Fantasy Brother's Grim Academy

She grumbled back in, knowing there was no escape. "Bloodsucker.." She kept grumbling as she went to Mr. O'Hare.

"Five minutes is more than enough time, so we'll be fine staying here for a few minutes" Cicero camly said as he watched Plestil in front of him.

She looked as Izzy went inside but stayed with Cicero. "Yeah we'll be good." She hopes this man will just leave them alone like she really didn't want to go to magic.

Mr Plestil looked at the kids, easily seeing through there lies. He smiled slightly at them, and then extended his arms to the side while saying: "No, this school is soooooo easy to get lost in, come with me, I can show you the way easily. I just happened to be the teacher for that class." he almost sounded like he meant to be friendly.

"I'm actually having science with mr O'hare, so I'll be going that way" Cicero said as he sowly walked away from the two of them.

"Ahh m-me too." She quickly goes after him, hopping he would believe her. "Isn't that right Cicero." She nudges him.

((No one is reading my OoC apparently.))

Mr Plestil laughed a small laugh. "Well I do believe Mr O'hare has deceived you. Science is optional, but magic, that you have to have. It's obligatory, as in our world magic controls everything, so you have to learn about it to control it." He said ending with a bit sour voice.

"Yeah, but I have magic tomorrow morning" Cicero said while turning his head towards Plestil with a wide grin, almost up to his eyes.

Plestil scourged a bit, and looked at Cicero. He slowly walk to him, and leaned forward, nearing Ciceros ear and whispered to him: "I hope you are on time then." Then straightened his back and looked down on the group. "As for the rest of you, you should ready for your class." And then he walked to the entrance. The purple wall still stood high.

Emma called after him, "I-I ahh feel under the weather so I might miss some of class." More like all of it she turns to Cicero, "I don't know how you stand up to that man, he's so creepy." She shudders and smiles."Well you're much bravery than me.

A shiver went down his spine as Plestil whispered in his ear but he ignored it.

"He's not that bad really, he's just a little odd. But he seems like a good teacher." Cicero said while looking at Plestil as he walked away.

There was no sign of Izzy as her hood was on the ground. She was in a wing that was really dusty and she left the wooden door with a leaf like pattern on it wide open. "Is anyone in here?"

Leveret slowly walked into the sudden pristine classroom, "Ahh seems like the gale flask worked. I will have to write that down."

He placed the cane leaning up against his desk and walked over to a few peculiar machines. "Come Mister Garvan. The cups. And that'll be the last of them for quite a while.. I am still not sure how long it'll take.. And well.. If the disease is even truly there.."

Leveret continued to mumble something for a while, suddenly he turned to Adam.

"Ah, history. I do teach that, but that is for tomorrow. I mean we can't keep the students in the academy forever."

Leveret chuckled for a little while.

"Well, Plestil and I have a.. Hmh.. A rivalry so to speak of. I personally believe that science will become a greater path of our lives, while I see magic as a lazy man's way of doing things!" Said O'Hare out of the blue.

"Interesting," Adam mumbled as he entered shortly after the rabbit man. He handed him back the cups and stuffed his hands in his pockets, leaning back against a desk to regard his teacher. "You're the history teacher too? I'll see you tomorrow then.

"Also, why do you see magic as being lazy? It can be pretty powerful sometimes..." I mean, science certainly couldn't have turned me into a Beast that I can barely control... Adam subconsciously began rubbing his arm, specifically his right bicep where a rose had been tattooed since the 'incident' with the sorceress. He honestly hasn't done anything wrong! He was nine and he was told not to let strangers inside! And then she revealed her true colors and suddenly he was being called ungrateful, unkind, unloving and being turned into a beast! Te only upside was that he had learned to keep this thing buried within. But when he lost his temper... Adam dug his nails into his arm to bring himself back to the present and stared at the teacher patiently.

She came out as she got her hood then ran to Mr O'Hare with a large stone in her hand. "Mr O'Hare, hey," she smiled a bit holding the large stone. "I found this stone, but it's too soft to be a stone."

Rose woke in front of her laptop. Oh my! I'm late... No, I have skipped my class, she sighed and stood up and stuffed her laptop in her bag. What did she have next, again?

Magic? How could she have any magic when she couldn't even use it?!

Well, class was a class and she had to get there, quickly. But where was that class, again?

Rose was still sleepy and feeling disorganized and orientated so she wandered a little before she found the right class.

"Umm... Am I late?" She peeked from the door and stepped inside "I haven't heard the bell yet..."

Leveret took the cups carefully and inserted them into two different machines, A few whirring sounds and a few fiddling from O'Hare's nimble fingers. And suddenly silence. O'Hare spoke up: "Very well.. Now there is just a few days.. Or a lot.. It's bit of a mystery really.. But I'll be alerted." Leveret smiled warmly again. He tilted his head slightly but suddenly laughed, a short while after his expression turned serious.

"Ehm.. Sorry.. Yeah.. Why it is the lazy mans craft? Because it's easy to learn. It may hard to master, but so are many things. Do you want to dance? You'll fumble and fail in the start.. But after dedication and hard work! You'll be the star of the dancefloor. Do you want to cook? You might burn your first dishes and the second ones will probably taste badly.. But practice makes perfect, and one day you could be running hundreds of restaurants with some of the finest food served! Everything takes time to perfect. But magic.. It deviates from the norm, it is not like any other 'craft' and unlike anything else.. Magic.. can be.. Much.. Darker.."

Leveret turned to Adam and took a few steps towards the young man. "Mister Garvan.." O'Hare whispered coldly. "Is just one reason why I dislike magic.." O'Hare took slowly a few steps back, even slower, taking the heart-shaped locket out of his breast pocket.

