Blood and Roses [Inactive]

Kayla growled, hating the fact that she was thrown over the Alpha's shoulder. Like she couldn't walk! Of course she all the wiser to keep her mouth shut but she did let out a whine when she heard the two girls at it. Nevermind them! I'm in a tunnel, thrown over a guys shoulder and resisting the urge to leap off of this crazy train! Kayla cleared her throat, kicking her legs out. "I can walk, sir. You don't have to carry me if it's a burden. Besides; we're here," she spoke soft and polite. An elevator? In tunnels? Quite odd, if you ask me, but I never got to explore my old territory like this. So maybe this is just a thing they all have.

Q put her down as they waited for the elevator. "So here's our current situation as I see it, and right now I'm speculating. The Vampires are on the move which is bad news for everyone, so I figure they're probably amassing a large force of like-minded vamps and I wouldn't put it past them to use their charisma power and charm to also sway some wolves to their side," The elevator dinged and opened, and he ushered everyone on before swiping the card inside the elevator and pressing the top blank button, "I had a talk with a Vampire some hundred years ago or so and turned down his offer and had been doing my thing ever since, and I guess this is probably the kind of thing he was warning me about," the elevator started to make its way up, "I forget his name, but maybe if we're lucky I'll get a phone call from someone who will most likely gloat and take responsibility for ruining a great cover I had going and offer me some kind of deal...not that I'd take one but who can turn down a face-to-face with whose tried to ruin their peaceful way of living. But then again, as I said, I'm simply speculating. It would be nice to see some familiar faces again, but I don't think you guys would be able to handle the kind of pressure those people give off," He looks to Kayla, "If I made you freak out earlier then you wouldn't last 10 seconds in a room with these people...no offense meant." He patted her on the head. "You guys are like fam-," his computer monitor came to mind, "You guys are my family now." Realizing all he said, he turned to see Sarah half sleep on Lucy's back. Thank god, I think I'll leave Lucy in charge of Sarah's care.

Kayla smiled, feeling something. "You're very kind, Mister Q. Really. But I don't understand, sir forgive me. How many vampires? A clan? An army?" she looked to him with wide eyes. She wanted to bat his hand away but smiled instead. "And sir, we're actually going to meet the Pack now, aren't we? They won't..." she trailed off, looking to the doors.

Arriving at the top of the elevator shaft with a ding, she shifted Sarah into a princess position. She smiled and shifted to where she had a free hand and swiped the hair out of the girls face. Looking up Kayla and Q and now into the room she whistled softly, impressed.

Trying to diffuse the tension in case if Sarah was awake, she motioned her head to the sleeping girl. "I must say.. that shower is calling my name.. questions are, where can I put Sarah down safely and the most important of all is... where on EARTH is the shower!" She laughed and with a wink, stepped out of the elevator and admired the stylish penthouse.

Kayla watched Lucy step forward without a fear in the world. She admired her but stuck next to her Alpha, something her Mother taught her to do. Stay by your Alpha's side. You'll gain respect and move your position much faster. She looked after the two girls, wanting to join them but knew her spot beside the female was already taken. By a human?! She shook her head, blinking her worries away.

Quentin walked into the Penthouse, "Ladies," he pointed to the big double doors on the left, "I believe 2 queen size beds and a few hold out are in there. It's a full room lots of space and a giant bathroom. Have at it. Feel free to drop Sarah on the bed in there. I leave her in your charge." He noticed that Kayla had decided to stick by his side. "As for you," he motioned her to follow him into the living quarters, and made his way over to a custom-made bar that he had personally built himself, "I owe you some important information...also yes, the rest of our Pack will be here later. Don't fret though because they aren't staying it''s more of a check-in...and let's not hop into the vampire tales just yet." He cleaned two glasses and set them both on the bar, and from behind the bar filled their glasses with the contents of the bottle that he had been holding. "If you sip it slowly it'll help relieve some of your tension and stress, it's a homemade recipe that is a hit with Pack when they've had a long day," He took a sip. "I want you to feel comfortable here, and I still get the sense that we're exactly on the same page. You've become my..." that word still gave him pause because the issue hadn't been brought up yet, "become my family and as such I need to know that I can trust you, I think I can so I'm going to tell you something that I want you to keep to yourself as well as something I need you to find out," He leaned in close so he could whisper but not close enough to cause her too much discomfort. "My daughter, that I lost years and years ago has a moon-shaped birthmark on her left shoulder," he smiled as he recalled the memory, "and a friend had been tracking clues for me and until tonight I had heard nothing. The photo of my possible daughter was sent to me, and it was of your friend, Lucy. Do you think you could look into the birthmark for me...but whatever you do, do not mention any of what I've said to you to her regardless if the mark is there or not. Once you know, I want you to let me know, Understood? I'm placing my trust in you just like you've entrusted your life to me, and I promise that your trust was well-placed." His voice was calm and even, like a parent giving a child directions on how to look both ways before crossing the street.

