The continent of Summa is separated in two by the Altid range of mountains with only a few narrow paths connecting them. To the North is Borras, to the South Austri.
Borras is a rugged landscape with many hills. The area is rich in minerals, but doesn't have much farmable land. The formation of the land makes travel and communication difficult. Historically multiple different militarized territories have often fought with each other for land and control of the area.
Austri has forests, farmland, access to the sea, and strong trade. However they don't have access to metals without trading for them. The ruler of Austri is a monarch with a privy council they must answer to. The council has noble families from all of the districts, each district also has multiple families that are noble or of higher standing. All of them are vying for more power and favor through petty squabbles and sometimes assassinations. This causes new policies and orders to take years to be passed, then years to be put into effect, at which point they are usually no longer needed or useful. This also means that Austri doesn't have a very unified or organized military.
We will follow the people and their many stories.
Let us begin. Where are you from? The North or South?
