That one thing from the other day
When does this take place?
500 years after the conclusion of the Quincy war arc. In the human world this is the year 2521, both humanity and the Seireitei have greatly expanded since the canon story.
What is going on in this world?
Firstly, three years after the Quincy war arc a strange and to date unexplained event occurred. Every Soul reaper, Quincy, Arrancar, Visored, Bount, and Full bringer who was involved in the war, or even briefly involved with someone else who was themselves involved, vanished without a trace. the only exception being head captain Shunsui. Furthermore it was made apparent that this phenomena effected all realms. The material world, the Seireitei, Hueco Mundo, the spirit kings realm, even hell itself all have souls now missing. in addition to all of that humans have just begun to create technology capable of just barely detecting the spiritual world and while they have no idea what it actually is, they do know something is there. Hueco mundo has also flourished since the war taking time to rebuild and form an infrastructure, for nearly four centuries they have helped the soul reapers "combat" hollows. though in reality the arrancars have been taking unique hollows and taking them back to turn them into Arrancars and bolster their ranks. This has been recently revealed and of course the deception and accusations on both sides have lead to growing tensions.
All of this pales in comparison to the true threat to this world one that goes mostly unaddressed and even those in the know seem to think it a smaller problem than it is. strange portals have been spotted opening in all realms by all factions. these portals open and out come strange beings with seemingly no reiatsu. They possess jet black featureless bodies some humanoid and some not, yet all possess unique and strangely familiar powers, luckily none seem to have much raw power. however members of the 12th company suggest that it could be getting worse but instances for study are few and thus conclusive data has not yet presented itself.
Where will this occur?
this story will cover many area's over a series of story arcs, sometimes with multiple arcs overlapping. Initially we will be centered around the Seireitei and Earth. A little later there will be missions in Hueco Mundo adding that to the list of areas. then later on we will also include the Soul kings palace and Hell. Finally there will be a hidden realm which can be accessed in various points of the story and will be crucial to the plot.
Why is this happening?
many individuals from many companies and other organizations have theories but they are similar to opinions and backsides as everyone has one and most are full of crap. the general consensus is that Yhwach had effected reality in unforeseen ways. In truth it has much more to do with the soul society, the soul king, and their shared past. to find out more you'll need to investigate yourself.
Who are the heroes?
short answer, we are. initially we will only have Soul reapers and Full bringers being playable. As soon as Hueco Mundo opens up arrancars become playable, quincies come when hell is available though the two are not really related events. while you can play any number of characters "captain class" characters are restricted to one per player. meaning if you make a captain of one of the gotei 13 companies then you cannot also make an espada. by the time the quincies come into play most folks will be of that "Captain class" so this rule is irrelevant by then.
Heres a few character creation rules to think about before i make a cs page
1. bankai is restricted to captain class characters, if you do have an idea for your bankai but arent wanting to start as a captain then you can either pm me the bankai so you dont forget or just put it in your private workshop.
2. all soul reapers are expected to be less than 700 years old. those older than 500 must not have had any interaction with any canon soul reaper with the exception of Shunsui.
3. with the turn of the modern age a lot of soul reapers have begun having firearms and modern weapons as zanpakto.
