Since most people tend to make characters without reading the rules, I've decided to add them here so that I make sure everyone has read them and wonder whether they are qualified for this roleplay or not. I do not make my rules to seem like a dictator but I just like things done a certain way and organization, along with detail. Just saying before anyone has anything to say. :3

Rules:

1. Please show some respect towards myself, my roleplay, rules and your fellow writing comrades.


2. I am only accepting 3 female and 4 male characters. No exceptions~! This is not on a first come, first serve basis. I will choose the character and writer that I feel is best for the developing of the story.


3. Even though this is labeled Casual, I still want to see a bit of detail along with character development in your posts. I will accept nothing less than two or three paragraphs per posts. If that seems like a lot then maybe this isn't the roleplay for you.


4. Include everyone's character or at least try to. Their close friends so everyone should be included whether they have a brother and sister type of bond or a love-hate relationship. Include everyone in some type of way.


5. Do not GodMod, Autohit or Metagame. Do so and you'll be immediately kicked from the roleplay.


6. Please use correct spelling and grammar. Occasional mistakes are okay but try not to make mistakes in every single post. I want to see detail in your posts, along with character development, thoughts and reactions.


7. Have your characters come from various backgrounds and unique personalities.


8. Please be committed and active in the roleplay, both OOC and IC and if you are known for making a character then disappearing, I advise you not to join. It's not fair for everyone else.


9. If you turn in a W.I.P{Work In Progress} character sheet, you'll have at least two days before completing it before I send you a PM, revoking your chances of joining. You'll know when your character is accepted because I will like the character and place an embolden, red wording on the character.


10. Have fun! Writing is all about having fun and do not take things too seriously. If you're a serious person then please do not join.


To prove you have read the rules, in the extra section of your character sheet, please include your favorite television show. I think these rules are fair enough.

Biography:

Carmen was a normal child in Spain until her godfather, Marco, killed her parents by stabbing them in the heart in front of the poor little Carmen. Since then, Marco was sentenced to life in prison and Carmen moved back and forth to different relatives until her Aunt Mary and Uncle Alexander put their hand up and took Carmen to New York to look after her. When Carmen was about nine, she started to steal small little things she found around her street which she then sold at markets. As she got older she stole more things until she got caught when was only 15 and went to juvenile detention for six months and was released when she was 16 she started more graffiti art and steal things

The events in his life still has still made an impact in him today as the flashbacks, nightmares, etc. occur often.

Biography:


Marvin has had a pretty decent life in his younger years. His academic abilities were thriving, he had plenty of friends. That's everything you every wanted when you are younger. Life was great for him. His older brother, Thomas, on the other hand was the complete opposite of himself. He was doing drugs, smoking, coming home late and all the other things 'Bad Boy's' do. Marvin knew that Tom love him and his family, but it seemed like he didn't care for anything now. He was living his life to his fullest, and he admired his older brother for that.


One day, when Marvin was about 14 or 15, he had missed the bus home from school. He knew that his parents would be working, so he decided to call Thomas to come pick him up. Half an hour later, he still hadn't pitched. Marvin had thought that he had bailed on him again. Little did he now, a car and a truck had just smashed into a motorcycle registered to a boy named Thomas. In the time it took for Marvin to blink, his brother was dead. It was instant, and he thought it was all his fault. Marvin blamed himself, and at one point so did his parents. After that, everything changed. He became a mirror image of what Thomas was. Marvin took drugs and pretty much failed every class.


There was nothing that his parents to do other than to hope that he would just start again. They moved into city and things began to change. Marvin still took drugs and partied even more than usually. But he found a group of friends that will be with him forever.

Biography:


Kahawis grew up a in a very nice home and both her parents were very influential people in her community. Her mother is the clan mother and her father was one of the head chiefs for the longhouse, she has one older brother and he went to college for business and to play lacrosse. When Kahawis was 6 she asked her mother if she could play lacrosse with her brother, her mother told her that girls don't play lacrosse, it's against our tradition for girls to play. For a few years she would wait for her family to leave and then she would play by herself. Because of her families reputation she had to be very cautious about what she could do or say, because people look to her parents for advise and to some they are considered role models.


One activity that Kahawis loved more than lacrosse was to dance, her mother enrolled her different dance classes to learn traditional dances.


