FEELINGS ABOUT HUMANS: Due in part to her status as a half-blood, Maliyah is open towards humans. Friendly and cordial, she will never be rude to a human on account of them being a human- that goes against everything she fights for as an activist. She refuses to drink human blood, and subsists off of animal blood and the blood tablets. After the shortage however, she has turned exclusively to feeding on blood given to her by human friends. She's growing desperate, no doubt about that.

PERSONALITY: How Maliyah presents themselves is dependent on how she views you. If she can't stand you, expect her to be annoying, cold, and brash towards you, attempting to do anything she can to get on your nerves. It's almost as if she's a child who never grew up in these moments. If she gets on with you, she's loyal to a fault, willing to go through high tide just for her friends. A self proclaimed wild child, Maliyah loathes conformity, and attempts to stick out like a sore thumb in all she does. Perhaps this sprung up due to how she was frequently ignored by her mother in childhood. Easy-going, it's accurate to say Maliyah's head is up in the clouds, being an optimistic day-dreamer.
HISTORY/BACKGROUND:​

The Ahmed's. Wealth for decades. Maliyah's grandmother used to say that, even if all of them quit working and let the family business go to crap, they'd still be able to afford almost all of the finer things in life. Maliyah isn't sure how much of that was true or just the ramblings of an old woman who thought of herself as practically a god, but that statement perfectly encapsulates the family she came from. Maliyah was born to the youngest daughter of the Ahmed patriarch, Mina Ahmed, and a human, Rahim Khan, on a sweltering hot day. And she was born weak, illness plaguing her throughout her childhood. Her parents, her father especially, kept a close eye on her, treating her like a fragile piece of china that would shatter at every second.

Mina had been thrown out by her family after Maliyah was born- evidence of the tryst between her parents, no doubt. When she was younger, she'd beg her parents to give her a snippet of their love story, but they'd always pat her head and send her on her way. "That's a story for another day," was a common refrain used to deter her. Maliyah imagined their story to be one of love at first sight, a page taken out of Romeo and Juliet. And, like Romeo and Juliet, it ended in tragedy, as Maliyah's father died of a sudden illness when she was 5. She doesn't have too many memories of the years before her father's death, besides the constant supervision and the scarcity of their lifestyle. They had little, but they were happy.

The happy memories seem to end with their fathers death, as Maliyah's mother wallowed in her grief. The two of them live together for a bit, and Maliyah swears it's some of the worst years of her life. Her mother, seemingly overnight, had become neglectful and cruel towards Maliyah, imposing harsh standards towards her and berating her whenever she failed to live up to her expectations.

And then, one day, Maliyah's mother takes her on a trip. Not to anywhere particular, her mother said as they travelled through various towns, just to get away for a bit. For a week, the two of them acted like a mother and daughter again: they laughed together, and for the first time in a very, very long time, had fun.

All good things, however, had to come to an end. Remember the bit where Maliyah's mother told her they weren't going anywhere particular? Well, that was a massive lie, as her mother promptly dumped her at the Ahmed family mansion. As her grandmother told it, after years of not talking to each other, after Rahim died, her grandmother- Dadi, as she was called- approached her mother with an offer: she'd help out if Mina would return to the family. Drop off your daughter and look after your old mother, she said, and you can belong somewhere again.

And Mina, who was a businesswoman at heart, agreed. After that, Mina became a scarce figure in Maliyah's life, only seeming to appear to express disapproval in her daughters life decisions before going off on her merry way to do...whatever she did. Maliyah remembers her mentioning it once during the rare moments where her mother's interest in her daughter's life wasn't motivated by condescension and disappointment, but she's long forgotten it.

