She smiles. "That is kind of you. But I don't think it is bad luck. But you do seem to know more about this then I do. I don't wish to harm anyone at all." Her face fell as she said that. Her hand coming up and rubbing the back of her neck. "I was just born like this. My mother and father new I was different when I was born. So I am the black sheep of my family." She kind of laughed.

Shifting uncomfortably, Nathaniel bit his lip, as he held on tightly to his bag, and looked up at the school building. The bag in his arms just contained his necessities. His extra shirt, pens, pencils, his dream journal, thread, needles, fluffing, some stuff a made, a sketch book, ect. He hoped he hadn't forgotten anything important. While at the house he used to live in, his toothbrush sat sadly by the bathroom sink.


Taking a step forward, he continued on with his journey to the school, all the while, staring directly at his feet as to avoid looking at anyone but himself. He already knew his own fears and weaknesses. Plus, it didn't work on himself. He was already inside his own mind. And sometimes, he wished he could just get out of it.


Picking up the pace when he heard the voices of several around him, he hurried to get inside. He could tell he was almost to the door when. . .


"Ah!"


He let out a quiet shout of surprise as he fell over, landing on his rear end. He rubbed his head where it got hurt when he ran into something. . .or someone. He was too scared to look up, but he had to know.


Without thinking, he covered his eyes tightly, and looked up.


Hopefully, he wasn't attracting too much attention. Running into walls or people and then being afraid to look at them for fear it's a person, was completely normal, right? For this school I mean.


He sighed, using one hand to cover his eyes, and the other to help himself up.


"My apologies." He said, whether there was someone there or not, and began to feel around for the door. The year was starting out wonderfully, just wonderful. . .

Kotsu starts riding small sound waves the school. Today had been his first year and there was nothing more exciting then sharing it with his best friend. Speaking of her, where is she? She said she would meet him somewhere on the way. Kotsu checked his watch. "Come on Yukiko, don't be late on me now.

"Hey bro, you like ok?" asked Henry as he took a step back, somewhat unphased by the boy bumping into him. He brought his board to the ground, standing over both of them at a towering 10'6, water dripping down onto the floor where he stood.

"Good night." She didn't know what to do. So picking him up softly. Looking around she just laid him on her bed. Just until someone would tell her what to do with him. She didn't feel good just leaving him like he was asleep. She sighed, great lets hope she doesn't get in trouble for doing this. Oh well she will learn fast enough.

Nathaniel shook his head, still feeling around for the door, as if to say no. But the words that came out of his mouth were quite different. "I'm fine. Completely, and totally fine." He said, still nervously feeling around for the door, his eyes covered. "Just going inside is all." He began to try and hurry up with his search for the stinking door. Where was that thing?


Where he had fallen, rested his bag. But he had forgotten about it at that point. He had just run into someone when he was trying his best not to be noticed so he could just get to his dorm room or whatever! His stupid ability made him not want to look at people, so he had trouble watching where he was going when others were there. That's why when he lived in his house, he'd just lock himself in his room, and get food when his parents went out. Which luckily, they did a lot. The images of death still came to him when thinking about them too much, so he immediately turned his mind back to the task at hand. Finding the stupid door.

Emmie peeked her head out the door to go and find someone the help with the little fox. Seeing a bunch of people. Walking out into the hall she tried to find her way back to the office to ask. She stayed away from people for fear of bumping into them. She didn't know if this was a good thing to be here or not. Not fitting in was something she was used to. So this may just be like school back at home. Well great for her she laughed to her self.

"I'm coming!" Yukiko called out to Kotsu as she flew towards him with her bag over her shoulder. Wings made of pink light on her ankles made her flight possible. She spent most of her morning stressing about whether or not she had everything. Before she knew it, she was ten minutes past the time she originally planned to leave her house. Prior to that, Yukiko sped off as fast as she could to catch up with Kotsu.


Yukiko had finally caught up with Kotsu and flew beside him. "Sorry I made you wait! I ended up worrying about whether or not I had everything and because of that, I ended up leaving a little late...", she apologized as she scratched the back of her head with her free hand. The other was holding onto her bag. Yukiko was really glad that he was going to this new school with her. She didn't know how she would make it through first year without her best friend.

