Personality: Stubborn and loyal. Probably the two best words to describe Sam. She is very level headed and down to earth, however at the best of times she is stubborn. No matter what the situation (unless life threatening) she will stick to what she was doing. Sam has a way with words, she can manipulate when needed, she easily turns a situation over onto a different person so she doesn't need to take blame. Sam is a complete computer wiz, she can hack any computer in less than a minute. Well mostly any computer. She is all work and no play when something needs to get done.

History/bio: can be learnt throughout the RP

Other: She really hates zombies...

She honestly felt that she was about to have Jesse Eisenburg open his about to open his apartment door for her and the whole senario was going to turn out like the movie Zombieland. Somehow she managed to pop the glass and grab the fire extinguisher, hitting a few of the dead over the hear with it, she was a goner and she knew that, but it didn't mean she wouldn't fight until she was dead and walking among them. Just her luck, she tripped over the last step and one of the Zombie's slimed hands grabbed hold of her leg. "Get off of me!" Sam yelled kicking her leg at its face, she then threw the extinguisher at it trying he very best to not be bitten, and finally when she got away from the thing and was about to run up to her floor there were zombies coming down the stairs as well as up; Oh god, I am so going to die... She thought to herself backing up into one of the apartment doors, now weaponless.

Charlie awoke to loud crashes and thumps on the wooden floorboards coming from the hall outside of his apartment. He yawned loudly as he stretched his limbs out as wide as he could still lying in bed, The thumping and crashing continued and then he heard a piercing scream. He assumed it was a domestic dispute, He lazily rolled out of bed and onto the cold wooden floor, He lay there for a few seconds before pushing himself to his feet. He walked out of his bedroom still half asleep What time is it? He thought to himself, It had to be early in the morning. As he reached his kitchen/living area he noticed the clock said Half past six, Way to early But then he realised that the sun was starting to set outside, not rise, had he slept all day?

He heard more screams, more crashes and a strange loud groaning. He picked up his phone that was sitting next to a large pile of dirty dishes and proceeded to dial 911, He may aswell call it in, just incase things got out of hand. As he waited for the call to connect he opened his refrigerator hoping that there would be some left over pizza, there wasnt. It was almost empty except for a 1 year old jar of strawberry jam and a few bottles of soda at the bottom. "Your call could not be connected at this time" The robotic female voice spoke through the phone, Charlie gave a loud sigh of annoyance. He put down the phone back next to the pile of dishes, there was more banging and more screaming, but this time something slammed his door, it shook a little. Either someone had charged the door or be thrown there. He lazily walked over to the door "Keep it down!" He yelled as he opened the door.

As soon as he opened to door a woman who must of been leaning heavily against it fell straight onto the ground "Wha-" and then Charlie noticed that there were atleast a dozen men who didnt seem to happy with her, or atleast thats what he thought at first. He then noticed that they seemed to have extremely dark grey skin, almost as if their skin had died and their mouths seemed to be non-Human Zombies Charlie let out a small yelp of fear mixed with shock before slamming the door which happened to cut a Zombies head clear off its body sending the detached head rolling into the apartment, still alive (or undead).

Sam stumbled back a few feet when the door was opened and landed on her butt. Next thing she knew there was a zombie head next to her, she held back a scream and scrambled away from it, she looked up at the person who opened the door, shaking where she was sat on the ground. "Keep it down? Really? Keep it down while I have my face eaten off? I'm sorry if I can't be quieter for you!" She yelled getting to her feet, a little off balance because of her nerves.

Sam went over to the door putting on the lock and looking out the peep hole seeing that there was one standing directly in from of the door. She yelped with surprise and stumbled back looking around the room tryin to collect herself. Zombies everywhere, how in the hell were they suppose to survive zombies? They had no weapons, no way of surviving. Sam took her hair out of the pony tail it was in, letting it fall down her back. She shook her hands through her hair before putting it back up and away from her face. She turned to the guy who opened the door, "we are dead people still alive, you know that? We will either die in here or out there. No matter what we are going to die."