Maliyah was primarily raised by her grandparents after that, in the large family mansion deep in the heart of the forest. Her relationship with her grandmother was surprisingly positive, with the woman saying on more than one occasion that Maliyah reminded her when she was younger: a sweet, spunky child who wasn't afraid of telling it like it is. Maliyah's mother regularly commented on Dadi's sudden turnabout regarding Maliyah whenever she visited with no small hint of bitterness in her tone: wonderful that her mother finally decided to learn how to raise children years after her youngest had flown the coop. Dadi, for what it was worth, simply shrugged off the jabs each time. Her grandfather's feelings on her was far more of an enigma. Alternating between the age old stereotype of a gruff, loving old grandfather and a criticizing, disapproving tyrant, their relationship is rocky, with the two going long periods without talking to each other after an argument before joking with each other as though they were old friends.

Her aunts seemed to have enjoyed gossiping about each of her failures behind her back, as well as the scandal that had culminated in her birth like she wasn't there, but also had their moments of being sweet and genuinely caring about her well-being. Her uncles mostly ignored her existence, or talked about how much her dowry would cost when she would marry. Her cousins, and later her half-siblings, seemed to either bully her non-stop for being a half-blood, ignored her, or were protective of her. Case in point, her cousins Irene, Mahdi, and her half-sister Jessica. The four were close growing up, despite the age differences between each of them. As the years went by and they were flung about by life, they kept in contact with each other.

Being treated by a social pariah by the upper crust of Vampire society did a number on Maliyah's self-esteem growing up, and as a result she withdrew into herself, and sought companionship amongst humans. She got along famously with them in comparison to how she was treated by vampires- as long as she kept her half-blood status secret. That was alright with her though. As far as she was concerned, she absolutely hated being a half-blood. Her exposure to humans and vampires of all walks of life caused her to reject the teachings of Vampire society and advocate for the end of the vampire social hierarchy, as well as better relations with humans and vampires.

Maliyah grew into an argumentative, hot-headed youth, with more brains than time in the day and thinking she was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Fights between her grandfather and her increased, to the point where she was kicked out once. (Granted, that lasted a total of an hour before her grandparents panicked and bought her back home, but that was a moot point.) Her mother had re-married, this time to a pureblood man whose name was Collin Daniels who, unsurprisingly, had little to no interest raising Maliyah or getting to know his step-child. Her mother seemed to have forgotten Maliyah's existence on more than one occasion, seeming more preoccupied with her new life than her eldest. Mina had managed to climb back up the social ladder of vampire society by this time, becoming a respected figure in the Ahmed banks.

Maliyah originally wasn't going to go anywhere near Onyx Academy, instead content with partying and protesting the day away while making ends meet doing various odd end jobs in town. After pressuring from her grandparents though, Maliyah decided to attend Onyx Academy. She might not look forward to having to interact with a bunch of stick in the mud's, but hey, the experience might be worth it. At the very least, she can finish her degree.

Thalia's father was turned into a vampire during her childhood. While she had a good relationship with him during her childhood, once he had become a vampire he struggled to maintain his thirst for blood. They became quite distant as her father spent less and less time with her due to being unable to control himself around blood. Once she became a teenager he left her and she was forced to live on her own for then on.

PERSONALITY: Emery can be summed up in one-word ivory — inherently smooth, rigid, gleaming with brilliance synonymous with death. He's ridden in charm but sprinkled in granules of anger and pride. Not being outright hostile is perhaps one of the more redeeming variables of his visage, perfectly polite in the means of "maintaining peace." However, he's got no problem making disparaging comments and working his tongue to remind "humans," of their stations.   BIOGRAPHY

  Bridget was born to a powerful pair of parents, she never knew her father, and all she knew was that he was a powerful vampire. Her mother was a wanderer and couldn't expect to take care of a child, so in her early years she was sent to be tutored under other old vampires, she expected a lot of her only heir.
  
  Once she was old enough to care for herself, her mother came and brought her along in her travels. Bridget never settled down, she was on the move most of the time, and she never settled down with other vampires. She became used to hiding her nature, so much so she often forgot she wasn't a human as a child.
  
