AH!!!! X! Have got read any of the supplemental material? The Silmarillion in particular? It's my favorite of that mythos!

Oh my goodness. Read the Silmarillion. Admittedly it reads like a history book, but the information and tragedies within it are amazing. Best best best of Tolkien's works. I highly recommend reading it.


Ugh, and yes, all Orlando's Legolas brings is exposition. I miss the elf's sarcastic snarky wit from the book.

Aww. Watch the extended if you ever get the chance. It's the only way to watch them. The theatrical cuts just feel lacking now.