She quickly advanced into the older group and started competing. When she turned 15 she stared getting into drugs and wanted to go out and party with her friends for a few months she basically stayed under the radar, sneaking out at night, lying to her parents, even steeling money from her brother. Her parents basically disowned her, and didn't like to be around her in public and would basically lock her in her room so no one would see her because their reputation was far more important than being there for their children. Just before her 16th birthday her father went away to visit another tribe, and on his way back he was killed when he lost control of his car and went into the river. Kahawis shut everyone out, she didn't talk to anyone or do anything. The only thing that she could think of to help her get out of this was to play lacrosse, so she left her little reservation and moved in with her cousin, realizing how sheltered she actually was, she did just did what she knew how, going out smoking and drinking. Once she met her new friends she felt even better, She enjoyed showing them her culture and learning about things about them and where they came from.

BIOGRAPHY:


Avalon grew up with two happy parents in a middle class family. When she was 5, her mother gave birth to two twin brothers, to the family's delight. However, when she was 13, one of her 8-year old little brothers was diagnosed with leukemia and died six months later. As a result, Avalon got a tattoo of falling leaves on her back because she and her brother used to go to the park together to watch the leaves fall once autumn hit. After her younger brother's death, the entire family became extremely protective over the twin brother and feared that he too would be diagnosed with leukemia.


Because this tragic death occurred at the beginning of her adolescence, it took her a long time to recover from the emotional toll. She began to resort to hardcore drugs to deal with her pain, including acid, coke, LSD, shrooms, and ecstasy. She even began dating a drug dealer who was 7 years older than her in order to gain access to those drugs. However, when she decided to get clean and break up with him, he sexually assaulted her and tried to rape her. Luckily, her ex-boyfriend's older brother came in at the right time and saved her. Through the support of her family and friends, the incident has made her realize how precious and short her life really is. She is now emotionally stronger and content with her life.

Standing at a absolutely towering 5'6" and weighing 120 lbs. Oliver is the epitome of lithe. He's all angles and skin and bones and all the food he eats seems to disappear into some sort of enigmatic abyss. He's not fit by any means either, even if his body is bare of most fats, and even in his middle school days when he ran track and played hockey all his prepubescent muscle was lean and unnoticeable.


He's always looking quite dopey with a head full of straight, yet messy brunette hair, that's never once seen styling gel and quiet, downturned almond-shaped eyes.


His eyes are somehow very expressive though, wide and hazel in color.


He has thin lips and a thin, almost elfish face overall, with a long, straight nose, high cheekbones, and pale skin with only a very light scattering of freckles over the very bridge of his nose. His ears are fairly small and he has attached earlobes, his left ear has a scar spanning the bottom half of his earlobe where a earring had been ripped out once.


His neck is long and thin and just as pale as his face and leads to a very prominent collarbone.


He has long limbs, or at least for his height, yet small hands and feet, which he is convinced is very odd-looking.


Other than his ear-scar Oliver also has a large burn scar on his left hip from when he was accidentally shot with a wayward Roman Candle on New Years, a long scar down the length of his right thumb earned after slicing open the thumb accidentally with a sizable kitchen knife, and a scar on the bottom of his right foot given to him from a rusted nail he stepped on with his bare foot. Other than that he only has a few stray burn scars from a hot glue fun or something or the other and a writing callous on his right ring finger.


He wears size six shoes.

Clothing:

Oliver doesn't care much about how he looks as long as he's comfortable. Therefore he is often seen wearing the oddest combinations, and it's fairly easily to get him to wear virtually anything as long as he's comfortable in it.


His usual combination though is a thin, canvas military jacket that's a little too big and has with a fur-lined hood, straight-legged jeans or cargo shorts, a tight, dark t-shirt, and black converse or brown, thick-soled lace-up boots. He does mix things up depending on the season at times, like in the summer he sheds his military jacket and dark shirt for no top at all and his converse become awful surfer sandals, and in the coldest days of winter he pulls out a thick, long-sleeved sweater to wear under his military jacket and a pair of red, wool gloves.


All in all, he spends a lot of time in boxers and plaid pajama bottoms anyway.

Likes:

• Animals- Oliver never understood why anyone had to be strictly a "cat" person or a "dog" person. He personally preferred neither over the other and in general has some high degree of affection towards most any animal.


• Indie/Folk Music- Sure he likes his techno and dance and pop, but if he really just wants to settle down and relax he'll turn on some good old indie or folk.


• Whiskey- Oliver actually isn't a huge drinker, at least not like the rest of his friends, but when someone breaks out the whiskey, he just can't help himself. He inexplicably loves it.


• Smoking- He's no chain smoker, but since he's started he's rarely gone a week without smoking.


• Storms- He loves being outside when it pours, it's calming, like smoking or being drunk. He only likes it when the raining is pounding though, he can't stand a drizzle.


• Peter Pan- He loves the movie and has read the book and watched all the versions of it.The live-action, Disney, he's even watched "Finding Neverland" about the writer of Peter Pan.