  Her mother was quite infamous in vampire circles, being referred to as 'The Anne-Marie' she was an old and powerful being, as well as an oddball among the vampires. Her views colored Bridgets and so both became a strange pair with odd ideas concerning humans, not quite seeing them as beings and not quite livestock.
  
  After a few hundred years under her mother's care, she went off on her own. She became a knight when women weren't allowed, became a monk, and became many things. She didn't talk to other vampires, she was just a very long-lived human... She liked it that way, though when Onyx academy was formed her mother made sure that at some point she would attend, so after a long, while she stopped her wandering and traveling and settled down, it would only be for a little bit. Well, it would be a good experience to write about in her writings.

  "....Every once in a while someone will ask me, "Bridget, why are you the way that you are?"
  
  Well because my mother lives and dies for chaos.
  
  When I was born, she decided I needed to be better than every child on the planet so I was fluent in 12 languages before I was 6 years old just in case I wanted to be on the council when I grew up.
  
  When I was in elementary school my choir was doing a rendition of a song that happened to have a piece of opera in it. No one was going to sing the opera piece because we were children, but of course, I said "I'll do it." Because that's the kind of family I grew up in.
  
  I did not mention this fact until the night before the performance when I spent all night working on this piece of opera when it came time for the show I was much too nervous to perform the piece so I completed the regular song with the rest of the children.
  
  When I went home after school that day she looked me dead in the eyes and stated, "You will never do that again." And you know what? I have not done it again..."

  Not only knowing 12 languages before the age of 6 but i have been told I was also born with the maturity level of a Russian child chess prodigy, I have been like this my entire life.
  
  I was also born extremely frail in the heart and I've been having surgery every other year since I was born, picture this.
  
  I was quite young, and getting ready for another operation. At this point, I've known my surgical team almost my entire life, they're very familiar with my linguistics skills, oftentimes nurses who spoke other languages would try and get on my surgical team, thinking me 'great fun.'
  
  So im laying there and there is a young nurse to my left, her first language is English and her second is German and she's asking me the places I want to visit in her second language.
  
  She asks me if I want to visit Italy, and I said of course just for the pasta alone, and then she asks me if I want to go visit the Tower of Pizza (A new delicacy at the time) and then I ask her to say it in English, surely something been lost in translation, until she repeats what she had said, the Tower of Pizza.
  
  Now, my brain is drugged up at this point and I feel panic that a person who's digging around my organs thinks it's actually called the 'Tower of Pizza' and so I look her in the face and ask, "Are you stupid?" The last thing I remember before passing out is the laughter from the surgical team..."

Alexandre's feelings toward humans are not as complex as an average human to expect. For example, do humans who consume meat feel guilty for how it's conjured up on a plat for one to eat so rare and juicy?

Insert your conflicted feelings, and you have Alex's regards. However, being born this way wasn't a choice and consuming the blood enzymes of living creatures is essential to keep him breathing. Alexandre's immunity requires it. Much like humans need water to maintain healthy functioning organs, Alex involves blood.

He doesn't enjoy bringing pain to others or agrees with killing humans. Again, though, the thirst, you couldn't fight it. This could explain why when, after not feeding for a while, a vampire may feel a form of pleasure from drinking blood. It's like drinking a long glass of ice water on a scorching hot day. Can one not help but enjoy that?

Is Alexandre picky about his meals? Generally, he wants them clean, and that means inside and out. As it's not what is necessary to him, forming any attachment to his food is distasteful for him. Thus, naturally, he doesn't converse or socialize with many humans unless necessary. It isn't out of a dispising of their kind. It was that he was an alien to their lifestyle. The two species tend to have a hard time relating to each other. Although Alexandre wouldn't ever openly admit it, he found most humans dull and stupid. Their senses were numbed by distraction, and vampires honed into introspective inspection. It often caused friction and unnecessary agitation. Alexandre would also never admit that humans and vampires certainly felt emotions differently. Vampires had a more robust neural brain pattern, allowing absolute control over behavioural outputs. Some humans may call this bland and have no heart, but Alexandre called it a rational species with high intelligence.

