Bounty

"How the tables have turned. Perhaps I should charge you for saving your life?"

Dominique was joking, of course. Extending a hand in attempt to help her out of the ship, the young bounty hunter figured that it was best to get moving. In such a hostile environment and situation, it would be better off if the two stuck together rather than split up. However, that was up to Morgan; either way, Dominique would reach the success he initially traveled to Jupiter for in the first place.
"We have to get moving now. Everyone in the immediate area just saw you crash. They're definitely coming."

Obviously. As though the constant barrage of fire that J-9's barrier was taking hadn't been enough proof. Once Morgan had made her way out of the crashed piece of metal, Dominique would begin sprinting toward the depths of the jungle, with her hand still in his. He did not stop running for quite some time either. At the least, he was sure that any entrance belonging to the jungle was unseen. No soldiers had been in sight, or even easily heard when they broke enough distance between the much larger party and themselves.

Morgan frowned at Dom's small joke before gathering up her weapons and coat. She wasn't sure if returning to the ship would ever be possible with so many goons after them so it was best to grab what she could. Vertigo struck her as she stepped out of the ship but she managed to get her barrings once more. She glanced over the blonds shoulder noticing his bot protecting them from gun fire and cursed under her breath before following along with the other bounty hunter.

After nearly an hour of running through the thick Jupiter jungle they came to a stop. Morgan panted softly feeling the thick humidity weighing down on her causing her clothes and hair to stick to her body. "G'damn I hate this fucking planet." she grumbled under her breath before standing up straight. "I take it you got an warm welcome as well?" she questioned starting to check just how much ammo she had left.

"I don't know what you're talking about. This planet is great."

Dominique turned to J-9, who had been staring at the ground. The man then turned to the seasoned hunter, before parting his lips to make a request.
"Hey, can you take a moment to check something out real quick?" In the instant that Morgan turned to react, J-9's eyes would generate a semi-large holographic map of the area. Using satellites, the machine dictated where the soldiers where in the forest as well as the party's current location on the map. It seemed that they would be fine for a small portion of time, but an escape route was necessary. If anything, it was possible for the crew to spend the night, but Dominique was trying to avoid that with hope of taking a chance in finding an actual tavern to stay at.

Using his finger, he pointed out where they were on the holographic map. He did not touch it, he merely pointed.
"From here, the best way to get into Beijing-2 is moving north for about four miles. Then we cut right until we hit the shore, and walk another four miles until we hit the outskirts of the city. From there, we are going to have to get over the wall and then we're home free. The population inside is so thick that no one will be able to find us. We'll be hidden for at least a solid day or two, if we really want."

Morgan rolled her eyes at the blonds comment and just let out a heavy sigh. The jungle was not her idea of a good time. The heat and humidity along were fairly unbearable, and the sharp temperature drop which followed in the evenings was a recipe for disaster in terms of health. Her amber eyes scanned over the map that was brought up taking in the challenges that laid ahead. They maybe had two hours tops before they would be caught up to, if the goons were good at tracking.Other wise they had a little while longer. She gnawed on her bottom lip in thought as the plan was laid out. "There's no way we can keep moving through night fall... and there's a chance of being spotted by the wall. The fact that the we were shot down from orbit means that the bastards influence has damn near taken over the planet. No matter where we go. We run the risk of being in serious trouble..." She muttered softly as she crossed her eyes.

Thinking a moment longer she reached out her arm and pointed to a small village near the wall. "There... I know of a few people there. We can scope it out and see how the town has changed. It's a small urban center mostly people live there and commute out to work. I doubt there would be much influence here." She suggested. "We can hide here for a day or so and see what's really over the wall first."

"Let's get to that village. We'll spend the night there and figure out how to get over that wall tomorrow. Or the day after if we're feeling lazy..." The end of the sentence was murmured slightly as the bounty hunter's hand moved to his own chin. J-9, in the meanwhile, had scanned the entire village before deeming it safe to travel. In response to this, Dominique had decided that it was time for robot to take some time off. Chances were his internal battery was running low, and Dominique certainly did not want to run the risk of having him short-circuit. A repair would be a cost that was so expensive that even the young novice bounty hunter could not cover the costs at that given moment.

