The insult made Sienna scowl. It made her regret her decision to go with something lighter first. Really, she just should've stabbed the bitch right off the bat. At least that would've been a little more interesting. Now she was just getting insulted like they were in grade school. Sienna hated to admit that it worked. Though, Kaiya seemed to be unperturbed in general. She was more worried about her friends than scared of what was happening. By the looks of most of the hero's class, this was pretty out of place for them. They weren't trained for this yet. It was pure chaos. Kaiya was one of the few who weren't reacting out of fear. One of the ones who would probably do the best in the career. But that just made her more of a target for Sienna.
For only being in class hardly a week or two, Kaiya was a bit fast in her reactions. At least faster than Sienna had originally anticipated. The first one came too close for comfort. the only reason Sienna had managed not to get hit was her normal reaction kicking in, but it threw her off for a second. The last one hit. Sienna had forgotten what that was like, usually just hiding, finishing the job, and then being able to leave. Now she actually had to hold her own and it already wasn't going well for her. She wasn't built for lasting in a fight like some of these students. Even Ezra could hold her own better than Sienna ever could.
But Sienna had a weapon. They were supposed to distract, not kill, but it was tempting. Sienna would have to deal with the guilt afterwards, and the nightmares, but that was something to deal with later. Pain pulsed where she had been hit, but now she was focused. They were in rather close proximity, and it seemed like a good time to strike. Instead of hitting anywhere that could possibly kill her, which was hard to do anyway considering the constant motion, Sienna decided to aim to sink the blade into some part of Kaiya's shoulder. It'd probably miss, maybe hitting an arm that came up to block it. Sienna was well aware that this would leave her open, but her revenge was far more important in the moment. Plus, if it dropped too far, then the blade would be conveniently placed near Kaiya's stomach. There was a reason knife fights didn't last long after all.