So, being placed in a school alongside humans is challenging for him. A bit odd. He's not certain he can get used to this. Although, it was necessary for the time being.

HISTORY/BACKGROUND

Alexandre was born into a long line of successful pureblood vampires. Although, they were not as involved with the vampiric society as most pure bloodlines. Christopher Monet, Alexandre's father, was well known for his dealings with pharmaceuticals for vampire corporations and humans. This means the Monets are incredibly wealthy. Alexandre's mother also came from a highly successful line of the pureblood family. Although, she died when Alexandre was born. Having been born with a sickly constitution. Giving birth to Alexandre was too much and ended her life prematurely. Thus, Alexandre was raised by his father or rather a trail of various nannies.

Growing up with wealth meant he grew up with priviledged. He had a good education and a stable upbringing. As far as finances are concerned. His father was rarely ever at home. Meaning, Alexander lacked a male role model for a bulk of his life. Relying on peer support and approval it often meant he was really consumed with his image. Keep in mind being consumed about your image doesn't always make one the most popular. As a result he often was often thought a bit of an odd ball. Though, Alexandre navigates the popularity sliding scale with a fair neutral pass. He does so by remaining a by standard amongst the poplar crowd. He remained active in sports teams and other extra curricular activities just enough to be considered "involved." This often drove a lot of his elementary, middle school and high school success. Sports. The young man was always good with his body.

His curiosity is what gets him into trouble. Still being a young vampire he still has so many questions. So many concerns. So much confusion. Especially about being placed into the situation he is in. The food shortage was something weighing heavy on every vampires mind. No one wanted to get sick. Alexandre considers himself lucky but he would never admit that. To anyone else. Alex would say, he was confidant that he would be placed here, it was his right. So full of himself.

Although his outward exterior is confidant. He is still very unsure of himself. Especially, being a virgin. He still has a lot of insecurities about it and often diverts the subject. But being passionate with someone means facing his fear and he does not want to do that. Some would say he has the emotional maturity of a shoe. I don't think they would be wrong.

He has a lot to learn and is still growing in every way.

  Yrsa doesn’t remember her childhood. She doesn’t remember receiving the small carnelian ring she wears on her pinky finger. She chooses to tell herself her father, a pureblood, gave it to her when they lived among the vikings, where she has glimpses of her mother, a shield maiden. Yrsa doesn’t remember her mother’s death or when they left Norway in heartbreak. All of the years have begun to blur together. Sometimes Yrsa even wishes for death and to join her mother in Valhalla. Her entire life she has been pulled in two directions. Yrsa’s father wanted a pureblooded child, and could have had it all, but due to his open relations with a human woman, they’d been cast aside by his family. Even still, Yrsa was raised as a pureblood and refuses to speak of her mother or the human blood that runs through her veins.
  
  Yrsa traveled with her father throughout the centuries. They moved from country to country together, forging a strong bond between the two, until one day a letter arrived. Yrsa’s father would be welcomed back into the bloodline, along with Yrsa, if they agreed to an arranged marriage between herself and someone of her grandmother’s choosing when the time came. Yrsa doesn’t know how her grandmother is going to manage a marriage for her but nonetheless, they agreed to settle back at the family manor where her father resumed his title as heir to their bloodline.
  
  Yrsa dislikes confinement, but after so many years apart from their family, she uses her time wisely with her grandmother and they tend the garden together on cloudy days. She eventually agreed to come to the academy at the request of her grandmother and to “follow in her father’s footsteps.” Most of the younger vampires don’t remember the nature of Yrsa’s birth given her age and the respect her grandmother holds, and she uses this to her advantage when she can.

  Yrsa is cold. She doesn’t like many others and she prefers her life in solitude, but once you have her loyalty, she will sacrifice her life for yours. Her letters are even short as if she cannot be bothered to write them. She is quiet, but perceptive and she observes every situation she finds herself in.   As a young girl, Spencer was showered with love and gifts from both of her parents, it was like a childhood from a storybook. She was loved endlessly and repeatedly told how special she was and she grew to believe it, even at nine years old Spencer had the spunk and confidence of a young adult. It’s a good thing too, because she’d grow to need that sort of attitude in the coming months.
  
