How could some thing so fair be so cruel...
The sun beat down on the dry cracked clay of the arid landscape. Small dusty mountains peaked on the horizon littered with cacti. Any trace of water on the continent had long recessed away into small streams and rancid cesspools. This was the desolate future of mankind. No one was surprised that thousands of years of greed had led to an environmental catastrophe resulting in most of the human race eradicated. However not all life was lost. Small villages littered the land, and cactus farming became the main food source for the recovering generation. But in the struggle to survive not all will make it, and those that do never forget that there is hope within despair.
Ok kind of a rough concept I know. But if you are interested in the whole concept I would be happy to explain in more detail!
