Anabeth Blackwater: Captain of the Black Phoenix
Anabeth stood watch at the bow of her ship, leaning on the rail as she stared at the land slowly coming into view. Unfortunatelly, this trip to land was not meant to be a pillaging one, but rather a "refueling" oppurtunity. She had planned everything out. Her crew was divided into three groups; one to get food, one to get rum, and one to get weapon supplies. While they were doing that, she would go "shopping" for some new boots, for hers were wearing out.
The crew did not require their captain to give the orders to weigh anchor when the time came. The crew was very self-sufficient when it came to tasks like that, which made Anabeth that much happier. The colors were lowered before coming into sight of Port Smith, and a tattered british flag was put in place of the Jolly Roger. Everyone on the ship glared at the flag, but it would keep them safe while they were low on ammo. The sails were wound so the unusual black color would be less noticeable.
The second the crew stepped foot on land, they took off in different directions to make this stop a quick and easy one. It took almost no time for Anabeth to find a perfect pair of boots, and they were almost too easily stolen as the man turned his back. With extra time to spare, Anabeth found a nice jewelry shop and began to look around inside. The shopkeeper was very nice to her and gladly pulled out every item Anabeth wished to see. Anabeth put a large ruby medallion around her neck and admired her reflection in the mirror.
"That looks lovely on you, dear" the elderly shop owner said with a smile. Anabeth smiled back in agreement. "You don't think it's too gaudy, do you?" Anabeth questioned. "Oh absolutely not! It accents your body perfectly, if I do say so myself."
Outside, Anabeth noticed one of her men flagging her down, a signal that all of the men had finished loading the ship and were ready to set sail. "I must be off" Anabeth said to the old man, pulling a pistol out from her jacket. "Oh, and I'll be taking this with me." she smirked as she waved the gun in front of the man's terrified face before slipping out the store and back towards her ship, singing softly one of the many songs her father had taught her.
"Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the colors high. Heave, ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die....."
Take what you can. Give nothing back.
Pirates have sailed these cursed waters for countless years, striking fear into any who cross them. But now, the Navy has begun to bombard any ship that dare fly colors of its own. Now, each pirate must fight for his or her share in the loot, and, even more so, for his or her own life. With the new age comes new pirates, ready to make a name for themselves. But this task will not be easy. Pirates are turning on each other with greater rage than ever before, each one craving to be better than the other, even as they face extermination. What will be written in the history books about you?
These are dangerous waters, mate. Do ye dare sail them?
Who knows what the Horizon will bring...

A once popular pirate getaway, known at the time for its beautiful landscape and easy-to-defend entrance, the abandoned cove has been worn away by time. Now a fictitious place of old, few believe it still exists, and those who still believe search tirelessly to rediscover its hidden location, propelled by the stories of mountains of treasures hidden within its landscape.
Dedrin, a once innocent ship-building port, is now terrorized by the cruelest and most ruthless pirates the seas have ever known. Few dare to dock at Dedrin anymore, but those who do are usually there in search of information from a sneaky rat or services from a mercenary.
Azela
A Pirate's paradise, Azela is the perfect place to make port when in search of rum, women, and a crew. The run down city houses the filthiest scum and the most scandalous women around, making it a popular destination.
Port Smith is a luxurious and heavily fortified port that houses the pride and joy of the British Navy. Its waters have withstood pirate attacks for over a century, never once being breached in a front-on attack. However, Pirates still cause chaos in the streets through theft and deception of even the most innocent of citizens.