  On Spencer’s tenth birthday, her mother was running late to her party and ended up never making it. Her and her father didn’t find out why until a day later when her body was found in an alleyway across town, a birthday gift for Spencer in the bag that lay beside her. It was traumatizing to say the least and all they knew for sure was that a vampire had done it due to the two fang marks on her neck. Everyone suspected it was an E-Level, but none were ever found and there were never any more attacks in the area.
  
  The years went by and the youthful and playful Spencer Fields that her father once knew hardened into someone new. Spencer grew into an intelligent and stubborn young woman, wanting to be a writer as she grew older. When her and her father received a letter requesting her attendance at Onyx Academy, her father’s immediate response was no. He was even willing to go to the alliance about it due to what happened to Spencer’s mother. However, Spencer wanted to go. She wanted to learn all she could about these creatures that took her mother from her.
  
  After spending hours talking it out with her father, it was decided that Spencer would attend school at Onyx, even though her dad wasn’t a fan of the idea.   minerva has always been a rather rebellious lady. she has never been good at following the rules or playing the delicate damsel-in-distress role. she is a reckless--forever throwing herself into impossible situations without thinking and putting her own life on the line. not only does she have a fiery temper but she is also incredibly stubborn. like, good luck changing this girl's mind once she makes a decision on something. and if you are looking for forgiveness after betraying her or wronging her in some kind of way? good luck with that one too. you see, she is a bit dramatic and very passionate at that.
  
  even with her bold personality, mina is quite the secret keeper. she is distrustful of others, especially strangers. though she might seem confident, she has her own insecurities and has this self-loathing part of her that often presents itself when she is very upset about something. in simplest terms, she is her own worst enemy. as one could imagine from someone who struggles to accept themselves, the vampire definitely has a sense of humor that helps combat reality. she always seems to have a witty remark for everything.

  minerva was the second born illegitimate child of a fairly wealthy, centuries-old, pureblooded vampire and a human woman. her mother was her father's beloved mistress whom he did not care to keep secret from his legal wife. while her stepmother did have a son of her own, mina and bastian were favored by their father, which obviously caused some issues between them and their father's other family. of course, being half-bloods, they were not regarded in the same light or with the same respect as their pureblooded brother as they were forbidden to attend many public events by the family, but their father tended to allow them more freedom and was generally warmer towards them.
  
  as a child and adolescent, mina was never close to her cunning siren of a mother nor was she ever good enough for the woman. her mother wanted to carve her into a woman who would be her mirror, but minerva was never one to abide by the rules. of the three de quincey children, mina was the troublemaker, especially in her teen years. unlike bastian, she never sought to blend into the vampiric society as she had concluded from a young age that she would never live up to her parents' expectations. despite this, the young vampire was not immune to insecurities that arose from being a part of a dysfunctional family.

  Jade provokes others, and makes them want to fight, she's definitely been in the hospital one too many times. Does she realize she's doing this? No way. She is usually trying to make friends when she gets into fights. She has no idea how to make friends. Through her air of confidence, it's clear to see that she's really an idiot and a big softy even though she acts like a brat a lot of the time.
  
  When she's not getting fucked over because she doesn't know how to fight or make friends, she watches old Horror films. Due to this interest, she's developed a bit of an... Unhealthy interest in Vampires. The idea of someone being harsh and sweet is such a strange concept to her fucked up mind that she yearns for it.
  
  She jumped at the chance to be a blood bag. She's gotten used to pain by now. She's incredibly unlucky in life and is very happy she gets to be around something she's interested in.
  
  Jade is a whole train wreck, but the perfect snack for Vampires, so she thinks, or so she wants to be. Being used for her blood is perfectly good to her, she at least might get some emotional connection with them that way, if old movies are anything to go by.