Henry put a wet hand onto the boys head and twisted him around, as if examining him. "Ya sure bro? You look a little... flustered" stated the boy as water dripped down his hand, the water was a little cool as it ran off his hand.

Emmie finally getting to the office. She told them about the little fox that had fallen asleep in her room. They saying "We will get him back to his room for you." Emmie smiled "Thank you ma'am." She makes her way back out of the office. Might as well just walk around the place. Needing to know where things were here. Turning left she started walking. And looking around at things. This was a nice place. But the little fox was right. She was more human then most of the ones around here. Folding her hands behind her back she walks the halls. Seeing all forms of people. Knowing not to stare at people that was down right rude. So she kept to her self.

Nathaniel flinched at the feeling of being touched, and quickly clamped his other hand over his eyes as well. "I'm perfectly fine." He insisted, though quite softly, as he was turned around. "I just can't seem to find the door." He swallowed nervously, thinking that if this guy was strong enough to turn him around, he would probably be strong enough to move Nate's hands without any problem. It didn't help that he wasn't all that strong either. . .


He began to try and nonchalantly sneak away, but that would be difficult, not knowing where the door was and all. So instead, he decided to scoot the other way, away from the building, so he could then casually wait for the walkway to clear out. By himself. With only his thoughts. And his paper. Oh and of course is sewing stuff. Okay, him and a lot of other stuff. But no people.

Finnegan had been seated outside, up in a tree hiding from the rest of the island as per usual. Finnegan let his thoughts take him to a totally different planet where no one was ever judged. Being here so long he knew the place inside an even out, spending his non-class time out on the island, exploring the forest depth's. Each year new students, same rules an assemblies an announcements to listen to. Finnegan dropped from the tree an slowed his heart rate, his fingers slowly going numb before his body began to twitch an snap until finally his body was replaced with an elegant dragon, his scales were an odd color but never the less they still made him stick out like a sore thumb. Laying next to the tree, he heaved a heavy sigh before watching the new first year students enter the school. At least most of them had parents, or at least had seen them. Curling his long tail against his scales he then blinked calmly until a bug attempted to land on his nose an he shook his head before it finally flew off.

Aria had been watching Finnegan and sighed. She moved out of the shadows. Aria loved her best friend and knew the feeling. She knew he was semi upset. They had been friends since she got here. She use to be a loner and afraid and now she was best friends with each other.


Aria made her way over to Finnegan she put her hand on his snout and gently pet him."Hey Finn how you holding up?" She asked his dragon form. She wasn't scared of his dragon form. She knew better. He hand rested on his snout gently."Another year more teens huh?"she asked him. She smiled gently "oh come on Finn come back to your normal form I can't hug you like this buddy."she said to him. Aria leaned on his snout with pleading eye's and a gentle look.

Finnegan had been enjoying the quiet of the morning when a female voice reached his dragon ears, opening an eye to look up at Aria. As she sat next to him to pat him he slid his head into her lap, a soft groan escaping through his scaled lips. At her first set of words Finnegan merely nodded a little before inhaling a deep breath. Finnegan was not excited to start an other copy cat year of the one before. "Another year more teens huh?" Finnegan let a low growl erupt from his throat, making it perfectly clear he wasn't to thrilled. Lifting his head up to see over Aria he then tapped his tail against the grass calmly, his two tone eyes watching the students enter the school, one had clashed into another student. As she spoke again he some what grinned an rested his chin on the top of her head, he stayed like that a moment before standing on all four's an stretching out his wings before he let his head fall low to the ground an his heart rate slowed once more, his body slowly turning back to human. A sharp inhale as he grasped his collar bone as it was the last to fall back into place "Hey Aria" He opened his arms for his friends embrace.

He said happily. His soundwaves vibrated more stably on the ground as he grew happier. "Anyway, come on!we don't wanna be late on our first day!"

