I'd just hate for it to be something sprung at the last minute that would somehow derail what SlySilvie and I talked about doing a month or a month and a half ago.

Nah doubt it. It was just exams for Silver's character. Depending on how she does - she unlocks new capabilities.

((In this case, it is Ultimate Bullying for Marcus, who is just.... So upset and I'm living, but also dying because.... I can't write it

My advice in that situation is to just start writing anyway. No matter how bad the thing that comes out is, you can always fix it up or change it later. The important thing is to get words on paper. I find that the longer I wait when I have writer's block, the harder and harder it becomes to finally do something. So just writing something, anything, is the best solution for me in those situations.

Well, I don't know what it's for or what you intend to do with it, but you could always use a word document or the private workshop on this site to write it and then figure out where to really post it later on.

I post things write after I write them or I forget them and they go... Out of date, I guess, because I end up writing a conflicting thing

Well, it's your call, totally up to you; however, I tend to find that writer's block of any kind is a lot less likely to go away if you don't write. On the other hand, I also find that, writer's block or no, once I actually start writing, I have a hard time stopping myself. It's all mental. You just gotta force yourself to sit down and do it when you can.

Of course, a lot of this might just be personal. Your mileage may vary on how this works for you.

I liked the use of perspective to get inside your character's heads a little, though. First the werewolf, then a little bit of Marcus. I'm a fan of third person limited because I like viewing the world through the lens of different people.

In some of my favorite books, switching perspectives like that is often used to really cool effect. The way one person describes, say, a river, can be vastly different from the way another does, and the way each person does it can tell you a lot about who they are in addition to giving more objective info about the world or the environment.

I try to emulate this kind of thing whenever I have Arryn and Roland in the same place. Having them view or describe themselves and the events around them differently to emphasize their personalities, strengths, and weaknesses. As well as their priorities. I'm often a little worried they sound too similar because of the way I write, but that's one way I try to give them their own unique flavors.
