Today had been a long day for Taeko she stretched her arms a small yawn escaped her mouth. She had seen a lot of other students all of which were trying to reach the top. She giggled thinking back to some of the strange way the others looked. Like the girl with tentacles for hair a girl who wore a surgical mask some others with rather bright hair and a very large mountain of a man. All of which got a nice laugh out of her but now it was time to turn in for the day arriving at her dorm room Taeko opened it. Inside she found someone else had gotten to the room before her and was now had set up shop where they saw fit. Taking a step into the room Taeko gave a polite bow to the girl before looking around. "Did you just arrive into the room? I stopped by before hand but I had to leave for the bathroom so I didn't get a chance to settle in yet." This was of course a lie Taeko hadn't even seen the room yet until just now walking over to the bottom bunk of the bunk bed the other girl had chosen she sat down in it. "These beds are rather comfy I hope you aren't bothered but I have a rare condition called Sleep Quirkiosus. It's mostly common in children around my age it's a sickness that causes one to activate their quirk in their sleep. My poor Uncle may his soul find peace had the same sickness. Once again this was another lie as well as far as Taeko knew there in fact was no such thing as Sleep Quirkiosus nor did her Uncle have it. In fact Taeko didn't even have an Uncle to begin with all her lying made her recall the reason she was even here in the first place.

-Flashback-
"Watch your mouth Taeko!" Back in Taeko's middle school she got into an argument with a very loud girl who wanted to become a hero. All Taeko had said is that she would need to work on being more popular since that was what truly mattered. Well this girl didn't take to kindly to her advice so Taeko went on. "All I'm saying is that #1 heroes become such because their popular. Just look at All Might. Everyone loves him and you can't find someone who doesn't know his name." The girl refused to accept it still. "That's because of his efforts!" Taeko was getting annoyed by this girl so she shrugged her shoulders. "Fine then I'll show you. I'll become a hero and prove you don't need to be heroic to be a hero."
-Flashback end-

Taeko hadn't seen that girl since middle school but she figured after she achieves her goal she wouldn't have to go looking for her. Since her face would be on billboards everywhere the girl would find her. The thought gave way to a smile on Taeko's face more fitting for that of a villain. Taeko then realized she hadn't even gotten the girl's name. "I'm Taeko Yasuhiro by the way a pleasure to meet you." She stood from the bed and held out her right hand to the girl then quickly pulled it away to hold out her other hand. "Sorry I should warn you not to touch my right hand it's....complicated." By that she meant there was nothing wrong with it she just thought it'd be funny to make this girl really wonder what her quirk was.

Somewhat recovering from her awkward introduction Yukari turned to see someone else enter the room. The girl instantly made her feel better about her introduction as she realized her's wasn't nearly as robotic and forced as the new girl. Before she could responded a knock came at their dorm door she looked around the room at the other two girls. She stood up from her bed and stepped past the octopus headed girl to open the door. Seeing there was now a fourth girl who would be joining them Yukari stepped out of the way to let her in. Yukari's confidence in being able to talk with these girls dropped as their numbers made her more self conscious she might say something stupid. A quick thought back to her mother steeled her nerves though and she spoke clearly to the three girls in the room. "I'm Yukari Tanaka but you can call me whatever you like. It's nice to meet you guys. I hope we get along." She then bowed to the girls to show her respect to them. A big smile hidden behind her cold eyes and mask proud she did such a good job introducing herself this time. Standing straight up she looked around the room at the girls waiting for them to introduce themselves next. The feeling of a new school and new people to meet was actually beginning to not seem so bad to Yukari.

  • Dorms - Tarou's Room

After finishing up the bag, one thing could be said for certain. Money was by far the best part. Going to school was a bit of a weak activity in Tarou’s eyes, but doing it and getting paid? That’s another thing. A good thing. A great thing even. There was exactly 30000 yen in the pile. Not too bad, considering that they were already provided with food, place to leave and all the other necessities. Wait, so if we get that every month, and I don’t spend ANYTHING. Well, not anything, I need to buy something sometimes, so let’s take 5000 yen monthly for necessities. You could practically see Sasaki’s head getting redder and hotter, while he worked on his ‘extremely’ difficult math task. He finally got his answer after some time of pondering. I’LL BE A MILLONARE AFTER JUST 1 YEAR. A giant smile appeared on his face, and he gave off an audible “YES!”, almost completely ignoring Nero’s statement. He connected the dots by looking at the rod he was assembling. Wait… He wants to get me from afar?! I know! He’ll want to fish me. That’s what he was asking about. “NO!” He wanted to slap himself for being this loud. “I mean… I don’t think so. There are no ponds or rivers nearby and fishing people is illegal.” He stopped for a second. “Especially if they’re bald.” The last part was way more dramatic than it had to be.

Tarou's statement earned a cocked brow from Nero, "fishing people?" Now the shark breed was even more confused, "I meant fishing, as in catching fish with a bait and hook? Like bass, or trout, grouper, or Net fishing for shrimp, cage fishing for lobsters and crabs or other crustaceans?" Nero said the baldy noticing his head resembled that of a cherry. Why was it red? Shaking his head he returned his thoughts to his roommate. Maybe he suffered more damage from his fight against sensei after all. Shaking his head he went back to maintenance on his reel. "I wouldn't mind if I could head out to the river or lake and catch some fish, maybe even be able to host a fish fry for our class, or something....let me tell you something. I make some pretty good crab cakes, I bet the others would love them!" He said happily, the thought of fishing and cooking always made Nero happy, he enjoyed fishing and sharing his catch with others. He was especially proud of his crab cake recipe.