• Charles Dickens- He doesn't typically come off as someone who likes heavy, classical literature. But once upon a timeOliver was someone who read and read and read and worked and worked and worked, and Charles Dckens reminds him of those times.


• Sleeping- Who doesn't love sleep? The doesn't need to be a reason to like it.


• Hot Chocolate- He doesn't really have a sweet tooth, in fact ask the boy to choose between chocolate and chips, and he'll choose chips, without fail. But he loves this drink, the sweeter, the better.


• Rural Areas- He's not a huge fan of the city, he's someone who likes feel closer to his roots and the world at large. The city connects one to people, not the earth. He prefers to see the stars over city lights.


• Freedom- Even if he knows it's little more than an elusive concept with too large a price, he often toys with the idea of complete, utter freedom. Freedom to do what he wished without the eyes of others trailed on him.


• People- He finds them fascinating, comforting, fun, surprising. People are incredibly indescribable and that's why he loves them.

• Music Boxes- There's not a real reason for this unexpected obsession, but Oliver quite likes the sound of the tinkling little trinkets.

Dislikes:

• People- They're frustrating, judgemental, he constantly has to watch what he does and says, everyone has some expectation and sometimes being with them is too exhausting.


• Smoking- He wishes he didn't have such a bad habit.


• Seafood- His over-active imagination grosses him out over this.


• Political Correctness- Yeah, he's gay. And if you've got a problem with that, he really couldn't care less. Because he's not just gay, he's himself and his sexuality is just a single part to him as a person. He doesn't want to be seen as gay, he wants to be seen as a person. And he doesn't care if others agree with him or not, because everyone has a right to think what they want, and hating others for hating him just creates more problems for him.


• Caring- He hates that he's someone who cares too much, so he masks it with a seemingly easy-going, care-free exterior.


• Over-thinking- He does it. He hates it. But he does it all the time.


• Vanilla Ice-cream- Don't even get him started. It's too sweet. The stuff makes him want to vomit and die.


• Being Told What he Wants- Because he may not know what he wants yet, but it's definitely not what you just told him he might want.


• Drugs- he does them (mostly just weed though) but he hates them. They're like cigarettes, but worse.


• Horror Movies- He hates to admit it. But he's really easily scared, take him to see a horror movie and he won't be able to sleep, even with the lights on, for a month after and that movie will still haunt sometimes for the rest of his life.

• Disappointment- He disappoints a lot of people, fairly often, but it never gets any easier. He hates the feel of having others disappointed in him. And there was time in his life when he would do anything to keep people from being disappointed, but at some point it became too much and he just stopped trying. Even if it hurts still.


• Ginger Ale- His mom used to give it to him when he was sick, so now he associates it with being sick whenever he drinks it, and becomes a bit nauseous.

Habits:

• He smokes.


• Every time he gets out of the shower, he sneezes.


• When he's bored in class at school, he spins his pencil around his fingers.


• He salutes people as a deadpan joke whenever he's going off to do something boring or ridiculous.


• When he's nervous he folds his arms tightly over his chest.


• He glares at people he likes or finds attractive.


• He clenches his teeth really hard when he's concentrating.


• He always curls up his right leg when sleeping on his side.


• He always makes wishes at 11:11.


• He covers his mouth when yawning.


• He always chews with his mouth closed and cannot stand people who chew with their mouth open.


• When he's annoyed with someone his right hand will twitch slightly and clench into a fist at times.


• He always has trouble staying up on New Years, even though he stays up way later practically every other day of the year, but by midnight on New Years he's always struggling to keep his eyes open.


• If he likes someone, platonically or romantically, he'll play with their hair. Espeically if their hair smells good.


• When he's excited he cannot sit still at all, he has to get up, walk around, run around, something.

Fears:

• Horror Movies- For obvious reasons.


• Mirrors in the dark- A remnant of horrifying childhood experiences with the Bloody Mary "curse", he refuses to have any mirrors in his room because he doesn't wanna sleep with them at night.


• The Dark- Oliver doesn't care who you are, everyone's a little scared of the dark, no matter age, gender, or character.


• Sleeping Alone- This is a fear that only acts up once in a while, when he's feeling especially alone in the world.


• Disappointing Others- He hates being the reason for others unhappiness, no matter what other people say.


• Being Caught Smoking/Drinking- It's a miracle he hasn't been caught yet, and everytime he lights up a smoke or cracks open a bottle of whiskey, he reminds himself that he's one step closer to being caught.


• Becoming Useless- He absolutely doesn't wanna waste his life away, but that seems to be the direction he's headed in.