She smiled towards Quentin, and headed towards the bedroom. She softly placed Sarah on the bed, sliding off her shoes gently and pulling the covers over her. Moving towards the dressers in the room, I wonder if there's any clothes in here, and hopefully some that might fit me...

She opened each of the drawers and luckily found a pair of boxer shorts, some pajama pants, and a tank top. That's good enough for now... She then moved to the bathroom where she seen the massive shower with multiple shower heads on each side. Now this, is what I'm talking about. She hunted around the bathroom finding a razor as well as a towell and other necessities for her shower.

While she was in there, a few thoughts raced around her mind. Kayla.. she's quite fantastic, yet I don't know if she's into me like that. It's obvious Sarah is, just to what extent.. what about when she finds out what I really am and I explain all of this to her. She turned on the shower, leveling out the heat to her comfort and got undressed quickly excited for the shower in a strange way. Never again will I get on an airplane.

While doing this, she didn't even notice that the door was cracked as she got inside the steaming shower.

Kayla sat at the bar, sipping the drink slowly, just as he said. She nodded at the instructions, keeping her eyes averted. The poor guy. He lost his daughter. I couldn't ever go through with that if I ever had a child. He must've been so busy with the Pack to the point where he had to entrust his friend to search for his own daughter. Just the fact that his own daughter might've been feet away from him must already have him off the deep end. "Of course, sir. This won't ever be spoken of until I find the information for you. A half-moon, correct?" she blinked, searching for the utmost clarity. Really, Kay, you're out doing yourself! You should get yourself some ice cream later!

"Trust me you'll know it when you see. There's no mistaking it. Also...be nice to Sarah when she wakes up because there's gonna be a lot info for her to absorb later

"Of course, sir," she nodded. She drank the last of her drink and stood up, her eyes drifting to him. "Anything else?" she asked politely, listening to the rooms around them. She could hear people moving and breathing but nothing of the sorts that would indicate a vampire. "I can stay if you wish."

"You don't have to do that now," he smiled as he continued to sip, "I could use a drinking buddy." He raised his glass to her. "I'd like to officially welcome you into my Pack, although the other members won't be here till a little bit later. Plus, I'd like to get to know you...and please, just call me Q, I already have one that won't drop the "sir" act and it makes me feel even older than I am." He laughed at himself as he waited for her to join him.

The water hitting her from all sides was amazing. They massaged some the kinks from her back as she relaxed, the first time she had relaxed in a while. Noticing the panel inside of the shower that played music she turned it on, and began singing along with the Lumineer's "Ho Hey"

"...I belong with you, and you belong to me, you're my sweet, heaarrtt" she sang in a sweet voice, harmonizing as she danced a bit in the shower, feeling safe and warm for the first time since she was a little girl.

Family.. She thought. This is my family. And once I find my parents, ill be home. Home at last she smiled and admired the birthmark in the mirror. You know, maybe I can ask Kayla if she knows anything about the moon birthmark...

Kayla smiled and laughed as well, nodding. "Alright, Q. And I have to say I'm a great drinking buddy. It's the only thing that got my sister off my mind. But, that's just a boring story," she shrugged. "Thank you, though. Really. I don't think anyone has ever had this much faith in me, let alone an Alpha. May I?" she nodded to her empty glass and the full bottle. She felt comfortable sitting next to him. Maybe he just needed to laugh. Her ears perked, hearing a singing far off. Lucy's got quite the lungs, might I say. She suppressed a smile.

"I'll take that as a compliment, the rest of the pack would consider it my biggest weakness, but I guess under the circumstances I can't really refute their claims," he filled her glass, "Your sister, huh? I don't mind listening to a story if you're up to tell one. I'd tell you a story, but as the Alpha mine are definitely boring. I'd end up telling you about the time I put the pack in a timeout because of internal-pack disputes," he chuckled as he recalled the memories, "def couldn't ask for a more loyal bunch." His voice trailed off as he finished that statement as his mind was pulled to his most trusted companion, the one who had betrayed the Pack. "A great drinking buddy, you say?" A smile quickly returned, "We're gonna have to put that claim to the test." He reached over the bar and pushed a button beneath it. The glass that covered the wall behind the bar slowly segmented open revealing bottles upon bottles; some were very rare find and others were his homemade brew. "Don't tell the others about this though, I love telling them we ran out and seeing their faces, only because you get to see them really light up once I tell them I've suddenly found another one that I didn't remember placing somewhere." He wasn't sure why he was being so comfortable around her, may be it was because the way she is now closely resembled how he was when they first banded together. Either way talking to her came naturally and he was having a good time.