Mocha looked forward, seeing a delinquent-esque student. Immediately, Mocha judged her as a rowdy type of person, especially because of her face-mask. She thought of how annoying it would be to deal with someone like her. Mocha stepped in through the doorway but was immediately greeted with a bow and an introduction. Perhaps I misjudged, she received her bow with a salute. Quickly standing up straight she brought her hand to forehead and her other straight down at her side, "My name is Mocha Cwraith, I'd prefer if you called me Mocha, but I will allow for pet-names once we are all well acquainted." She brought her saluting hand down, relaxed her posture, and looked Yukari in the eyes, "It's a pleasure to meet you." She swiftly jerked her eyes away, looking through the rest of the room. After taking in the space she'd spend the next year in, or more, she asked the other roommates, "and what may your names be?"

"Maybe you're not drinking the right whiskey then." Then again, what would she knew about drinking the right drinks? She wasn't picky about her liquor at all, she'd drink whatever she saw and was given. Yori takes a side glance towards the man's tail which had fallen to the ground, grinning just slightly at it. 'How cute, but it must be a pain to handle sometimes.' Unconsciously she mimics him by scratching the back of her own head, looking away briefly as she nods along with him, acknowledging his question. "Mmhm, just the kids getting all settled in. You should have seen some of them, they were really nice and cute, and I know I probably said this already, but I'm really excited to be teaching them this year. It's been something I've been looking forward to for a while."

Yori wrings her hands slightly, walking towards the exit of the canteen at a slow pace with hopes that Madamushi-san would follow. She wanted to at least converse for a little while more before her exhaustion would lead her face down in her bed. The woman was hoping that her night would be a lot more eventful than just passing out in her room, in fact she wanted to settle somewhere with a nice glass of wine, some candles for atmosphere illuminating the area just wonderfully, along with the lights being off and some nice jazz pieces being played on a recorder. Well, a woman could dream. "Is it straight to bed for you, then?"

  • Hachiman Kageyama
Time & Location | 10:35PM, Male Dorms - HaChiKen Room

If this was what his other roommates were gonna be like, maybe Hachiman should just request a room change. Though that's assuming the others are any better and aren't annoying him because of something as stupid as a giant duck plushie that he didn't notice before they pointed it out. And even if he did notice it, why in the world would he care? It looks like something a child would have, though it did with the bastard's image as he did have a child-like appearance. To Hachiman, at least. All he wanted was just some goddamn rest, and something as simple as that wasn't possible right now due to this roommate who's name he still didn't know.

Then came the sound of the door opening, to which he turned his head to see who his next roommate was. And it so turns out to be a rather tall and gigantic foreigner with what sounded like a thick european accent. "You're not interrupting anything," he responded. The thicc guy wasn't interrupting anything, and Hachiman was actually relieved to have been rid of the dumbfuck who was now in awe of the new roommate. He was certainly big, probably bigger than most of the teachers now that he thought about it. Well, whoever this roommate is he can only hope that they aren't as annoying as the guy admiring the guy.

Maybe now he can finally rest for the next day, introductions could be done then. But before that, all the while that child is still focused on the new arrival, he might as well just get his mp3 player and listen to that as he sleeps. Some Kenshi Yonezu or Tatsuro Yamashita could always help him ignore stuff and sleep a bit easier. Casually getting off the bottom bunk, he then moves toward his stuff and was about to rummage through it but a few words made him turn his head towards the giant and the short guy who had the stupid idea of this guy being secretly a teacher to assess them.

Beating a teacher would be a hard task, and considering the fact that not even the three top students could beat a single one, they had no chance of winning anyways. So the two of them wouldn't be enough to beat a teacher, if this guy was one. Then came the runt saying he was slow, which he absolutely wasn't. To that, Hachiman responded the way he wanted to. And that is, by using his quirk and shooting the back of this brat's(Chiru's) head with a small beam projected from his index finger whilst his left hand was in a finger gun position. The force would be about as powerful as a hard poke at the back of the head.

"I am not slow, kid." He most likely broke a rule by using his quirk(even something as minor as just basically poking them with a beam), but fuck it. He was feeling annoyed and pissed off, and that's all the reason he needed.

Her attempt at laying claim to everything she wanted was cut short as the door opened to reveal a girl with black twintail drills. She finished fussing with her items and stood up straight from the desk at the opposite side of the room. Finding it rude to just address the girl from opposite ends of the room she took a few steps forward to be nearer the center as she looked the girl over. 'Fancy...' She muttered almost silently under her breath. The fact that she had unlocked the door meant they were roommates... Or that she forgot to re-lock the door. Either way she replied to the new girl's bow with a small one of her own. "I've been here a few minutes." As the girl approached the bed she stepped to the side, realizing that she was actually blocking access. That explanation would explain why she seemed to be the first one. She was thankful for the timing as it allowed her to be the one in the room greeting those coming in rather than forced on display for those already occupying it.

"Sleep... Quiki-osis?" Sure she wasn't the most worldly knowledgeable of people but she had never heard of such a thing. Maybe she simply never had it as a kid? The idea of activating your quirk in your sleep wasn't a pleasant one. She could only imagine what would happen if she suffered from that. Even so she pushed a gentle smile to her lips. "Don't worry about it, I wont be bothered by your quick activating......" She trailed off near the end as she actually thought of what she was saying before continuing. "Depending on what it is, I think. I'd probably be a little surprised to wake up to fin the bed floating or something."

