I think it makes him more powerful as a rival, because A.he wants exactly what Deku wants, making them legitimate rivals, B.he doesn't like Deku for petty reasons, not for absoluetly no reason (ala sasuke hates naruto because.....he's evil now) and 3. he doesn't want to just beat deku, he wants to beat him as a hero. becoming a villain makes no sense at all to him.

also lets talk about how actually legitimately sympathetic bakugou becomes onceyou realize that Deku is livinghis dream right in his eyes and he still feels he is better as a hero then deku so he doesn't understand why he wasn't chosen by all might and it for real hurts him.

Let's be real though guys. The best rivalry in anime is Kaiba and The Pharaoh. I don't see anyone else willing to toss themselves off a castle if they lose a children's card game.

If I knew anything about Bakugou I knew that despite being an ass, he was someone who had strong convictions. I knew he
wasn't going to turn over the the villain side. He had too much respect and admiration for All Might to do so, plus he was a
head strong individual who danced to the beat of his own drum. Although I didn't like him in the beginning, I can admit
that I at least understood what kind of person he was.

Yeah, freakin' love Kirishima. He is like the only person I can see dealing with Bakugou, and the look they gave each other
when Kirishima grabbed him from the villains was utter bromance. He's one of the reasons I thought Bakugou could be redeemed
as a character. Just seeing how much Kirishima understood him gave me a little hope he'd be better, and he is. Still mean, but that's just a
part of him and I can't complain about that.

Kirishima just brings out the best in people. One of Hori's best side-characters. Would love to see more of him, Momo, and Mina over someone like Iida tbh. Befriending Bakugo just means he's likely to be able to befriend anyone.

I feel for Bakugo later on in S3. It really comes to light that this is still just a kid who had his childhood goal hurt severely by his old friend-ish guy.