Bringing a cell phone shaped device out of his pocket, he pressed a couple of buttons before the robot immediately imploded within itself. What was left of the second-long transformation was a small box of metal. It was amazing just how much technology advanced each and every year. Honestly, even if it had been but four years earlier, there was no way that Dominique would have been able to use such technology. Simply put, it did not exist. The cube would lift into the air and fly into the palm of the young man's hand, who stuck it in his pocket before turning to face the village. Then, without another word, he began walking toward it.

"Guess i'm lucky to have you around, if you actually do know anyone in this village."

Morgan sighed softly as she brought up her digi-pad and scanned through the list if contacts that were sorted by Planet. "I have five.... One of which owes me a favor so we should have a place to crash for the night." she muttered softly before there was a small ding. A messaged popped up on the side which she tapped into. it was her AI Scion once more. "Yeah lets move... weather reports are favoring extreme cold tonight. The kind that cause frostbite with in seconds." She muttered before slipping the small pad into one of the numerous pockets which lined her Jacket.

Taking the lead Morgan trekked through the jungle making sure not to hack down any leaves of leave any obvious signs of where they were headed. It was easier to tread lightly and cover tracks then be followed and interrupted during a time of much needed rest. She was fine for the moment but that was only because they were still moving, once they stopped for the night she was sure the aches and pains for the rough landing would kick in. Moving would not be something she would want to do much of.

Dominique let out a small sigh."Well, it's a good thing I came dressed." That was a lie. Dominique had some stuff on him, but nothing to keep him warm throughout the night. He would surely die if not for finding that one person who owed Morgan a favor. As night time swiftly approached, the two were practically devout of options; despite the fact that it was not as though they had many to begin with. Upon arriving to the outskirts of the village, Dominique was approached by a man wielding a futuristic rifle. He was dressed like a soldier, and even had a crest - presumably, from a ruling family's line - upon his chest plate. This led Dominique to believe that the village was actually ran by a man who had no affiliations with the city itself, which it rested outside of.

When the guard asked Dominique of his business regarding the village, the young man waited for a moment before answering. "H-Hello, sir... Me and my wife were traveling home when we ran out of fuel and crashed in the jungle." Shifting his posture slightly so that he could outstretch a hand to Morgan, Dominique continued looking at the man. "We are devout of supplies and do not want to freeze in the cold. My lady has a friend in your village who we were going to speak about spend the night with." The guard asked for the name of the person - something Dominique didn't know. So, he turned to his partner to respond to the question. If the guard had figured they were bounty hunters, there was a chance he would not let them in. Though they were few and far between, most of the time the occupation happened to be looked down upon rather than glorified.

Morgan hung back as they approached the town and analyzed the situation a moment. The town hadn't been guarded before hand so the change wasn't very reassuring. Good new was she didn't recognize the guard so there was still a chance of things working out. Sighing softly Morgan pulled her coat closed taking on a more passive stance as oppose to the normal aggressive one she carried and approached.

"My friend? Cortigon. Charles Cortigon. It's been a while since I last visited so I'm not sure if he is still here." She spoke up keeping her voice fairly soft. Her eyes scanned the building behind him taking not of the run down state of the town. She watched as the guard checked over some papers readying a knife in case things went sour.

The guard gave the two bounty hunters a solid look. Then he turned sideways, allowing the two entrance. Dominique thanked the men, essentially grabbing Morgan by the hand and pulling her along as he went. Eventually, he slowed his pace enough to let her lead. It was not like he knew where he was going to begin with, The village was set up rather elaborately; the school was easy to point out. As was a single place of worship. Did everyone in the village follow the same faith? Dominique found himself rather curious as a result.

When it came to the actual plot of residences, the set up was quite interesting. There were only town-houses, meaning that everyone had the same level of wealth. If not, they were certainly forced to live in the same way. Any crime that existed was condensed to the same area; everyone constantly were forced to live upon one another despite the circumstances. Dominique's mind raced with various ways of how the set-up worked, despite the fact that, in reality, he had no clue.