With the introduction she instinctively reached out her hand only to stop mid-way as Yasuhiro pulled her's back. She looked at the girl inquisitively but was immediately met with an explanation. "Oh..." Toki instead raised her left hand to shake the girl's hand. "I'm Tokihana Ellion, you can call me Toki." Still, the display had made her curious and so as she let go of the other girl's hand she continued. "If you don't mind me asking, Yasuhiro-san, what's your quirk? Is the ban on touching your right hand a permanent thing?" She glanced down at the girl's hand, curious what kind of quirk would make it dangerous to simply touch her hand.

As soon as the words were out of her mouth the door opened to reveal a cute blue-haired girl. Without so much as a word the girl went over to the opposite bunk and and fell onto the bed with a light thud. With some mumbled words she couldn't understand the newcomer seemed to drift off to sleep. The entire display left her with so many questions. Best she could guess is she wasn't actually the first one there and, like Taeko, it had simply been a matter of timing. Even so the girl was obviously exhausted to zonk out like that so she turned back to Taeko and offered her a shrug to indicate she knew as much she did.

Thoughts:
What interesting Roommates.

Ken was still standing in the door frame as the two roommates looked at him. He watched at the one on the top bunk jump down and pointed at him. Ken blinked at this as he was called huge and then smirked as he then started to flex his muscles at what he was taking as a complement. His lower back arms curled downwards to his hips, his original arms link by holding the other's wrist, and his upper back arm curled upwards above his head but they were obscured by he outside the room still in this pose; He was doing 3 different arm poses of body builders, the Front Lat Spread the Side Chest and the Front Double Biceps respectfully, though he was doing them improperly. "Why Thank You!" He said proudly.

As the one that approached him started poking him, Ken looked to the one that was still in his bed and nodded as he told Ken he wasn't interrupting anything. His attention then turned back to the one poking him, and should be feeling some heat coming off Ken's body, as he commented about his speech and asked if that was his quirk. "No not really. My quirk is essentially these arms of mine." He told the smaller roommate as he decided to show him what he meant. Ken then started to shrink back to his everyday 6 feet 6, two armed, and still muscular self as the arms on his back retracted back into his body. Now he was able to walk under the door way without having to duck a bit under it. "Basically, that transformation is my quirk." He said as he finally stepped in and shut the door behind him while still having his top half of his uniform draped over one his arms.

As the roommate that was in his bed got up from it, Ken was surprised to hear the one that approached him call him an undercover teacher. As the smaller one gestured to the roommate that left the bed Ken looked between them with a raised eyebrow. Ken then chuckled as he watched the other roommate fire a beam at the back of the smaller one's head. "Ha ha. No small one, I am not a teacher. But I am flattered you think of me in such high regard on first sight. As you should." He told them as he struck another bodybuilding pose (The Side Chest again), but was doing it more properly now. "No, my perfect physique still has a way to go to prove its greatness to all." He said with a chuckle then patted the roommate that approached him. The way he said it didn't sound like he was being arrogant but more like a humble brag somehow. He then walked in and looked around the room. "As for you being able to beat me, well you might be able to but if you want to go by the Entrance Exam rankings, then I might just win as I'm ranked #6." He said to them both in a bragging way as he had a smirk on his face.

Ken then looked around the room and saw how the school had it set up. "Huh, smaller than I expected." He thought out loud before going to the bunk bed across from the one his two roommates seem to take. He claimed the bottom bunk by setting the top half of his uniform at the end of the bed. He then took the white bag with the supplies they mentioned at the principles speech and looked through it. "Oh, wow a Allmight calendar." He said as he started to flip through it now. Seeing all the poses Allmight was doing in the calendar photos, Ken started to do them too to see if he could mimic the #1 hero.

Letting his jaw gape open, Ray would let out a long yawn, making his way to his dorm with the directions he had been given hours prior. Spending most of his time exploring the campus, taking interest in the gym, which was on par with the one back at home.. Ryo even took the time to bathe in the sun for a few hours, taking the day to truly rest his body that was typically in pain.

One could say that his day was successful, or at the very least he enjoyed it. And that wasn't considering the wonderful encounter he had with a young woman who he'd undoubtedly be looking for again..-As he was able to easily piss her off, and she was by no means shy. She actually came off as cute to him, which instantly broadened the terms Ryo could use to poke and prod at her. While it was strange for him to think so much about a random person; much less planning how he'd annoy them, Ray could care less. He'd get to enjoy himself, and that's all that currently mattered.

Slowly making his way to the dorm, Ryo didn't really have a reason to meet his dorm-mates, other than not having anything else to do. So at this point, Ray was just praying that his roommates were at least somewhat sensible.. Ryo would ask for his key somewhat politely, making his way to his room.

With a bag hung over his shoulders, and another hefty bag being dragged behind, Ryo would groan as he saw someone in the doorway of his room. "You gonna stand here all night? 'Cause I'm tryin' to settle in." With his blazer in hand, he'd simply be wearing a white tank top and dress pants, having changed his shoes to sneaks' hours prior. And while there was a hint of sarcasm in his voice, it was clear he wasn't the friendly type.

