Fandom Blood Ties

Oh, how she hated the sand. If only it would stay where it was meant to be I then wouldn't mind it, I might have even liked the sand. Yet no one had ever taught it how to behave. Ira shacked her head slightly at this thought, a smile playing on her lips. Showed just what happened to the mind when company was nonexistent, something which was expected when one is the middle of nowhere.

Out of all the places the faction could have sent her, it just had to be Jakku. Some protection this will be, it wouldn't be long before she cooked under this sun.

Ira pulled at the cloth that was covering her face, it was grey and made of a light fabric yet did little to stop this heat that was threatening to turn her into a puddle. It was an understatement to say that she missed the cold of her home.

Ira made her way down the hill of sand that kept on slipping around under her feet. Just another reason for her dislike of sand. The only other thing there was that could match up to the sand was a gorgeous blue sky. Ira made a point to keep on looking up at the sky every so often, she never knew just when someone might be coming for. The First Order to take her prisoner, or her faction to take her back home.

Ira had been lucky, or unlucky that she hadn't seen something in the sky so far. When she looked up at the sky all of that changed. A black spot left a track of blackened smoke across the sky as it fell down to this wasteland. She let out a sigh, there went her peace but at least she would now be getting some action.

Ira quickly made her way to the bottom of the hill where her land vehicle was located, stumbling as the sand shifted under her feet. It was time to see who this new unfortunate soul was.

In a fit of rage and desperation, Commander of the Knights of Ren, Kylo himself, smashed his hands against the control panel of his ship. It wasn't his ship, but it was another First Order battleship that he was piloting in order to be undercover, in a way.
The damned thing wasn't working.

Multitudes of swears slipped through his lips and through his modulator as he rushed toward the back of the ship, bracing for impact. It would hurt, but he'd be fine. Such a trivial, stupid thing as a crashing ship wouldn't hurt someone as powerful as himself. He hoped.

It was instantaneous. One moment, sand and black smoke were screaming by through the front windshield of the vehicle. In the next, the nose of the ship plunged into the dense ground. A rumble forced Ren to his knees, and he was forced into the wall of the ship. It collided with his shoulder pretty forcefully, causing him to since in pain.

After a long minute or so had passed, the Commander willed himself to his feet. Luckily, the ship hadn't tumbled or rolled on its side. The only issue was, however, the door leading toward the world outside was crushed so badly he knew that it wouldn't open with the controls.
Grumbling and holding his shoulder gingerly, the Knight released the saber from its hold on his belt and ignited the raggedy blade. Swiftly, he cut through the door several times until he was able to kick the metal out. In a plume of smoke and sand, Kylo Ren emerged from the fallen ship.

Was the person of the resistance? From the First Order? Where they part of her own faction? Or where they just another unfortunate soul that had made a wrong turn? These thoughts plagued Ira's head as she raced towards the ship, as she got nearer she could at least tell that it was a ship of The First Order. At this, she let out a light laugh. Of to help my enemies indeed, I'd never hear the end of it.

Ira stopped a small walk from the ship, just in case it blew. It looked like it might at any moment. Saying that it was in a rough shape would be an understatement. Despite the fact that Ira could tell it could have held more than one person she didn't move from her spot. Was it worth the risk to help those that may be trapped inside? She asked herself even though her mind had already been made up.

She might be able to gather valuable intel if she helped whoever it was, and leaving someone in a situation like that would be nothing less then murder. Ira cursed herself as she got off her vehicle and headed down to the wreckage, it wasn't that she wanted to keep her hands clean, only she knew just how covered in blood they were.

To turn away was a cowards choice, she would live with the consequences of this, or die for that matter. At the very least things would be more interesting than just waiting for things to be safe again. As far as Ira was concerned things never got any safer there would always be another one waiting to strike out and bring more ruin to the galaxy. The only question was how long could they hold on for.

Coughing gently, the brute of a man took a step into the sand, his heavy boots sinking in with each step he did take. There were three others who had joined him on this mission, and he assumed they were undoubtedly gone. Not bothering to check, he hurried away from the wreckage.

Placing a finger over the button on his comm-link, the Commander called out asking for coordinates as to where he was. They had a tracker on him, should anything like this happen. He was much too valuable to their cause to lose him on some god-forsaken wasteland of a planet. He heard buzzing coming from the speaker, but no reply. Maybe his communications had been cut off? Damnit.