"Wh- I didnt know there were Zombies out there!" He yelled back in a high pitched almost strained voice to the woman who had just scrambled away from the Zombie head that was biting desperately at the air. He stepped back from the door after the Woman locked it. Then she started going on about how they were going to die, even though he had just saved her life. "Way to jump to conclusions" He said. If there were Zombies out there they were going to need to be prepared, He quickly walked back into his bedroom over to his night stand, opening the top drawer he pulled out a box and place it ontop of the stand. He opened the box to reveil a small revolve gun with a box of ammo, He had bought it from a shady merchant years ago but had never used it. He carefully loaded the bullet into the gun and then tucked into the back of his pants.

See, Charlie had watched a ot of Zombies movies and TV shows including the walking dead. He knew that they probably wouldn't die unless you killed the brain. He grabbed his metal baseball bat from the side of his bed and walked back out into the kitchen (It is fair to say that Charlie was quite paranoid). He stopped as he reached the Zombie head, still holding the bat in his hand "This might get messy" He said to the woman.

"Oh god," Sam moaned looking away, the apartment layout was much like her own, which made it easy for her to navigate herself away from the head and into the kitchen. This was not how she planned her evening, all she wanted to do was to get off work, take a nice walk home then settle in bed watching Netflix or something to wind down the night. But no, there just had to be zombies to ruin her night- no ruin her life. She didn't want to know what that guy had planned to do with the head and the bat; but she had a pretty good idea on what he was going to do. Sam couldn't even be disappointed that she may never see her family again, all she could think about was how fucked up life got since she got off her shift at work. She stripped herself of her uniform shirt, leaving her in just her under armor tee shirt waiting for whatever that had to be done to be done. Until then she needed a drink. Sam went and opened the fridge but nothing, just soda, no beer, or alcohol for that matter. She just wished that she could have some good whiskey at the moment.

Charlie gripped the bat with two hands and brought it out in front of him, He planned on smashing the head in, but he quickly thought better of it, it would smell and make alot of mess so instead he poked at the head with the end of the bat making it roll along the apartment floor quite unevenly since it wasnt completely circular. After about a minute he managed to roll it all the way to the other side of his small apartment where a large window was, now the hard part. With bat in one hand he used the other hand to grasp at the Zombies hair being extremely careful not to let it bite him, he then set down his bat, opened the window with one hand and threw the Zombie head out with the other.

Below he could see countless zombies chasing after people, pulling them out of their cars and devouring them.

"You should really invest on some alcohol," Sam called from the kitchen. She couldn't hear any beating going on in the living room which made her grow curious. There were two options, (a) he beat the thing quietly. (B) he was bitten and now slowly turning into a living corpse. She silently prayed that it was option A. Sighing to herself, Sam grabbed a kitchen knife just in case and slowly walke out of the kitchen, knife held in front of her. "Please don't be dead," she mumbled to herself. At least if he wasn't dead she wouldn't have to survive the ed of the human race alone.

Once Sam reached the living room once more, she saw the guy standing at the window, and there was no blood, or any zombie head. So her curiosity grew. Letting her guard down for just a moment, she lowered the knife walking towards the guy that let her in his apartment; well not really let her in, more opened the door and fell in. She looked down at what he was looking at and saw the numerous zombies chasing after people, not long ago she was one of those people. And looking down at them, thinking about all the people that lost them to this it was horrible. Then it hit her. She turned around and grabbed her bag that she dropped on the floor, Sam rummaged through her purse before finding her Blackberry, smiling as she saw there was a text message from the very person she wanted to hear from. Sam opened the message and read;

Sammie, stay safe. I'm okay, I'm headed up to Canada for colder climate. I hope to hear from you soon, sweetheart.

Xo Dad

One thing was going through her mind, he was safe, her dad was okay, and that's all she could ask for at the time. She sent back a quick message saying she was alright, and that she loved him very much, just so he would be assured that she was okay. Sam clutched the phone in her hand tightly, silently thanking god for keeping her dad safe, she couldn't have another scare again.

Back when she was four, her mother walked out on them, leaving her and her dad alone. That was okay, she was a bitch anyways. Her and her dad grew up in Manatoba together, and two years ago she got accepted to a great school for her science and engendering degree, that's why she moved out and was in this complex. She rarely got to see her dad anymore because of the distance between them, but it never stopped her from sky ping him every other night, and texting him every day. They were close to say the least, and now to hear that he was okay; it was better news then the time her acceptance letter came in the mail.

Charlie closed the window, as he did this the sounds from outside became considerably harder to hear, as if someone had turned down the volume. Charlie turned around to see the woman he had let in to his apartment, whether on purpose or not, holding one of his kitchen knives in her hand along with he cell phone. Charlie gripped his bat a bit tighter. He knew it was good to have a weapon during this apocalypse but he couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy about her just grabbing a knife without asking or letting him know.

"That's my knife" He said to her, gesturing with his bat, He was unable to think of much else to say. He walked past her, watching her with corner of her eye, back to the apartment door.

He moved his eye up to the key hole and looked through it, he could see what seemed to be alot blood and what may or may not have been an arm that had been detached from someone body. There were 2 Zombies out in the hallway, aimless swaying back and forth. Charlie knew they had barely any food, actually, they had no food, unless you want to count a jar of strawberry jam. "Do you have any food in your apartment?" He asked her. He knew that they could make it to her floor, which he assumed was somewhere above them. If they caught the Zombies by surprise they could probably stab them both in the head, Now that he thought about it, he doubted a bat would be to useful to kill Zombies, it was a blunt weapon, only really good for keeping them away and delaying them.

Samantha looked up at the man, "Sorry, it was quiet and I didn't know if you were bitten, and if you were I was going to stab you. However you aren't bitten so it looks like your lucky day," she said with fake enthusiasm as she stood off the ground watching him look out into the hall. She paced around a little wondering what the hell they were going to do if they were stuck here; they'd be better off joining the dead or jumping out the window.

She cocked her head to the side as he asked if she had any food in her apartment, confused for a moment, but then realization struck. Survival. "Yeah, about a weeks worth, maybe a little more. I just got groceries yesterday, and whiskey so that's an upside. But my apartment is all the way on the top floor, do you realize how many zombies stand between this apartment and mine? Probably a lot. Not to mention the many below us that we'll attract if we are loud enough," she said.

"Maybe not" Charlie replied to the woman of who who he still did not know the name of, "The only reason there are Zombies outside our door is because they chased you up here, probably from the street, right?, Which means there may not be any Zombies above us" Charlie continued as he walked into the kitchen grabbing a long steak knife from the knife block. He knew that they would either get to her apartment without much hassle, only having to deal with the two Zombies in the hallway or they would be forced to retreat back into the apartment.

He walked back to the apartment door, Knife in hand. He gave another look through the door hole, the two Zombies were still there wandering aimlessly, they would have to rush them. "We gonna do this?" He asked the woman.

Samantha sighed pocketing her cellphone. She looked down at he bag and went through it to get her apartment key. If they were going to her place then they were going to need a way in, and she really didn't feel like breaking down a door that would separate them from the very things that wanted to eat their brains. Sam knew she was making a bad call, but in all honesty, what other choice did she have? So she gripped the knife tighter in her hand. "I must be crazy," she muttered to herself as she nodded to the man.

The Woman nodded and Charlie gripped his knife tight. He slowly unlocked the door, the door unlocked making a clicking sound. He looked from the door hole again, the Zombies hadnt noticed a thing. "Ill get the one on the right" He whispered to the woman, then he flung the door open. The two Zombies jolted their heads towards the door as Charlie lunged onto the Zombie closest to the stairs, plunging his knife into the Zombies skull. The Zombie dropped, With Charlie still holding tightly onto the knife plunged all the way to the handle in the Zombies skull, The two of them tumbled down the stairs.

With a deep breath, Samantha adjusted her grip on the knife, nodding so the man knew that she acknowledged what he had said. She went to the one on the left easily slicing it's throat, having the blood spurt all over her top. This was defiantly not what the movies made it out to be. When a throat was sliced. It was sliced, the main artery pumping the blood fiercely and in no way dramatically. It was a bloody mess -literally and figuratively. However that one simple slice did not do just the trick, and so she clumsily stabbed between it's eyes. No she wasn't an expert at knives. Give her a weapon to shoot from a long range distance, now that was a different story. She let the knife fall from her grasp as the zombie fell to the floor; in visible shock for a moment then realized that the man wasn't there anymore. Now she had two options and she had to think fast; go and follow him down the stairs, or run up to her apartment trying to figure out ways to get to her dad. Groaning slightly, she ran back inside the apartment and grabbed the bat before running down the stairs after the man and the zombie.