Vertigo felt a little bad that the first person he expected Tokage to blame was Michiko. He supposed that he wasn’t very surprised at it being Yori either, but he definitely didn’t know the woman well enough to go suspecting her of snatching food from another teacher. Though hearing the other teacher spit venom with her words was typical enough that he was able to just shrug it off. He tried to get a feel of the other homeroom teacher’s personalities at the very least.
“Hmm Yori-san huh? Well wanna go find her?”
He figured it couldn’t hurt to go see exactly why the woman was apparently snatching food from the smallest teacher there. Either way it was something to do. He was quick to wave goodbye to Jia who seemed to have planned to go around and meet with the rest of the facility as well. He put away his snacks back into his vest pocket as he started walking turning back to Tokage as he began to speak.
“Oh yeah what do you have planned for your students for the first day anyways? I just got done deciding less than twenty minutes ago. Hopefully I’ll be a better teacher than I was as a student.”

"Yes, sure, thanks Hone-san. Good night." Junsou said in a soft tone as she watched the girl -Riba- lay on her bed again. It was obvious to Junsou that she didn't want to take the conversation any further. Well, conversation would be saying too much. Junsou didn't want to disturb her any longer and so she sat on her bed again, meditating. She wasn't sleepy yet so she figured she'd wait for her other roommates.

Not even a moment later she heard someone come in and then greet her. The feeling she got when Riba came returned and she meditated a little harder. She hoped the girl won't think she's ignoring her or something. Just a little longer.

When she felt she was ready, which was about a minute, she opened her eyes and looked at the... little girl with a neutral expression. Well, she looked like a little girl just like Barun-sensei. She introduced herself as Mahouka. Which means there's only one girl left to meet.

"Hello, nice to meet you Omutsu-san. I'm Junsou Atsushi." Junsou introduced herself as she stood up which was kind of bad decision because of the height difference. It was to late to reverse her actions now so she hoped for the best.

Tazu would've inquired about the kinds of whiskeys Yori drinks, but he pretty much already knew the answer. But as her second answer to his question was answered. He was a bit relived that the day would just consist of the students getting settled in, until he realized that that likely meant that he'd be meeting his new students for homeroom, and while he wanted to meet them, a part of him also wanted tomorrow to be a just a calm quite day. Maybe he could do some class activity... like nap time. Kiddos like nap times, right? He thought to himself, a bit too embarrassed to talk to Yori about it. Oh well, it didn't quite matter. And just then, his thought of a possible nap time mid class, Yori asked him if it was straight to be now with him, and while the thought of enjoying her company more, his body wouldn't forgive him. "I'm afraid so... see you tomorrow Yori-chan" He said, as he began to walk away, his tail sagging behind him as he walks, as if he were some defeated soldier from some battle.

Maybe she was just shy. That had to be it. I mean, she did give her name as an introduction, so she probably meant well, but she made such a quick work of that that perhaps she just didn't want to expose herself... or something. Maybe, like, she only acted like she did because she didn't know of any other way to act. I managed to form a soft smile and resisted the urge to take her hand as I spoke.

"Nice to meet you, then, Shimizu-san. Once again, I hope we can work together and get along in our time as roommates. You can tell me anything you'd like to share. I promise I'll keep it a secret." I winked, then made the request that the other girl would say my actual name. The smile on my face stuttered out of existence at her rude retort, in which she even called me by that shortened name again, and I found my feet wanting to pull back from the sheer hostility of it. No, wait. Perhaps letting her have what she wanted would be best? I mean, if she WAS shy, maybe that name was just her attempt at giving me a nickname she was comfortable with... yeah....I swallowed, trying to absorb the news of what I would be called. "Eh? But, but.... I guess Yashi's fine... Oh, by that I mean "Yashi-san", of course, not just "Yashi"... it'd make us look so close, oh it's not that I don't want to be close to you Shimizu-san, eh, I mean, I, I, not close in THAT way, but you know, oh I'mnot making any sense anymore, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

As if that screw-up wasn't bad enough, there was the whole bully fiasco after. What the hell was I thinking? Of course that wouldn't go well, calling a shy girl a bully, how horrible could I be? Still be? Ah, she probably hated me now! My head was racing faster than the speed of light, but I couldn't bring myself to actually say anything with how guilty I felt about the whole matter. I simply looked down, twidling with my thumbs.

"She didn't have to call my questions dumb though.... even though they maybe were." I muttered under my breath and pout, lower than she could hear. Well, at the very least it was clear she wasn't in the support class now. Given how shy she was acting, I«d say she was from general studies. My sulking was interrupted by the sudden entrance of a bunny girl, not the showy... that kind... but an actual bunny girl, with real years and vocabulary to match. The most surprising thing about her though, was her energy. Wasn't she nervous at all? Meeting new people, making a first impression before those who would be her roommates for a year at least. She was very brave at the least. I didn't really have time to praise her mentally much longer, as she quickly made an introduction and I simply noddeed and smiled at it, while at the same time I was wondering how I was supposed to have guessed who she was and what "a hopping wonder" was. Was I supposed to jump, was it a reference to something or just a greeting from wherever she was? Did her whole family talk like this or was she a unique case? I felt my curiosity nagging at me, but I couldn't just ask them right away. "N-nice to meet you too, Car-stairs-san?... Is that a foreign name? It sounds english.... Uh, I'm not trying to pry or anything! I'm actually new to this too and uhm..."

Part of me was hoping to get interrupted by my other roommate, but I soon recalled, she was shy. That was probably why she wasn't replying to our extra energetic bunny girl, only scribbling. I approach Cairstaires, and whispered in her year hoping Shimizu-san wouldn't notice or hear it.