Sarah slowly began to stir and with her eyes still closed and feeling the bed beneath her and around her she assumed that all that had happened must have been a dream, but as she lay there she heard the girl's voice singing and suddenly her eyes opened wide as her heart began to race. That was real? There's no way! that means she really kissed me... As Sarah sat up she realized she definitely wasn't in her apartment anymore, and although that voice seemed like it belonged to the girl from the bar she wasn't entirely sure. Everything that happened seemed to be something straight out of a movie, but she wanted to see for herself so she crept across the room to what appeared to be the bathroom. She slowly cracked the door opened, and steam began to pour out and instantly the humid air coated her with a small lining of water, and as it slowly cleared she spied on the girl dancing and singing in the shower. Her head was spinning now, she wasn't sure what to do or what was going but at the moment she didn't much care because she was memorized watching her. She realized she had been standing there for too long when she noticed most of the steam had left the room, and then as she tried to leave unnoticed she closed the door with a notable THUNK! Oh my god! She definitely heard that...what should I do, what should I do?!? Sarah raced back to the bed she woke up in and jumped in, and decided to just wait for her to come out. I can definitely play this off, it's not like she saw me or anything...

"Weakness? If I might say, there's nothing weak about you so far. And of course, they must look like children on Christmas morning!" she smiled, remembering one of her Christmas's. "My sister. She was a human and a special one at that. Before this, I lived in another Pack. We were small and kept together. But I could never stay still like my Mother wanted. I couldn't take over the Pack like my Father told me to. But I stayed in touch with them. Until I heard my sister was sick with lung cancer. I came back as soon as I could. But she was dying. In our Pack, there was a rule against turning humans. My Father even told me that. But, by my own stupid will, I tried turning her. But her body rejected the change, sentencing her to a painful death. I was exiled for murder and rebellion against the Pack. He spread the world about me, angry by that fact that I 'killed' my sister. So most Packs reject me, hearing of my murder. Soon it became the rumor that I've killed many. A hitman for hire. I've actually had a few men ask me to do their dirty work," she snorted, taking a gulp of her drink. Somewhere she heard a door slam and she smiled.

Hearing the think, she stopped dancing and turned to see the door was now closed and a shadow was underneath the door. She smirked and took a deep breath smelling Sarah's rose scent that she was starting to get familiar with. Hmm... this could be fun she thought rinsing out her hair as "talk dirty to me" came on.

She quickly dried off and turned off the shower, drying her hair in the towell while doing so. smirking she opened the bathroom door and seen the disheveled Sarah sprawled across the bed and heard her heart racing. If I mess with her now, we both won't get any sleep she thought with a smile.

She walked into the living room over to the bar smiling at Kayla and Quentin brightly, picking up the bottle and pouring quite a bit into a red solo cup.

"So what we talking about in here?" She smiled at them both and went behind the bar, flashing her birth mark not realizing it.

Kayla smiled and nodded it to it behind her back. That was easy. "Nothing," she spoke quietly. "Shower nice?" she asked politely, the jealousy for the other girl rising once again. She shifted just an inch closer to Q, watching Lucy intently. "What ARE we talking about, Alpha?" she winked at him, smiling.

Quentin listened intently. "I'm sorry to hear about your sister," he finished his glass and filled it back up, "I do recall an email or something about a wolf gone rouge from another Pack leader, but I prefer to hear the story from the source itself rather than relying on what others say. Telephone can be a dangerous game," he paused, "I think that's the right child's game reference. Anyway..." he stopped as Lucy emerged from the girl's side and came over. He nearly dropped his glass as he saw the mark and became flustered for a moment, but reading the vibe Kayla was emitting he remember his job. Pack before self...with that said he winked back at her. "We were simply discussing Kayla's future in the pack and how I think she'd be a great Beta for this Pack," He was pouring charm as he slowly brushed the hair fro her face behind her ear, "We were just getting to know each other...," He leaned in and took in her scent deeply, "just getting to know each other better." He was using this also as an opportunity to tease Kayla. He couldn't help it, and plus it helped remind him that he wasn't currently doing this in front of a girl that could possibly be his long lost daughter. He decided to strike that from mind until it could truly be confirmed. "Her scent is strong, filling..." he stopped as he went back to his drink, "You know all this stuff though. Just sharing a few drinks and having a nice chat." He turned and looked at Kayla with a hint of desire. "How was your shower?" He said switch back to a normal tone.

