(So, most people aren't here right now, but I am putting the starter on now anyways. They can reply when they come on.)


Maika had everything she needed for the first day at benders academy. She was very nervous to meet other benders that weren't fire benders. She clutched the straps of her bags and sighed. After a moment of mentally preparing herself she walked into the school. Maika was amazed at how big the school was. She pulled out her map that every new student gets, and looked at to where her dorm was.


"Okay, so air benders on the first floor on the left, earth benders on first floor right," Maika paused and rolled her eyes at the next one.


"Water benders on the second floor left, and fire benders on the second floor right. Okay, so I need to go to the second floor to get to my room, great." Maika said sarcastically. Other students started to walk in as she started up the stairs to her room.
 
Lee walked in and looked around amazed. He couldn't believe he was actually going to this school. He calmed down a bit and looked at the map he was given for the school." ok so earth benders are to the right then." he put the map away and headed for the dorms. He looked back at the other students that were coming in and felt a bit bummed because not many of them looked like earth benders.
 
Amaya shut off her laptop, taking a sip of her coffee. She'd been online, going through all the new students files. They were certainly in for an, interesting bunch this year. She could tell there'd be a couple difficult students, probably plenty of fights throughout the year. There usually were, despite their attempts to stop them. It never got too serious though.


Leaving her office area, she left the school building, heading casually towards the dorms, figuring she might as well keep an eye on the arriving students, get a feel for them, all that lovely stuff. Three years ago, it had been funny to see that some of the students weren't but a few years younger than her. Nowadays she was a bit more older than them, but not by too much. It made things interesting as well, but she dealt with it adequately.
 
Misa twisted herself around so that she could see her 'brother', Reiji. "Can I go out there yet?" She asked from her spot in the floor of Reiji's office. "You could've gone out there twenty minutes ago for all I care." He answered without even looking at her. Misa frowned and pushed herself to her feet, brushing her dark bangs out of her face. She walked to the door and turned around to face Reiji. He had his back to her as he carefully moved things from boxes to his desk. Misa stuck her tongue out at him and spun on her heel, leaving to find other new students.


Reiji Taniyama rolled his eyes and smiled as Misa left his office. He loved to tease the younger girl, it was just to easy to annoy her. He shook his head and sat down behind his desk, looking back to the pile of papers he had yet to file. He sighed and took one more gulp of coffee before returning to his work.
 
Maika found her room and walked in. She turned the lights on with a simply lift of her hand. She looked around the room.


"Nice room." She said to herself before leaving the room and turned the lights off with her bending. Maika decide to go to the first floor to try and make some new friends. She lots of people, but decide to lay low and let others come to her.
 
Lee had finally reached his room, he just opened the door and stuck his bag in and walked back to the entrance. As he did he looked around at everything in the school. As he walked he didn't notice Mika and walked into her and when he mad contact he stumbled forward, when he got his balance he looked back at Makia and said," I'm sorry are you ok miss?"
 
"Oh, I'm fine, don't worry." Maika said. She regained her balance and smiled at Lee. She found this the perfect time make a new friend.


"I'm Maika, what's your name?" She asked extending her hand for Lee to shake.
 
"I'm Lee, I'm an earth bender." he smiled and asked," so what type of bender are you Makia." he hoped that she had nothing against earth benders. He met one two many of people that had a grudge against earth benders for some reason 
He then extended his hand to shake hers
 
"I'm a fire bender." She said as she let go of his hand. She kept a smile on her face, hoping the same thing Lee did. She knows that some fire benders use their bending for evil and power, but she wasn't like that at all.
 
He sighed quietly in relief. She seemed pretty nice, so he stuck his hands in his pockets and said," cool, you know I always thought fire bending could be really useful in the right hands. If I had to pick any other element it would have to be fire." he chuckled a bit, then noticed a stray piece of metal on the ground, he picked it up and rolled it into his hands to where it became a sphere
 
"Really? It's not all as cool as it seems. It can really be a curse..." Maika pushed back the memories breaking through into her memory. She smiled and watched as Lee bended the piece of metal into a sphere.


"You can also bend metal?" She asked, even though the answer was obvious.
 
He nodded and said," it had always fascinated me and I practiced really hard at it. I got pretty good at it. You want me to bend this into anything for you?" he had a grin on his face. No one at his town thought that metal bending was need so he was happy when some one was interested in it
 
"I don't care. You pick." Maika said. She wasn't really good at choosing things, she always let others choose for her.
 
Lee thought for a moment then squashed the sphere and when he lifted his hands up a sliver flame rose right below his hand. He had turned the metal into a sliver flame and handed it to Makia," so what do you think?" he had a nervous smile on his face
 
"That's amazing!" Maika was blown away by Lee's metal bending. She took the metal and smiled.


"I have never seen anything like this!" Maika has only been around fire benders all her life, so she was truly amazed at this.
 
Lee's nervous smile went away and he was happy," thanks its not the best metal bending in the world, but I try." he rubbed the back of his neck and still couldn't believe someone actually enjoyed his metal bending
 
"Well, that's why you are here isn't it? To improve your bending?" Maika smiled, guessing that was the reason he was here. Mainly because she couldn't think of a better reason for him, or anyone coming to this school.
 
"yeah that's true, but I'm doubting any of the teachers here know how to metal bend. As you probably know not many people metal bend these days." he sighed at the thought of not being able to improve his metal bending
 
"Really? Well, don't have doubt, maybe you can pick up some skills from earth bending to help improve your metal bending." Maika said cheerfully.
 
"yeah maybe. So is there any special bending you can do Makia?" if she was a fire bender then she could probably do something with lightning
 
"I can also bend electricity." Maika said. She was proud of both of her bending powers. Maika flipped some of the hair that fell in front of her face out. She doubted that anyone would be interested in the electric bending power.
 
"really I would like to see that if you don't mind." lee smiled because she seemed kind of reluctant to show it, but he really wanted to see a real life electricity bender
 
"Really? Okay. Hold on." Maika looked around for a electricity socket until she found one. She started to use her bending and a little bit of electricity came from the socket over to her. She moved her hands around it until it was a little ball of electricity.


"And now we have a ball electricity, just don't touch it." she said seriously.
 
Lee nodded and looked in amazement at the little ball of electricity in her hand it was so beautiful." wow that's really cool looking." he was glad he finally met an electricity bender
