It's been eight years since the world came to an end, corpses had raised to feed on the flesh of the living and survival has a low chance. Almost everyone had lost the humanity they once owned, turning into despicable creatures not so different from the corpses that ate away the world. The new and only law is kill or be killed, you decide who you kill and by who or by what you die. There are groups, travelers, man eaters and walls, some not as dangerous as others. Just do what you must to survive.

Abigail, Shuno, Noah and Emiko are members of a community in the North. The North is believed to be one of the safest place because the cold slows down the walking corpses, but they can no longer accept more people. The four of them are now in the ruins of a small city, one of the roads being the main route towards the North. There the group ambush passers to take whatever supplies they have they consider useful for the community they are part of.