"She's a really shy girl.... could I ask you to forgive her rudeness a bit? I'll make it up to you. Right now, she is being really kind and smart and making us all some rules for the dorm. So that you and I who are new to this can hang out together better. She must have better experience with this than us." I told the bunny girl through that whisper. As soon as I was done, our last roomie showed up and bowed as she introduced herself. Only then did I realize I forgot to bow with my nerves, so I bowed so hard in response I almost slammed my head into the ground. "N-nice to meet you too, Nagai-san!"

I got up again, and cleared my voice. It was a little comforting, frankly, to have someone around who was as nervous as I was.

"W-well then, since you're taking the bunk bed above the one I made a mess on, I will take the bed below you, Nagai-san" I said, forgetting I had also kinda made a mess of the top bunk on that side, the right one. "Oh, and I haven't introduced myself to the two of you yet, have I? I am Akacha Yugoyashi, from the support class, it's nice to meet you! I hope we can get along..."

But maybe things were a little too awkward right now.

"How about we go get some sleep, now that our beds have been decided? I'm feeling a littl tired after today, personally. Even though we didn't do all that much."

  • "You were? Huh, that one certainly seems out of touch with the context of our conversation. I mean, it's not like the kids breaking the rules today knew they were breaking the rules, according to the principal's instructions anyway, and I do think these were minor rules. Even by your own words just now, though, we should first attempt to teach them to respect the rules, make them fear the rules later, if it fails. Not that I'm much of a leader, or ever was...." I took the final sip on the remaining food before going to the kitchen. Perhaps a good topic to learn from and about, my old friend's perspective. "So, do tell me, what would you do if you did have that power, to just kick out the students? Would you just kick anyone you disapproved of or who challenged you? Wouldn't that just make you a tyrant? What if YOU were in charge of the PSA?"

Both me and my friend went over the remainder of our meal, then I said my goodbyes and left, now rightfully relaxed. I headed to the extra chambers, to my room, one of the closest to the principal, as I was in fact, his informant here. Thanks to my quirk, it was easy to acquire information and track motion from all around the school facilities. Still, he didn't want me actually sleeping in the rooms immediately next to him. I never protested about it and I wouldn't tonigh either. I simply sat down on the bed and got out of the armor, then went to fall asleep.

Once the boy introduced at Suimma Mizu, Avery lowered his hands and put them behind his back with his eyes darting towards the other boy. He studied there features before deciding to finally ask the question. “I recon ya two know each other?”

Avery moved out of the way of Mizu as he went to his bed though he kept talking. “Mom always said I could read faces and expressions, called it a gift.” His over explaining could have been taken for boasting, but that was the last thing on his mind. “Alright! I’ll let ya hit the hay. What about you stranger?” His gaze turned to Daisuke, waiting for an answer from the other roommate, though he had to stop once a boy in the doorway wanted him to move. “Oh of course! Guessing you want to rest too after the long day? Completely understandable. May I get your name though?” He then threw a question to Daisuke. “That fight was something to behold wasn’t it?” The stars came back in his eyes as he recalled the fight with Tokage and the students. “That girl though! She was somethin’ else, the way she risked her life for her classmates! She was a true hero.” There was a bleeding though in the back of Avery’s head, one that made his heart ache again. However, the words from before came to his mind

Vertigo seemed to wonder about her teaching homeroom.
“Nothing much, just some introductions. Though I’m planning on seeing their view on heroism and what it means. Everyone’s opinion is different.” Then he talked about his student life. “Ya, I wasn’t the best either. Dorms - Tarou's Room
    22:14

A small yawn was a signal for Tarou, that it’s time to sleep, and nothing complimented sleeping like a good shower. He stayed for a big in his bed, to listen about Nero’s fishing, crab cakes, and all the other stuff, and ultimately, regarded those as more threats to his well being. First he wants to fish me and now he says that I’d make a good crab cakes?! I’m not even a crab. The sole mention of food didn’t work in Tarou’s favor, with his stomach rumbling with an audible sound. It was too late to eat now, and Sasaki didn’t have any snacks on him, so the only thing to do was to endure the sensation silently. He quietly got down from bed, and onto the cold floor. “So um…” He tried to assemble his words carefully, not to anger the shark in the room. “I’m sure that I’m… I mean those crab cakes, are delicious. I'm DYING to try them, heh.” He tried to muster a smile. With mixed results. “I’m gonna go and take a shower.” He left with a swift bow, and headed to the bathroom. After a while of hygiene, he returned and quickly went to sleep with a swift “Good Night.”

And yet, he remained ever vigilant for the first half of the night, fearing that a shark might attack at any time… Sharks are nocturnal, right?

The bald one had said he would love to try Neros crab cakes, which made him happy. Though he said he was gonna bathe. Not exactly something that needed to be said but Nero supposed he could appreciate Tarous openness. Keeping his eyes on his rod as he began to string it, he did maintenance till he finished it, leaning it against the wall and getting cozy in his own bed.
After some time he closed his eyes and fell asleep, even hearing a good night from his roommate, though it earned no sound from the shark. His bed was soft, softer than bed he's ever owned, though his room didn't smell of the ocean, something that his home did smell of. Nero truly did wish he could fully appreciate the bed, but he was beginning to feel homesick as he fingers gently grazed the picture of his family under his pillow.

Yukiko was born today. Or maybe it was yesterday...
Yukiko was born today. Or maybe it was yesterday. On the day when I was busy packing for school, Father received a call. From my room I remember overhearing him say: "Shit, is it really? Present's in the mail. Send her my love. And take care of yourself." That doesn't mean anything. Maybe it was yesterday.