Groaning, Ren surveyed his surroundings. There wasn't much in terms of landmarks, as he suspected, but he did see... something. Off in the distance was a small vehicle, or what looked to be one. It was difficult to tell, as the sweltering heat was causing waves to dance across his vision.
Then he felt it. A presence.

Kylo Ren reached out with the Force, searching for whatever he had sensed. It was someone, no doubt, or something living. The tendrils of his energy flew across the desert, not stopping until he found it. He grinned wickedly, hoping whomever was out there was naive enough to come closer. If they were a member of the Resistance forces, his job just became much simpler.

If Ira hadn't cut off her connection to the force she would have felt him searching out, would have known that it would be best to turn tail and run like she never had before. Yet she had cut off her connection so didn't realise the danger she was getting herself into and just how little way there would be out of it if any at all.

Instead of being wise Ira continued to make her way down to the ship, spotting a figure on the other side. There only seemed to be the one, Ira took this as a good sign instead of questioning it like she should have. The sand and lack of action for the past few months must have started going to her head.

She wondered if she should call out and ask if they needed help or see if they were injured. In the end Ira choice a more aggressive approach, not wanting to seem like some pushover that they could just walk over. The figure was standing and had made there way out so their injuries couldn't be that bad, could they?

"You're trespassing!" Ira called even though, in theory, this land wasn't her own, nor anyone else. Yet she had made sure that none of the locals came closed to it.

Ren's cold eyes flicked up as the woman approached him. A girl. Even better. He could sense the unease within her. However, he didn't think she had figured out who she was facing.

In mocking, the man lifted his hands above his head. "Tresspassing? Oh, my bad," he called out, his modulator amplifying his deep voice.

He took a few steps in her direction, hands still above his head. "Do you have any idea where I am? As you can see, my transportation is no longer... available"

Ira knew very well that she shouldn't, though no matter how she tried she couldn't keep herself from rolling her eyes. Unless he had just dropped out of hyperspace and crashed or his navigation systems had been corrupted he would know where he was, that and there was no other place out there like Jakku.

She could tell that he was someone high up the ranks, but it wasn't that which made her blood run cold in her veins, nor was it how intimidating he was. It was nothing other than the lightsaber he held. Not that she would dare let it show how much it frightened her.

"Your on my land, on Jakku. Your new home I believe as no one gets off this wasteland," she responded as she survived him for any signs of injuries. Not out of concern, it was nothing other than a habit.

Ren cocked his head slightly at her reply. He watched as her eyes scanned his robes and body, searching for something, he supposed.

"I mean, where am I? Is there any form of civilization close to here or...?" He was growing a bit angry, as this was not the situation he wanted to be in today. Not any day, really. Jakku was a disgusting excuse of a planet, and he felt rather disgusted that he had been placed on a mission to the desolate place.

He dropped his hands now and moved one slightly over the hold of his saber. He knew she saw it, but she still wasn't... cowering away as he would expect. He was used to others trembling as he approached, she must not have a clue.

Ira let out a slight sigh, Jakku might be classed as nowhere but this spot on Jakku was more than nowhere it was a good distance to any settlement.

"That would depend on what you class as close, as this really is the middle of nowhere," Ira said as she thought. The closest outpost was a three-day walk but it would lead him past her outpost. Something which she wasn't all that keen on. she might be a part of this fight but those who were force sensitive was the one thing she wanted to stay clear of.

"The closest settlement is a week walk," Ira said as she pointed towards to the dunes behind him. Intel could be damned she would prefer to stay out of this part of the war if she could help it.

Kylo Ren nodded, following the direction of her pointing. A week, we'll see about that. He threw a glance at the land vehicle sitting not too far off amongst the tan ground.

"Is that you're?" He inquired, not looking at the girl as he moved toward the vehicle. He figured now she would attack, if it was hers, and he'd simply kill her and be done with it. She was in his way, even if she had provided crucial information.

He couldn't figure out where she was from- which side of the war she belonged to. Her clothing weren't very telling, and the way she spoke didn't give anything away.
He decided to be outright about it. "You're a Rebel, yes?"

