mentioned in the announcement. That just had to be it Dante thought over in his mind as he for quite the first time looked around at the group around him.

They all seemed much more friendly then the girl that will be showing them around. Finally catching her name at least now he wouldn't make a fool of himself if he ever wanted to speak to her although if she was in a bad mood like now he doubts he would come up to her on his own. 'Hopefully the other two will be in a better mood' he thought to himself as he watched the scenery realizing at last just the time of day it was.

He held onto his suitcase tightly worried that if he didn't it would fall over although that was unlikely. He had packed his most valuable possessions like his laptop and ds alongside the necessaries he would need somehow the suitcase falling over didn't seem likely but had to be considered after all he would hate it to break his laptop or ds on the first day. If it wasn't for the fact that they were packed quite near the bottom of the suitcase he would have played some games throughout the long journey but it was too late to feel sorry and regret that now.

LYDIA V. FRASIER

She rolled her eyes pettily at the announcement of effectively being a chauffeur-tour-guide, but truly, the idea entertained her. She could get to know the humans up close and learn how to best get the most entertainment out of them. Considering that, she looked forward to it. Lydia smiled, nodded more to herself than anyone in particular, and set stride out of the line of dispersing students to head for the new ones. The first thing she noticed was they were all generally skinny, but the main thing was the girl with bubblegum hair. She got a faint smell of mint from her, and Lydia cringed a little. Never liked mint.

As she neared, a freshman vampire she knew to be a Lewin via process of elimination had made it to the group first. She could already sense the hostility. She rolled her eyes, and made sure to be friendly, keeping her arms relaxed at her sides. The Bingham, Otto, had made it shortly before her. He had a vague air of deja vu about him, like she had seen him before but never specially. He didn't talk at all, and looked a little awkward. She thought for a moment. If he's got crippling social anxiety, he wouldn't have been able to manage coming over, though I suppose the Boar can be scary. Still, he only looks awkward, not nervous..

She arrived at a comfortable distance moments before Bubblegum's 'Tch.' Attitudes already? She thought playfully. Lydia glanced at the fire-headed Felicia, and there was definitely hatred. Otto seemed pretty friendly, despite the silence. She sighed a very short, quiet sigh and turned from her glance to Felicia back to the new students. She held out a hand to the first of them, a black-haired petite girl with deep blue eyes. It was enchanting. "Welcome to Brutusque, my names' Lydia Frasier." She offered a charming smile, and glanced at the others to pay the welcome to all of them equally.

('Lotta interaction pending, short posts inbound..)

dat asssss~

JONO T. LEIGH

Jono stared tiredly at the attractive redhead approaching, with 2 others trailing behind from their different places in the lines. He didn't much care. Not out of dislike, he simply didn't care. He listened to her introduction, nodded and gave the briefest of necessary smiles, and glanced at the ground before having to look up at the next newcomer. He didn't talk at all, and looked very awkward. After a few moments of this, the hostility from Felicia and silence from who must be Otto, Jono stepped forward tiredly and extended a hand to the other boy. "I'm Jono. Jono Leigh.." He said quietly, and looked evenly at him. This exertion was tiring, but still, he had a pure feeling of not caring about anything. He felt it was simply courtesy, and would just help him later.

As he extended a hand, the next redhead showed up. Lydia, so it seemed. She wasn't nearly as sharp-edged and white hot as Felicia, but oddly friendly and about as attractive. He smiled briefly to her, and stuck to his intended shake with Otto.

Leilani glanced back over at her sister before going back to staring at the puny little humans before her. They certainly did look like them. That was for sure at least. After a few more seconds Leilani could feel herself becoming inpatient. Why were they still standing out here like this? These freshmen had gotten their big introduction and now it was time for her to go do something a lot more productive than stare at humans- no matter how fascinating they were.

Leilani had already started to take a step back when the Boar spoke and she froze up. The Boar... She didn't like the woman all that much. With her sergeant like attitude and that ugly outfit. Really, couldn't she find something better to wear other than that? It bothered her to no extant.

"Felicia Lewins, Otto Bingham, Lydia Frasier, please come forward."

A twitch of a grin tried to break out on Leilani's face at the mention of the three students. Poor people. They'd be the babysitters to the humans for a week. While that wouldn't be a job Leilani could do, it did certainly interest her. Those three would certainly be lucky to be so close to them. Maybe she'd sneak herself into the group for a bit, just to see how it was going.... Lydia was there so she could if she wanted. Her eyes trailed back up and over to the Boar, a smile on her face at the mention of what the rest of them could do.