Peace Sign Academy might be in the south, approximately 50 kilometers from Kyoto. I will take the 5 a.m. bus and arrive there in the morning. That way I can be there early to check my belongings in time for the opening ceremonies. I tried to give Yukiko a call. She didn't pick up, and I was left wrestling with the automated voice message. I told her I was sorry to have missed her birthday.

I don't know why I did that. With school starting soon, it's not like I had anything to apologize for. She's the one who should be wishing me well. But she probably will when she sees me next. When she sees how well I'm acclimating to school life. For now, it's almost as if I'm not even in school at all. After today's orientation, everything will have a more official feel to it. Her birthday comes around once a year. Maybe I'll catch the next one.

I caught the 5 a.m. bus. It was very quiet...
I caught the 5 a.m. bus. It was very quiet. Most people were still asleep. Except for the bus driver and me. I sat at the back of the bus so as to avoid unnecessary conversation. I'm sure the bus driver noticed me though. When I got off, he tipped his cap and said, "Good luck." I thought that was very odd.

I showed the men at the luggage check my acceptance letter. It was a little ruffled because I'd sat on it by accident. They waved me on. Today must be a busy day for them. They said something that I didn't catch. I was distracted because I knew I had to get to the auditorium.

Ahead of me walked a group of students. I ran so as to not lose sight of them. We all walked into the auditorium together. They all must have agreed to find an open section to sit in. But I didn't want the added hassle so I took the nearest available seat. A clock on the wall read 8:12 am.

It was probably because of all the rushing around...
It was probably because of all the rushing around, and on top of that the bus ride, and the dizziness of the overhead lights, that I dozed off. I slept almost through the whole opening ceremony. And when I woke up, I was slumped against a girl who smiled at me and asked if I'd traveled a long way to be here. I simply answered, "Yes," just so I wouldn't have to say anything else.

The combat training room was a fair walk from the auditorium. I was still feeling drowsy from my nap so I lagged behind and had to sit in the back. I listened as the principal read aloud the PSA acceptance letter. I started feeling sleepy again. For a peculiar minute, I thought about home.

Once the fight started I didn't feel drowsy anymore. When it was over, all I could think about was how I wished it wasn't. The clock on the wall read 9:23 a.m. During free time nothing happened. I waited awhile until it was time to go to the dorms and then I went.

At 10 p.m. I walked through the door to my dorm...
At 10 p.m. I walked through the door to my dorm. 30 seconds. I found my belongings placed with care at the foot of one of the beds. None of my roommates had arrived yet. 27 seconds. I took a seat to test out the mattress. 25 seconds. Too firm.

The fluorescent lights buzzed loudly. I shut them off. 17 seconds. I sat down again in the dark. Then I got up and started to unpack. 10 seconds. Each student only had a modest amount of storage space. But I packed light so I didn't have trouble fitting it all. 5 Seconds... 4, 3, 2, 1.

When I finished unpacking I sank into the floor.

Suimma.png Mizuki "Mizu" Suimma
Boy's Dorm

10:18

Mizu ignored Avery's question and went along with unpacking his things. A toothbrush and toothpaste, some deodorant and shampoo, just the essentials. Mizu knew that at the bottom of the bag lied a soft dolphin plushy that his brother had snuck into his bag so that he'd get embarrassed if anyone saw it. He would've just waited until he was all alone so he could throw it, had this stuffed marine mammal not been his beloved childhood friend. So instead he'd keep it safe inside his bag, hidden from all eyes until he got home and when Mizuki did, he'd beat the stuffing out of his little brother.

Mizu looked back as their last roommate made his presence known to the rest of them. He was a few inches shorter than Mizu, but he was much more muscular. While Mizuki had a more slender, athletic build but this guy was a hulking pile of muscles. Judging by the first words that came out of the new guy's mouth, coupled with his physique it seemed evident that this guy was some jock character. Mizu may be an athlete, not that he was apart of any school teams or anything, but that didn't mean he got along well with jocks. But then again he barely knew this guy, so for the meantime he would sit back and see how the new guy interacts with Daisuke and Avery, just to see what kind of person he was.

When Mizu had finished unpacking he slid his duffel bag under the bunk bed using his foot and laid down on the lower bunk with his back against the mattress. The plan was to just go to sleep right away, but something Avery had said piqued his interest in their conversation.
“That fight was something to behold wasn’t it?” The stars came back in his eyes as he recalled the fight with Tokage and the students. “That girl though! She was somethin’ else, the way she risked her life for her classmates! She was a true hero.”
Mizu closed his eyes and tried to remember her name, but all he could remember was that it sounded foreign, probably American. The only thing he could remember about her was that she was kind of cute. 'Wow, that must really say something about me if I can remember her appearance but not her name.' He thought bitterly. Mizu cleared his throat a bit. It was his way of getting Avery's attention. Mizu would speak quietly, as he almost always did, so he figured as long as Avery was looking and paying attention to him Avery wouldn't have any trouble hearing what he had to say. "It was a good fight, yeah, they did pretty decently for going up against a teacher, anyways." Mizu sat up in his bed and stared directly at the wall ahead of him, acting as if Avery was standing over there rather then right beside him. "I wouldn't say she 'risked her life' though. I mean, it's not like the teacher was going to kill her or anything. Out of the three students, I'd say she performed the worst, considering that all she really did was use two or three attacks." It may have sounded a bit harsh but that really did seem like the case. But if Avery decided to whine and say otherwise then Mizuki would just drop the subject and go to bed.