  Jade was born into a wealthy family, wealthy enough to own a mansion and give a child anything they could ever want.
  
  Jade wasn't given anything.
  
  She was a bastard, unwanted, a symbol of infidelity. Of course, they didn't just give her up, that would be horrible publicity, so she was shoved to the back rooms, with hardly anything, only her barest of needs met, she hardly ever saw anyone but the servants, they didn't pay the bastard kid any mind.
  
  The only time she ever got anything more was when they used her to garner the public sympathy, 'Bastard child was taken in and cared for like own child.' And other such false words and articles.
  
  When she turned seven, her half-sibling had fallen ill and passed away, she, the bastard was the only one left who could continue the family work, her parents being unable to have any more children themselves.
  
  They were particularly harsh on her, she stopped being able to go outside in favor of lessons, and even sleep was sacrificed, she became the perfect heir, confidant, bright, and mean.
  
  She developed quite the harsh personality though she was nothing like that under the surface and soon she lacked the ability to turn it off, she didn't know how to go back to being the ignored bastard child from being the ignored heir.
  
  She yearned for any affection she could get, she wanted it so badly it hurt. She was always in pain, at first she hated it, the callouses on her hands and the bloody noses from the hard thing she endured but eventually...
  
  When the pain was the only time you got attention, your brain fucks itself up and makes you like it, so there she was at 13 she intentionally tripped, fell down flights of stairs, and bled and bled. She always got attention when she was hurt.
  
  It was the only way she could get anything, a brush of a hand against her head, a worrying gaze. It was the only thing keeping her going forward.
  
  Her parents died when she turned 18, it was Jade's fault but she didn't feel particularly bad about it, it was their fault they hadn't replaced the fire alarms in years after all, even if she was the one who knocked down the candelabra.
  
  She had the family fortune, she hated it, she didn't know how to spend it, she'd never had her own money before. So she gave it away, to anyone who would be her friend who kissed her, who gave her any attention.

But even then that isn’t saying much since the Hewes are known for being quiet and being content with observing rather than interacting with society. But one thing always gets noticed is her intense stare. As if she’s dissecting someone with her eyes. Another stand out trait Cassandra has is her morbid way of talking. When she does smile it looks quite unnatural and more like the way a predator would smile knowing their prey is cornered. Cassandra is considered a disturbed individual although it’s not known if this existed before or after the sudden and tragic death of her parents.
  
  Cassandra can be considered the little devil on a person’s shoulder or often something akin to a demon herself. Even growing up her parents were worried about her due to her unusual interest. Once she was even caught killing a bird, although she swears it was out of mercy for it was injured. Dismembering her dolls and altering them to resemble abominations. And even greatly harming other kids that have picked on her or her brother. Although, Cassandra swears they were accidents and the kids wouldn’t say otherwise out of fear.

  Alexander is the embodiment of the tall and silent type. Making many people think he is mute on occasion. He often only communicates to and through his sister. It is one of the reasons why the two share many classes together. When he is called on it is often Cassandra that will be there by his side to answer for him. While his sister’s glare is known to be penetrating, Alex’s stare is often like he is looking right through you.
  
  For the few that are able to speak and interact with Alex, they say he is actually well mannered. His blank stares offset by his etiquette. Alexander is considered the Yang to his sister's Yin. While the two are quiet, the sister is known for a mean streak and silent outburst--a silent observer. When around her brother these actions are much less prone to happening. But Alexander believes in proper punishment and karma. He is almost never seen admonishing his sister over her rash actions as if he condones what she does.

  The Hewe family. A wealthy family. Often works in tandem with the Hellicks to mend the and build the bond between vampires and humans. A generous family but also a thinning line only succeeded by the two siblings with no other close relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Hewe are known to be generous and kind although there were rumors that more sinister plots were going on behind closed curtains. But the rumors were never exposed as truth and remained nothing more than idle gossip until the siblings came around. The twins were often said to be the true nature of the Hewe's.
  
