Cage. So many cages. Bars, prisons, torture, cruelty. There where a number of words that you could call it, but Luna had one choice word in mind.
Hell
She groaned, rolling over in the metal trap, her eyes opening groggily. She was still in her tiger form, her eyes a clear blue color. She looked around more frantically as she heard the sound of sliding metal. She pushed herself to the back of the cage, her eyes growing in fear. But soon something sweet and heavenly filled the air. Her eyes widening, she bolted to the front of the cage, smelling grass and wild life, something she hadn't smelled in such a long time. She saw one of the scientist approach and she backed up again, roaring loudly. She scientist took the cage and walked towards a small two story house in the middle of a big area, which had a lake, a large forest and some grassland hills. She looked around, her form moving fast around her cage.
The scientist set her down outside the door to the house and opened the door, standing behind the cage and opening the door slowly. As soon as it was open, Luna made a mad dash for the inside of the house, her claws racking across the wood as she ran forwards. She immediately ran up the stairs to be as far away as possible from them. They soon left, leaving her alone, or at the least, so she thought.
Vince paused what he was doing, the sound of metal screeching sent shivers down his spine. The only thing he could possibly come to terms with was that they had sent someone else. A new helpless being to pit their survival against his. Well, at least that's what they had told the last guy unlucky enough to be thrown into a giant cage with a lion.
Not even bothering to head towards the noise, Vincent continued with his work cooking in the kitchen he had claimed as his own. He had no clue how many months. How many years, he had been here. It never rained, it never snowed, nothing. Everything was so artificially controlled that it made him sick to his stomach.
Chewing on his bottom lip he chose to ignore the running feet heading right to his bedroom, keeping up with his sudden urge to eat enough food that they would have no choice but to stock the fridge again that night.
((Sorry this is so short, I'm working on a project for school :\ I'm also working on an RP idea....so that too has my attention))
Luna sighed, walking into the bedroom. She was about jump right onto the bed when a powerful smell hit her nose. She halted right in her tracks, a low growl emitting from the large beast. There was only one thing that could have created a stench so powerful that it would make any large beast stop in there tracks and flee to the hills.
A lion.
Backing up, her claws scratched against the door. She felt the growl intensify, soon becoming a loud roar. She paced around the hallway, not afraid of the beast that she knew was somewhere close. His smell flooded though out these halls, she was just to excited to smell it earlier. She growled again, turning the corner. @Hell0NHighWater
Hearing growling behind him, Vince cast a slow sideways glance at the cat stalking in from around the corner.
Keeping his full attention on the beast, he continued to cook his dinner.
"Are you willin' to eat or are you just gonna stay like that all day?"
He questioned with a flat voice, thinking about whomever this guy was had some gull to threaten him like this. After all, he was the only one left. He knew how to survive in this place they had dumped them in. He just hoped that it didn't drive this one insane as it had with so many others.
"I could care less, but it might be more productive if I could hear you speak instead of growls."
He added with a lighter tone, turning his back on the beast as he flipped the stake. He made sure to keep his posture nonthreatening. After all, it was hard for him not to remember how things where when he first arrived.
Luna flinched, looking at the man in the kitchen. She could feel her fur gradually come back, standing on hind legs until they had become feet again. "There is someone else here? Should have figured that it was to good to be true." She said, her voice harsh but clearly feminine as she glared at him. Her nails dug into the wall as she pressed her hand to the corner. She could feel her pupils narrow at him, a slight bit of feline side showing.
Vince burned himself on the pan from the ultimate shock of /her/ voice. Not a him but a her.
They hadn't ever sent a girl and he'd never believed that he would ever see one in the flesh and blood again. He stared with wide eyes, taking in this new information wasn't hard but the total unexpectedness of it all through him off to no end. Vince couldn't help but let his azure eyes stare at her features. She was stunning.
Not because he hadn't seen another female in years.
But just because she was a creature of absolute beauty.
Clearing his throat he turned back around to save his stake from burning.
"No one else but me."
He stated, figuring that he'd tell her everything she needed to know after he ate his dinner.
Luna watched as the creature across from her burned his finger on the pan. She watched his entire reaction, gathering from it that he probably though she was a dude. "Serves him right if he was looking at my chest." She mumbled, crossing her arms over her chest in defense. Truthfully, she had never seen many other females in the experiments. They where quite rare since male's tend to be stronger. However, she was one exception. She rivaled many others in the cage fights she used to be in, by force of course.
