Ana hugged Skee back, feeling relieved. Lightning struck again and she flinched. "U-um. Could we go somewhere else?" She asked, feeling panicky once more.

"Where would you like to go?" Skee smiled and very slowly began sinking into the shadows with Ana.

She grabbed his shirt, still not used to the shadow travel. "J-just somewhere with no windows." She buried her face in his chest so she wouldn't become nauseated from the shadows.

Skee sank into the shadows and they were in his room. Not the same as the dorm though. Snapping his fingers the room lit up and no sounds could be heard. "Welcome to my house. No sound gets in or out that you don't want to hear." Skee smiled. "No thunder, no lightning."

Ana looked around at his room, seeing no windows. She felt so relieved that she hugged Skee tightly and whispered, "Thank you." She observed his room, and asked, "So this is where you live?"

Skee replied, "Yep, this is my house. Shadow walking or very advanced transportation spells are the only way in or out." Skee looked around his own home, it was a single room. There was one corner being a kitchen, the one beside it being a living room. A small rather new door leading to a bathroom, and the corner they were in laying on his bed. "It's not much, mostly because I haven't been able to finish it. I plan on adding a lot more."

"Ah." Ana said, looking around the room. "You live here alone?" She asked, looking slightly sad. "It must be lonely."

"I wish it was lonely sometimes. Fellow shadow walkers constantly bug me trying to take my title as "Heir of the shadows" since I have more capabilities than any other shadow walker." Skee thought for a moment. "Though it would be nice to have some peace the second reason I go to that school is to get away from their constant attempts at fighting me.

"Heir of the Shadows?" Ana asked, not quite understanding what the title means. "And what's your first reason for going to the school?" Ana is awed by Skee's talents, wondering why he would waste his time with other beings.

"Well the first reason is because I've always vowed to be stronger than anything." Skee took a breath. "In a way I'm a prince but the title can be taken. It's like a form of anarchy, a lot more organized, but still anarchy. Strongest leads until someone takes his or her place." Skee smiled and kissed Ana. "I also now have a third reason for attending that school, and she's with me right now."

Horus didn't move much in his sleep and every so often his ears twitched randomly. He dreamed of running, as he always did. Running helped him think.

It was getting late, and the two needed sleep as well, but didn't want to wake the dog, so they slept anyways.


Mitsuko slipped into the bed as slowly as she could to avoid waking or kicking Horus.

Ana blushes after he kissed her, and smiled gently, pleased with his third reason. "So you're a sort of prince? Wouldn't I get in the way? I mean," She tried thinking of what to say, "don't you have..I dunno...princely duties or something like that?" She asked, puzzled.

"Nope. The most you'd have to worry when around me is if another shadow walker showed up. Of course only the current "king" and his queen are the only other shadow walkers who can take a physical form. So I'm being very cautious with paying attention to the shadows." Skee chuckled, "If you want the full truth I have to rip fellow shadow walkers into pieces when they attack. Like I said before we can't actually die so it leaves them in a state of death for a really long time..." Skee shivered for a moment. "I won't let any other shadow walker touch you. If they do I'll break the existence of shadow walkers and learn a pure arcane banishment spell."

"No, it's fine!" She whispered "Plus, you're keeping my feet warm, so..." She laid her head back down on her pillow, and pulled her covers halfway over her head.

"But you can't learn those, right? So wouldn't trying to learn one hurt you? And I can take care of myself, you know." Ana retorts, attempting to look tough. She started laughing at her failed attempt and fell back onto his bed, so she was now looking up at the ceiling.

"It would hurt me yes, but shadow walkers are pretty much undetected unless you're really paying attention..." Skee chuckled at Ana's attempt and gets up. "Would you like something to eat?"

"No, it's fine!" She whispered "Plus, you're keeping my feet warm, so..." She laid her head back down on her pillow, and pulled her covers halfway over her head.

Horus would have grinned, I'm glad I've achieved such an important title; designated foot warmer.

"As long as you don't make anything spicy, I'm perfectly fine with food." Ana said, making a face as she remembered the spicy omelette. "Never EVER am I having something spicy again." She muttered as she rolled over and covered her face with a blanket.

Horus would have grinned, I'm glad I've achieved such an important title; designated foot warmer.

Mitsuko only responded with a hum. She already was half asleep, it had been a long day navigating the entire school for her and Etsuko's classes.

"Don't worry, the spiciest thing I'll ever feed you anymore is cajun. Everybody loves cajun!" Skee chuckled, "But I figured we could be lazy and have a bowl of cereal." Skee pulled Ana up off his bed and walked toward his kitchen.

"Cereal this late in the day? Sure, why not?" Ana said in a joking matter as Skee pulled her towards his kitchen. "Must you pull me everywhere?" She stuck her tongue out at him playfully as they entered the kitchen.