  Cassandra and Alexander were always strange kids. Pale, antisocial, and distant from everyone but each other. But their parents were at least grateful the two were close to each other. But then by the time the two siblings were in grade 10 other traits started showing that gave cause for concern. Particularly, from Cassandra. Being associated with several “accidents” that left other students injured. Threat of physical violence against others. And from the brother there were signs of him burying dead animals although he swears he wasn’t the cause. Even though some of them were dissected when uncovered.
  
  Their parents became worried they had two disturbed children on their hands and were conflicted on what to do with them. Should they separate them and send them to different schools? Maybe the cause of problem behavior was caused by being together.
  
  While this decision was being pondered their estate caught fire where their parents perished. The two siblings happened to be out the morning it happened. It is heavily suspected to be arson although there is no proof. The detectives found the timing to be coincidental that a few weeks before the siblings were going to be sent away their parents became deceased. As it was known the two rarely left their estate. Other people suspected it was vampires or people working for them to discourage the attempt to pledge the two opposing sides as "equals." But no proof of the fire being malicious was found. Or at least was made public...
  
  There was a will that did leave them with their parents fortune. And since their parents death was ruled as a suicide rather than a homicide the will remained unchanged. The two were to remain in foster care until they were of age to inherit their fortune. They went from home to home. Many people not being able to handle the unusual and seemingly hostile presence of the siblings.
  
  When they finally became of age there was one final clause in the will before they would claim the family fortune. Attending and graduating Onyx Academy. It was decided quite some time ago but unfortunately, never came up in conversation. It wasn’t a big secret that the Hewe siblings held a sort of curiosity of the vampires. Although, with these two it was more of a scientific fascination than an idolization. They were too closed off during a majority of their lives to really understand what the vampires were or what exactly their place was in society. They just knew the basic rules about curfews.   Drakkar is the type of individual who can pale compared to others when in a room. His graceful and solemn aura might attract some eyes and warrant compliments, but he shies from the limelight unless spoken to. Drakkar, an artist at heart, spends most of his free time studying anatomy and geometrical structures of various objects and wakes of life. Often, he can be spotted in the courtyard sketching his soul away.
  
  Drakkar would appear to be a well-read man upon conversation, quoting novels and whatnot. Although he can have a rather calculating persona, he can be spontaneous when the situation arises. Having a draw towards danger, Drakkar fears little. Or, perhaps it's coming face to face with the fears that give him such a high? A true adrenaline junky.
  
  Drakkar admires powerful figures, with a moralistic conscious, of course. Not one for romance; you wouldn't usually find Drakkar to be the flirtatious type. He has better things to do with his time, like stuffing his head with endless knowledge from the house library. Still, that doesn't mean the right person can't come along.

  Drakkar is a foster child, but that's not to say his childhood was bleak. It was rather the opposite. He grew up cherished, nourished, and admired for his intelligence. He had been adopted into a large family at the age of six, and one of his older sisters fell prey to a vampire during one of her late trips home. Drakkar still did not blame vampires for her death, but merely her own lack of caution (not that he doesn't miss her, but he couldn't find it in himself to place the blame on anyone else, as he believes everyone is responsible for themselves). When he heard about the open enrollment at Onyx Academy, he leapt at the opportunity to apply and "study" these creatures of the night. Although his family was gravely against it, they knew they couldn't restrain his ambitious soul.

  Reya can appear sweet and innocent-looking, trying to live up to that image. But she's prone to a lousy temperament if she doesn't get her way. She won't go out of her way for others she doesn't care about or knows. But she's a huge animal lover and would gladly risk her life for their safety. Reya often overworks herself and pushes herself beyond her limits.
  
  If she finds someone she admires or adores, expect her to be a bit possessive. Don't expect this woman to give up an argument quickly. She's stubborn and holds grudges. She's also a little bit mischievous and enjoys teasing others or placing them in awkward situations.

