Fandom Berserk: Free the Black Swordsman

As for time period, it could take place just before the Fantasia arc and during the Millennium Arc.

EDIT: To be more specific, we could start the scene just before Griffith takes down Ganishka, creates the city of Falconia, and unleashes the monsters of the Astral Plane into the living world. I usually like to start here because the Millennium Arcs occur before Guts and Company gets on the boat and Rikert returns to the city.

But the plot idea is that Guts has been captured and locked away by Griffith.

That is why it is more conceivable that it happened somewhere prior to the Fantasia arc. We could just say that Zodd captured Guts following the battle with Ganishka where Griffith appeared over the town.

I pictured it that Guts was set upon by Griffith, as soon as he returned to the mainland. That way the canon characters would be beyond their canon development when they're encountered later on in the RP.

I wouldn't say they have developed much yet outside of Casca being back. That leads to some interesting possibilities though.

So we start with the premise Guts was captured when he returned to the Mainland and his friends are in the wind. Judeau was captured by the unit our characters are in, Judeau himself seeking the Black swordsman and his companions because by rumor he could tell its Guts. Judeau could be the start of our characters' turn from the Falcon

I like the idea. I do have a question though. Don't you have a character that is an Apostle? Wouldn't they know what went down already? Or do you have something special in mind for them given that the only rule Apostles have to follow is 'do what thou will'?

My apostle will be out of the picture, I may do away with him since he'd be the only non human

That is kind of sad. Your apostle had a pretty badass story. Perhaps they could pretend to be human for awhile and later it actually comes out that he is an apostle?

Yeah that could work, he was trying to fly under the radar for so long and hasn't transformed in forever that he doesn't give off an apostle presence. That would make his first time using his powers again like coming out of coma, interesting.

That could be a pretty interesting plot point later on in the story once the characters start turning away from Griffith. It would be a definite betrayal and 'Can we trust this guy?' moment.

That does sound like it would be pretty awesome

Yeah. I also keep imagining the first night Judeau gets captured and the brand starts throwing monsters everywhere. Dash is going to be like:
