Blind Date Blues

Alexandria smiles and laughs."well then I shall not change."She said and grabbed her drink. She drank some of it nervously. Was she really falling for him. He had left his attitude at home. She was suprised, she liked Americans at all from all she heard. " I see well at least you will be seeing them soon." Alexandria said. She rubbed the back of her neck. She looked over at her friends, they were whispering and smiling.Alexandria looked away and sighed. "So what are you majoring in?" She asked him

"Liberal arts, which is just a fancy.way of saying I wanna be a teacher. I tutored all through high school and I love to see people succeed. If I can affect entire generations with my abilities, how amazing would that be? My students could become scientists, senators, astronauts, doctors, anything, and I will have helped them there."

Nick spoke with passion and zeal, his eyes sparkling.

She nods."that be amazing and very interesting. Not something many people want to do anymore."Alexandria said and smiled. She watched him and sighed.why had she not seen this side of him before.

The bartender finally came up."last call you two."Alexandria looked up.was it already that late. She smiled. "Oh um thank you. There friends had left her ride home was gone. She cursed silently. She just call a cab.

"Oh um, if you wanted, I have a car, and uh, I could maybe, if you didn't mind going with me I'd take you to where you, ah, lived?" Nick stammered awkwardly, blushing a bit as he tried to offer this gorgeous woman a ride home.

She looked at him." Oh um yeah thank you. Let me just pay for my drink and we can go." She said. She grabbed her purse and smiled gently. "Thank you for the offer it is kind of you." She said and blushed.

"Oh here!" Nick said and grabbed her bill. He slapped a handful of cash on the bar and smiled at her, offering her his arm as he stood ready to leave. "Miss, to your chariot?"

Alexandria looked surprised at his action. She stood off the bar stool. She took his arm and smiled. "Cute." She said. She walked with him to his car, her breath showed in the night air.

Nick almost shivered a little. His shirt was more handsome than functional, and he hadn't expected to be at the restaurant that late. He saw how well Alexandria handled the cold and grinned. "Maybe I should let you hold me for a minute to warm me up!" he joked, unlocking his car.

She smiled and turned to him."funny, isn't the guy supposed to warm the girl up." She said. She laughed and winked at him. She got into the car when he opened her door. He warmed up the car and she gave him directions to her apartment. She sighed as he pulled up to it."want to come in?" She asked him. Her hand on the door."Also thank you for tonight. "She said.

"Uh, yes, yeah! That would be lovely! You're lovely... um, uh company! Ha ha eh..." he stammered a bit, totally lost at this point but still managing to elicit a small smile from Alexandria. He felt mildly foolish, but at the same time, he didn't care. A beautiful, smart, sharp girl with a sexy accent was inviting him inside! "How did I ever dislike you?" he thought, following her in.

She smiled and walked up to her apartment and unlocked the door. She let him in and turned on the light. She threw her key's in a bowl by the door."so small but do able to the right is the kitchen, left hall bathroom and bedroom and here is my living room."she said and smiled."like I said not much, but it works." She said."just to let you know your countries laws are stupid with having to be 21 to drink." She said. She grabbed a wine bottle and two glasses. "Wine?" She asked. She went over to the fireplace and lit it up. "Best thing about top floor fire place."she said

"Yeah, a fire is just the thing for a chill evening, and I would love a glass of wine." Nick never drank wine, but his mama didn't raise a fool. A beautiful woman had invited him to her place, and if she offered him tap water from a shoe he would say Yes.

He took the glass she handed him amd tentatively had a sip. He didn't know what he'd had to drink before today, but it wasn't wine. The dark fluid he tasted was rich, heady and complex, just like Alexandria. "Wow... that's incredible," he said, and stared into her eyes, mildly awed.

Alexandria smiles and handed him a glass. She sighed and sat on the couch. She sipped her wine and kicked off her shoes. She pulled her feet up under her."yeah brought that from Ireland along with some real Irish whiskey. Wasn't going to open except for with someone special. Same for the wine. I would say you are someone special."She said and smiles at him. She put her hair behind her ear, she watched him drink the wine."you don't drink much do you?"She asks gently

"Heh, is it that obvious? I'm a big guy, but the truth is, alcohol goes right to my head, so I tend to avoid it. But tonight, well, I kind of feel a little light headed anyways, so why not have some wine to blame it on?" He sat on the couch a couple feet away from her, and felt mildly hypnotized by everything she did. The casual way she flipped off her shoes, the grace with which she sat on the couch, the delicacy of her hand slipping behind her ear. Even her ears were cute... "Whoa, easy fella," Nick thought to himself.

Alexandria laughed."a bit I am use to it from over in Ireland

Alexandria smiles and laughs. "Its obvious, but cute. I am just use to it from back home. It is much more Taboo out here then back there."She said. She held her glass and smiles at him."So any sports or Hobbies?"She asked.

Death to all betrayers

"Oh yeah? I suppose the drinking ages are pretty different out there, plus you all are famous for your spirits, so you must have a pretty high tolerance. Just promise you're not trying to get me drunk and take advantage of me, haha!" He winced after saying it, but hid hid blush with a sip of wine.

"They are different you can drink at dinner with family and when you turn 16 in some places others 18. High tolerance yes thats true."She said. She laughed at his comment."again isn't that supposed to be the girls comment.no its okay, but you can stay since tomorrow is Saturday and it is already late."She said. "Plus we have to work on our project any way."Alexandria said. She sighed and put her glass on the table and watched him.He was funny and sometimes said things he didn't mean to. Alexandria thought it different and refreshing for a change.

"Hmm, that is the second or third time I've done something like that tonight, heh," Nick mused out loud, taking another big sip of the wine. "I guess I feel like I don't have to be the big dominate male with you. You're a strong woman, Alexandria." He loved saying her name out loud and actually shivered a little when he did. "Hoo boy," he thought, "take it easy, Nick." She had just invited him to spend the night at her place, and he had no idea if there was any subtext, but he wasn't worried. The graceful way her body stretched as she set her glass down was amazing, and he found himself staring at her, smiling.

She smiled "its fine dont worry about it. We all have those moments."She said. She smiled at him as he said dominate male and strong woman. She laughed and shook her head."well thank you. I think."She said. She sighed and looked at the time."well thank you for tonight, I had fun. I really should be off to bed. Warmth from the fire is making me tired."Alexandria said. She got up slowly and smiles. "Couch or bed?"She asked. She didn't care if she shared the bed it was a king size bed.

Death to all betrayers

Nick's eye popped wide open and he almost started stammering when she suggested he share her bed. Silently, he said a prayer of thanks to whatever benevolent being had brought this evening into being before standing up slowly, trying to maintain his balance. "If I have the option, I do believe I'd like the bed. It's uh... better for my back and all..." he said, trying to downplay his enthusiasm. "Lead the way, Alexandria, if you please." He shivered when he said her name again and watched her raptly.

Alexandria laughed gently and lead him to her room. She closed her curtains and went to make sure the fire was out. She went back into the room and in zipped her dress slowly. She took it off and revealed a tattoo just on her upper back. She let the dress sink to the floor and went to get comfy in the bed. She turned and looked at him, "well come on I don't have a king size pillow top bed for nothing. "She says

Nick did his best not to stare. He would not stare, absolutely not. But he did. Alexandria's body was as hypnotizing as her mind and voice, and his slightly addled imagination even convinced him that she moved with an accent as well. He carefully disrobed, managing to keep his balance, despite being a bit tipsy and thanked his lucky stars that he was more enamored than enflamed so as not to produce a.... visible display of his affection. He slid into bed, marvelling at the luxurious sheets. He lay on his side, looking into those beautiful eyes. "What's your tattoo?" he whispered.

She smiled and turned to her side."well it is a Celtic symbol for Life and Death. Bas and Saol. It's called. Druid. "She said and looked at him.Alexandria smiles and sighed. she pulled her sheet up and nuzzels into the pillow.Alexandria let out a small breath and winked at him."goodnight."She said

"That's beautiful...." Nick says quietly. He ponders the significance; opposite sides of the same coin, a bossy, uppity woman who was also beautiful, smart and graceful. "Sleep well, Alexandria," he said quietly, and in a fit of boldness, he stretched his neck forward and softly kissed her on the lips. He lingered only a moment before pulling back, smiling contentedly, resting his head on the pillow.
