What were your main influences in this version of the character?
Most people pick 'n choose when it comes to making your own version of a character or setting.
I'd definitely say my main influences would have to be the comics joker during the period where he was a hero, the portion of the television show Gotham where the Joker is sort of a hero and definitely many different rights movements, including India's independence movement. His philosophical agenda is a sort of tribute to the band Tool's music, and he is a tiny bit of an allegorical comparison to one of my favorite artists, bassist Tom Morrelo. There's a whole lot going into this character.

Was that White Knight or is this another time that he did that?
I kind of fell out of DC during New 52 so it's completely possible that he did and I missed it.

It was actually before new 52, I can't remember how but some event resulted in him forgetting batman's true identity and gaining his sanity again. He became a detective that worked for Bruce Wayne, if I remember correctly, until he lost his sanity again.

Was it called "Going Sane" or is that another arc?

odd choice with going with the Joker as a base for the Riddler but okay... Just wanna know why he's doing medical science stuff with Immortality
Actually, I just remembered it was in the later detective comics, somewhere around issue 800 or such. He went into a coma after being attacked by White Night. He had a point where he "reformed", I think that's what it was referred to as. As to the immortality think, I was just thinking, what else would a genius scientist attempt to research? Also, it will play into how he becomes an active member of society once more.

We should probably take this to the OOC chat so it doesn't clog up the CS page.

I'll actually be surprised if this gets accepted but here goes nothing. Either way, you can go ahead and remove Kotomine from my list.

"Get it now? This is what it means to kill something."

Name
Shiki Tohno

Universe From
Type-Moon

Gender
Male

Sexual Orientation
Probably heterosexual. Could be bi, considering it's Type-Moon.

Species
Human

Bio
Born Shiki Nanaya of the assassin clan, the Nanaya, the boy held the greatest potential of the entire clan, as he was believed to be able to surpass his father, who was said to be the greatest assassin in the clan's history. However, shortly into Shiki's life, the entire Nanaya clan was massacred by a man named Kouma Kishima, under the orders of Makihisa Tohno. The young Shiki was spared because Makihisa was amused that the boy had the same name as his own son, "SHIKI Tohno," so Makihisa decided to adopt the child (who was too young at the time to be able to process anything of what was going on), amused by the coincidence.

From there, Shiki lived at the Tohno estate with his new brother, SHIKI, and his sister, Akiha, as well as two other redheaded girls, Hisui and Kohaku. At roughly age 9, however, SHIKI went insane because his Tohno bloodline, which has demon blood in it, and also because SHIKI just so happened to be the next vessel chosen by an infinitely reincarnating demon, or Dead Apostle Ancestor, named Roa. Bear with me. In his insanity, SHIKI attacked Akiha and was about to kill her, but she was saved by Shiki, who was mortally wounded by SHIKI's attack, leaving behind a massive scar on his chest and leaving him with chronic anemia. From there, Akiha managed to revive Shiki by sharing some of her life force with her. Makihisa set SHIKI up to be killed, but regained some sense of sanity at the last moment, so Makihisa just caged him up in the basement instead. After that, Makihisa hypnotized Shiki so that he wouldn't remember anything of the incident, and sent him off to live with distant relatives, the Arima family.

Before Shiki came to live with the Arima though, while recovering at the hospital, Shiki realized he had developed a most curious ability; the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception. With these eyes, he could see special lines and points on every single person and concrete object that represented their "death," but the trouble was he couldn't really turn it off. During his recovery, he also met a strange, traveling woman named Aoko Aozaki, who called herself a witch. The two bonded over the following days, and Aoko gives Shiki a gift that she stole from her sister Touko, the "Mystic Eye Killers," a pair of glasses that can seal away the lines for as long as he wears them. Eventually, Aoko leaves, and Shiki doesn't see her again for quite a long time.

By the time Shiki was 17, the news was broken to him that his "father" Makihisa had passed away, and now, he was able to return to the Tohno estate and live there again, reuniting with Akiha, as well as Hisui and Kohaku, whom he didn't recognize at first and had since then become maids for Akiha. During this rough time, a lot of shit goes down. Shiki meets a vampire goddess named Arcueid, finds out that his senpai Ciel is actually an Executor for the Church, remembers the full extent of his past with the Nanaya and Tohno, and goes up against SHIKI again, fully possessed by Roa at this point, finally managing to kill him and the soul of Roa with his Mystic Eyes. And that's just Tsukihime.

In Kagetsu Tohya, which follows shortly after, Shiki slowly begins remembering deeper details of his past, like his Nanaya persona and the nightmares of Kouma Kishima. He also meets Len, Arcueid's familiar who saves Shiki's life after an accident by placing him in a time loop.

In Melty Blood, he meets a girl named Sion Eltnam Atlasia who asks for his and Arcueid's help to kill her ancestor, a Dead Apostle Ancestor vampire called Night of Wallachia, so they go do that. In Melty Blood Re-ACT and Act Cadenza, Aoko, who is back in town, accidentally created White Len after interfering with Wallachia's remains, and she becomes the new main villain, but she gets defeated too. In Melty Blood Actress Again and Current Code, Shiki and friends then go up against Dust of Osiris, an evil version of Sion from an alternate future where she goes full vampire. She also gets defeated.

As shown in supplementary works like Talk and Prelude, Shiki will eventually be unable to hold back his Mystic Eyes with his glasses, and will have to wrap his eyes in bandages to seal them away, because if he sees lines of death too long, he goes crazy. But that hasn't come to pass just yet.

Fun times.

Personality
Just a normal high school boy you could find anywhere. Except not really, but y'know. He holds a unique perspective on life compared to other people he is around, not so concerned about dying, that "just living is enough." In normal day to day exchanges, he can be prone to being a bit rough around the edges, especially to those he thinks are a bit dumb, but he can also be just as profound, serious, and a caring person. As said of him, "slightly mean to those he loves."

He also has an alternate personality, that of his dormant Nanaya bloodline which holds the true potential of his abilities, as well as his darkest thoughts and compulsions. It gets out every now and then when he's nearby anything demonic.

Skills
Physically, it is said that Shiki is capable of Olympic level feats due to his Nanaya training, as well as unique Nanaya arts such as Flashing Scabbard, allowing him to attack extraordinarily fast, and Flashing Dash, moving so quickly he can disappear from the human eye.

Powers / Abilities
Shiki's most notable power is his Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, which is a bit of a doozy. With these eyes, Shiki can see mystical "lines" and "points" on anyone and anything that represent their fated death, and to trace the lines or stab the points would be to realize the fated destruction of that entity, essentially killing and destroying whatever it is he traced on.

The Mystic Eyes are even able to negate anything from magical barriers, armor, regeneration, reincarnation, and so on, rendering most any defense against it completely useless. Essentially, with just a trace or stab, Shiki effectively kills the very "concept" of the entity.

Weaknesses
Because his skills are more taxing than what the normal body is meant to do, he tires rather easily, especially when coupled with his anemia.

As lamp-shaded in the bio, Shiki cannot entirely rely on his Mystic Eyes of Death Perception all the time. Firstly, the eyes specialize in killing living beings or concrete objects, and even then, he can easily over-exert himself. Because the human brain is not meant to process as much death as someone with Mystic Eyes can, Shiki can easily suffer from an aneurysm or massive bouts of nausea from using them too much. Shiki is especially at high risk of he tries to use his Mystic Eyes to kill something more abstract, like a poisonous substance moving inside someone's body, much less something with a more complicated makeup.

Also, because the Mystic Eyes see the "fated death" of an entity, he cannot see any lines on any entity that is decidedly immortal, so he can't do anything against them, because they aren't fated to die at all.

Others

Has a sweet theme song in Melty Blood.

oof now that's a doozy to determine, but I'd probably contend he would be able to permanently kill her too, since the villains mentioned in the bio like Roa has been able to reincarnate over hundreds of years, with Shiki's Mystic Eyes being the only thing that was able to permanently kill him, though an actual fight would be a different story; he would hold the theoretical ability to kill her, but that's entirely if he can get close enough to Jean and trace her lines.

Basically, I would contend he could kill her, but more than likely she could beat him in a head to head battle.

Name: Mordecai
Universe From: Regular Show (....It's anything but)
Gender: This anthropomorphic creature is indeed male.
Sexual Orientation: Straight ... As portrayed by the fact he has had numerous girlfriends , and then a wife after the End of The Series
Species: Anthropomorphic Creatures (Mordecai is a human-like Blue Jay, Rigby is a human-like Raccoon)

Personal Information

Skills (Mordecai):
  • Great Leadership Abilities (When needed) . Can give great speeches which enhances this significantly.
  • Somewhat good of a artist
  • Crafty at heart.
  • Is very, very good at video games (When this will be mandatory will definitely not be soon)
  • Almost never would lose in a staring contest
  • Has been shown to be a great fighter, holding his own against several enemies well above the average person in raw power and skill . He also mastered Death Kwon Do
  • Skilled Dancer
  • Skilled Rapper
  • Skilled Driver
Personality (Mordecai):
Mordecai is mild-mannered and laid back. Like Rigby, he lacks clothing, plays video games, sings karaoke, and drinks copious amounts of coffee and soda. Of the duo of two main characters, Mordecai displays far more patience, responsibility, and intelligence than Rigby does. Although almost every problem caused by the duo is Rigby's fault, Mordecai does cause problems at times, though they are unrelated to work. An example is in "The Unicorns Have Got to Go" when Mordecai tries to attract Margaret with DudeTime, but ends up attracting a group of ill-mannered, lazy, and irresponsible unicorns that wreak havoc. Mordecai puts up with Rigby's laziness and immaturity, once even filling out a job application for Rigby because he claimed it was "boring." Mordecai tends to be more sociable, friendly and serious than Rigby, and has much more manageable relationships with others. Although Mordecai naturally despises work, he strives to keep a good reputation, once almost losing his life to avoid being labeled as a slacker, and vouching for extra work to pay for concert tickets. Unlike Rigby, Mordecai doesn't talk about or openly express himself or his feelings. Therefore, Mordecai's most obvious shortcoming is his inability to engage his love interests by speaking his heart. Whenever he was around his crush, Margaret, he would often stutter or lose focus. In spite of this, he often made up excuses to go to The Coffee Shop just to see her. He is a serious person and wants people to do the right thing. It is also proven that he is fond of the word "dude" and the saying "oooooooh!," as he and Rigby often exclaim, although they do stop saying this when they get older as seen in the finale.

Weaknesses: Nothing too notable enough to be a consistent bother other than the fact he is still vulnerable as both a regular person would, and would die from the same natural causes .

Bio

(Not spoiling anything... It will be a simple summary of their adventures)
This anthromorphic Blue Jay has had a relatively rough life since they were in College. Then, he met Rigby... And everything normal about their lives started to go downhill from there. Both decided to work at a park , because they thought it was going to be easy. For a time, you can consider this to be the case. At least, until the things that clearly were not normal started centering it's activity around the visitors of the park, forcing these lazy bums to try to do at least something in order to survive every deadly encounter. Their bonds as close friends was tested at many turns, including a rather nefarious plot set in the future . Along the way, they made some very interesting friends and enemies, acquaintances and loving soul-mates , and made a life for themselves due to the park .

"Puzzling, isn't it?"

Name:
Edward E. Nygma

Universe From:
D.C. (not main continuity)

Gender:
Male

Sexual Orientation (Optional):
Heterosexual

Species:
Human

Bio:
Early Ventures
Edward E. Nygma was born to 3rd generation Irish-American parents, his mother passing away during childbirth. His father loved his mother very, very much, so Edward grew up with a bitter, hateful father. Edward loved puzzles as a child, but rarely had play time as he was either being sold off for work, punished, or at school. He never had any friends at school. He knew the answer to any question the teachers would ever ask, and at times he questioned the teachers, to which they had no response, thus earning the title, "The Riddler" from his classmates. Edward was known for sketching creepy pictures in class, leading to uneasiness and eventual fear from his other classmates. His isolation eventually caused him to have violent tendencies. When he saw a male student behind the school assaulting a female student, he became enraged and beat the boy to a pulp. The boy went into a coma, and Edward was kicked out of school, during his senior year. Edward was kicked out of the housed by his father, so he hopped from one place to the next. He made a few friends in the underworld scene, and set up a small lair for himself in an abandoned strip joint, called the Riddler's Den. He began committing petty crimes like low profile murders, robberies, and arson for one of the biggest crime names in Gotham, the Penguin. The Penguin, liking his trademark "Leave a clue on the crime scene", began hiring him for bigger jobs. Eventually, the Riddler had become one of the top advisers for the Penguin. The Riddler learned of the other gangs, and soon, hatched a plan to betray the Penguin. He made a deal with the infamous Joker, to sell out some of Penguin's supply centers for a large sum of money. The Joker payed up, so the Riddler upheld his end of the bargain and used his funds to create his own organisation, Question Mark LLC.

