ShadowCharmer

Sathel Veil~

† Sathel Troy †

† The Something Something †

Name: Sathel Troy (Father's Family Name: Viel)

Gender: Female

Age: 21

Maximum Virtue: 25

Maximum Sin: 0

Weapon Type: Paired Knives

Major Virtue: Diligence

Minor Virtue: Charity

Deadly Sin: Pride

Health: 19

Abilities:

Endless Barrage

(

9

)

[Diligence]

- The knife user launches uncountable knives outwards at seemingly inhuman speeds in a large area in front of them. All targets in the area will suffer damage equal to a 1D6 for each point of damage the knife wielder has.

Charge Blade Bomb

(

4

)

[Diligence]

- The knife wielder concentrates the energy of multiple knives into a single knife for one round. The amount of energy that is channeled into the knife is variable and the energy of 1d6 knives is added to the attack for each round. The knife user can extend the charging period by spending additional virtue points and waiting another round (this adds another 1d6). The bomb can be charged indefinitely but the user must throw it once they are done charging or they no longer have anymore virtue points. When thrown the glowing blue knife will explode once it collides with an object, sending each individual knife outwards from the designated point. All targets within range of the explosion will take

1D* (* depending on the amount of knives) of damage

, where the sides of the dice are equal to the amount of knives exploding outwards.

Feint

(

6

)

[N/A]

- The knife user can instantly dodge all melee attacks for one round. In this time, any attack made against the user will strike a random enemy that had also physically attacked the user in melee combat. The knife user must be aware they are about to be attacked and must know the position of attacking enemies.

Blood Blade Roulette

(

3

|

6

)

[Charity]

- The knife user imbues a knife with their own blood, creating a knife with a dark crimson hue. The knife is then thrown overhead, where it separates into 2D6 blades which seek out random targets each. If the blade collides with an enemy is will deal

1D6 damage

. However, if it collides with an ally, it heals

1D6 health

.

Impervious

(

4

|

+2

)

[N/A]

- The prideful sinner bolster their mind and willpower with their ego. This elevated mental states allows them to have immunity to mind-altering attacks and effects including: effects of virtuous/sinful auras (with the exception of prideful auras), curses, domination, possession and corruption. However because of the sheer size of a prideful sinner’s ego, the prideful sinner can choose to deflect the original mental-effect onto another target within their vision (it does not have to be the original caster). If the mental-effect was casted onto an area, the pride user can choose to have it stack onto an already afflicted subject (that target then must roll as if it were being attacked twice). The pride user however must perform the necessary rolls and succeed as if they were the original caster. This mental state will last the duration of an encounter.

Demonic Hide

(

6

|

+1

)

[N/A]

- The prideful sinner coats their body in a hellish black bark with their ego. This bark is hard as metal and weighs nothing. While this bark is applied to the sinners body, all attacks against the sinner is reduced by

50%

of their normal damage. Any damage less than 4 before the reduction is ignored. This bark will last the duration of an encounter.

Horrorific Might

(

8

|

+1

)

[Pride]

- The prideful sinner empowers their attacks and physique with their ego, giving them enhanced strength. The sinners muscles begin to ripple, and their body glows a prideful violet. During this phase the sinner gains a

4 bonus damage

and all attacks performed by the sinner creates an explosion of violet light which echos the damage outwards to all targets around the area of impact. If the ability used already has an area of effect, it becomes tripled in size. This effect lasts the duration of an encounter.

Personality:

Tricky

- As a child she found herself playing tricks on anyone in the city because sh really had nothing better to do. As she got older the skill molded her fighting techniques.

Mannered

- Sathel was raised to be a lady when she was away from her brothers and was often scolded if she didn't act as so. When she's not fighting she's trying to act proper, failing most of the time.

Repulsive

- Often speaking before thinking Sathel doesn't hold her tongue or bite back any comments that come to mind- not unless she actually cares about what people think about her.

Protective

- Once you have something you're gonna want to keep it; that's what she always says. She is protective towards anyone and anything she has feelings for.

Caring

- she wont be the kindest person of the group but she will try to help. Sathel likes to help others who need help but will often ignore those who only take care of themselves.

Stubborn

- If there was anything Sathel learned from going up in a house full of boys it was to fight for your own and not to give up without a fight. She doesn't often give up on something when her mind is set- giving up is never an option.

