[Bloodlust] Town Square

Ohhhh /Yes/. Reading now... Thinking a Sword of Humility- Humility as my Main Virtue, Kindness as Secondary, Deadly sin of Lust...

Also. This is gunna be /fun/.

For the sake of fairness, Pineapple and I will wait to create our characters (like what weapons + virtues) after the first round of character creation. That way everyone can pick what they want without being limited (except for other players, which is fair game).

Understood...Also- Sword. That means any one handed sword type weapon, right? For Purpose of Description?
All of your weapons can be described by yourself, as the weapons transforms (virtue-wise and appearance-wise) to their owner's soul and aura. For the purpose of description its kind up to you. We originally planned the sword to be a Bastard Sword (meaning it can be used one or two handed) however the shortest you could go is a short sword, the longest is a claymore.

You will be expected to roleplay with your weapon based around its descriptions however. So don't pick something too impractical.

Remember, you can choose Major Virtues AS minor virtues. :) In that case, you pick one of the three abilities relaying to the virtue.

Yeah- but. I can't have the Sin that Corealates to my Minor Virtue anymore than I can pick the Sin that relates to my Major- right?

Wrath does have a lot of damage, but nothing else. If you want abilities that do more than just damage, wrath is terrible.

Very True- very true indeed. But that /is/ /alot/ of Damage. And I can see creative uses for Meteor, at least. Anywho, posted.

Sephiroth, you're fine, we are waiting for more characters before we approve things, and see how everyone takes the bio.

How far beyond the actual city does the protection go? Because I'm thinking of character concept right now, and I'm leaning towards either town guard or logger, and one of those is out if there isn't any trees to cut.

Well, you tell me, how far does it go? I would say farmers may exist in the outskirts of the town, within the bubble. A lumberjack is possible. But, they would harvest wood from out in the danger zone. The jobs very dangerous, and unlikely in most cities.

Now, Town Guard, we don't really have. Most cities and town run on militia.

Any other question, feel free to ask.

Well, I would assume that the city would be built well within the confines of the protective aura, and that they would have intelligently designed the city so as to leave area for farm land, so maybe 100 meters outside the wall? Also, thanks for the clarification!

Pineapple and I are going to be posting the city types (Chastity cities, etc.) and their descriptions. That way you guys can kind of get how different city types work and how they are different from the mix/mutt blood city we have now (which will be based kind of around how your bios are written).

We were originally a diligence city, but we have not been one for a while so our city is unlike any of the others we might visit (unless we create another mutt city, which is rare).

These descriptions will hopefully help you guys in working with us and everyone else in making new locations for us to roam to.

So, looking at the Sin Magic.... is the Cost, Sin it expends- that is, Current Sin it consumes- and the sin increase, an Increase in Maximum Sin?

Or does using it add to both your current and maximum sin, and the cost is by how much it adds to current?

Alright, so the start the game a Character has 0/0 Sin. Now, when your character is not in possession of a vial of Archon Blood, they are exposed to the Sin of the Wilderness. For each hour a character is exposed to the Sin of the world they will gain 1 Current Sin. So in this example, you wandered the waste without protection for 10 hours. You now have 10/0 Sin.

In a fight your character uses this sin to cast Hellfire. this will use up 6 Sin, bringing your character down to 4 This is what the Sin Cost does, it is how much current sin is used to cast the spell (much like mana in various games). However, It also has the effect of increasing your Maximum sin by 2. So your character now has 4/2 Sin. The maximum has gone up!

There are 2.5 things of note about Sin:

  1. You will transform into a Sin Beast and be considered dead in the game is your Current Sin ever reaches 30.
  2. Your Sin will naturally regenerate at a rate of 1 per hour up to your Maximum Sin. This is what increases your maximum sin does. When your Maximum Sin goes higher than 30, the rate your sin regenerates over time will increase. Once you hit 30 Maximum Sin, you WILL DIE. Not right away, not soon. But it's inevitable. You must spend sin to not change, and by spending sin it makes it generate faster. You can't go for ever.

Any other questions?