"Magic.. Can do many things.. It can heal.. It can create and it can make the world a better place.. But magic is power.. And power corrupts.. Soon it will kill, destroy and shatter the world leaving nothing but ashes.."

Leveret said silently, his red eyes watered.

"No-one who learns magic and tries to improve it.. Can stay a hero.. You can learn magic for a few things.. And accept that you will not go further.. A few healing spells.. A few magic spells to mend broken items.. That is alright... But few can resist power.." Leveret stared at the locket, his hand clenching it even tighter.

"I am not saying science is perfect.. But with science... You can avoid corruption, I have never.. But once created a object of science to kill... I am not going to lie.. I felt the temptation of power when I created that thing.. But my will was strong enough.. I stopped myself from going further.. And since then.. I have only created machines and devices to help or defend. To many teachers.. Adam..

" Leveret looked back to the student.. Tears slowly falling from the teacher's face.

"I am weak.. To many of the people of this world.. I am but a lunatic. A person who should be killed on sight.. That is why I study alchemy.. It is the line between magic and science..... But I know that.. At anytime.. A magician could kill me.. I have truly nothing to defend myself, of course potions and machines.. but magic .. As I've said is lazy.. It will find a way sooner or later.. And well I know I might die one day.. Be it to the bloodsucker or a student who wanted to try a spell.... But I do not fear death.."

Leveret looked back to the locket and slowly placed it back to it's rightful pocket. "For I have already accepted death..."

Leveret looked up, as he heard the sound of the doors opening again. "Miss Hood? What can I-"

Leveret stared with unbelief at the ston- no Egg..

"That.. Miss Hood is not an stone.. That is.. An egg.. A proto-egg.. It is... Everything? And nothing.. I've only seen four of these in my life.. This is my fifth.. Whatever that comes out of it, we cannot say. But it will certainly find the first being it sees friendly Or a better term, once it hatches.. It will see it's mother..."

Leveret carefully took the egg from the girl and carefully turned it around. "Where did you find this? And where would it's mother be?"

Leveret moved even more carefully over to a corner of the classroom and placed the egg in a peculiar incubator.

"I have personally created this incubator to hold these kind of eggs.. While I have only used it with two of those four I've seen.. I've learned much about these kind of eggs.. No magic or science can detect what's inside.. It's.. Too old? Too powerful? I don't know.. But it certainly is.. Beyond anything in this world.. It belong to the old world, dating back eons.."

Leveret pushed a single button and a red light turned on inside the incubator, re-revealing the large egg.

"This.. Is a great discovery for science.." Leveret turned and smiled to Izzy.

"That's.. Incredible find you found there Miss Hood.. I am truly amazed by the discovery.. But we have to wait for now.. We have no clue what it is.. It could be anything good and it could.. Be bad.. These proto-eggs are.. Random? I guess... I haven't truly found out how they work.. I have never in my life wanted to crack one open.. They are too rare for that.. But whatever comes out of it will be a proto of whatever race it is.. If it now were.. A dragon.. It would be able to grow twice the size of a full-grown adult wyrm. It's power would be three times as powerful and it would live for eons.. As proto is early.. It would become what many would call a forefather for it's race.."

Leveret knelt down and studied the egg again..

Emma sat in the nurses office and chilled. She took out her phone and put in the headphone and grinned. No dumb magic class for her today. She relaxed and let herself daydream about one leaving her stupid mill and making it big.

She watched him then smiled. "There was a mahogany door with leaf designs on it. I thought it was a stone." She looked at the egg softly.

Mr Plestil looked up from his desk. He had been studying a string of hair at his desk, trying to figure out whether it contained the curse of the werewolf or not. "Ah, hello." Plestil said with a calm voice. "Well you certainly are late, but seeing as all the others prefer science over magic." he scourged at the word science "You are technically the first, and therefore not late. Also latency is a matter of the rabbit, as long as you come to my classes, I am happy." he said with a smile on his face.

Plestil stood up from his chair and walked towards the girl, studying her. He walked in a circle around her, lifting her arms a bit, almost as if she had gone to a tailor, and he was measuring her for a dress. "Tell me deary, how do you normally feel? Like emotionally. Remember this is important, I will explain in a second why." He was standing in front of her, so that he could see her eyes.

@Listette

Huh? What was the teacher talking about, emotionally..?

"Lazy? Peaceful?" Rose thought and shrugged. She wondered why no one wanted to be taught magic. Didn't it make everything so much easier? "Why did no one pick magic?" She asked mr. Plestil when he was circling around her. What was he doing anyways, she kind of wanted to sit down. Her feet were getting lazy already.

Mr Plestil looked at Rose, eyes filled with an annoyed look. "They all do, but some have science while the magic takes place. They are just being foolish, science is just nonsense anyway, when magic is the true explaining of our world." He shook his head, and looked at Rose once again. "Now you say you are peaceful, yes? Well quite frankly that is not one of the emotions that magic works with. You must have some sort of passion, or a desire of which you will use your magical powers. Try and think hard, is there any person or event that made, angry perhaps?"

Rose looked at mr. Plestil confused. To work with magic she had to be annoyed or angry? That sounded like a lot of work.

"Uh... No?" Rose muttered and tried to think of something "Maybe when my little brother broke my laptop? But I got a new one so there's no point to hold a grudge against him,"

To be frank Rose's life had always been really peaceful and safe, no dangerous events or people who had made her angry. There was no point to be.

But mr. Plestil must be very good at magic when he is so angry person, she thought to herself.