Prideful

- Insulting her family could result in a broken nose or arm. In any case she believes people should show some manners and respect towards each other. An insult on her isn't as offending to her as an insult on her father.

Appearance:

Height:

Fairly tall for a women, standing at 5'7

Weight:

120lbs

Hair:

Long, black, curly hair that she keeps tied up.

Eyes:

Eyes that change colors between grey and green.

Complexion:

Pale skinned

Clothing:

She often dresses like a hunter, never wearing dresses or fancy clothing

Armaments:

keeps her knives and her belt around her waist at all times

Tattoo:

She has a dragged tattoo curling around her wrist to hide a scar she got when she was little

History:

Single Parent

- She never knew her mother so she grew up believing that having two parents was weird until she was much older and found out what happened to her mother.

Tom Boy

- Grew up in the city with a fairly wealthy family, sharing a house with seven brothers and her father. She grew up acting the same as her brothers, wanting to tag along for hunting with them though she was too young.

Attention Seeking

- Her father never really glanced much in her direction but she still worked to impress him and after a while he started to pay more attention to her

N/A

- Didn't really like using manners.

Aunt

- She had to live with her mothers sister for a year when her father went out looking for the blood for the city.

Fathers Death

- Her father was killed on a hunt when she was fifteen and she found herself getting in to more trouble with the towns people.

Accident

- Ended up breaking quite a few things in a merchants shop and had to work off the cost due for the damage.

Outburst

- Took her mothers family name instead of her fathers due to the the more well known people on her mothers side that could bring her higher up in ranks. When her fathers name was mocked due to her own choice to change her name she left the man with broken limbs due to his lack of respect for others.

Pupil

- Now has her own pupil who she tries to keep out of any and all trouble whenever she can but isn't around as much as she'd like to be.

This character looks good. However you may want to include more things in your history that include more of your virtues and sins at work. That being said, the character is a good premise and is approved.

As a side note - just recognize that even though we were once a Diligence city (now we are mixed blood) and we were once hyper-capitalistic, our city wouldn't endorse slavery in the traditional sense. Indentured Servitude (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indentured_servant) is what would be common inside the settlement but not slavery. I just want to make it noted because a merchant "bought" you.

I thought I would let you know that your character gave my some Inspiration for my own character:

Incident:

When Raphael was twenty-two years old, the hospital he was working at got word that a group of hunters were ambushed by one of the few in the group who escaped. Raphael, with two other Menders took a couple of the towns militia forces to go retrieve the fallen hunters. When they arrived, the Hunters were badly injured and dieing. It was when they tried to bring them back to sanctuary that they were attacked by some sort of four legged beast. It pounced, closing the distance quickly and slashed Raphael's face, damaging his right face and eye beyond repair.

I like it! It's creepy but I'm sure we all like creepy here :D It's cool to see you pulled a story out of one of my lines

Alright, I gave your character for some reformatting. I separated out your appearance, history, relations, and personality into groupings.

The colours mean the following:

Green

- This means the personality trait is neutral, neither virtuous or sinful. This means the history entry does not show either sin or virtue in your characters actions or decisions. This means the relationship with the person is neutral in nature and did not come about for sinful, or virtuous reasons.

Yellow

- This means the personality trait is relate-able to one of your two virtues. This means the history shows one of your virtues in your characters actions or decisions. This means the relationship with the person is built upon your virtuous actions.

Purple

- This means the personality trait is relate-able to your sin. This means the history shows your sin in your characters actions or decisions. This means the relationship with the person is built upon your sinful actions.

Red

- This does not belong in this section of the profile.

All abilities have had square brackets added to them []. This says the aura of the attack/ability (for example, if it says [wrath] the attack deals wrath damage or has a wrathful effect). All basic attacks are unaligned. This is important when facing opponents with resistances or immunities.

Because of the nature of the reformatting, some things look barren. I would recommend going through, and adding explanations on how a character is the way they are. What does this personality train mean? By filling out fields, you can think about these different aspects of your character and what it means for them. How they know the people in your important relations.

Your character is approved. You do not need to do any changes, or add any more. I only recommend it if you have the time and desire, as it will likely help to better visualize and understand your character by thinking more in-depth about them.