Noticing how the alpha was towards Kayla, her body heat rose wanting to... She didn't even know.. was it jealously? She downed the cup in two quick drinks and calmed herself forcing a smile at Quentin. "It was pretty nice." She looked away and towards the window which she walked over to taking a deep breath at the sight before her. "It's stunning..." She said almost breathless.

Quentin went back to drinking his drink. "I'm glad you approve. It is definitely easy on the eyes." He pours another drink into a red solo cup, "Isn't Sarah up about now..." He went and stood behind the bar. "The others will be here in about an hour or so, and when they do we'll just see what it is everyone has to say and what they think.

Kayla cleared her throat. "Beta would be an honor, Alpha. But I don't think its right for me to just waltz in here and just snatch the job. I feel like I must do something to earn your trust," she teased, smiling toothily. "How did you come upon such a stunning place? You must be very wealthy," she spoke with her mouth halfway on her drink, looking past the rim. She could smell the jealousy on her and smiled.

Quentin leaned in and got almost face to face. "We can definitely discuss what actions will get you that position." He smiled seductively before taking a long draw of his drink, and then he lifted her face up towards his a bit, "I've definitely made a lot of good investments over the years. I knew they would come in handy someday." He gave a small growl of yearning.

Turning back to see Quentin not cuddled up to Kayla she sighed in relief for a second, then curiously she asked "do you guys think you could help me with the parent situation as well? All I have to go by is this birth mark in all honesty." Hoping to divert them from getting much closer.

Feeling her rage surface again, she shoved it back down. Let's... let's just get Sarah after this. I don't know if I'll be able to stand through this much more. She thought.

She walked up to them, heat radiating from her and pulled the strap of her tank aside and showed them her birth mark.

Quentin was having fun playing this game, but the birthmark had brought everything back to the forefront. It's her! She is...I've waited years for this...but what should I do. Even his wolf was anxious and hyper. The game ended as his glass slipped from his hand and spilled all over his pants. "Damnit!" He shot up from his seat staring down at the mess he made. What should I do? Do I just blurt out I'm your father? I've waited for our reunion for so long and I don't know what to say... "Give me a moment, I'll be right back." He moved quickly to his side of the penthouse and closed the door with a little more intensity than necessary and rushed to the bathroom, locking the door. What the hell, Quentin! You've found her haven't you, so why...why can't you tell her. She seems happy she would probably be even happier to know. But if she's here then what has happened to her mother, my wife, Isabella. His emotions were boiling over and he stumbled over to the shower, cut the water on and turned on the music as loud as he could...he couldn't hold it in anymore and let out a long and powerful howl.

----

Sarah had decided to see what was going on out in the living room, and as he turned the knob and opened the door she saw both girl's from the bar and a moment later a howl that sounded like an animal in pain. The sound was like nothing she had ever heard before, it seemed to have an unbelievable force behind it. She stumbled backwards into the room and for some reason she slowly began to weep. She didn't know what was going on and instantly became frightened. What was that? Somebody help me! She didn't know what was happening to her but her body seemed to be filled with a sense of grief mixed with fear and happiness, but because she didn't understand why she could control her own emotions right now, her fear doubled

Feeling confused as to the sudden disappearance of Quentin, she looked to see Sarah come into the room. Thank god, now I can just move my hips a little and watch how red the girl--- she heard the howl. Waves of sadness poured through her causing her almost to double over and weep at the raw emotion behind it. Shit, Sarah. Looking over she seen Sarah fall to a crumple and she latched onto Kayla who she wrapped her arm around her waist looking into her eyes searching for something, what she didn't know.

She let go softly and made her way to Sarah wiping her tears off the girls face gently. What did I do.. does he know? I've never felt a howl that powerful in my life.. She thought, still resisting the urge to change, knowing it would scare Sarah senseless. Pushing the wolf in her down, she pulled the girl into her lap as she sobbed, looking at Kayla as she stroked the girls hair.

I want to say something, claim her, I don't know.. but I have no idea what to do.. She thought, unable to keep her mind on the crying girl in her arms, her thoughts jumbled with the recent events.