  Reya can produce static shocks through touch. Imagine shocking yourself on metal after rubbing against the carpet. It's like that.

  Reya's main ability is the use of red-hued lightning. This is lightning that when it makes contact with its opponent, tickles them. It mimics hands tickling its victim.
  
  Limitation: Wears off in 30 seconds. Victims of this magic find it difficult to focus or move around, but they are not completely disabled. Unless you are really susceptible to tickling. That's on you.
  
  "Light me up"
  
  Reya can use lightning to form red balls of light. This can be used to light a path or provide a shield against elemental attacks by absorbing the energy.
  
  Limitations: The shield is not immune to physical attacks. While in use as a shield, the user cannot move from the spot they stand on. If moved by an outside force or themselves, the shield breaks and cannot be used for another ten minutes.

  Reya grew up in the esteemed Dierlock family. Among human society, they're most known for their astounding tea company chain, Tea me Everything. They are however, at the heart, information brokers. The family hosts an annual vampiric banquet with invitations only to purebloods (although they are permitted to bring a half-blood as a guest if they so desire). The main purpose of this event is for wealthy families to gather and discuss business, arrange marriages, debut in society, etc. They do not make financial donations to Onyx Academy, but rather serve useful trading important information on foreign vampiric families as well as seek info that the Academy may require.
  
  Reya has grown up rather sheltered, and only really has a bond with her human maid, Elvie. Reya is the youngest of her siblings, and all her interactions with her family is formal. Her siblings if anything, are a bit abusive to her; taking advantage of her naivety and ignorance of the world. She's never been able to freely go out and explore the world as she's always wanted to because of her parent's strict nature.   Saren strongly embraces sarcasm and dark humor, not bothering to sugarcoat a word that leaves her lips. Tact isn't in her blood, as well as sympathy. Daring and challenging, she doesn't miss a chance to push herself to the limits. She's a delinquent through and through, there is no denying it. Her eyes are often clouded with mischief, and she does what she can to wreak a bit of havoc. Impulsive and indirectly narcissistic, don't be alarmed if you don't receive that compliment you were fishing for.
  
  Easily distracted, Saren often refrains from long conversations, dipping around to involve herself in as many tasks as she possibly can. The woman bores frequently, and is constantly on the lookout for something or someone to mess with. Though quick to judge, she's also quick to forgive if you rub her the right way. This can include offering her an ample amount of snacks.

  There isn't too much to discuss about Saren's upbringing besides that her father would often abuse her mother. Despite her mother being a vampire, the clearly stronger species, she would always keel in fright under her human father's gaze. Saren never really understood this, and to this day does not. In her mind, humans are better off wiped off the face of the earth, and she hates herself for sharing DNA with them. She's also a little upset with her mother for being so weak, nothing like the vampires she's used to seeing around her. She detests the idea of humans being allowed in Onyx Academy.

With parents who were never really there and a slew of nannies left to raise the unruly child, it’s no surprise Aria grew up the way she did. Born to two purebloods who were only married for status, the young child knew nothing of love from the day she was born. Her mother, Anna, was so preoccupied with being a violinist that she simply didn’t have time to form bonds with the child while Aria’s father, Douglas, was much more interested in the human women who begged him to feed on them.

She was raised in a dysfunctional family to say the least, and yet somehow she learned manners and piano and other skills and talents from her multiple nannies. Of course, she couldn’t help but bleed one or two of the human ones dry, but her parents simply paid off their families and things continued on as they were. Aria is known to be spoiled when it comes to blood, always having had a live source to feed from rather than those pesky blood tablets. That is until she arrived at Onyx Academy, it was there that she wasn’t offered another choice, and that flustered her to no end.

When it was announced that humans would be integrating into the school, Aria was elated as she assumed it was due to the tablet shortage and needing live sources of blood. She was half-right all things considered, and even if it wasn’t what she was expecting, the human blood does suit her fancy much more. Not to mention, some of the humans even seem interesting, but maybe that’s just because she’s never spoken to one before.