Ira moved to stand between him and her vehicle. "Yes it is mine, and it won't last the trek to the settlement if that is hat you are thinking," she said matter of factly, even though it wasn't strictly true.

Ira narrowed her eyes at his question, a bit blunt for one of The First Order, but he was different from the rest as far as she could tell. In all honesty that wasn't saying much.

"If I was a rebel what would I even be doing here on Jakku?" She asked. Ira hopped that he wasn't in a potion that would have made him look through and memorise the faces of people that was classed as wanted. At least her face was covered by rags, she never thought it would be useful in any way other than keeping the sand off her face.

The tall man sighed, it was all getting very boring now. He wanted to get out of here and he wanted her out of his hair. "Really, girl, you must be stupid," he exclaimed before flicking his wrist. This suspended her where she was at, allowing him to walk around her side toward the vehicle.

He pushed his thoughts toward her, threatening to enter her mind. It was a ploy, he just wanted her preoccupied while she was paralyzed by the Force.

After inspecting the vehicle and finding it to be sound, he decided to address her once again. It would be easy. He could simply slice the little thing in half with his blade and be on his way. But something.. something was advising against that.

Ren strode toward her, igniting his light saber and holding the tip as close to her face as he could without cutting it. "You're going to help me get there." He stated, voice low. "I'm sure you value that pathetic life of yours. Once we're there, I'll let you go."

One other good thing that came from having cut off the force was that her mind could not be infiltrated, something of which Ira was really grateful for at this time as then it would be easy for him to know just how frightened she was right now if he chose to try.

"I know all about your kind, you'll just kill me in the end anyway," Ira said. If she had to come along then the possibility of him finding out who she went up all that more and then everything she had been trying so hard to get away from would come back.

Yet this time she didn't sound like she wanted to, a slight tremble laid within her voice, it had been a long time since she had seen a lightsaber up this close. Even those this one was unlike any she had ever seen and would otherwise fascinate her it now made her bones shake.

"You know nothing," he growled back, still keeping his hold on her. He searched her face for any signs of fear. Though it proved hard due to the cover she had over it.

"I'm going to ask nicely once more. You're going to help me find my destination, and then I'll let you go." It was a demand. Although uncertainty crept into his thoughts regarding killing her, he knew he would if he needed.

But perhaps she would prove more useful alive.

"I'm not the one here working for The First Order, so I am sure that I know more then you," Ira spat at him even though she knew this would just make her whole situation a lot worse. She had always had a hard time controlling her temper.

"As for helping you, I think I already did when I told you which way to go," she stated, even though she knew it probably wouldn't be much help to her. It was always worth a try.

"Yet if you insist, I guess I can help some more," Ira added, realising it would be easier to get away later on. When he was sleeping perhaps.

Ren simply nodded, extinguishing his saber and releasing the hold he had on her. He gestured with his hand toward her vehicle. "It seems like it's big enough for the both of us," he remarked.

Not waiting, he swung a long leg up over the top of the machine, seating himself. He figured that if she pulled anything, he'd simply vanquish the girl and continue on in the direction they were going. He'd try his comm-link again later.

Kylo pulled the hood of his cloak up over his mask to avoid sand flying up into the visor. "Well?" He called out, glaring at her. "Lets go."

Ira couldn't help but let out a sigh, this was going to stretch on a good amount. "Even with that it's going to take a good amount of time, we'll need provisions," she stated in a matter of fact tone.

She would admit that she had been in worse situations, yet out of all of them, Ira could confidentially say that this was the one that she would least enjoy. She wondered about telling him the quicker work, but chose against it, he might be more inclined to kill her then.

"Lets just get this over and done with," she spat at him before joining him.

Ren nodded, satisfied, and waited for her to hop on the vehicle. He kept one hand on his saber, which was conveniently placed so that one click and it would slice through her.

"In an hour we'll hit my outpost, we can grab supplies there," Ira said in a matter-of-fact tone as she joined him on the vehicle.

To say that she was worried about how this would go would be nothing less than an understatement, scared out of her mind was a better fit. Not that she would dare let it show, even if she couldn't stop herself from trembling ever so slightly. Yes, she has wanted some action, but not anything like this. Ira would be willing just to go back to being bored out of her mind again instead of jumping back right into the thick of it, especially after all she had done in an attempt to get away from it all.