Question Mark LLC
While still maintaining his criminal enterprise, Nygma funded scientific experiments on the side. He self studied himself into modern biology, mechanics, and physics so that he could work with engineers. One notable idea the Riddler had was a concept he coined as "Brain Drain", which was essentially the absorption of another's intellectual ability, but was quickly cast aside by his hired scientists as the mere impossibility of such a large task. Instead, he funded some things such as weaponized Tesla coils, anti grav hoverboards (which never got completed), alternative energy sources and an immensely more powerful tuning fork (although S.T.A.R. Labs beat them too it. Of course, not really lead by a moral compass, the Laboratory also delved into unhealthy practices, like human experimentation and such, which led to it's closing, and Riddler having to shut it down. The Riddler, of course, lied about his involvement in any of the harsh experiments, while maintaining the disposition that his assets did nothing wrong, his employees did. Riddler was aloud to keep Question Mark, but he had to hand over his head scientists for extensive jail sentences. He then proceeded on with his expiriments, as if nothing happened, and hired new researchers.

Gang War Era
Soon after creating his own gang, the Penguin learned of the Riddler's treachery and declared war. The three largest gangs were that of Joker's and Penguin's, and in order to defeat them, he had to gain the respect of the other, smaller gangs. He started pulling heists, recruiting, getting seats in city council, spreading his influence all over Gotham, in the end, many of the other gangs joined his own, eventually securing his gang as one of the Big Three. The result of this was a new scramble for territory, as the Riddler had in essence removed most of the holdings of the smaller clans he had now added to his gang. This caused a scuffle with the police, and because of this, the masked vigilante Batman set his eyes upon the Riddler. Edward decided the next, and what seemed like the most logical course of action to secure his legitimacy: Kidnapping the mayor. His attempt took about 3 weeks of extensive planning, bribery, lots of money, and eventually even a couple of his henchman. Of course, not all of the Riddler's men were clean either. Batman got information on the scheme and was at the scene when the Riddler attempted to kidnap the mayor. He was promptly captured, and imprisoned for a year. During his imprisonment, he crafted a very risky, but very possible way to take down the Bat himself.

Personality:
Edward Nygma is a self proclaimed genius and, as he's told others and the media, a "Pacifist". To the one's that truly know of him, they know of his swindling abilities and his adeptness at lying and manipulating. Edward is known for making very few real friends, and loving even fewer. It's said that Edward has only truly ever loved three people, Himself, his father, and himself once more. He's constantly known for his backstabbing ways and his strive for his own gain, and only that. Nygma's abilities of deception are more than just skills though. Nygma is a huge fan of all puzzling, intricate and downright confusing things. He loves to exercise his mind. For having such an active mind, Edward is surprisingly stable, and can remain calm in even the most stressful of instances. For this, many fear his violent outbursts, and know he does them for reasons, typically as a manipulation tactic. Being known as a master manipulator, and downright liar, the Riddler is trusted by nobody.

Edward has significant daddy issues. His father abused him, punished him, and sent him to work for the significance of his childhood. In all the free time Edward had, he either brooded or solved puzzles. As a teenager, he had an old computer and became very adept at coding. Giving himself the code name Mastyer0, he hacked many things just for the fun of it, not typically meaning any harm. Nygma was one of the few to get to the last stages of a project known as Cicada 3301, but he was beaten to being the first one to solve it by about an hour. He's always harbored a resentment to programmers and computer scientists ever since this occasion, out of jealousy, making sure to refer to computer sciences as "useless skills" and "mumbo jumbo". Nygma always took interest in cooking, as a recipe is just a puzzle to be unlocked to create a masterpeice. He is known for being a good host, although you never know whether to trust his food or not as he may poison you.

Skills:
Can speak 32 different languages
Fantastic cook
Tech savvy
Quick learner
Great at riddles
Self studied biologist, engineer and physicist

Powers/Abilities:
Superhuman intellect
Professional Tactician
Master Strategist

Weaknesses:
Believes himself to have unmatched intellect
Not physically more powerful than an average man

Others:
Nygma is known to trick his opponents.
Nygma has only been apprehended by the authorities once.
Nygma leaves a calling card at each crime scene, whether it be a riddle, a big green question mark, or an unidentifiable green object.