"Oh I plan on doing what I wish..." She mumbled, stretching her arms out into the sky in a bored manner before finally turning and walking around.

-------------+++++++++------------

Clyde eyed the three students that were coming to them. First a limo, then a huge group of students, now escorts? This school was in it to win it with first impressions. His hands gripped the bag in his hand as he stared at the first girl. Her red hair screamed 'attention' and those eyes amazed him. Her eyes stood out just as his did and he couldn't help the small grin to come to his face. She seemed to study them all as well and made sure not to look in her direction when she finally stopped at him.

A scowl did replace the grin though at the looks she'd given. Her name was Felicia... Felicia the glaring girl. Glare girl. It was clear she didn't want this new batch of students in the school. Clyde knew that from the jump. He mentally took note of the girl- knowing not to bother with her. Though he most likely wouldn't bother with any of these students. He was here to learn to get somewhere in life. But then again, she did interest him. He wondered how much it would take to push her over the edge- how long it would take with all of them.

The next one who came up to them- Otto Bingham it had to be since he was the only guy- he was odd to say the least. He didn't speak but instead waved his hand. Clyde deemed that alright. A awkward wave was better than a glare. Maybe he was one of those students that everyone stepped all over. Clyde didn't know. Nor did he really care.

The third beauty who came was most certainly the nicest of them all. Her name was Lydia? She had even gotten close enough to share handshakes with them, starting with the one girl on the end.

'If I need anything it'd probably be wisest to go to her. Glare girl and silent type over there probably wouldn't do me much justice.' He thought to himself as he plastered a small smirk onto his face.

Otto stared at the outstretched, surprised with how polite the newcomers were. He tentatively stuck his long pale fingers out, returning the gesture. It was awfully warm. Were all humans this warm? Smiling feebly, he was incredibly lost about how to return the greeting, but brought back memories of attempted sign language instruction. Bringing his hand back from the greeting, he pointed to his mouth, making a zipping motion, gesturing with his hand apologetically. The boy seemed tired, but Otto welcomed the brown-haired boy who noticed his presence, as the others seemed focused on the two attractive redheads. Lydia had appeared, being significantly more welcoming than the other, but Otto of all people knew looks could be deceiving. Moreover, he was grateful someone was able to utter something more than an aggressive welcome. He sighed inwardly, exasperated from the interactions and from the frenetic energy of the two vampires he was to spend his week with.

Felicia glared a little at the bubblegum haired girl, annoyed with the equally curt response. Maybe she's rude herself but they should know that they are at their mercy, being the livestock in the realms of beasts. She blinked her alluring eyes while sighing a little as she tried to hide her hot headed nature from the measly beings in front of her. 'Just one week, it's just one week...' She convinced herself as she tried to conclude the will-be happenings the coming week. She's actually shaken by the possibility of accidentally killing one of them in annoyance, especially girls who don't know their place.

Tell them I can't speak. Do they have paper and pen?

Felicia looked at the silent boy who followed after her, a Bingham. She wasn't in good terms with the idea of bashing other vampires, and she likes her kind, a lot, though most of them are strangers to her. And even though she was stubbornly trying to phase out the humans from her spear of comfort, she sighed a little as she confided in his plea for help. She eyed all of the humans, one by one, then straightly asked,
"Do any of you have paper and pen? This guy needs it to communicate with you all." She pointed at Otto with her thumb as her other arm stayed at the place beneath her chest. I mean, come on, who wouldn't help this guy? Though his presence seems almost invisible, it's rather gentle and kind, and Felicia came to be okay with his presence right away, something rare with her.

Felicia looked at her friendlier counterpart, another redhead. A voluptuous woman of gentle and welcoming words, a Frasier. Frasiers' are usually cool-headed, as much as her knowledge knows, and Felicia can't help but look in awe and confusion. How can she, another one from the three biggest families here, be friendly with the likes of them? The shorter, redheaded girl just watched as they exchanged salutations and welcomes, not really envious but rather feeling displaced. Avoiding to feel awkward, she continued her own observation, a little stuck with the guy of dark skin who seems to be avoiding her gaze along with the others. Being a little not-so-updated in the world, she actually wondered if having darker skin feels different. All her life she has pale, pasty white skin, and living in the mountains surrounded with snow didn't help either.

Dante heard that a guy he hadn't really noticed come over needed a pen and paper, he quickly opened up his suitcase and took out a pen and his notebook, a rather orange in colour one as well with a black firework design for a cover. He looked over to where the girl had pointed with her thumb a rather strange way to point at someone if you asked him. Dante stretched out his arms with the notebook and pen in his hands towards the guy with a smile. Dante had always felt more comfortable around guys and this guy had seemed far more friendly in his eyes, maybe he would be the best to ask for help? As long as he had a way of communicating that is.

It became quite clear that the guy was probably mute it sure made him rest knowing this before he tried interacting otherwise he would feel ashamed of himself and it would have thrown him off from interacting with the guy but now he knew before he even tried interacting. The smile on his face wasn't disappearing anytime soon he was genially to help in any way he could and this was the first person he had interacted with properly.

This week will be great if it keeps like this, Dante thought as he tried to imagine how the group of them could get along. The idea quickly turned into something else and his mind wondered back as he began to think about who he might be sharing a room with and what the two or more possibly roommates could get up to like movie watching or helping each other with school projects. Coming to this school seemed great even if there was some students or a lot that seemed to be unhappy, it's probably just a bad day for them.

Irene continued staring at the wall, her gaze intense as she memorized the pattern. She could recall almost 1,000 different patterns just from staring at walls. The pink haired girl then returned her focus to the small group. Before her was now the other redhead speaking and smiling gently. It was much more inviting than the other redhead. Irene titled her head and gave a nod to show she understood.

Right then Felicia made a comment about a pen and paper. Yuki leaned down, only to stop half way and realize that one of the brunette boys already got it. On the inside she was smiling with how kind the boy was, but once again on the outside her face showed nothing. Otto also made her at ease though. He seemed nothing but kind. Irene quickly scolded herself for judging the whole student body based on one student. That's when she realized something.

"Irene Yuki Jackson." She mumbled, looking at the group from the corner of her eye. She realized it would be best to introduce herself if she was going to get treated any better at this school. The girl gave a little shiver and wrapped her arms around herself, taking a deep breath.

Dani bit her lip nervously as she followed the others slowly observing their surroundings. She was relieved when they headed away from the stares and found the inside of the school to be as beautiful as the outside. Looking at the floor as she walked she thought back to how she reacted on the way over here and berated herself. She had promised herself she would try to be more open.

Minutes into my new life and I already acted like a total wreck. It was just silence and I made it out to be more. What do the others think of me now? I hope they don't think I am a total mess. Even if its true.

Hugging herself she released a shaky breath at the thought. I can take care of myself. I don't need to fear them or anyone. I shouldn't fear them! Those damn bullies did this. Damn them!!!

Clyde glanced over Felicia’s way when she spoke once again about paper and a pen. So he was somewhat right about mute guy. He really was a mute. Guess there was no true reason to call him mute guy. At least not to his face. In his mind- most definitely. Though he did like the guy’s name. Otto. Clyde then decided that Otto had to be a pretty cool guy with a pretty cool name like that.

Clyde took notice of when Felicia’s eyes had finally landed on him and he couldn’t help but stiffen just a bit. The young man hadn’t necessarily it meant to stiffen up but he’d been too alert to the fact that there indeed was someone looking at him. With a sigh, his eyes flickered over to hers for a quick moment before turning away. He watched as one of the other freshmen like himself grabbed the paper and pen and stretched his arms out for the requested items to be taken. Clyde hadn’t even bothered to move in the slightest bit. He was sure he wouldn’t need to. The others seemed so nervous and jittery that they’d jump to do whatever was said.

Clyde turned to the pink haired girl when she spoke. Did she ever make any faces? That was the question of the day. Maybe one day she would? He didn’t know. It didn’t bother him that much. Her name was Irene though. Nice name. Clyde realized that he still liked the name Otto more. It was then he took notice of the other girl in the group, watching from the corner of his eye as she shivered and took a shaky breath. This was exactly what he meant about their apprehension. It annoyed him.

“Hey,” He spoke to her, “Calm down. Take a deep breath and just keep moving. No need to be nervous.” He looked back at the group before deciding to speak once more. “My name’s Clyde Coit."