"If you're eyes get any wider, I could use them as dinner plates." She commented a bit louder, a smirk on her face.
Vince cleared his throat uncomfortable with the analysis of his expression. Turning back to what he was cooking on the stove he clenched and unclenched his jaw a few times before glancing back at the girl.
"Yeah, whatever Doll. Listen, do ya wanna eat or not?"
He asked, keeping his attention on the food so that he didn't end up burning himself anymore then what had already happened.
(sorry this is short I'm doing three things at once))
Luna could feel her brow twitch as he called her doll. "Call me doll again and I might eat you instead." She said, her eyes narrowed. She did not trust this man, since the last time she had seen one, he had tried to feel her up and he learned the hard way what happens when you anger a hungry tiger. Let's just say the scientists where not to happy.
Vince chuckled his tone lightly mocking her response in an almost playful mannor, placing a hunk of stake on a plate for her.
"Here."
He mused, placing it on the table before going back to dish up his own food taking note of the way she acted toward him. It was true that he didn't truely trust her either but at least he was being nice about the whole transition.
Luna stared at the dish, her brow raising in amusement. She hesitantly poked it, retracting her finger after she had touched it. It had been so long since she had actually eaten a real piece of meat. She licked her lips hungrily, sitting down at the table. She watched the guy with a close eye, her eye twitching the slightest bit.
Vince rolled his eyes, watching her reaction to the food. A small smirk quirking onto his lips.
It was like she had never seen any sort of fresh food before.
"You act like you've never seen meat before, Doll."
He joked, setting her plate down before her with a fork and knife. Though by the way she was practically drooling over the smell he doubted that the utensils were to be of much use.
"So kid, you have a name right?"
He questioned, unable to stop his curiosity. He was part cat, so he could hardly be surprised by the way his nature worked at times. Leaning his chin on his fists as he sat down across from her he let his azure eyes study her slowly. Waiting for her to respond to his question.
Luna glared at him. She crossed her arms defensively over her chest, huffing loudly. "I have seen meat before, it's just been a long time." She said, nodding her head. At his ask for her name, she glared at him. "I am not a kid you jerk! And why would I tell my name so someone like you!" She hissed at him.
"Perhaps because I'm the only sort of human contact you're going to receive for a while."
Vince retorted, watching her with close amusement.
"You sure look like a kid anyway, squirt. And this someone like me has provided you with food. Unless you don't want it. Then I'll gladly just eat it myself."
He mused, reaching across the table for the plate of stake.
Luna scooped up her knife and stabbed it into the table next to his hand. She growled in a low tone. "You still aren't worthy of knowing my name. And don't call me squirt, maggot." She hissed at him, her eyes practically spewing white hot furry at him as her canines began to protrude out from underneath her lip.
Vince chuckled softly, unaffected by her sudden burst of violence. He was the king after all, he wasn't one to be swayed or intimidated easily.
"Maggot? Oh you wound me with your harsh words my dear."
He teased, a smile coming to his face as he leaned forward. Vince kept his hand where it was on the table his gaze staring steadily into hers, knowing that she was some form of cat from the irritated slits her eyes seemed to be shifting into.
"Calm down kitty."
He mused, knowing that he was just going to get a violent response out of her rather then a playful one.
Luna growled at him. "Call me kitty one more time and you will be losing a finger." She said, glaring at him. She was not amused by his teasing words, nor his attempts to subdue her temper. She remembered the scientific notes that her "caretakers" had pointed out many times. Words such as Violent and unstable where used a lot.
Vince found himself studying her slowly, his eyes didn't blink for a while. His smirk seemed to be glued to his pale lips as he made a point of checking her out. It had been too long sense he had seen a girl. A girl with some spark in her at least. He wondered how long it would actually last in this larger more facy Prision cell.
Shaking his head, he rose from the seat opposite of her.
"Whatever you say, cupcake."
He chuckled, digging through the fridge and pulling out a coke before dragging his azure gaze back to her.
Luna glared at him and crossed her arms over her chest like it wasn't any of his business to be looking, though it probably only increased his desire to look at her. She just rolled her eyes and started eating her steak hungrily, her fangs sinking into the meat with happiness as she relished in the savory juiciness of the meat.