Ta-Da-Da-Da! A triple-A Simpleton!--
The Mighty Strike-Out Slugger, Junpei Iori!

Universe: Persona 3/Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

Gender: Male

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Species: Human

Bio: Although the Shadow Operatives' auxiliary unit Junpei Iori seems like a lecherous goof on the surface, his true nature is that of a kindhearted, driven individual who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. Despite some heartache and grief caused by either or including his inferiority complex, his own (albeit temporary) death, a strained relationship with his alcoholic father and the (equally temporary) death of Chidori Yoshino, his one true love, Junpei proves time and time again that he's capable of pulling through during the direst of situations, and that he earns his self-given title of Da Man. After his adventures with SEES and his time in high school drew to a close, Junpei took up a position as a little league baseball coach, finally becoming the leader he had always dreamed of being. He is drawn into the events involving the Red Mist after falling asleep on the train and missing his stop, winding up in Inaba and pledging to discover the mysteries of the small town with the help of his old teammates.

Personality: Junpei is the archetypal Magician Arcana character: goofy, perverted, immature and upbeat. He fancies himself a ladies' man and frequently tries to hit on girls, with little to no success. Despite this, he is capable of being kind and caring, and he often cracks jokes and calls people "dude" to make them feel better. He is also very reckless and hot-headed and rarely thinks things through, such as when he blindly chases after a Shadow when he, Yukari and the protagonist are on the monorail during the May full moon event, leaving the latter two to fend for themselves until they catch up to him. However, Junpei does have his sensible moments as well, such as when he repeatedly warns Yukari that going to the back alley behind Port Island Station is dangerous, when she considers it an "adventure."

However, Junpei's 'class clown' persona is largely a facade to hide his deep insecurities; as far as he's concerned, fighting is the only thing he's ever been good at, and he hates that there's someone better than him at even that. It's because of this that he is initially annoyed that Tartarus and the Dark Hour would soon be gone, as that would mean taking away his purpose in life. Sometimes, he is shown to be upset, depressed or angry as a result of his father's alcoholism, whom he resents and has a poor relationship with. Besides these displays of negativity, however, Junpei's attitude usually remains carefree and lighthearted, and he rarely shows his true feelings in the presence of his friends.

Skills:
} Little League Baseball Coach: Junpei is "proficient" with two-handed weapons, though it would be more accurate to say he's apt at using them, as his inexperience with them leads him to use longswords and blades moreso as blunt weapons, specifically baseball bats. This is, in fact, what leads him to become a little league baseball coach, and while he most certainly isn't a professional, he CAN score some pretty sick home runs.
} That's Pretty Much It: Yeah, this guy sucks at life.

"After Junpei was fatally shot and killed by Takaya Sakaki, leader of Strega, Chidori used her Persona Medea's ability, Spring of Life, to sacrifice her life energy in order to resuscitate Junpei. This triggered a fusion between Medea and Hermes, Junpei's initial Persona, giving birth to Trismegistus."

Trismegistus takes the form of a red and gold humanoid machine with a bird's beak in place of a head. As a Persona of the Magician Arcana, he specializes in a mixture between fire skills and physical skills, using his wings and feet as both bludgeoning tools and bladed weapons, while using the Philosopher's Stone he carries in his beak to invoke infernal spells and a variety of other powerful techniques. This includes:
Spring of Life, a skill created by Chidori's residual life energy which essentially grants Junpei an always-active healing factor,
Victory Cry, which increases the rate at which Junpei heals outside of combat,
High Counter, which can reflect physical assaults back at the attacker,
and Fire Break, which can nullify any fire-based defenses and fire resistances.

Weaknesses:
} Wind: Trismegistus, though an incredibly powerful Persona, certainly isn't the strongest. His affinity towards fire skills means that he also possesses an innate vulnerability to Wind-type attacks, which can severely injure both him and Junpei.
} Reckless Demeanor: Junpei is reckless, hot-headed and always looking for opportunities to prove himself. His insecurities about not being good at anything except fighting only fuel this rashness, blinding him with jealousy whenever someone else ends up hogging the spotlight.
} Ace Defective: Simply put, Junpei isn't the smartest. Though it's made clear that the only reason he comes off as stupid is because he simply lacks the motivation to study, it doesn't excuse the fact that he's pretty book dumb compared to his teammates.