Henry sighed as the boy tried to sneak away, he didn't think himself to be scary at all, yet here he was with someone trying to sneak away from him. He noticed that the boy dropped his bag and decided to pick it up and follow him, it wasn't hard at all to follow him since he wasn't moving to fast. "Yo bra, you like forgot your bag" stated Henry as he walked right behind the boy.

She paused for a moment and then another thought came to her. "By the way, how did someone find out about your powers and send you here?" Yukiko asked him curiously.

"Oh, well during a performance where there were a few high notes, I accidentally slipped and sent out a small soundwave on the last note." He said back to her. "Out of all the people there, someone came to see me backstage. They saw my soundwave power and said I would be perfect here, said I could even have a pretty good music career if I trained the waves right. and you know music is a passion for me." He said smiling.

"huh???" he said waking up after 10 hours " where am i." he looked around and saw the girl he was talking to and he fell out of the bed, he stood up and left a note saying he left to his dorm

Yukiko held out her free hand. She thought, "Shining Heart summon!" while focusing on her hand. Almost immediately, a spear-like staff appeared in her hand. "I can control it much better now though!", she said to Kotsu as she showed him her staff. "Hey, since this is our first year, don't we have to go to some assembly first? Or do we go to our dorms...?"

Aria watched him with bright eye's. She loved him in his dragon form he was her best friend he always helped no matter what form he took. Aria watched him her breath went out. She huffed and looked at the other students. She had become jaded against the world. She laughed at his growl and shook her head. She knew what that meant. She knew he wasn't thrilled at all about this year neither was she,but Aria had him and he had her. When he changed back. And said Hey aria lit up and ran into his arms. She wrapped around gum like there was no tomorrow. Aria was only this emotionally happy around him. Around others she would snap and become cold. She liked to manipulate them into leaving her alone."Come on got to go sit through another boring orientation. This time I have an Idea let's sit in the back and sleep." She said to him. Aria kept her arms wrapped around him and sighed."I got no sleep again was trying to shadow walk again." She said."what about you?" She asked him.

Nathaniel was relieved when it appeared he was going to make a clean getaway, not being pulled back or anything. Until, the person talked to him again, and he froze. "My bag? Uh. . ." He debated whether or not what was in his bag was important enough to stick around. Couldn't he just come back for it later? No. . . What if the other guy stole it or something? He didn't know him. So, turning away from the dude, and removing one hand from over his eyes, he held it out so he could just place it in his hand. "Thanks. . ." He finished awkwardly.

"No problemo bra" replied Henry with a smile before putting the bag in the boys hand. "You shouldn't act so shy, ya only get one life to surf through bro" stated Henry before he turned and started to run; after getting a running start he threw his board onto the air and jumped on, he was surfing the water molecules in the air. "Cowabunga man!" He surfed right past everyone with a chuckle as he made his way to the orientation building, once he got there he accidentally ran into a poll and got flung from his board, his body was like a stone skipping across water before he landed in a patch of grass. "Ouch gnarlly wipe-out man" chuckled the boy to himself as he got up and dusted himself off before grabbing the board and running to orientation, half limping as he did so.





Yori continued to walk around campus, familiarizing herself with the scope of the school. She smiled to herself, the place was pretty big and nice compared to where Yori lived so this would be a nice change in pace. She was now in her Karin form, just walking through campus without a care in the world, she noticed someone was part dragon and another person crash, Ouch that look liked it hurt. thought Yori to herself as she made a sourface after wincing. She continued to walk towards orientation, hoping maybe she could make a friend or at least have someone to hang out; she knew no one here and was hoping that wouldn't last long.

Emmie finding her way through the school she found the orientation building. She slips inside looking around at the people that were there. Finding a place to sit down. Waiting for everything to start. Keeping the eye she had covered away from peoples looks. Not caring for the stares people like to give her when they see her.

"Wow! that thing is...well..huge!!!!" Then Kotsu thought for a minute. "Hm...I'm guessing we just go to dorms. They never said anything about an assembly anyway." He said doing tricks on his soundwaves. "Man, I wish we roomed together, you'd be the most awesome roommate ever!" He said happily.