They hit the wall at the bottom of the tairs hard, The Zombie was dead, it had died before they had fallen. Charlie squeezed his knees up to his chest and use them to kick the Zombie off him. He stumbled to his feet, his body ached from the fall, he could feel the bruises on his body. He ran back up the stairs, spotting the woman running down to him, holding his bat. He reached her, grabbing both of her arms to stop himself.

"Your apartment-" He managed to say to her, trying to catch his breath.

"Right," Sam nodded her head, lowering the bat and taking hold of his wrist as she ran up the stairs to the next floor where her apartment was at. She lead him quickly but quietly, thankfully not encountering any zombies on the way. She stopped abruptly outside her door and fumbled to take the key out of her pocket. The grunts and moaning could be heard from down the hall which made her bloody hands shake as she failed to get the key in the lock the first few times. As the groans became louder she got the key in the lock and quickly opened the door, glancing to the side seeing a zombie had spotted them both and was now running at full speed towards them. Sam opened the door quickly, ripping the key out of the lock all while pushing the man inside her apartment and slamming the door shut when they were both inside. She could hear the thing make a thud sound as it crashed into her door. Quickly she put on as many locks as she could too keep it from getting inside.

The Woman led him up the stairs by the wrist. He could hear groans as their footsteps hit the wooden steps. They reached her floor, and as they did so he spotted a Zombie out of the corner of his eye. It hadnt seen them yet, as the woman thumbled for her keys, failing a few time to fit it in the lock. After a few times, the door opened and just as the Zombie noticed them, She pushed him into the Apartment.

He flung himself against the door as there was a loud thump, he felt it vibrate through his shoulder. He then noticed the Woman was locking the doors as he was standing flat against the door. Their faces were just the right amount of 'to close' to each other.

Samantha finished locking up the door, her whole body shaking as she turned her head to look at the man through the hair in front of her brown eyes. She smiled though, through all that she smiled, shaking in her skin and scared as hell at the moment, she was able to muster up her voice and say something. "Samantha," she introduced herself letting out a breath she was not aware that she was holding. She let herself collapse forward into the man, wrapping her arms weakly around him, dropping the bat in the process. "Thank you," she said gratefully, still shaking slightly in the hug. She could have died...twice. She had a right to be afraid.

They looked at each other for a second before the woman introduced herself "Samantha". She then collapsed into him, wrapping her arms around him which sent a slight pain through is body to the bruises, he didnt show it of course. "Charlie" He said back to her as he slumped down against the door, so they were now sitting on the ground against it, the Zombie continued to hit the door, but with less strength. Charlie assumed that it was getting tired and would probably resume to wandering around in the hallway like the other two Zombies had outside of his own apartment.

She smiled slightly upon hearing his name and slowly let go of him, not knowing how he dealt with personal space. She put her back flat against the door and let out a harsh breath, wiping under her eyes and over her face to attempt to get the zombie blood off of her. She tried her very best not to cringe each time the zombie banged against the door, and each time she was wishing more and more that she didn't let go of the bat; just in case. After a few more silent minutes passed, the banging stopped, she wasn't going to hold her breath though. Slowly she rose back up to her feet and looked out the peep hole, letting out a relieved breath, "It's gone," she said with a small smile.

After a few more minutes Charlie stood up. "So.. Food!" He said clasping his hands together as he walked to the kitchen. Her apartment was almost the exact same layout so he knew exactly where it was. He noticed that her apartment was a considerable amount cleaner then his apartment which consisted of a large amount of dirty clothes strewn across the floor. Everything in her apartment was put away and clean. He walked over to the Refrigerator and opened it, feeling the blast of cold air fall over him. Unlike his own Fridge, hers was well stocked, like she had just been shopping. He opened the to cupboards above the Fridge, also well stocked.