• Being seen as/caught Vunerable- He hates feeling powerless or at the mercy of others. A fear nobody can seem to remedy.

Personality:

Oliver is chill and subtle. Calm, easy-going, straight-forward, inexpressive, he's easy to get along with and easy to be around because he doesn't ever seem to expect much from other people and accepts most as they are. Seventy-five percent of the things that come out of Oliver's mouth are sarcastic or snarky comments, the other twenty-five percent is odd, needless thoughts that have no real place being voiced out.


He doesn't appear to care what others think of him, and isn't really passionate about anything, especially of the political nature, as he hates to think about any sort of politics. He doesn't mind being labelled at all, as he understand that it's in human nature to put things neatly in their little boxes, but he doesn't like to be seen as nothing more than his label. Which is why he swears he'll never live in an extremely liberal place, he likes his balance between liberal and conservative. He's not easily angered or provoked to action, but when he is you better be ready for hell, because he becomes a devil, albeit an awfully immature one. He goes from pettily not to speaking to you for months on end to screaming and kicking constantly, his forgiveness and mercy is not easily earned.


He is easily pulled into things though, such as parties or smoking, not that he minds. He knows that ultimately he makes his own decisions and that's what matters.


On the inside Oliver is a very different person than he is with his cool, steady, and calm exterior, he's extremely sentimental and nostalgic.


He's overly-emotional and sensitive. He constantly looks back at his life so far and regrets and mourns. He often pities himself and is confused about what he wants. He tries to search for motivation somewhere in the older parts of his heart, but becomes depressed when he can't reach for more than a moment. He's constantly worried about what so-and-so thought of his actions and his dress and what he's done, then wonders why it matters. His thoughts are a muddled circle of regret, wonder, and worry. He overthinks what has happened and what is to come and becomes easily annoyed with little things people do. He is scared and small in his own mind, and sometimes he's even lonely and wishes he had someone to curl up with at night. He's not so sure of himself and questions who he is, but then pushes it back thinking, 'why does that matter, either way?' It's a good thing he's able to act so cool on the outside and has no problem controlling his emotions, because if not he would've embarrassed himself long ago. Instead he just keeps all of his overwhelming, melodramatic thoughts to himself because he's also not one to easily open up to others out of a fear of vulnerability, no matter how much he loves people.

Biography:

Oliver was born in Macomb, Michigan to Joseph and Frankie Banks and from the day he was born always was Mommy and Daddy's little boy, he was perfect in all aspects of his life. As a child he had many friends, he loved to play hockey and had a promising future on the junior hockey team, he was kind, incredibly polite, and respectful, his report cards all throughout elementary and middle school was flawless, he was good at art and easily learned how to play the piano, he was hard-working and honest, he was the perfect son.


Of course that was completely in outward appearances only. Inside he was dying, he loved to please his parents, he knew it was the right thing to do, he enjoyed hockey and playing the piano and art and learning, but it wasn't all him. Sometimes he wished to be alone, he didn't want so many friends, he didn't want these expectations, he wanted to be good for him and just be him. As a middle-schooler he faced the question of his sexuality alone, knowing that his parents would be disappointed if he admitted he was gay. He wouldn't be perfect then.


Then everything hit the fan when he was fourteen and his family moved and his younger sister was born and he came out to his parents. It all became too much, Oliver almost had a nervous breakdown half way through his freshman year, he was too stress by schoolwork and being the perfect son, and then he stopped trying no matter how much it hurt to see the disappointment in his parents eyes, because it wasn't worth it, his parents never praised him when he was doing well, why did it matter? And it wasn't as if his parents were homophobic, in fact they really don't care that their son was gay, a little shocked, maybe, but disappointed, not this time. What really did Oliver in was seeing how much joy his younger sister brought to his parents just by being born, and he won't admitted it to anyone else, but he's jealous, she brought joy that he could never to his parents no matter how hard he worked himself. He realized it didn't matter and he was just tired, he had closed himself off to the world, and resolved to find something new for himself, even if it pained him to disappoint his parents.


After that Oliver began mixing with a different crowd, his grades didn't necessarily drop too much, but he began causing trouble and skipping classes, he wasn't sociable, he didn't play any sports, he became idle and laid-back with no real direction in life, he wasn't honest at all, but then again he never really had been honest, he got his ears pierced without any permission, he didn't want to care anymore, even though he cared immensely, so he tried to act the part. And sure he's convinced everyone else that he's gone sour and doesn't care much, but he's never convinced himself, and he's afraid he never will. He misses that time when he was thought perfect.

Elijah is a tall, average build young man. Standing at a whopping 6'1", and 165lbs Elijah isn't one to mess around with. His skin is a dark brown complexion, having a light hazel color in the sunlight. Elijah's jet black hair is always well kept, keeping a brush on him at all times. He stays well groomed, occasionally shaving his beard down so that the hairs don't get bushy. As for his physique, it's quite good. Biography:

Elijah was born in Mandeville, Jamaica. He grew up with both parents, David Taylor, and Mary Anne Taylor in a small neighborhood. It wasn't until you reached the city that life became erratic. Elijah's parents started up a restaurant when he was two years old, it was his father's dream. The restaurant was called Pot Pourri, it was a small establishment that had a lot of meat on the menu. Growing up in Jamaica, Elijah's family didn't have much money to their name. Especially in Mandeville, where majority of the people were low on their luck. Elijah's father decided that a change of scenery would do them some good. So they decided to move to America, where they hear all sorts of stories of good fortune. It wasn't until Elijah was 6, that his family moved to America where they established their new restaurant. This time it was called Jamaican Queen.

Growing up in a new environment was intimidating for Elijah, especially coming from a whole different culture. In school he was picked on a lot for his accent, and a bit of his skin tone. So Elijah decided to practice his speech, to sound more "American". That's when Elijah turned 9 years old that he was able to turn on, and off his accent. Speaking naturally to his parents, while also switching his accent for his friends. It was sort of like living a different life for him. People who meet him, never guess that he's from Jamaica.

When Elijah turned 16yrs old, his father was diagnosed with a severe illness. Not one that would take him suddenly, but one that would slowly hurt him. With Elijah knowing this, he helps out as much as he can around the restaurant, with sweeping and mopping, he even takes orders. Around this time Elijah also began to smoke marijuana, losing focus of what was important. His mother and father emphasized that school should be his biggest concern, wanting him to have a successful life. Here and there, Elijah would break hearts of some unlucky ladies, unsure if he wants a relationship with someone. Watching his father suffer with his illness gave Elijah a different outlook on life. But now he has a great group of friends who are very supportive.

Reeve stands at 6'2" usually towering over most. Despite most people hating being as tall as he is, he simply loves it. It always gives him an advantage with the ladies and girls just love it when guys are taller than they are. His height also causes people to assume that he plays a sport such as basketball. Sadly, Reeve's hand eye coordination with anything other than a drink or smoke actually sucks. Reeve's natural hair color is brown but he dyed it electric blonde simply because he wanted to. He dyed it the summer before his Sophomore year and since he liked the color and it made him stand out, he decided to keep the color. Also, the color happens to bring out his bright blue eyes that are one of the first things people notice about him.


His hairstyle is usually done by him running his hands through it a couple of times. When he wakes up in the morning it is usually an unkept mess and Reeve finds it reaching past his eyebrows. As most can tell by his appearance, Reeve is a well kept together kind of guy. He's by no means like his father, that's his older brother, but he sees no harm in wanting to look good all the time. How else is he supposed to get all the girls? Reeve's skin color can often be matched to his hair color but with just a pinch of tan to indicate that he does indeed go outside. He may not look it, but Reeve weighs around 160 lbs. When he tells people this, they are usually shocked but Reeve likes to make sure that he keeps himself healthy and fit despite all the things he does. Reeve's body is also covered with moles that are scattered throughout his body.

Reeve likes to pride himself in his clothes because they are a form of self expression as well. He likes to wear whatever he sees looks good on himself. Biography:

Reeve's father is the state rep so he is gone all the time leaving him by himself and the maid. His older brother is a favorite while Reeve lives in his shadows. Reeve feels worthless etc and goes against everything his father stands for blah blah blah. he uses people and gets overprotective over girls he slept with in case he wants to hit it again. His mother died giving birth to him. He blamed himself for the whole thing and so did his brother. His father is never at home and his brother is already in college so he's never at home either. It's just him, the maid, and his dog Marx.


Reeve is the total opposite of his older brother, Austin. Austin was a straight A student in highschool with the perfect 4.0 GPA. He was accepted into ever college he applied to, earning many many scholarships. Greg decided to go to Princeton to study law. Greg is the shining diamond in the family while Reeve is like a piece of coal. Reeve's father always compares him to Austin, often asking why Reeve can't be like his brother and care for once. Reeve usually always counters with "Why do you care? Greg's doing fine." Also, his father and he aren't on the best of terms but his father always bails Reeve and his friends out of trouble when he needs too. Despite all of this, Reeve could care less about his family. The only reason he stays is because he's only 17, he has his dog to take care of, and his mother's side of the family wants nothing to do with him. Everyone thinks he has it made, but they don't know the struggles Reeve goes through within himself.