Waking up, instructions for homeroom, and the night event

  • Monday April 2nd, 20h33, Female Dorms

On her hallway chair, Jurassica sighed, somewhat annoyed by the rumbling of her stomach. It just wasn't used to taking food in so fast, would it be like that every night? Would she have to ask the principal to let her dinner earlier, just so she could have a complete meal at her own pace before coming to watch for her beloved students? Or would she be stuck having to jam everything down her beak like one of those disgusting eating contests? She sighed again knowing it was no use complaining, especially to herself, as she did agree to take this task of watching the dorm's hallway alongside the tiny dragon, then they were to go wake up that drunk girl, to switch (her classes were usually later, so she could afford to sleep in the next morning a bit more). She was so cute when she was sleeping. Not as cute as Jurassica of course, or so she thought, not even as cute as a tiny dragon tollder in her pajamas, but cute indeed. Speaking of whom, where was she? Maybe the principal let her come a little later today because of her exhibition in the combat room. It was a bit show-off-y, though that was the point, and Jurassica did get to confirm these students indeed had a lot to learn and to train. If she wasn't mistaken, her class was the third one after homeroom and rescue training.

Her own thoughts were interrupted when a miss carrying a towel came. Did she miss shower time? Did she not read the rules? Jurassica cleared her throat to call the blond girl's attention.

"My apologies for not having learned your name yet, that should change within the next few days. You may be forgetting, but the time for showers is already over. I suggest reading your schedule more carefully next time around. I shall allow it this once for a pretty one like yourself, but in the future, be advised that students are to be in their rooms at this hour, or at most going out for the bathroom before tucking in for the night. Understood?"

Female Dorms || Her Dorm -> Bathrooms -> Her Dorm
    Monday, April 2nd -> Tuesday, April 3rd
    10:33pm -> 11:00pm || 6:50am

Kaoru wasn’t all that surprised to hear that another shadow quirk showed up in the academy at all after all her whole neighborhood had a bunch of similar quirks around without people being related. Honestly she was a bit used to being the only one around with it, but it was different having a useful quirk in a cast off neighborhood than having one in a place that anyone with any potential would wanna gather at. She was more surprised that the girl was in General Studies. Isn’t that the class for people who have no plans with their life?
Kaoru almost wound up blurting it out until Koinu jumped into the conversation. Kaoru was flattered by the idea that Koinu was excited to see her quirk. She gave Koinu a quick smile as she moved the white bag to the side of her bed. She was just about to answer the girl when she heard a quick thump next to her head. She turned slightly to the right and saw the girl laying on the floor precisely where she had been knocked over earlier.
“Welllll I guess that makes this day a wrap. Although I’m sure that I’ll have to say it again tomorrow I’m in support class. Interesting group we got here so far. Well G‘night”
Although she had fully intended to simply curl up and fall asleep, Koinu reminded her just too much of her brats. Even if she couldn’t manage to get the taller girl into a bed the least she could do was make sure she didn’t freeze. She was stood right on the edge of the bed and dragged down some of the bedding from the bunk on top of hers. She was careful to gently place it over the girl so that she was covered neatly from the neck down. There now there was no need to feel bad. She hopped back into her bed and bundled up into her handmade quilt.
    ----
When Kaoru woke up for the second time of the day she felt far more rested than the first. Already school was starting to get interesting. Waking up in the middle of the night wasn’t ideal but for this kind of mystery? She’d stay up all night if she could make herself. Initially it was already hard enough to fall asleep with the eerie quiet of the school, she was far more used to questionable yelling and sounds of the neighborhood drunks, but this took the cake. A creep moaning at night? Sounds like something to look into.
She stretched out with a yawn as she stood up being careful to move around Koinu as she began to get ready and change into her uniform. She was quick to grab her toothbrush, hair ties, and hairbrush. She knew what having a lot of people gathered in one place did. She was not waiting five years in line for the bathroom.
She scooted around and rushed for the door accidentally closing it more forcefully than she meant to. She rushed to the nearest bathroom fully intending to be the first there. She entered and let out a calming sigh as she saw she was the first in. With a calm leisurely pace she began to get ready enjoying her monopoly on the left sink and mirror. Once she was done she headed back to her dorm. As she opened up the door she noticed one of her roommates already getting up.

The light vibrations gently coursing through her body caused her to squirm beneath her sheets. The low buzzing sound permeated her ears, filtering into her mind to force out a quiet moan. Finally the stimuli became too strong and unable to hold back any longer her eyes gently opened as she reached over to grab her phone with a tired groan. With practiced movements she flipped off the silent alarm and groggily looked at the time. Even if it was routine she was not a morning person. The fact that she stayed up late last night certainly didn't help. "Maybe I'll just..." She mumbled silently into her pillow as she mulled over the possibility of just sleeping in. Surely she could skip a day. First day at hero school, stayed up last night, surely one day could be forgiven, right?

With a sigh she lazily pushed herself up and inched her way out of bed. The room was nearly pitch black with the only light being from the moon that still lingered in the sky. The only sound she could hear was the soft breathing from her roommates. Not about to wake them up she carefully and silently got to her feet and quietly padded over to her luggage. Her movements were slow and deliberate as she grabbed the items she wanted. A pair of shorts, a tank top, a hair scrunchy, everything she needed to get changed. The fact that everything she did took so damn long due to her trying to be quiet really put a damper on her morning routine. But as long as she shared her room with others she'd just have to find a way around that fact.

With her preparations finally finished she snuck her way out of the room, letting out a breath she didn't even realize she was holding once the door finally latched shut. "It's like I'm sneaking out of the house..." Far down the hallway she could hear footsteps causing a flash of realization. "Oh right, I am." Given the layout of the dorm she knew she couldn't slip past with any normal means. So with a silent feigned innocent whistle she walked over to the window opposite her room and looked at the paved walkways below. Once outside she took in a deep breath of air, fully enjoying the darkness just before dawn. "Well, no sense in wasting time." And with that she was off. She didn't fully know the layout of the campus so she didn't know the best route for her morning runs, but that's one of the things she was looking at as she jogged along. Sure she could have just looked at a map and decided where to go, but where's the fun in that?

Eventually she ended her run at the central garden, finding it a good place to slow down and finish off the rest of her routine. At this point the sun was already making it's presence known as it scattered it's light from just beyond the horizon. On the soft grass Sumi went through her stretches and form. Every day, without fail, she made sure to do her morning routine. Ever since she wanted to be a hero she had trained her body. As much as she liked her quirk, it wasn't useful in combat unless her body could keep up. And she wasn't about to fall behind some villain just because she wanted to sleep in! No sir! As she threw out the final punch she held her stance, her breath coming in ragged gasps as sweat dripped from her form.

After only a few seconds she collapsed like a wet noddle onto the ground, a long tired groan slipping past her lips as she flopped back. She was beginning to wonder, as her breathing slowed, if perhaps she had made a mistake. This was hero school after all. Obviously they'd do physical activities. The more she thought about it the more she worried her own routine might've done her in. "Shit..." After a few seconds reflection she let out a laugh between breaths and haphazardly waved her hand through the air to the sky above. "Well.. too late now..."

Hibiki woke up to feel of something brushing past his face. As he opened his eyes he looked straight up to find his roommate, Oto, half phased through the mattress staring at him with his long dark hair being what was touching his face. Immediately he closed his eyes again. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes again.
“Kamui-Chan is this gonna be an everyday thing?”
Even before he got his answer Hibiki felt like it was going to be a resounding yes. He slid off his headphones letting the song that was playing ring out before stopping it so he didn’t wake up his other roommates, who seemed to have got in after Hibiki had given into the call of sleep.
“Just make sure to tie up your hair next time please.”
Honestly even the next day he still didn’t know much of what to make of his new roommate. While he didn’t seem like a bad guy Hibiki still wasn’t quite over the fact that the dude apparently got a kick outta popping out of the floors of completely dark rooms. He was just glad the his roommate didn’t give him a hard time with Hibiki crashing immediately. Either way he would have just not heard as he slept with music anyways.
He rolled over and pushed himself up off the bed deciding to end the near staring match. Ugh mornings are awful who created them and why. He already wanted to go straight back to sleep and enjoy some extra time sleeping but the right thing to do would probably be to get up and get dressed for the day since he didn’t want to be late the first day.
He managed to sleepily bring himself to his bag that he didn’t even attempt to go through the night before beyond grabbing his mp3 player. He started to take out a few sets of clothes and place them on the bottom shelf of the closet, which he was totally claiming. He managed to get most of the way done when he reached the Endeavor Plushie he’d kept with him most of his life. He hesitated before placing it right next to his pillow. He dared anyone to say anything.
He reached the bottom and all that was left was his uniform. He was quick to change into it. He through folded his pjs neatly and placed them right under his pillow. He turned back to his roommate lifted his toothbrush.
“Gonna brush my teeth now, you coming...Does that clock really say what I think it does.”
Hibiki let out a groan as he saw just what the face of the clock read out. Six it was six in the damn morning he was very sure that he wasn’t gonna be late but now he wished he had initially just gone back to sleep like he wanted too. Well now he knew that Casper the friendly ghost was a very morning person. Lovely morning, at least he’d know that there was no need to rush to the bathrooms.

Ah... hnn... Mocha tossed in her bed. "Go away, I'm scared," a faint voice muffled in her mind. Mocha winced, her brow quivering with sweat. "Go away," the voice upset. Her hair was drenched in sweat, splayed over her pillow. "Go away, I'm scared," it repeated itself once again, "Go away, why won't you lea-!". Mocha's eyes shot open, immediately she sprung up in her bed with lightning speed. She reached out to grab something by her side, but there was nothing but air in her grasp. She swung her arm outwards as she rose. Suddenly her forehead unceremoniously met with the bottom of her roommate's bed, colliding with the frame underneath. "Arrrrgh!" Mocha groaned in pain as her head bucked backwards. Making quite a racket, she then rolled out into the middle of the room rubbing her forehead in pain while whimpered in agony. In her moans, Mocha had sporadically registered how loud she was being. She was sat along the ground in her pajamas, most of it displaced and drenched, also while caressing a small wound on her forehead, quite the pathetic image. She looked up and cleared her face of hair, prepared to see her roommates in anger.

Liu awoke gently as the the morning light streamed through the curtains which had been lazily arranged along the windows. "I can still sleep for a few more minutes" she muttered to herself as she pulled her covers over her head, fast determined to go back to sleep. But just as she once again drifted off to sleep, she awoken by a series of loud noises. For a brief second she contemplated to ignore it, but then the realization that the noises might have been the result of someone trying to break into the room so she let out a sigh of frustration looked around the room for a second. She quickly discovered that the source of the noises hadn't been an intruder, rather it had most likely been the result of her roommate who currently was sitting on the floor, clutching a small wound on her forehead. "Um, are you okay?" Liu asked with as much sympathy as she could muster as she slowly got out of her bed and walked over to her roommate.
