Futuristic Brain Burger

".. Okay... THAT should control the bleedin'..." He quickly pins it all in place with some medical tape and then leans over, clicking his fingers in front of Annie's face a few times. ".. Annie, sweetheart. Can ya' hear me right now?" He asks her softly, checking to see whether or not she was responsive. (@Soul OMU, @Huntrey)
 
'' Doesn't it look beautiful?'' Noah said laying down next to her flat on his stomach with his finger pointing at the sky. '' I don't find it ordinary... I wished I had a life like that.''
 
Tessa looked across at him, curiously. "What about you? What were you doing before all this?" she asked, watching him closely.
 
"Normaaaaaan!" Nathan cries out from the shower, his body too frail and weak to climb out of the cold water that was raining down on him. When he got no response he slowly dragged himself up and flicked the water off before collapsing back down to the ground; he dragged himself along the cold tile floor and pulled a towel from the bench in the center of the room. He managed to wrap it around himself before passing out on the floor.
 
Annie's eyes suddenly shot open as she leaned over and empty her stomach off to the side, some of the small leeches who had tried to get into her throat were suddenly withering in her vomit. She coughed slightly as she felt something off. "Oh god... I... I was hoping this was all some horrible dream... But it's real..." she said and started to sob. (@Huntrey)


Elizabeth quickly stabbed the small leeches with a dagger, looking quite revolted and grossed out slightly. "What... happened out there Annie?" she asked softly while looking at her.


Brianna woke up slightly and quickly poked out of their room and went to go help Nathan up off the floor and half carried him back to their room to lay him on the bed. (@DrTrollinski)
 
'' Me... A Squidgy Kid who just happened to stumble into a good man who gave me shelter.'' Noah said playing with dust on the ground drawing random stuff. (@Vaila )
 
"Relax, Annie..." He took hold of her opposite hand. "I know it's hard, but panickin' could kill you right now--.. Tell me, what in the mother of FUCK..." He looked at the leeches and shuddered. "ARE those things?" He asked her, watching Elizabeth stab them for a moment. (@Soul OMU, @Huntrey)
 
Stewart shook his head,


"No, not really, there were a couple here recently but there hasn't really been one here in a couple of days." He crosses his arms.

"I'm not sure if I can picture that," she said softly, turning to look back up at the sky. Closing her eyes slightly, she focused on the breeze blowing through her hair and sighed as she relaxed.

Clary nodded and scratched her arm nervously. She didn't really know what to say, then again she rarely did, but at least in this instance she felt like she needed to say something. Anything. As she glanced back at Bellamy, she let out a small sigh.
 
Belinda didn't panic either when "Dying" came in freaking out, or when the screaming and shouting started going on... again. For a secure facility it sure seemed to happen a lot. Instead, she continued consuming water like a fish, and went back to sleep. She was sleeping a lot, lately, must be a side effect of the concussion.
 
'' What do you mean?'' Noah said chuckling a bit. '' That was my life up until I was fourteen. After that, well...I didn't want to abuse of his kindness and didn't have the intelligence to graduate high school after dropping off during middle school so the Army it was. Got specialized in Mechanics and here I am.'' He said smiling brightly (@Vaila )
 
Hunter placed his head on Annie's, trying to contain her sobs. "The leeches were in the junk, bit into her and let those things off inside. I thought I cut them all out, but I don't know if there are any more.". His heart was racing and could be seen by his elevated breathing, lifting Ann up and down with the breaths. (@Soul OMU @DrTrollinski )
 
Stewart just remembered something,


"Hold on a second, I'll be right back." Stewart darts off and grabs his sleeve holster, he puts it on and conceals it under his jacket sleeve. Stewart walks back up,


"Alright, so, let's say you're getting hassled but you dropped your gun by accident and you can't seem to get it at the moment. So, you whip out this." Stewart flicks his hand causing the gun to spring out.

He reached over and placed a hand on Hunter's shoulder. "She's fine. She's lost a lot of blood but she's with us, okay? Keep it together." He said, trying to offer some reassuring words. "Ellie... Get Annie a glass of water... She needs to get back some fluids, at least..." He said softly, running his thumb over the top of Annie's hand repeatedly in an attempt to keep her calm.

Annie wiped her mouth with her sleeve as she sobbed slightly. "I... I don't know what happened... I was getting parts one minute and then... I felt something latch onto my arm... I thought it was just the glass poking into me... So when i pulled my arm back, I felt it sink into me... I was horrified... That's when I noticed them all... So I started running after getting it off me..." she said while hiccuping softly.


Elizabeth heads to the kitchen to get some water for Annie and possibly some for Hunter. As she comes back she sits back down and hands them to Hunter. (@DrTrollinski, @Huntrey)
 
Hunter calms down a bit, but his hand is shaking slightly as he places the glass to Ann's lip. "No story telling for now, drink.". He looked onto Norman, "Obviously they don't just wander, probably just wait in secluded areas. I mean from what we've seen.". (@Soul OMU @DrTrollinski )
 
"It's hard for me to picture anything but who you are now I guess," Tessa said softly, looking up at him with wide blue eyes. "But I can kind of see you in the army," she continued as she tilted her head, studying him closely.

Clary watched it with interest. "I've never seen anything like that before," she said curiously.
 
Annie slightly sips the water as he holds the glass for her, still trembling pretty badly from the shock and a bit from the pain. "P-Painkillers?" she mumbled while lightly lifting her free hand to feel the bandages, fresh tears fall slightly as she bows her head. (@DrTrollinski, @Huntrey)


Elizabeth hands her some and sits back, looking at the dead leeches slightly. "I wonder how these came to be..." she muttered while sitting away from them.
 
"What's bothering me is the fact that all these new fuckin' things are poppin' up. They're adaptin' to people, to their weaknesses, to the heat, the cold. Just what the hell..." He paused for a moment and looked across at Hunter.


"You think you'd be okay with leavin' Annie with Ellie for a minute so I could talk to you outside?" He asked him, patting his shoulder once. (@Soul OMU)
 
Hunter shook his head a bit and looked to Norman, taking a long breath before speaking. "Yea, lets go.". Hunter placed Annie on the ground gently, removing the now empty glass from her lips and taking it with him. He went barely out of the station doors when he stopped, looking at Norman and awaiting whatever talk this was. His foot was tapping, his patience running, feeling uneasy being away from Annie already. "What's up?".

"I know there's been some things gettin' to your head here, which we'll talk about later. My other concern is that those things were in her stomach... I hate to say it, Hunter. But we need to keep a closer eye in case she turns, but... I ain't sayin' that she needs to be put in a cell. I kbow you're gonna' watch her while she's sleepin' so just watch for any signs she's infected."


He paces himself back to the door and leans against the frame. "You did well there, man. Don't start thinkin' you're accountable for what happened to her." He faintly cracked a smile and nod at him followed by walking back inside. (@Huntrey)
 
Clary shook her head and watched closely, feeling interested in something for the first time in a long time.
